Welcome, Phoebe58! There's a welcome basket around here somewhere, complete with Jamaica Blue Mountain latte with ativan sprinkles, tea sandwiches guaranteed not to stick in awkward places, alcohol-free towelettes to mop up the chocolate, a kitten, Jello shots to play "U.S. presidential candidate said X. Again.", and a key to your own room at the CrazyTown Inn.

    Welcome, Phoebe!

Happy Birthday, Ducky! I love that saying you posted. Like Phoebe said, birthdays are good, but it would be nice if our bodies were as young as we feel!

Molly.. Love the photo of Ayden 😘

PTS.. Glad you got a good night rest.. What is a siesure pill? I want one.!

Sandy.. I worked in nursing homes for years. I know what ypu mean about the ladies there preferring the men.. Just a male walking into the room was enough to spark the old dears up.!!

    Rainny.. Enjoy your time away.!

Octo.. Don't ever be afraid of retirement. when I was diagnosed Hubby ( an electrical engineer) took extended leave to give me emotional support , and in the end neither of us ever went back to work..!! I was 55, he was 56.. We are much more careful about what we spend now, but we don't want for anything, and enjoy the extra time spending with family, friends, gardening etc.. In fact we often say now that we don't know how we had the time to work. !!

    Take care all x

Hi, everyone. I am so glad you are feeling better, Beppy.

Ducky, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! You are one in a million.

Rain, your grandma was some gutsy lady to let the fish swim in the tub, then croak "em. I guess if I get up the nerve to eat them, I will try to make them myself. I know how to make dumplings and chicken soup. Next to my meatloaf, my family likes my chicken and dumplings best.

Sandy, I may have to try your recipe. Is the matzo meal ground up matzo bread, or do you make the matzo meal? I have never seen those fishes around here, so can substitutions be made in the type of fish? I actually like the idea of the stock jellying, it has a concentrated flavor. So, it is eaten chilled?

Shorfi, I can totally relate to people insinuating we had made cancer visit our bodies. I had people sidle up to me and ask if I drank too many diet drinks. I had people ask if I ate lots of sugar. I also had more people than I can remember, telling me a story of their cousin/friend/sister/co-worker, etc. I nodded my head and then asked if that person was okay, now, and most of them would say, no, he/she died. Aargh!

I think it is wonderful that some of you play for others. My Uncle Butch and Aunt Nicki, were part of a group that went around to senior citizen's centers, and nursing homes, singing and playing for them. MY uncle died doing what he loved to do. He died of a heart attack on stage during a performance.

I couldn't post yesterday, because I was too doped up. And made no sense at all. Today, I am not as doped up, at least not yet. I went in for the surgery Friday morning. I think y'all made me calmer than I usually am before surgery, by being in my pocket. I appreciate it. My breasts are sore as the dickens, my tram flap revision was cut open way more than I though it would be, and it hurts. BUT, that area is way less pronounced, and that makes me happy. Where he took out the chemo port, is very swollen and hurts. Now, somehow, it slipped my mind that he was going to do more fat grafting, so I was surprised when he brought that up. Well, all over my flank area and beyond, looks like they flung me around on the operating room floor and beat me up. I pulled my pants a few times down to show my husband, so I could freak him out. I am in a surgical vest, and the "saran" wrap, but they look more even to me. I know I am facing the possibility of surgery on my kidneys in a few months, but I am trying not to dwell on them. After all, both places were there three years ago, and before that, even.

Sandy, I read that you said you were NOT going to gorge yourself on stuff you shouldn't eat, but the first time I read it, I thought you said you WERE going to gorge on stuff. I thought, yeah I am going to do that, too.

Proud, are you feeling better? I hope so. I wish I could go for a swim. It makes me sleep better. Which muscle relaxer do you take? MY doctor keeps giving me flexeril

I agree with the lots of pillows after surgery. I must have about ten of them to prop me up. As for old button down shirts, I should've swiped my husband's shirts. I did buy a bunch of sport savvy athletic type outfits, with nice knit pants, and the jacket zips all the way. I have used one of those after every surgery.

Thanks for all the best wishes and ativan sprinkles, Lucy, Octo, Katy, and the rest, here in Crazy town.

Beppy, I am praying for you, and happy you're feeling better. I might try to find that sign for our porch.

Queen, I like the gift basket, especially the kitten.

Dropping in from Minnesota to say Happy Birthday to DUCKY!!!!!!

    And welcome back, Beppy!

Lisa, chicken and dumplings sounds delicious.

More later; DS and I are here with five (count them) electronic devices: laptop, two phones, an iPad and an iPod touch. Oh, and there's also an alarm clock in the hotel room. We're in a different time zone from where we live, and I think the six devices have three different times between 'em! We're massively confused about what time it is! At least, we were; I think we have it straightened out now. My wristwatch is broken, so I didn't bring it. It's enough to make one CRAZY!!!

Happy Birthday Dear Ducky. I almost missed it. Your family sure knows how to honor you. From my side of the cake in the picture, it looks like you are celebrating 18 years. Love that tiara.

Happy Birthday to Italy, too. Looks like I really did miss your special day. Hope you had a good day.

And Dear Beppy, how wonderful to see you post. Keep on healing; we need you here.

Hello to everyone. The porch sign is perfect; I'll vote for it. Jan
