Octogirl, I'm happy to hear your sister is doing better, my prayers continue for her. Have the docs checked for a bug bite of some sort? You can get some pretty weird symptoms from different bug bites. Just an idea.

Octo ..Glad your sister is feeling better ..Has she gone home ? Did she get her last results from the tests ?

Molly ..How did you cope with the wind ? I hope you didn't loose your power ..It's amazing how if we are going to loose power it's always at night !!! It seems so much worse then ..

I had a bad night's sleep ..Laying here in bed at the moment ..Finding it very hard to convince myself to get up !

Fortunately we survived without losing power but a few blocks over was out all night. We have a generator just in case for Wyatt. Iris, may the 4th be with you.

thanks all! Sis may get to go home from hospital tomorrow, and they think they have figured out what is going on and have started to address it. She's a lot better and I am feeling a lot less worried!

May 4th will be thinking of you Iris, and happy birthday in advance too!

Artista, I think summer is finally coming. Seems awfully late this year, at least here in the Valley.

I am hoping this will be an uneventful weekend. Love to all.

Iris, I'll be in your pocket on the 4th!

Molly, I'm glad you didn't lose power. How is Wyatt doing? We had some strong storms last night. We lost power but for only a few minutes. Just long enough to interrupt our movie so we could refresh our drinks and get more snacks.

    Hugs to All 🤗

Greetings, gentle hugs, healing wishes and prayers to all.

Crazy bad storms last night and early this morning. Multiple inches of rain, violent thunder and lightning. Luckily, no power outages. Sister and Daughter flew in last Sun from NYC, so we have been having fun together this week.

Lori, Wyatt's not doing well. He's been sleeping or miserable most of the time. Occasionally he perks up. I feel so bad for him.

Octo: keep us posted on your sister? As you (we all) know, sometimes no news is NOT good news....it's just no news.

Proudtospin so sorry you are going through a tough time. I hope you get the birthday present you are wishing for. You are so kind to so many people, glad you are doing things for yourself. Excellent.

Today I earned the Queen of Crazytown award.

I walked outside with a bucket of soapy water to wash my deck chairs this morning. Happy as can be. Then I hear my neighbor trashtalking my husband and me with the neighbor on my other side! Yeah, this is the one who put her bulkhead stairs on our property and then told us we couldn't use them. I sit down on my porch, my adrenaline is pumping, I feel dizzy I'm so angry. Then she's prancing back home (across my property of course) and I just LAID into her. I called her a gossip and vindictive and a terrible person. God knows what all I said. In 5 minutes I did a lot of damage. I feel like a worm for losing it like that. But WHO walks across your property to bitch about you to your other neighbor? About a property dispute?! 12 hours later and the blood is still pulsing through the vein in my head . . . why do I do this to myself?!

I am starting to see the humor in the neighbor thing. It's like I'm living through the one of those cartoons where the one character is constantly chasing after their nemesis...I want to be more like Bugs Bunny and she could be Elmer Fudd. Went to church, it helped some. The surveyors came in and marked the property line pretty much exactly where I put the chalk mark and then where the fence is. $600 for our share of that. They inherited their money, so no big deal for them, but I'm still working. And I don't want to be. So all I see are the 15 hours or more of sweating over a keyboard writing copy to do something she wanted (as usual), but I knew wasn't necessary. "That's all folks!" (for today!)

I wish I could have been a fly and have watched myself shrieking like a banshee. I'm sure I was quite ridiculous. Thank goodness I didn't pick up a broom and chase her off my property or something! :)

Awww Eggroll. I can definitely sympathize. My neighbors are convinced every bad thing that happens is something we did. I wish they would get security cameras so they could prove...their own damn selves...WRONG! It gets old quickly and I am tired of being vandalized because something's wrong in their lives. Keeping my husband from reacting has been stressful....we just need to get out of here and that is coming up soon.

    Iris- in your pocket.

Molly- hugs..prayers for you and yours.

    Octo- you also.

One of these days, I will remember everyone. Until then...love you all..my crazies!

Eggroll: glad you can see the humor--there is some of that in your situation, I hope. I think. But I would have chased that self-righteous bleepwad off my property with something a bit more dramatic than a broom. Chainsaw, maybe, or at least parrot-jaw loppers. What did the other-side neighbor say?

Definitely winning the Queen of CrazyTown today, though.

eggroll, I had to snicker when you said that at least you didn't go after the neighbor with a broom....because, well, I have sort of done that! Fortunately, not to a neighbor, but to the birds in my neighborhood who come after my cherries when they are ripe! Yes, I am ashamed to say I've been known to chase after them, waiving a broom around, to try and keep them away from my cherry tree! And...every time I do it I feel like a silly old lady even though really I am not that old (in my mind at least :-))

But your neighbor deserved it! Give yourself a break and take deep breaths...I do have one neighbor who can be annoyingly loud when she is in her back yard, but at least she is just talking about inane stuff that has nothing to do with trashing me!

Love to you and to all!

    Octogirl

eggroll, I am sorry about your nasty neighbors but lmao at the picture of you chasing her with a broom. She deserves everything you throw at her but I know what you mean about not wanting to lose your head and dignity.

Happy May day. When I was a child I used to leave flowers on my neighbors doorsteps anonymously. We also did a dance at school and one year did a may pole dance. Beautiful memories. Now I just have protesters near work screwing up my day to look forward to.
