Iris, CBD helps with nausea, and you can buy it legally anywhere. (If yours is a medical marijuana state, get a card--THC helps even more).

Molly I'm so sorry for your loss. There are no words. I finished my first round of treatment in July of 2012 and lost my oldest son to sudden cardiac arrest 4 weeks later. Even though we know they are in God's arms the crushing emptiness can be overwhelming. Bless you and may the peace of our Lord be a healing balm to you and your family. Jo

Sula...so good to hear from you...I don’t post much either anymore, but I do check in.....wish I could say its cause I”m so busy, but that would be a lie....not sure why I don’t....maybe I feel like whatever I say/do is not that exciting...but sure glad to hear from you.

    Lucy...the pooch is a sweetheart....

By the way my daughter just put Stella on CBD...it is a form of Cannais, but without the THC...so she won’t get high or addicted...it should help with her seizures.....and her aches and pains....it has been used in pets for a while now but the neurologist just approved it....we shall see.

Thinking abou ttrying ti myself...specially if its good for pain...seriously I am going to check with my. PCP, alhtough she will probably say no...but when was I ever know for listening.....it comes in oil form, medicinal, and it is not cheap......something to think about......hugs ladies...hope all in NC and the Florence area are safe and dry....

ducky, my primary's P.A. suggested CBD ointment for my post-ortho-surgery pain--she apologized that her hospital system won't let their docs certify patients for medical marijuana cards. My M.O. will certify only for Stage IV patients or for patients losing weight becaue of chemo-nausea. I found a private doc in Evanston who does sign certifications--she signed mine (my card should arrive by Dec.). She's also gung-ho on (mostly) plant-based keto alkaline diets as the cure-all for everything (which sounds more than a little woo-woo to me). But my refusal to change my diet was not a dealbreaker for her. She also suggested CBD oil & topical balms--not the edibles, which she feels have too much sugar. She also explained that once I get my card, the CBD oils & tinctures at the dispensaries are stronger than what she or the health food or vape shops can legally sell me. (If you're curious, I use Receptra: Prime oil for sleep, Plus oil for stronger pain relief, and Targeted Topical (which is an ointment with aloe, ylang-ylang, jasmine, and arnica besides a small amt. of CBD). It's available online if you can't find it in stores.

Until now, I have thrown my back out once spontaneously every year or two--last time was Dec. 2016. (I've had worn lumbar & cervical facet joints in my spine since my early 30s, and spurring since just before menopause). X-rays confirmed no mets or compression fractures. Then one morning this mid-July it happened again, about two weeks after my arm/wrist surgery (and about the time I had to start root canals). But it happened again last Sat. (Sep.8); it was getting much better until this weekend, when my back suddenly got stiff & sore again. It's not getting better. Been taking CBD at bedtime but will probably have to do it mornings as well. And I'm using the topical balm on my back, R elbow (hairline fracture from a fall in June), and for scar massage for my L wrist & arm.

I see my M.O. again this Thurs. for my labs, exam & Prolia shot. I know there's an old blues song, "Don't go looking for trouble, trouble will find you." But I'm gonna message her before my appt. and ask if she ought to start testing for tumor markers or do a PET scan. Even though I'm afraid to hear "yes." (Bob thinks one of those spurs herniated a disc and I should just go to "back school" and keep using the CBD).

hmmm, back school sounds interesting.i spent good year trying to figure back stuff. But really do not have issues there for now at least. Think i.will have talk with docs about options if this nausea continues. .last night i ate dinner of simple chicken and some couscous and tummy settled down. Not happy this morn but took pill that settles it. I made an appt at dentist for cleaning and checkup. That may not have been wise but gonna try to see how system is later today, figure only letting him do cleaning and xrays.

Ducky, fun to see you again. Sula, love to see your food shots again

Took CBD oil last night and fed the cats, slathered on the Bio-Freeze & CBD topical balm, and did my teeth before taking my night pills so that there'd be some time between the CBD oil and my "Bonesmart cocktail" (Tylenol & Advil). Woke up in the middle of the night to use the loo (had fallen asleep on my back so that my kitty Heidi could chest-knead me and herself to sleep). Something told me to go downstairs and check the shot glass into which I'd put my night pills (including the painkillers)....yup, it was still full. No wonder I hurt. Much less stiff today. Suspect my MO won't order a PET scan or tumor markers on Thurs,...but will turf me to the Ortho clinic for X-rays and a referral to "back school" (most of it likely out-of-pocket, since my wrist has used up 8 of my Medicare-covered PT/OT visits...and I will need at least 4 more OT sessions of hand therapy).

Molly, you and Wyatt's spirit are in my prayers nightly and have been for quite some time.
