Molly: another sensible theory--I hadn't realized that about the limited number of IP addresses for a given guest network, though it's very much a DUH realization. Blood pressure cuff on your afm? whoof. For me, still pissed off that the ER had an unsedated and responsive patient babbling something about "not the left arm", and didn't stop to ask why. At least in my case, I had no nodes taken, so I'm in the lowest risk category of BC patients. You're another matter.

ChiSandy: bruised by your MedicAlert bracelet? Pure CrazyTown. Divots aren't the worst thing to happen to a girl, but then that might have produced worse bruising....but the idea of a garishly hot HOT pink LE alert something or other isn't a bad idea,

As for me, I've been sprung, thank G-d, and am home with my BoyCat, very much the mamma's boy, circling and vocalizing. Still annoyed that the ER staff didn't stop to a) check my charts (all my BC treatment was at this hospital/local network, so you know it's in the ER's computer.....right?) or b) ya'know, ask me

QMC - glad you are home but sheesh - it never seems to end, does it?

Sandy, I too, bruise very easily - when I saw my ob/gyn last week he asked me about two bruises pointedly, but never got to the "do you feel safe at home" question

I'm at home fasting today for an endoscopy later this afternoon. I've been on omeprazole for several years, but I've been having 24/7 heartburn lately. I also had a brief foray into Crazy Town over the weekend. I got the report from my CT (at 7:30 Friday night) and saw "chronic fractures of ribs 4, 5 and 6" and promptly started freaking out. These were never mentioned and of course I thought: bone mets. Spoke to the RO early this morning and he said they are the result of radiation, are healing and do not look like metastatic lesions. Confirmed with MSK radiologist.

Iris - enjoy your week off - sounds like a beachfront lunch for you!

Pennsygal: of course you thought bone mets! Their reason for not mentioning it may have been valid--not metastatic lesions--but that's now our minds work....sigh.

QMC thank you! My husband said: you cannot go to the worst case scenario. What he doesn't understand is that the worst case scenario is now a low hum for all BC survivors.

Well scan is done and I have results already thanks to the oncologist. Got both good and bad news. Lymph nodes looked good but they found a slight issue with a clot. So I have to go on a blood thinner and wait for the cardiologist to call me to set up an appointment for an Echocardiogram. Think the location of the clot is the reason they have been having a problem with getting the blood work from the port the last two times Ihad treatment. Not happy about the blood thinner but nothing I can do but accept it.

Penny ..in your pocket for your endoscopy.. Sorry you had a scare over the CT scan ..and I hate the way our minds always go to the "dark side " now....but they do ..that's why we need each other here ..we all understand completely.

Mommy ..glad the nodes are good ..sorry there's a downside with the clot .It was great you got your results so quickly .

Iris ..my favourite way to spend the day is with friends having lunch !!! Enjoy 😃

    Edited for spelling mistakes ..

Hi all...checking in after escaping to LA for the weekend to spend time with my adorable grandkids!

QMC, Sooo glad you are out of the hospital.Scary!

And Pennsy: also glad that the rib issue is apparently nothing, but how aggravating....in your pocket for the endoscopy.

Mommy, yay for clear lymph nodes, sorry about the clot issues. It never ends, but glad they found it!

    Iris, enjoy your rest/mini-vacay.

Lucy, miss you too! All seems to be on track for the surgery beginning of November. Thanks for asking. Just want it to be done already ......

    Sending hugs to all....

Ducky, glad you're well. Hope your granddaughter is okay, how scary! CHOP is the best. I'm sure you're loving the time with the little ones.

I've been busy looking for new work projects--gotta keep the cash flow going.

Good luck to all who are being scanned or recovering from the stress of them. It is impossible not to go *there* when they happen, even when the results are perfectly fine.

    Iris, enjoy the vacation!

Octo, hope the next month flies by....

Lucy, is your GS continuing to improve?

Ducky ..yay . you're back !! Sounds like you've been very busy .. enjoying The Shore and helping with the grand-babies ! Sorry about your grand-daughter having a health scare ..do they have to remove the cyst ?

Rainy ..Hope you find the extra work soon ..Is your son enjoying college ?..yes ..I think my grandson is still improving ..especially verbally ..he speaks all the time now but is way over emotional and having melt -downs over everything !!!

Iris ..glad to hear the cream is helping your foot ..

