Hugs, Molly. No explanation needed. Thoughts and prayers with you and your boy.

Iris, a vacation sounds terrific! I love Cape May!

Ducky, your family is entirely an inspiration. What great kids and grandkids you have. Williams is about 3 1/2 hours from us. Well, longer if it's late at night and we're on back roads trying to follow Siri's demented instructions (oh, never mind!).

Crazies, I keep an herb garden on our fire escape. This year, we have a couple of mourning doves making daily visits, and I think they're trying to decide whether to nest in the chives! The photo is through a window screen, so it's not top quality, but you can see one of them here!

Rainy...3 1/2 hours is doable....my grandson that graduated a few years ago from Carnagie Mellon in Pittsburgh was 5/6 hours away depending on traffic and the weather..we drove every weekend through football season to see him play...he was the quarterback...we did 5/6 hour sup, go tot the game, and dinner, take him back to the dorm/house (whichever it was that year), and then drove back home to Philly...brutal, but loved it.......now that same grandson lives in Chicago and I rarely see him....and his brother lived in Chicago for several years, and now just moved to Dallas...not happy about that move......been there 2 weeks and already witnessed Tornado's, an EMT worker getting shot, and some lunitic in college slashes people with a machete......WTH was he thinking.....oh well.....guess I want them all home and around my feet.....LOL.

Molly do not leave...I agree about the lunitics out there in the streets causing havoc...and as long as their is TV news it can't be avoided....we need you....your a breath of fresh air.....hugs Sweetie......from someone old enough to be your Mama.....Beppy would not want you to leave either..she loved you...

Well, I'm in a waiting room of sorts. An hour before my follow up with my ps to check on the infection status I feel a little fluid under said foob. It's not sweat. So go in earlier and says there's a tiny hole the size of a pin hole that fluid is coming from. Cont the abx, keep area clean, neosporin it, and keep gauze on it. Follow up Thurs 9:15 to assess. Told me if hole not closed then implant has to come out. :(((((((((((((((((((((( Didn't look optimistic. Already told me no drink/food after midnight Wed.

Here I have Mooshy my guinea pig who is an abx twice daily until next Fri when she has her follow up. Thankfully the vet has room to board her. So no time to scramble on Thurs if this happens so packing up her stuff and taking her tomorrow am. If sx then she stays. If not, I'll bring her home.

Glad I have time to get things in order and it's not a march order like last time. Going to ask if left is coming out if insurance would cover taking right out as well. It's not in comfy for me anyway, we've been talking about a symmetry sx. Plus I don't want to have 1 foob for 6 mo. Would rather be flat. This sucks ass. Bro teaches so can't come up from LA. My friend Anna should be able to help. Last time in Dec when I got perm implants in I couldn't do the stairs (they kicked me out same day) and I went to her house in a large comfy chair for 3 days until I got my mojo back enough. I hope I'll have that otherwise I'll just sit at the bottom of my stairs and cry. :(

So many of us simply teetering and yet good news abounds.

Sandy, I am on the statin train, but admit I haven't taken it in a few weeks. Follow ups suck especially when we already know what they are going to say. Like we haven't been beating ourselves up in advance.

My day is May 9th and we will all be busy jumping in and out of pockets it appears.

    Somedays just feel like:

Well, now I’m sporting four band-aids on my R forearm (the one at risk of LE flaring back up). Happy, my not-so-little orange patch tabby cat, climbed on to my chest, purring and nuzzling, for some cuddling, kissing & petting. I obliged him gently, but suddenly he stood up, walked to the right armrest, turned around, still purring, and without warning bit me. Two little puncture marks from his upper incisors; and two longer red marks, that look like scratches but the skin unbroken, from the corresponding lowers. I immediately yelled “BAD kitty!” (yeah, like he’d understand) and dashed to the bathroom, where I washed the arm with hot water & soap and dressed the wounds (including applying antibiotic ointment). Of course, he has no idea he did anything to hurt me, nor I him: he came over to the sofa where I was later napping, draped himself across my ankles, and fell asleep, purring.

I knew Heidi has a tendency to get over-excited, but this is the first time Happy has done anything worse than lovingly knead my belly (through a nightgown) with un-trimmed claws. Never witnessed redirected aggression from him before.

So now I need to be on the lookout for cellulitis (years ago, Mishmosh, a previous kitten of ours—now "at the Bridge"--playfully nipped me and my wrist swelled up within a couple of minutes—had to go to Urgent Care and then take antibiotics for ten days; at least adult cat teeth aren’t sharp little needles like kitten incisors).

