hey all, so nice to chat with all of you again.

Currently on weekly infusion of gemzar, in my off week and due for pet scan next week to see if working and if need to change treatment. It has not been bad untill this past week so wondering if i caught a bug or something.

Course todays excitement is the squirrels are back in my attic! Trapped about 6 so far and still not able to figure where they are getting in!

Lucy - What a handsome young man your grandson is.

Ducky - You are so blessed with all those family members. What a wonderful expression on your youngest grandaughter, such beautiful eyes - her spirit seems to be shining through.

Been stuck in CrazyTown the last two weeks. Had my routine scan two weeks ago and everything is still good. Peeved that I had to get the news from the hospital portal instead of the MO's office (never called me even up to today). Then last week we woke up to a big issue with our heat. The house was warm but the furnace kept coming on every half hour. We were told that what we had was a furnace, not so according to the repair guy. Because our house is old and we have cast iron radiators, we have a boiler. The pump that brings the heated water to our radiators crapped out. Got that fixed and hoping nothing else goes wrong

oh mommy, bad time of year for heat problem, hope you can get it resolved shortly.

Back from checkup with cardiologist, i was a little freaked as after my last chemo i fusion, my bp dropped way down and the i fusion nurse mentioned that my white blood count was sort of border line lo.

But for reasons unknown, my bp is always lo in his office but high when i am in the oncs office, go figure.

I am stuck in crazytown waiting for pet scan next wed to see how current tretment in going

Got the boiler fixed the same day it crapped out. So far the new boiler pump is running great and the boiler is fine.

Iris, your problem with the squirrels reminds me of that ad where the mother is on the phone with her son. She is chatting a blue streak about the squirrels in the attic, and the son is coping with some James Bond-type events. She starts picking up on background sounds and asks him if he is at a Zumba class. My son and I had a laugh about that-- I needed more help with hearing on the phone, and chatting a blue streak because I was having problems understanding what he was saying.

Iris, so glad to see you posting, and in your pocket for scan results! and M0mmy, glad yours was clear...how aggravating to have to wait!

    Love the Grandkid pics, Lucy.

I've had a rough week: my father died Monday night...he was 95 and not in good health, but it is still hard even when it is/was time. I did get to see him Monday morning and he gave me what I now realize was a goodbye kiss....

    Hugs to all

Oh, octogirl - deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. I was a real daddy's girl. My father was very ill, hung on for my wedding, but passed 8 days later. It is never easy to lose a beloved parent, no matter how grownup we are.

sorry octo, so hard to loose a parent but nice you had a final kiss

So since i am in crazy town about my pet scan zet for wed, i decided to reread the last one from sept. On that one, all my numbers had improved. Guess i sort of forgot about that so hoping this time the numbers keep improving. I can handle this infusion crud knowing it is working

Hmmm, got chicken defrosting so off to do some prep

Mammo & BS visit yesterday - all good! Dentist today & also all good. Still need vision exam - trying to sort out whether to go with a plan from VSP.

Proud - here's hoping for good news on your pet scan.
