7: also in your pocket tomorrow. Also also bothered inordinately by having to remove my wedding ring for surgery--bad enough beforehand but coming out of sedation in the recovery room, I keep looking for it, fruitlessly.

Jersey: yay, in a manner of speaking, for starting rads. Hoping things go smoothly and with minimal SEs!

Hey 7: shoehorning my way into that overstuffed pocket of yours.

Jersey: so satisfying to have that first rads session done: you're on your way!

Jersey......I shared this with some of the other ladies...........when I started Rads I went to the store where they sold lottery tickets..............I bought 38 $1.00 scratch off tickets.....All the same type which is wht the woman told me to do.....she said buying an entire strip you usuall always come up with winners...........
Each day when I came home I scratched off one of my tickets........as the tickets became less and less.......so did my Rad treatments.................soon I was out of tickets, and out of Rad treatments...............

    Bonus.........I was $95.00 richer.............just a thought.

Ducky, what a great idea! The hospital where I had rads had pretty good, free coffee, so every day a cup of that was my reward. But a daily lottery surprise is a fantastic idea!

When I finished rads, right before xmas, I went to a very upscale chocolate shop to buy some gifts. They sell a transcendently wonderful hot chocolate with whipped cream, so that was also a finishing-rads reward. Come to think, I discovered that hot chocolate a number of years ago just as the novocaine was wearing off from a root canal.

Not that I'm big into food rewards or anything. Nah.

7: don't worry about losing the list of well-wishers. We'll all still be here, waiting to hear how your surgery goes when you're ready to check back in with CrazyTown, whether we get thanked by name or not.

    'Cause we will.

Lucy, I wish it was summer here. I am in bed with my electric blanket on high, trying to warm up my toes. It's supposed to be below zero (farenheit) tonight.

Ducky, that $95 must have made the the whole process a little brighter. I wish I'd thought of something like that.

Seven, we'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

7- what a sweet face your buddy has. My dog was the BEST THERAPY EVER after my sx. He could sense he could not get up too close to me, but did everything to stay close and I could feel the mojo coming from him.

She will know just what to do! What's her name? Adorbs.

    Katy thanks for asking..

Friday surgery went well. They put a drain back in and tweaked the girls. I'm pretty sure I'm having issues since I had rads to both sides (5 yrs ago +). Back on pain meds but already weaning off. Saw PS today and he removed the drain. Now hoping my ab will play nice and absorb any fluid and not cause another abcess. I can finally say I know I have turned the corner, the worst is behind me now (knock on wood).

I think I had told you guys that my beloved Emma (13+ yr old dog) hung on to surgery day but my DH had to put her down the very next day. I was/am so heartbroken. She would have provided so much love and support going through this. I miss her every day. 7 I love your picture!!

Now I am starting to think about a new puppy. Emma will never be replaced but I am ready for my next love :). Am I ready for a puppy 5 weeks post DIEP? May shoot for Feb/March. I just feel so desperate to fill this hole in my heart!! I know you animal lovers out there know what I mean.

Hoping to hear from 7 and any updates re our Mayor.

Meanwhile, her's a picture of Emma as a puppy and then one from last year
