I have spent the last 3 1/2 days in bed and running to the bathroom. Got in with my PCP yesterday. Could complication from surgery. Exchange went well. I felt great the next day. But the next one... ugh. I’m losing weight. I’m dehydrated (no kidding!) and I am waiting to find out if this is c diff or something else. But whatever it is, I’m so over it!

yeah, my younger days were spent in lower east side of manhattan, hung out at a more than slightly liberal church which was struggling to hold on to the building and to maintaining a congregation. Great time in the city, early 70s lots of protest demos

Used a dif cream on my poor peeling feet last night. Dang but they look better this moring, a pal at the gym recommended aquaphor, sort of sticky but it certainly worked so guess it is the cream of choice for now

Just getting caught up! Ducky, gorgeous bride! I love the idea of your mom's mink stole on the bride. How touching! Genevieve is adorable and that outfit! I think she has better clothes than me, lol! Kieran is a cutie pie! Love, love the pics. Speaking of expensive private uni's. USC here in Los Angeles is in a terrible area! Students have been killed around there. It is gentrifying so we will see what happens in the coming years.

Tarenee, I hope you feel better! Iris, aquaphor is the bomb! I tell everyone getting radiation to use it at night. I used it at bedtime and just threw away the old t-shirts after. I still use it if I get a burn. Funny I also still have some of my other radiation cream. They work well on cooking burns, lol. I use baby version of aquaphor though. I like it better.

molly, did not know the aquafor had a baby version. I think i need to find white gloves so i can comfortably use it on my hands at night. Got plenty of whie socks. Tried a pair of those on my hands last night but tore them off in middle of night.

Today i went to gym, did 30 min on the bike, proud to be able to up my time each visit. Course pre met time i did 60 min spin classes, think that is my goal to be back doing.

I have to say, folks say i look good, guess they thought i would never be back? Not sure but it is interesting to talk to folks i have not seen in months, some long time friends are somewhat negative about little things?

Sitting and bawling my eyes out. Was listening to music as I was doing stuff around the house and a song came on that reminded me of a dear friend and classmate who passed away yesterday and the tears started coming. Been crying every time I think of her.

Oh mommy, sorry you lost your friend yesterday, i doubt she would want you to cry but rather remember the many joyful times you spent together, bet you had your share of laughs? Remember them

Started howling with laughter when I remembered a joke of a flying saucer drawn on a piece of paper and stuck to a piece of scotch tape that I shared with her that had been sent to me. Told her it was something that she would have done and she laughed and agreed

proudtospin - I have cotton gloves to wear on hands at night - Came from a Crabtree & Evelyn store - Believe you can also find at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Not sure what stores you have in your area. PM me if you want help rounding up a pair - can probably also find on Amazon.

Celia, thanks for offering but Walgreens is closest and per their web site, they carry them. There is also a store called Harmons that always seems to carry stuff no one else has. But last night i slept with white socks on my hands, goodness but my hands were better this morning. Course then i took a shower and the peeling skin showed up again! But hands feel better and I think I have the solution now

Iris, if you put sequins on the gloves, you need to do your socks as well. Winking

It's a soup day here too in Central California...I keep thinking the rain is over for the year, but came back today for at least one more round....going to also see what I have that I can throw in the pot. Wine would help, alas I am also out....
