Good Evening Crazies!!
Wendi, I hope all went well with your bone scan today. I had no idea you lived so close to us. The next time we get together, I hope you can join us!!
Poppy, Climbing in your pocket for tomorrow. Good luck...I hope all goes well!! Please let us know when you get a chance. The sunset picture was beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. Did they have a good time while away?
Smurfette, You're very welcome. We've got to celebrate each birthday we get!! Plus, we look for any excuse to celebrate here in Crazy Town.
M0mmy, I hate doing laundry. I find it so funny that when my DH throws a load in the washer and then puts it in the dryer, he thinks that HE DID the laundry. I'm not sure how he thinks it gets folded, put on hangers and put away. Maybe the laundry fairy? hahaha
Ducky, Thanks for sharing your experience with COq10. I'm really very happy to hear it's giving you relief from pain. I wonder if it would benefit non AI users like me?
Jan, Great to see you posting! Sorry to hear about the mess. I just hate when work is done in the home and the dust gets everywhere. It's good you have a cleaning lady though. I hope you were able to get it all done. How do you like the new cook top? I hope to see you next week too!! I will pass along your hugs.
Iris, I hope the upcoming appointment with the neurologist goes well. Please keep us updated when you can. I'm glad the foot is feeling better.
Sandy, Safe travels to you!
Molly, How are you holding up? Sending calming thoughts in your direction. How is Wyatt doing this week?
We are leaving tomorrow mid morning for Oregon. This will be the first time traveling with our little rescue, Murphy. We also call him Mac. He is such a snuggle bug. He is a Jack-a-bee (half Beagle/half Jack Russell). I sure hope he travels well.
Wishing you all a pain free, comfortable night.
Love to all....quiet crazies too!!

OMG. Murphy is adorable.

Morning all! Hugs all around!
Tell me about it Beppy! At least my hubby puts his own laundry away if I haven't already!

Thank you Ducky!
I have had an unexpected stop in Crazy Town. I went to my PCP yesterday for a six month check and mentioned that my husband thinks I seem out of breath a lot, and that my stamina is not great. Also, I cough, which I have basically done my entire life. Fast forward to me at the hospital, having a CT scan of my chest. The voice on the other end of the waiting room phone told me to go home and wait to hear from my doc, which I did, only to miss his call at 8:15. His message: there are abnormalities on your scan - nothing dangerous or urgent, but I would like to discuss them with you. TTYL
So, you can imagine how I'm spinning all this out. Hopefully he'll call this am. I have to drive to Pittsburgh today to see the Rheumatologist - not something I want to do in my current frame of mind.

Good morning! Wendi, good luck today with scan.
Molly, also hopping into the pocket tomorrow. Thinking of you, and I hope it goes well.
Love the lunch picture of Jan, Poppy, and Beppy!
Murphy is Just So Cute!! Hope he does okay in the car.
Pennsygal, don't you love it when the docs say don't worry, but....? Hope you reach him soon.
Temps heating up for what looks like a record long heat wave. I don't know, I think bread baking is on hiatus. I don't do well with ovens when the thermometer reads in the 90s. Driving up to Brown tomorrow with DS, just for the day. I think he's more likely to end up at a liberal arts school, but he needs to include some other possibilities in the mix. Long shot, however. We'll see.
Stay cool, everyone!

Ok - so it looks like I have some scarring in my lung(s?) probably from rads or chemo or both. They are referring me to a pulmonologist - never a dull moment!
Murphy = awesome travel pal! I love to take my dogs on the road!!
Rainny - my niece also considered Brown, but it wasn't right for her. What other schools is he considering?
0 -
Pennsy, how soon can they get you into see the pulmonologist? And we could all use some dull moments these days!
0 -
gee thought I posted earlier but missing now
Oh well, I mentioned that my pcd is a pulmonary specialist, love her as she has kept my asthma in check for years
Hot out there, did shopping and as usual my legs are tired after only a short grocery thing

So far I haven't needed the a/c today. Tomorrow is a different story.

((pennysgal)) Sorry about the lung issues. Beppy, ADORABLE doggie! Have a wonderful trip. Ducky, do you find CoQ10 gives you ummm "bathroom" issues? I took it for a bit and oh my goodness I had to RUN to the bathroom. Have a great trip Sandy! I have a 5:30 call at the hospital tomorrow morning for my 7:30 am ticket to the "theatre". I am crazy at work and home but wanted to say HI! Thank you for the pocket party and love you all.

Yikes, PennsyGal! They will probably just give you some breathing exercises.
ducky, thanks for reminding me about coQ10. i do have a half-empty bottle, left over from when I was probably taking too many vitamins, having expensive pee as I think someone here chiSandy maybe mentioned here before. But my body does not like those statins.
So, my pain doc told me over the phone, he was all happy cause he instantly conjectured a diagnosis for me, 'slipping rib syndrome', that, when I went to go see the gyno oncologist there at COH, laughed at. After he walked into the room that I had been waiting in for two hours, to see him.
And, I had finally gotten, after four years (happy anniversary, Lucy, wherever you are, I am now four years out from dX! I kept forgetting till just the other day) a referral to see a plastic surgeon there. And they said they want me to fill out some paperwork that is designed to help me if I am a good candidate for recon on my non cancer boob that needs a lift and reduction to help match the cancer boob. so, this thing is supposed to happen through the patient advocate office, the office that has been responsible for smoothing out all the fuck ups that have been done to me there. So I am a little wary of this, because I think they are going to try and deny me this, because I have been very outspoken when I am upset with them. But you know what? THEY started it. When I first went there, I knew nothing. But I have learned a LOT on the way. Can any of you who have done recon after, give me an idea about what that is about or about what they might need to know from me before starting?

