feelingfeline - Just popping in with something of interest. On Trip Advisor, in the Category Top 10 Day Trips - World, #2 was a trip to Wicklow - Is this your Wicklow?

Obviously I am not FF but I must say that County Wicklow is scenic and Wicklow Town is charming.  I was able to visit Ireland 18 years ago.  But I didn't kiss the Blarney Stone.  IMHO, yuck. But Ireland is massively charming, truly forty shades of green from the air.  Glendalough monastic settlement is picture postcard perfect.

Time for me to be silent and let FF answer the question.

Oh Gumdoctor and Santabarbarian what gorgeous pictures of gorgeous cats! Heart

Celia - yes well spotted. That is "my" Wicklow. (To the best of my knowledge there is only one.) I am actually from Dublin. Have lived in Wicklow the last 22 years which is no time at all. Before that I was in Kerry which to my mind would put Wicklow to shame. I love the West of Ireland best.

In Wicklow the monastic settlement and 2 lake valley of Glendalough is wonderful. It is about 45 mins away by car but we would not go there often as the car parks are always full and you can be left queuing for hours due to tourism. This is how it is really since the internet/social media spread the fame of our beauty spots to a much wider audience. Twenty years ago 30 or 40 people at the Cliffs of Moher or in the car park at Glendalough was a crowd! I expect it is the same in most countries.

Bored Panda has a story on a cat named Cotton who was rescued by a woman in S. Florida. His before photo looks just awful. And the ones early in his recovery are almost as bad. The final photo is a gorgeous cat with 1 blue eye and one hazel. It's a tribute to dedication and love of his rescuer.

Max looks like he would be a lap full and more. We had a kitty large enough that only half fit on my lap. He would come when I was on the sofa and put the head half in my lap.

    Wren,

Max is a lapfull. He is a non-purebred Ragdoll. They can get quite huge. But he does fit. One of my smaller kitties, Baby Ellie (very petite female Maine coon mix) insists on sharing my lap with Max and somehow finds a way to carefully curl up around him.

Hysterically funny, actually therapeutic, to experience this with them...

FF, I’m so sorry about Arthur. It’s really hard when they are young.

Here’s Tinker (orange) and Parker. They missed me when I was gone for 3 weeks. Tinker can’t get enough petting! And Parker follows me all around the house. She doesn’t want me petting her, just needs to see me, I guess.
