Cubbie ..Yes ..I'm sure you could call back and just ..ask/ plead / cry ..for results ..I can't stand waiting ..It literally makes me sick ..After my breast biopsy last year I rang the doctors ... results weren't in ..His receptionist could obviously tell the state I was in , so she rang pathology ..Who said it wasn't checked but they would do mine next ..and I had my results in an hour !!!
Molly and Cubbie ..I'm sure you are both so gorgeous anyway that you'd never scare anyone !!! Hoping for quick healing for you !!
Octo ..Yay for B9 results !! I'm so looking forward to your visit !
Iris ..How is your new recliner ? I bet it's SO comfy !
Ducky ..You're family are so talented..Not only are they gorgeous looking , but have the brains too ..They obviously take after YOU and you're hubby ..I love the photo of you both in the pool together !
Lori ..Tell hubby to hurry up and sort out his work schedule ..You will be walking with me on that beach soon !! 🙂
Went to our table tennis comp last night ..So I'm stuff and sore today ..aint old age grand 😞
Today is a fun day ..Our garden group meeting is on ..and the club is putting on a lunch after it ..

I have my follow up with my RO tomorrow. I'm sure it'll be a waste of gas and time as my skin looks great! Skin is back under my armand the color has already started to turn back to normal 🤞

My RO actually discharged me with a final look and gave me a certificate of completion. Felt like a kid as I'm not info rah rah go go cheering type stuff, esp with bc.

At my RO's, they give you a decorative garden rock when you complete treatment. I didn't take one, what on Earth was I going to do with it? I didn't want a reminder of cancer right outside the bay window in my garden.

Artista and Cubbie ..Ugh ..A certificate and a rock ..I don't know which one is worse !!

I got a hug, a Hershey miniature, and another bag full of Aquaphor sample tubes.

I am so glad my infusion center didn't do the bell ringing thing. That would have driven me nuts.

Artista - my infusion center did the bell ringing, and I was so weak and sick and worn out it was ridiculous. I look at the pictures and think - oh look - a skeleton is ringing a ship's bell!!

My RO center gave me beads and a certificate and I rang the bell. I didn't mind any of it as I survived the treatments and I'm looking forward to tomorrow. My DH and I have started to plan our "graduation trip" for me. I can't decide! Australia, Greece, Italy, Spain, France???? So many places to see so little tine

Lori ..I have been to France and Italy ..Both are great ..But I selfishly want you to come to Australia. 🙂🙂😘

Lucy, Australia is #1 on my list. We talked about stopping over in Tahiti or Figi or ?? I have to get a good idea on how much mula we need to save as DH said he'll probably have a ton of stuff to mail home lo

Lori .. I think Fiji would make a lovely stop over ..We've been there 5 times ( it's only 4 hour flight from here ) ..The Fijians are great , and make your visit so special ..We went there last December with our daughter's family ..and their 6 and 4 year old fell in love with the Fijians too ..I'm sure Tahiti is lovely too ..But I haven't been there ....

Artista, Cubby, Pennsygal: I'm with you. No chemo.....but I don't need a rock or a bell or a certificate to remind me I've come through treatment. I get that every time I dress in the morning, undress in the evening, change into my workout clothes, change out of my workout clothes, shower, thank [insert deity here] that I am granted the ability to workout.....Not that I'm a grumpy ****** or anything.
But in a more productive vein (and I will share with all Crazies), I'm trying to settle my major at [local community college]. My challenge is attempting to explain to the mainly sympathetic but mainly male advisors that I want to combine business and computers. Not business applications, mind. but the hardware....Meet me out on the CrazyTown inn porch for drinks?

My reward for ending radiation was a shopping bag full of surgical dressings and a prescription for antibiotic cream. Was there supposed to be a bell?
QMC, I'll join you on the C-Town porch. And good luck persuading the boys you can handle the major you want.
Spent two hours on the phone today with new insurance company trying to find an authorized vendor to sell me mastectomy bras. They sent me to two stores. The woman who answered at the 1st barely spoke English, had no idea what I was talking about. At the 2nd store, I was told no one could help me. Why can I not do this online? I ask you.
xoxoxo to all crazies

rainny, do you have a Nordstrom near you? They do mastectomy bras. QMC, I will join you on the porch. I am so depressed. I mean barely functioning depressed. I wonder if it's the exemestane.

