Iris, in your pocket for scan results...I say it is the crazy worry that makes one tired, not the actually being on the thingie (I don't know what it is called either).

Thanks for kind thoughts about my father...it is hard, but I am working hard and allowing that to distract me!

mommy, sorry for your loss, not fair at times

Well got scan results back, sort of mixed as a couple of new spots while other spots continue to shrink. Doc is keeping me on this chemo for the time, got something going on in my lymph nodes of my left neck, she asked if i had any pain there but while i had had some achieness there, i figured it was just tbat i sat wrong and it went away when i massaged it a little

Oh well, onward, still in crazy town!

lucy, yeah for you! Colonoscopy is the worst!

My excitement for the day was final testing for upcoming cataract surgery, came home with bag of info, script for drops and such. My eyesight has always been awful but last couple years it kept getting worse, finally found out it was cataracts. So guess i should read all the stuff. They do one eye at a time and first is for 2 25, second eye 2 weeks later.

But the real excitement is only one doc visit, chemo, next week! Almost a vacation!

Lucy - Echoing the yeah for good colonoscopy results.

Proud - I had cataract surgery on both eyes, 6 mos before BC diagnosis. Keep up with those post surgery drops! Also, ask about using lubricating eye drops as well. They did my left eye first as the cataract was more severe. Could not believe just how bad it was until I could see clearly. Colors more vivid, but also remember looking in the mirror & seeing lines/wrinkles that were blurry before, as well as dusty places around the house that I thought were ok. I had good results. No longer need distance correction for driving. Still need to use readers, but since I used those before cataracts, no biggie.

Yay for a clean colonoscopy, Lucy!

Iris, bummer about the new spots but glad the others are shrinking. You are so right about enjoying life! I had both cataracts done a year after my lumpectomy. Recovery was easy-peasy (went out for breakfast the same morning), and my vision is much better. Found myself pushing my glasses back up my nose while rehearsing tonight, and realized I CAN see the fretboard w/o glasses. (Can't read the lyric sheets, but I can usually get through a set or two sans lyric brain farts). Gonna stick with stuff I can do in my sleep--this is too big a gig to experiment with songs so new I'd have to look at the lyric sheets. People who don't write songs can't quite wrap their heads around forgetting one's own lyrics, but trust me, it happens to almost every baby-boomer in the local folk community--especially when we play out less & less often. I have to figure out how to make lyrics scroll in large type on my iPad and get a dependable iPad holder for my mic stand. (I think it may also require a foot switch to control the speed).

yeah, one of my pals was shocked after her cataract surgery, she did not realize how bad her vision had become. The place i am having it done provides transportation back and forth, guess it is cheaper than having insurancd issues with accidents. Definitely looking forward to it.

Had chemo this am, dang almost got lost leaving the place, only one floor is open on sat and well, got mixed up till a very nice maintenance guy saw my confusion and got me to my car! Oh dear, crazy town for sure!

We are going to a friend's party on Saturday ..she has chosen a Great Gatsby theme..so I'm running around trying to get our costumes organised ..it'll probably be lots of fun..but I'm SOO lazy ! 🙄

Lucy...great news about clear colonoscopy! I have never been so fortunate.....my doc moved my next up to 3 years apart, which would be This August.....tried making my appointment today... (for August)...they will call me tomorrow.

I had my cataract surgery in 2012....between my left eye and my right eye , which was only a week apart, I had my yearly mammogram (366 days since my last mammo, per my insurance rules ) and found out I had breast cancer.....didn't t need drops for my eyes, since my tears flowed easily .......Di

Lucy, And to see the sun shining so brightly, not in the haze of the s-word.

One year we had a haze in the sky, and a smell in the air, and the conflagration was 1500 miles away.

oh dear lucy, thrush? Are you doing any mouthwash ? I had tons of anti for uti but never happened although at times they would kill the uti but then i would end up with sinus infection.

Yeap, Tuesday is cataract #1, did my drops for today except for the before bed one. I was just chating with neighbor when i went out to get stinky trash out here, he had the same surgeon for his years ago and said he had bad bedside manner. Yeah he does but my pals surgery went fine. My pcd once said surgeons never learn bedside manner!

Well done with chores, off till later guys

proud - My cataract surgeon also had less than stellar bedside manners. Office visits pre & post op also always ran 45 mins to 1 hr behind. However, results were good - no longer need distance correction, just cheapy readers. DH helped me with all the drops. In your pocket for cataract #1.
