This was a surprise visitor who was checking out my bird feeder. He left hungy but what a beauty and right outside my bay window. It's a Cooper's Hawk.

90 here today. I've made sure I went to the garden to water my seedlings because it's also been a little dry. Now, at 8:36 it's thundering out there ...whoohooo!

jazzygirl, your roses and iris flowers are beautiful!

I don’t have much sun around our house, so I have trouble growing most flowers. Last year I planted Dafs and grape hyacinth bulbs and Pulmonaria (Lungwort) that gave me some smiles this spring.imageimage

Rain and snow won't quit and our ground is too wet to till so we opted to put my peas in a planter box.

Wren- roses do very well out here. Can I grow them? Nope. My neighor across the street though has a lot of them and they are always spectacular.

hi there, I thought I might join you here. I'm not real good at posting though. Gardening has been a hobby my whole life. Currently I am interested in native wild flower gardening. We live in a pretty wild area known as the environmental corridor of Sugar Creek of SE Wisconsin.. we own 7 acres of wetland, 11 acres of woodland and 5 of other like lawn. At one time I was digging in the garden 6 hours a day. Now I'm good with 3 or 4. Yes I pull weeds in the woods and use fire in the wetland.

We experience frost late here in spring so won't plant any anuals till after memorial day. I'll post pics someday
