And here's another one - rescued from drowning in the same river as Woody was found (sadly, a rather popular spot for "disposing" of unwanted kittens) by a lady who is terrified of cats, but she got into the water and rescued him anyway. He's been in foster care for 3 days now and is looking happy and healthy!

There's also a bit more to the story. Earlier in the day, someone brought in a kitten about the same age they had found on the side of the road near the river, a little tortie. She was bundled off to foster care with a momcat and kittens about the same age. She took to momcat ok, but hissed and growled at the other kittens. A few hours later, someone brought in another one, soaking wet, from the riverbank. About 20 minutes later, this little one showed up and the riverbank kitten rushed right up to it as soon as it was dried off and let go in the living room. Susan, who runs KI, but 2 and one together and had the fosterer bring little spitty kitty back. When they opened the cage, she raced over to the other two and started licking them furiously. They're all from the same litter and reunited in foster care now.

These two were rescued from inside a wall at the hardware store (like Home Depot). They're doing great at their foster home! Wren - I think you asked about having them caged (if not you, someone did!). You can see the big cage in the pic on the bottom. It's 1.5m by 1m by 1 m tall and they are used for larger dogs. Once they're about 3 weeks old, the kittens generally get to wander free range, but the cages are there for times like when you need to vacuum or when the kits need to go into time out.

I would never get any work done if I fostered! Would want to snuggle with them all the time.

Me and the furbabies celebrated the 2 years Cativersary since Seamus and Conor showed at my door. The cats celebrated with a special nap.

They also got new Tshirts but weren't very enthused about them. Did you know it's very hard to find cat Tshirts? So Seamus had to wear a girl Tshirt. He made a "you will have to go to sleep sometime, you know" face for the whole duration.

Conor wasn't too excited about his green one either.

Kiwi, Woody is a very handsome kitten. I would love to see a picture of him when he's grown. I'm so happy the little kittens got back together. I'm sure they'll really enjoy living together at KI.

Seachain, Happy cativersary for your two. Squeakers and Rusty send good wishes.

When we had our floors sanded, stained chestnut and the polyurethane applied again.. we were all out at a hotel for 3 days! That meant the canary went to a neighbors and 3 cats went to the motel with 3 kids. We left the dogs in the back yard in their houses. It was summer. Oy did it stink. The first time we had our oak floors refinished they used linseed oil. Well that didn't last with 3 dogs and their toenails and kids... so when we refinished them later we used super hard polyurethane and this is good!

Lucky should be that kitty's name or "River"! Hope he gets the best home ever. The tortie Grand kitty is very sweet pretty colors.

I agree with Batman and Cat woman. The one on top kind of looks like a bat when you look at it's mouth.

There are 16 cats in that bookcase... OMD there would be WWll here. I have 3 and fur flies. They all love to sleep on our bed in the sunshine in the afternoon... Southern exposure and so sunny. It looks like kitty carnage.. everyone sprawled out belly up, looking dead. Sometimes there is spitting and growls for the biggest slice of sunshine on the bed.

My DD2's boyfriends came for Tofurkey Day (they are vegan) and my cats who are normally terrified of strangers loooved him. He's 6 ft 5 and gentle and the cats just couldn't leave him alone. Amazing. He said he's mostly been a dog person his whole life but clearly he's an animal lover! DD2 and he have a huge cat Pinky - Siamese mix. Cats are good judge of character.
