Well, we rescued a little Shih Tzu over the weekend. She is 7 years old and was found roaming on a golf course. She's very laid back and quiet and we have only heard her bark once since Saturday. She and Snickers are both afraid of each other so one or the other is always running away. Snickers is doing better than I thought she would. She is not hiding in her carrier and has come onto the lanai and sniffed at the dog's crate, etc. So I think this might

My cats are disgusted with my husband and me. We are both working from home b/c of COVID-19 and they couldn't be less thrilled. I think we're interrupting precious sleep time. Ungrateful wretches!

edj, my cats are being their normal sassy selves. Even though their daddy has to work from home.

Snickersmom, that’s great news. It does sound like with a little time they may work out a relationship. At least they’re tolerating each other! Fingers crossed!

As long as the dog shows respect, they should end up getting along in the end. It does sound promising at this point.

One of my DDs is in a test pilot program at her work testing teleworking. Their cat jumps the island in her kitchen and I asked if he does the work counter/stove are. Got an oh no. Well today she found out he does. Was gingerly walking across the stove top. This comes on top of him terrorizing their new furniture. When he’s good, he’s very, very good. When he’s bad, he’s off the charts.

I knew someone who had a shield built that covered her keyboard and mouse. The cat could lay on top of the shield if she wanted to but couldn't jump on the keyboard. I would worry that a jump could just wipe out what I was working on.

I apologize for the profanity in this but I got a good chuckle out of this. An old friend from high school sent this one to me.

Oh there's so much truth in that one. Think I told the story about how Wally (my ginger cat) pulled down probably 8 rolls of toilet paper from a shelf nearly at ceiling level (old house, high ceilings) ONE AT A TIME, took them downstairs and shredded each one.

Oh those are great!
Barn kitty update - we finally got our stitches out from being fixed. I brought her home because no one put in an offer for her at the vets. So she is established in a spare bedroom currently hiding under the bed. The local shelters are now closed for a while so I guess I will have a guest for the duration of the coronovirus quarantine. Smart cat.
