We had Ezell's fried chicken last night (made famous by Oprah). Squeakers was patting me on the leg to indicate he wanted some as soon as DH walked in the door. Squeakers doesn't care about any other kind. His other human food love is crust on toast, quiche, etc.

We had TV dinners last night. Mine had mashed potatoes in it and so I gave a tiny taste of them to my girls and they love it. Adds another thing to the list that they will pester me for. Oh well, that’s the fun of being a mommy!

My dear departed Ben used to beg for anything we humans were eating. Most of the time, it was something he sniffed & then did not taste - fruit, veg, whatever. He would only nibble when it was certain proteins, fish/chicken/turkey. Of course if we gave him a grape it was "toy time."

Our orange cat liked dry cat food. Period. Wasn't interested in any human food we offered. Then I returned from a trip and DH said, guess what - he'll eat steamed mussels. We didn't eat them often, so I don't think he ever had them again.

Their dearly missed doggy brother used to love pieces of apples and peaches, not to mention bites of steak, chicken and mashed potatoes.

Went to the cat video festival today. It was cute and funny and the proceeds went to the local no kill shelter. My friend (another crazy cat lady) and I had a nice lunch before the movie but that interfered with my popcorn/coke ritual. Loopy

My little cat Lucy adored cheese. Thus the nickname "mouse"

Last night I was snacking on a Bagel with cream cheese, Grace came right up on my lap and pestered me until I took a small dollop onto my finger and held it out to her. She licked it off in a matter of seconds. Tried it with Princess and she loves it too. They both go bananas for a tiny piece of Swiss cheese whenever I have it in the house.

Good morning, cat lovers. Felix use to love to watch the local news. Louie isn't much of a TV watcher, unless he jumps up and paws at the screen. It doesn't have to be on for that and he gets in trouble for doing that. Felix doesn't like people food, but Louie thinks we should share with him. He likes to check out whatever is dropped on the floor.

We had a coyote/shepherd dog who watched a program about small animals, then walked around the TV to see if they were in the back.

Every time Grace hears a kitty on tv, she stares right at the screen

Wren44: My kittens do that with David Attenborough shows. Anything from tiny birds to whales they search for!

Mine try to tap things that move on my computer and they look behind it, too.

Good morning, ladies. Speaking of coyotes, my neighbor has a critter cam and picked up 3 coyotes walking behind his house. They looked like they were on a mission.

Wren, I'm glad the cat sitter's cat was found, how awful that would be. I have one cat that constantly runs for the door, he used to live outside (he belonged to my neighbor), and he can still sneak out even if you're watching.

One of our cats showed up on our porch in winter as a kitten and it took over a month to get him to let me touch him, he had tuna and salmon back then.

Coyotes - we don't see them, but hear them at night. A little scary, but beautiful to listen to as well. We are hearing crickets and frogs now, spring is coming.

My sweet new kitty, Nova - my son wanted a black pug but our husky does not like small dogs. So we picked this house panther from a cat colony. Since she was a stray then lived with dozens of other kitties at the colony, she is still getting used to living in a house but is very loving & playful.

That's funny. Our black cat does not like small dogs either.

My late sister had three hefty boys kitties. Two black and white ones who were litter mates and a handsome black Burmese that she rescued. Brutus and Wacko were the litter mates. Brutus, was so gentle and laid back. Wacko lived up to his name. He was one truly whacked out kitty. And Skitzo or Skitz, wouldn't come out of hiding unless it was to eat or use the kitty box, although that changed in the last few years of his life.

They were good unless you had a bag of Doritos and then you had to deal with a four pawed furry thief! Back in high school I stayed at my sister's one Friday night to watch my niece and nephews while my sister and brother in law went out with some friends. Figured once the kiddos were in bed I would get a jump on my homework that I had to do. I brought a bag of Doritos with me in case I wanted a snack. Got the kids in bed and settled in to do my homework. Halfway through doing homework and having my Doritos, I got up to get a drink and when I came back to the living room there was Wacko running up the stairs with my bag of Doritos! I had to chase him into my sister's bedroom and across her bed just to get my Doritos back! I learned my lesson after what I call The Great Doritos Caper!
