Found a neat way to identify what is in my garden. I got some paint stirring sticks recently and as we planted the veggies, I wrote on them with magic marker what the rows wer

BluebirdDE - what a list of plants, you did good. I would be worn out. But oh what pleasure they will bring.
CoachVicky - I bet it is a site with your Bassett Hound gazing at the tomato's. My golden, Jazz, will strip a blueberry bush in no time.
Enerva - look forward to seeing your first of many rose blossoms

Heidi, I've strarted using Preen weed killer with plant food. I pull the weeds around my flowers then sprinkle the Preen around the flowers and no more weeds. The plants have to be established before you can use the Preen tho.

I love seeing the pictures from everyone.
This is such a happy place on this site.
I saw my Oncologist yesterday. I shared with him a couple of articles on how gardening helps cancer survivors and how dirt can increase serotonin levels. He said he never stopped his children from playing even eating dirt when they were small. Today he said his children are allergy free because they were exposed to so much thru dirt. I thought it was a funny approach..

Hoping to get pictures of my flower bed and veggie garden when they get going.

Enerva, that little rose plant looks so nice and healthy too. Am also anxious to see the bloom.
Lori, I may try that in the flower bed. Thanks. Usually the weeds I am hoeing are in the veggie garden. I can't let them take over! I always prided myself on a weed free garden. Now if I can get hubby to get me those straw bales so I can put down newspaper and then cover it with straw. It helps with weed control and to keep moisture in the soil a little more.
KB, what a friend to bring those!
MOmmy, yes we want to see your efforts too. I get excited watching plants grow and can spend hours on my bench just looking at them.
CoachV, I agree. Dancing and gardening are my stress relievers and helped me on my journey.

Heidi, the Preen can be used in your vegetable garden also. I use it around my tomato plants.
KB, what a wonderful friend!
Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

Good to know Lori. I will remember that for future reference.

Thanks for that info, Lori. I'll look for some this weekend! I carpool during the week so I can't stop on the way home or would look sooner.

I order all my stuff for the garden on Amazon, I'm lazy that way lol

Coach Vicki- we all need to find things that give us hope and inspiration during difficult times. For me, music, yoga and gardening have gotten me through some of the hardest times in my life. Being in my yard and gardens can automatically lift my mood on a not so good day. In the winter, being with my indoor plants helps too. I love that your MO gets this too! I spent a lot of time in the dirt growing up.
There is a lot of suffering on these threads as I am sure you have found out. We try to keep things happy and light here!

Well we have lost one tomato plant, it looked like it might not make it from when we bought it. Have to get a replacement for it and something to fill in the empty space we still have in the garden.

M0mmy, I hate it when one of our babies dosen't make it. I ordered pablano pepper plants on Amazon and I proceeded to drop them when I opened the box so I lost one of them. I thought I had ordered seeds as advertised but got live plants. Oh well I don't get to watch them poke their heads up out of the dirt but the peppers will still taste wonderful.
Enerva, I liv your rose bush it looks so healthy and happy. I can't wait to see your ride when it opens up.
I'm sitting here sipping on coffee and watching the rain falling and picturing my plants in the garden are growing. I'm getting ready to open the pool this weekend. One more thing to take my mind off of things and added time to enjoy my surroundings.
Gentle healing hugs to everyone 🤗🤗

Well duuh on me. I am an Amazon Prime member and order lots of other stuff from them. But it never occurred to me to look for Preen....or veggie plants! The neighbors must think the UPS guy and I are having an affair as often as he is here to drop packages off. LOL
I am envious. DH hasn't said a word about putting our pool up this year. It's a lot of work for him. Two years ago we were in a drought at the beginning of the season and told we probably wouldn't be able to fill the pools. Last year was my journey with the BC and we were too busy thinking of anything and everything else to think of the pool. I guess if we put it up I will have to look for a foob that works in the water.
MOmmy I have a couple that might not make it either. Don't know if I'll replace mine as there will already be too much in the garden to care for.
Flaviarose, those sure are some pretty shrubs and trees. Mother Nature makes me smile. :-)

I NEVER considered Amazon for my garden and we are prime members too.
Thanks for letting me know!

triple crown blackberries...yeah I am getting some this year!
Here are a few pictures I took this morning before heading off to work.
grapes
apples
Asian pears. The tree suffers from fire blight so they may not ripen before the tree meets its demise
my 1st ripening tomato

Heidi, yummy! I hope your pear tree survives, is there anything you can do to save it?
I ordered all of my pool opening supplies on Amazon this morning. It beats driving 40 minutes to the nearest pool store to pay twice as much. All I need is to pick up the 16 gallons of chlorine to shock the pool from our local hardware store. I love Amazon way to much! LOL

I found a spray for the fire blight but it was supposed to be sprayed as the tree bloomed. :-( I keep cutting back the worst blackened branches but that blight runs amok. And I so love Asian pears and the in store prices are always high. It was nice to walk to my tree and eat 2 or 3 (they don't grow too big here in Oklahoma).
Amazon and QVC-my two other loves. Ohhh that reminds me. I just got my order from QVC which were solar lights that can be color changing and have a remote control! I am going to set them out tonight and do a red, white, and blue pattern with them.

Heidi, I can't wait to see pictures of your light display.
It's cold and rainy here today perfect for laying around and doing nothing. I collected some salad fixings from the garden and made my first fresh garden salad. As chilly as it is I'll need to make some soup to go with the salad.

Well I don't have to water my flowers and garden today as we are getting rain off and on

My cow's tongue cactus is covered with bud and getting ready to bloom. The flowers are a yellow/tangerine-ish color.