Sand, OUCH! Bad kitty is right! I hope your LE doesn't flare up. We all have enough to deal with without adding kitty bites to it. Sounds like he made it up to you by keeping your feet warm

I grew up a dog person, though the only pets we were allowed were turtles and goldfish (which all met swift and unfortunate ends). My parents had dogs when they were growing up (my mom's ancient Schnauzer hated my dad when they were dating, and my dad's Chow Chow used to trot to the A&P and steal boxes of crackers). But I am not a morning person; and the thought of going out in the snow, storms, freezing cold to exercise a pooch and let it do its business (not to mention training it in the first place) is not my idea of a good time.

Never thought we'd ever get a cat…until our first Chicago apartment became infested with field mice from the construction going on next door to our building. When I asked the property manager for an exterminator, she replied “Get a kitty-cat," scratching out the “no pets" clause in the lease and writing “One pet cat okay." Turns out the landlord was a cat person, though the super was allergic (so we had to take the litter out to the alley dumpsters ourselves rather than put it out on the back porch with our other garbage for the super to take).

Have had very few such feline temper displays. But the first animal that ever bit me (simply because I walked past it) was my cousin's miniature poodle. Five years later, while doing polling for a Poli. Sci. class, I got bitten on the wrist in a respondent's apartment…by a miniature poodle. Bob says when he retires he wants to get a big sloppy lovable shelter-mutt (without any terrier blood or prey drive, as he still wants cats). He'll have to train & walk it, though. And my housekeeper, who is a cat-whisperer, would probably give her notice.

Just a shoutout to Molly50: stress is something we can all understand (right, ladies?) I do so hope things equalize for you, emotionally, soon, but will understand if I don't see you on the boards too much in the next few days and weeks. Hug Wyatt for me, please?

Octogirl, what a beautiful picture! We went on a road trip many years ago and drove through the area. We took in as many state parks as we could along the way. God's Country!

Molly, praying your able to take a breath now and then. Prayers and much love for Wyatt and all of his caregivers 💜🙏

You are all so sweet! I am fine. Just going through periods of anger and depression. Sandy, no worries. It seems like everything is collapsible into each other with Wyatt. It's so frustrating to see one problem after another.

Where is Tomboy? Hello to the quiet crazies!!

Anyone waiting for bone scan results or been through it? I had one yesterday and something suspicious showed up. That's all I know. I'm losing it completely. Can't eat, can't sleep, can't work I just cry. I'm waiting for my oncologists nurse to call me back and prescribe something so I'll be able to sleep tonight. How I'll manage to get through the coming days and the coming weekend I don't know. I feel so sorry for my boys, aged 9 and 12. This will ruin their lives

Solor Sister, I had a bone scan before starting any of my treatments but I wasn't told they had found something suspicious so my waiting wasn't as nerve wracking as yours is. Why would they do that to you? Did the techs tell you or did your MO/RO? They told me when I had my scan done that they couldn't tell me anything. All reports must come from the dr requesting the scan. Sending prayers and gentle hugs! Take deep breaths, I know, easier said than done.

SolarSister, I agree with Lori. Why on earth would they say anything, + or -, without being able to give details?? That'd piss me off. I'd have said something like that's all you're giving me? Wish you wouldn't have said a thing until facts are known.

I had a bone scan pre-chemo. Techs didn't say a thing when I asked how it looked. It was MO that looked at results and said there was something on my pelvis (forgot what it was) but there's no metabolic activity so no worries. That's the key, no metabolic activity.

Do you have access to your chart online? I read my test results on my chart online before I see the docs as it's usually a couple or more days until I see them.

Solo.......hugs, and get those people on the phone...demand to know whatis going on...I say this all the time......if they can give you a friggin pill for your anxiety, they damn well can give you your results to either ease your mind if its nothing......or face reality and get a plan together right now.........they are your records, your scan and you have a right to the result......Demand them......if they think they saw something it means the results are there...........hugs, and prayers....

Artista and WenchLori you're absolutely right, it was a real unfortunate mistake on the tech guy's behalf. This is how it went down: while scanning he asked me if I'd had a trauma on my right knee, because it lit up on the scan. I indeed fell really badly on my knee and got a bad bleeding wound from a small stone a couple weeks ago. Apparently it went all the way down to the bone. Ok he said, I'll write that in the report so doc knows. A little while later during the scan he came back an asked, did you fall on your ribs on the right side when you fell? The answer to that is a frightening NO. After this I'm in shock.

I've had two bone scans before that where both completely clean.