Octo ..so happy to hear that all is going ahead for your op ..Soon you'll be as mobile on land as you are in the water 😃

So moving house day is getting closer ..We have been moving all the pot plants in the ute and trailer ..3 full loads so far , and there'll be another trip with more on Sunday ..Now we must start to box the house up ..hiring trucks for October 23rd to remove the rest of our stuff ...Daughter wants us to stay with them while we build , but I'm going to find a unit to rent and store our things at their house . I'm finding all this stressful ..even though I want to do it. .How weird !

Ducky, when I was 13, I had sharp lower-ab pain and my GP suspected either an ovarian cyst or hot appendix, so he had me admitted to the hospital and called in a surgeon (who was at a formal occasion because he was wearing a tux when he came into the ER to examine me). It turned out to be both!

yay for moving, Lucy!!! and yes, I think it is always stressful, even when you want to do it. but umm....having been to your (old) house, maybe you meant potted plants? At least in American English, pot plants are something very different! :-) Just teasing, and good news about DGS!

spent the day by the coast with my stepmom and sister. It was incredibly beautiful. perfect weather. Here is one pic to illustrate....back home now, thinking how nice it is to be retired and to be able to take off for day trips when I feel like it and when weather is nice. But having new knees will definitely help as I am wiped out now!

Great to see you Ducky. Hugs to all.

oh wow you know i just love the coast. Interesting to me the difference between east and west coast but love both so waiting on my peapod guy to deliver. I do like this grocery delivery, specially for the big heavy stuff.

Then off to mani pedi. My nails are pealing and i,am sure it is chemo related as i used to have strong nails, oh well just one more thing to deal with

Hope all are hanging in for this end of summer start of autumn

Hi all...for now lovely here at the shore....just relaxing....doing crossword puzzles, online and the paper......no beach...work day for my daughter...so just sitting here enjoying the change of scenery....

Makayla has an appt with a GYN at CHOP on Monday....The adolescemt med dr told my daughter to go to a fyn instrad of her.....good advice...so its monday....the damn cyst is 4x4x6....a. it large...but they referred to it as a simple cyst...not blood filled, nor has ruptured.....now to see what the gyn says......that info came from the radiologist.....

hope your all well.....think of you all the time....talk about you quite often. for one reason or another......hugs and love.

He said to tell you he thought the Wallabies would of been very happy to see all these loads of "pot plants " arriving :-) I'd love to go sit on the seat in your photo , and just soak up the view !

Ducky ..I'm glad your grand-daughter can get in to see the doctor so quickly ..

Iris ..yes ..lovely to have your groceries just arrive ..my daughter's both do it ..saves them trying to cope with small children who want to fill the trolly with lollies and cookies !!! Really I should do my shopping online too so I can avoid the icecream !!

Hi everyone!! Big hugs to all, especially the quiet ones and an extra big hug for M0mmy. We are okay. I am crazy busy at work and been cooking/cleaning/getting rid of junk and BAKING my fool head off. I think I am working through the stress and grief from my mom's passing. So I am getting a bit plump from eating what I bake OOOOOOOOOOPS! Wyatt's okay. Not great. Definitely a slight improvement on the seizure front since surgery but he's been battling this nasty fungal infection in the groin area and now his gtube site skin is red, peeling and just angry looking. Aaargh! I am fighting depression, stress and some moments of panic. I love the PA at the ENT office. He really truly listens and responds and does what he says he will do. He is sending me for an ENG as another diagnostic tool and for Vestibular PT. My MO could give a damn about me. I am in the process of trying to switch to someone that will listen and soothe my fears. Isn't that what we all want? Someone who HEARS us? The vertigo/dizzy spells are a bit better but I think it is because I am compensating. When walking in the darkness I am really off and I still walk into walls. No migraines for two weeks so at least my panic about brain mets has eased up. Sorry for the long post/sob story and thanks for listening. DUCKY!! I miss you. I will be praying for your DGD. Lucy, I am so happy your DGS is verbal again! I think it will take a while for his brain to settle and not be emotional. Iris, enjoy your chemo vacation. Octo, glad you are enjoying retirement. QMC, glad you are home. What an experience! Pennsy, hugs! Hi everyone who I missed. Love to the crazies who are quiet. Anyone who wants to find me, I will be up in the treehouse trying to both hide from the world and see the beauty in it at the same time.

morning all, boy i went through vertigo issues in past. The ventricular rehab was helpful and hope it helps you as well. Course it was a symptom of other issues so i was told, do keep an eye out for reoccurance. Slept like a rock last night. Think i was over doing the water thing and was up too many times at night.e

I have a lunch planned today as well with a gym pal, already decided on fish and chips as it is a seafood joint

    Everone have a great day