My cancer center didn't have a bell to ring after I was done with chemo. I just counted my lucky stars that the treatments worked

(( Molly )) ..joining you and QMC on the porch ...

Molly, I'm sorry to hear about your depression. My PCP adjusted my antidepressants a few weeks ago. Maybe that's why I focus more on living than dying these days?
M0mmy, I also count my lucky stars and cross my fingers that the treatments worked. Too soon to tell for me yet 😳
Gentle healing hugs to everyone on the porch

Rainny - I went to Nordstrom's and it was a great experience. The fitter took a lot of time with me, asking questions, offering suggestions and trying on several bras. Check their website - each store has a dedicated person to guide you through fittings and they will submit to your insuranc. The closest one is two hours from me, but it was well worth the trip. Bonus: you can have lunch in their cafe!!
Molly - I'm sorry to hear about the depression. I felt euphoric after chemo treatments (before the skeleton phase) and was so tired during rads I didn't feel much. It's really in the past six months the depression has hit me. Thinking of you.

love you all...reading but super busy. House goes on market in a couple hours and my neighbors homes have all sold in hours. We are also waiting to hear about our offer on a little ranch. Prayers and positive intentions wanted. Thank you all for holding my hand and soothing my nerves....daily.
Hugs all around

rainny, Rigby & Peller (formerly Intimacy Boutique) also fits mastectomy bras and accepts some insurances. They’re pricy, but they really know their stuff.

Robin ..Great to hear from you ..Hoping for a quick sale for you ( gosh ..Within hours is quick ! ) and you get your new property !! What does a little ranch mean ? Is it the style of house , or size of land ? It's not a term we're used to here .. ..The only ranch I know is The Ponderosa from the Bonanza T.V series ...HaHa ..I even named my teddy bear Little Joe after Michael Landon on the show ..I must of had an eye for a " good sort " even back then ..😘

In Arizona, a ranch is a horse property. It is only an acre, so a little ranch. We do not have horses, but there are horse facilities on the property. For us, it is about the elbow room. The other part of ranch, is a single story home of a particular shape, which this property also has

well i have decided to spend some of my savings, bought my chair, fine. Heading out to car dealers tomorrow. My 10 year old pruis is looking pretty old. Course i hate car guys who ask me what color i want. I want the color on sale.
Should be fun

Good luck with the home sale,Robin! I hope you get your ranch. Lucy, I love the name Little Joe pennysgal, sorry about your depression too. Bleh, I hate feeling like this.

Iris, look for the one at the back of the lot that the salespeople don't steer you towards...that is likely to be cheaper (if not as pretty of a color...)
Lucy, can't wait for Gabe (my Teddy) to meet Little Joe. Gabe goes with me everywhere. I will save the origin of his name for after a glass of wine :-)

(rocking on the porch with a gin-and-tonic made with Botanic gin) Welcome all, I've got the rockers out and this season's cushions installed. The dark safe place under the porch is swept, and we'll pass you snacks until you feel up to company. Treehouse same, with the block and tackle installed to haul up picnic baskets.
RobinLK: good luck with the house!
Proudtospin: ten years old isn't too bad for a Toyota, though I'm not sure how the Prius compares to conventional gas-engine models. But I'm with you on the "I want the color that's on sale."
Molly: in sympathy about the depression! It's something I struggle with as well.
As for my Further Progress in Education, i'll make a case for a double major: Computer Science-Networking and Business, Computer Information Systems. There's a five-class overlap between the 'Networking" Comp.Sci. degree and the soon-to-be revamped "Computer Information Systems" track--that's a third of the requirements for the former, if the college allows me to place out of their general education requirements. (They will. i'll be firm with Mr. Business Advisor and Mr. Comp.Sci. Advisor.) I've already taken two in the Comp.Sci. sequence of my own free will. So so that's pretty much halfway there.
Not that I'm excited about this or anything.
