Hey Kathindc - it's not a big a problem as it is ironic and funny to me :) Removing furniture protectors while scratching floor. He's a clown cat. He'll move on to the next curiosity. But if he continues, that's a great idea, thank you. When I got the two Devon kittens, I didn't realize how much their nails were scratching my "soft" hardwood floor. I never had to clip my rescues' nails. Oy vey, a few more scratches.

I am getting hardwood on my stairs. It seems impossible for my 2 to tell the difference between kitty post and stair carpet.

Neither one wants to sleep on the bed. Too warm I guess.

Our stair walls are fake wood paneling. The cat scratches the paneling to cover up his poop. Usually he covers the poop as well, but evidently it needs more covering.

Quincat, Have you seen "cat in a bag"? It's a clever idea. It fastens around the cat's neck like a collar and the rest is a big bag with a zipper in the bottom. It can be used for claw clipping, administering medicine, and as a carrier. It has a handle that can be used to carry it and the seat belt on the car slips through the handle to keep them seated in the car. The inventor says the cats don't feel trapped like they do in a plastic carrier and don't arrive at the vet already in a froth.

Not only saw that Wren, this weird Vet (that was fired) used it on Quinn and now he hates the Vet! Never heard him so distressed. Of course, I realize there are different bags, materials and sizes, but after that, no, would not even try. He lets me clip his nails ok. Sometimes I get 3 or 4 at a time, but that's ok.

I have to trim nails when the cats are comatose. They wake up like what are you doing. All done.

The inventor says it's not the same thing the vets use. She says that one fits tight. I'm considering one for my 16 lb boy who is hard to get into a carrier. He's getting arthritis so I'm leaving his claws. Sometimes he needs their help to get where he wants to go.

Wren - thought that might be so Wren, though I think that Vet ruined my Quinn from going in any bag!! I'm pretty lucky, as much as my 13 lb rescue hates the Vet, I can easily get her and the others into a carrier. My youngest still thinks the carrier is fun - go figure.

DH is officially a cat whisperer. He gave our 9yo cat his very first bath yesterday without as much as a meow. I think he can talk an animal into anything. Squeakers now has a super soft coat and looks very handsome. I think some of the trick is very warm water.

Here's a funny video about cats. I'm a cat lover not allowed to have one right now maybe in the future.

I follow Cole and Marmalade on FB. Marmalade is the newer red kitten and was dx'd with HIV. He seems to be doing well, despite that. That human certainly loves his two kitties, but then we can all relate to that! ThumbsUp

I hope Marmalade has a long life. My kitty has FIV and he's 9 or 10 with arthritis as his only problem. He's also overweight, which doesn't help arthritis.

Smaarty - love seeing your cats together like that BUT how come your rug looks so pristine! I'm trying to figure out what kind of rug I can buy that my elder cat, particularly, won't shred (and that's with plenty of scratching posts and flat things to scratch on).

I just got a litter-robot. I love it! No more scooping. Empty a bag that sits in a draw maybe twice a week.
