Good going on your project Mommyof 2! I am off for an adventure with DH today. He has a customer call at the coast in Florence. I am just hanging out - probably at a McDonalds while he is Up the hills fixing forest-watch cameras. Anyone around Florence - You know where I am ;) I will take my laptop and color my encouraging pictures. I put them on the magnetic board above my work desk. Here is one of them I did recently.

    Sure Fraidycat.

Made it to the coast. Not sure what I am doing yet. In the firestation parking lot waiting to hear from DH. The last time I was in this lot , the doctor called me to tell me I had BC. Weird emotions coming to the surface .

GmaFoley: I just bet you're getting some rather drastic emotions parked where you are. I wouldn't call them 'weird', though. Rather perfectly understandable! (And thank you for doing the literal "We're all in your pocket." for Beppy. Because we certainly are, figuratively.)

Anybody here actually been diagnosed with OCD? I was, long before I got breast cancer. Ive been going around and around since Friday afternoon. I really need someone to tell me to just stop tonight, because I can't seem to do it for myself. I need somebody to tell me to stop checking, stop obsessing, just stop it.

Cubbie, we love you. Take deep breaths, try to get some rest, walk, stop. I've never been diagnosed, but I get it. I suspect many if not most of us do.

Cubbie ..(Hugs ) ..I've never officially been diagnosed , but I am positive I have it !!! I dwell on the same thought , over and over and over ..I Google the same problem for HOURS .like Octo says , walking helps ...I've had mine long before BC too ..

So what I am obsessing about now is the fact I'm having a hysterectomy on October 17 th ...When I went for my last pap smear the doctor said I have a prolapse ..I didn't even know 😵..So I have decided to have the operation as they can get worse over time ..Now I'm OCD-ing ove "what if they find something in the operation "🙁 Ugh ..tell me to STOP too ... Please ..

Fall colors are at their peak here. Pushing myself to get outdoors helps get my mind off worrying about still more SEs and pains and stuff. It's getting dressed and out the door that's hard. Wishing everyone here peace of mind this weekend.

Thanks, everyone. I have tried a bunch of things to distract myself, but I just can't seem to get into anything. Got a new book from the library, went for a jog/walk, etc. It's always at least at the back of my mind. I get to the point where I have so many worries, I can't remember them all! Which is probably a good thing. After a while I forget some!

Lucy, I would feel the same way. We know too much about things going wrong, is the problem. I keep reading and re-sending some wisdom from some of the ladies on BCO (Kayo's seatbelt speech, and that sort of thing) and trying to move on. What a waste of a weekend.

(((Cubbie))) I have no advice just Hugs for you. Lucy, have you considered just repairing the prolapse and keeping your uterus? I highly recommend posting on Hystersisters if you aren't already. PM if you have questions. I know a lot about prolapse repairs... Too much ugh

Hi ladies.......this is where Grayson has gotten so much of her equipment that has helped her to get to where she is.....she cannot stand on her own, or walk.......she sits in a chair with a body brace that holds her upright.....so many of you have followed Grayson from birth........Shriner's has done so much for her.....she still goes to rehab 3 days a week at Children's Hospital, and is a true warrior, never giving up or giving in to pity.....one day I pray she walks......

duckyb, prayers for Grayson—such a lovely and plucky little girl. We had a neighbor whose son never was able to walk, speak or sit unbraced and untethered, but he was outdoors on every nice day—his mom would decorate his wheelchair for holidays, including for trick-or-treating—and he learned to use a mouth-stylus tablet computer well enough to be not only mainstreamed in our neighborhood public school but advanced one grade past his age-peers. Sadly, he had serious unrelated health problems and passed away suddenly, but he was everyone on our block’s little boy.

Cubbie, I don’t have OCD (no repetitive rituals, but I do have some irrational superstitions—I’m wearing my Alshon Jeffrey Bears jersey in hopes they finally win tonight; and I don’t dare wear my Cubs tee on a game day—and I am definitely a control freak. I come by it genetically, and am a carrier as well: my mom also ended up President of every club she joined, and Gordy is a notorious micromanager and hates delegating responsibility (and when he does, worries endlessly that the delegatee will screw up. As talented an actor & writer as he is, he really prefers to direct).

Chi......thank god the one thing the birth injury (from a horrible doctor at delivery of twins) did not do was affect her mental abilities.......she is smart as a whip and probably even more then her twin sister........can do anything and more that any child her age can do, but that is all mental.......physically not.............she is a sweetheart of a little girl.......does it all from her wheelchair......................and also has other appliances that have been supplied by Shriner's that she used while strapped into them standin

I highly recommend Hystersisters....more wonderful women making the best out of their situation. I am amazed at how large it has grown...was a hostess for many years there....found them in 1999. My situation was a bit different, as I had adenomyosis and bladder prolapse. The support there is phenomenal!

Funny, the memory of that support is what led me to this site....

    Love you all!

Shriner's is wonderful - we have a family friend whose daughter had pioneering surgery there, years ago. She is a young woman now, and just got married a couple years ago. Grayson will go far!

Sandy, I have to work hard at not being a control freak, too. I suppose in my case it's all related.

Hi ladies...sorry I have been MIA. Was suffering so much with the stomach issues and as of this past Friday, we finally got the correct diagnosis. It is chronic cholecystitis...in other words a bad gallbladder. I have been losing tons of weight not be able to eat and not wanting to eat. I have been absolutely miserable.

On Friday I had a HIDA scan in nuclear medicine and that was followed by an ultrasound scan of the full abdomen and gallbladder. Before having the HIDA I asked the physician that was going to read the scan to please come into the room and discuss the results with me. He did (I know him very well because I work in Radiology) and he said my gallbladder was terrible and that is why I was having so many problems for the past few months. I'm also scheduled to have an endoscopy on Wednesday. Previously I had a CT scan of my abdomen and pelvis in June and it showed my gallbladder to be within normal limits. Go figure...how that diagnosis changed from normal to this???? The Nuc Med doc said to get it removed, but of course, I have to wait to hear from my GI doc. She never believed the report from the CT scan.

So all that to say is I have been taking antibiotics for the past 3 months for nothing...thinking the GI doc was treating the mild diverticulosis.

I'm just thankful that it is not cancer...I was so worried. So I shall see what the next step is and will let you ladies know.

Proud...I hope you can get the surgery that you need instead of all those MRIs.

Molly...Are you feeling any better and how is Wyatt doing?

Ducky...I am going to text you soon. Your Grayson is such a beautiful little girl.

Beppy...I am always thinking about you...

No headache for me today. Strange because I only got 3 hours of sleep last night.