I was wondering why I had stopped taking it, and looked in my files and found this http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3013233/ so I don't know

confusing info on the co10
I know I took it for a time, think I stopped as sort of expensive and do not get any relief

Hi,
I have been a lurker on this thread for sometime and hope you don't mind me posting. I had an x-ray a week or so ago for kidney stones, which led to a ct scan on Tuesday. I was called Tuesday afternoon to say they saw something on my liver and I need an ultrasound. I freaked out and called my oncologists office. They got a copy of the report. My Arnp called me and said they found a hypodense lesion that had increased since a CT scan in Jan 2015. I had a clean Pet scan in July 2015. So she thinks low risk for malignancy. So I was pretty much not worried. I scheduled ultrasound appt for Aug 12 and emailed her office. She emailed back that she sent an order to another facility as ASAP and they would call me to schedule. They called today and the ultrasound is now tomorrow at 8. Now I'm freaked out again since they are rushing it. But I also tell myself if she thought it was something, that means she lied on phone when she thought it was unlikely to be malignant which I can't imagine she would do. By the way, I finished TCHP in Nov and had surgery in December which confirmed a pcr. Have my last Herceptin scheduled on 8/5. Finished Radiation in March and have been on tamoxifen since April. Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

Hi all, just back from short trip to my pcd. She reassured me and also suggested i,see someone to talk too as i was so upset
She gave me a name but when I got home, I called a psychologist who I had seen years ago. So gonna see him on Tuesday, feel, better just knowing I have someone to talk to,that gets me
This entire thing with my back and leg weakness is creeping me but my p school guy is always a help, course he is questioning why they sent me to a nuerosurgeon but calm now

Sher, Our Crazy Town is always open to new members. Our mayor is on a little meet and greet tour until next week, but we all welcome you and hope we can be of help. I'm so sorry you have this worry hanging over you. We will jump in your pocket tomorrow for your ultrasound. We have pocket parties often, hope you don't mind. Please keep us posted.
Pennsy, Good luck getting your lung issues sorted out. It's nice to be able to breathe.
Molly, I believe you are in the theater as I write. Trusting all is going well.
Tomboy, Congratulations on 4 years. Wonderful! Sorry about the messes your doctors seem to place on you. Just go ahead and give them an FU when necessary.
MOmmy, I'm so excited for you to be accepted at SNHU. Mature adults make the best students and appreciate the learning. (Been there, done that). And what a life affirming experience for you!
Thinking of Beppy, Octo, and Katy. I bet they are having a blast!

Just popping in to join the conga line for Wendi!
Sher, in your pocket for tomorrow.
Thinking of Molly, and hoping things are going well for her.

Yes it is, especially to professors who get us older folk in the classes right along with the younger crowd and we older ones do much better and we outdo them. Half of the younger students drop out by mid-term or stay in it and fail because they don't take it seriously and do the work!

Hey on the conga line for Wendi, hooray. and in your pocket tomorrow for your ultrasound Sher0402. This is the best town ever. Our mayor and the 'city council" is fantastic too............I love this place and lurk all the time. Best pockets ever.

Sher: welcome (semi-officially) to the CrazyTown board; never fear, all those fears and panics are precisely why CrazyTown came to be. Some prove to be baseless, some--alas--all too real. But it's a truth universally to be acknowledged that our minds get sucked straight into the maelstrom with news just such as yours. Even when we get good results!

Really, Val? I was so worried that you would think it was awful! I KNOW it is disorganized! I am glad you are a regular member of c-town now.
Molly, I have a few things to wrap up, and lots of doc appointments next week, but after that, I think I am done enough with stuff to actually break out of my stuff for a coffee with you. I have started to feel bad that we are so close, and I haven't made more of an effort to visit with you, and to get to know you better, irl. Hope you are okay today.
Hello to Ducky and Shorfi and QMC and POPPY!! And hey to Rainy, and Chi and cubbies and and and

mommy I did 2 years at Fordham to finish up my degree,
They advertised a new at the time campus in the NY times and it was the best thing I ever did
Course you do need a study plan if working
My rule was to party on Friday night, then hit the books on sat and Sunday. I was working full time and took classes 2 to 4 nights a week
Wow lots younger then!

Congrats on the four years, Tomboy!
I met with my GP's nurse practitioner today, and we talked about how my mother's colon cancer affects my risk. On Monday I'll go to the gynecologist for my annual exam, and get to talk about how my cousins' history of endometrial cancer affects my risk for that. Tuesday it's back to the oncologist for another checkup. Talk about a tour.
