We took our foster, Chewey, to the vet for another blood test. Dr. Nick took time to chat him up and started with the really easy stuff. Got his nails trimmed in front, cleaned his ears, and tried to get a urine sample. He gained another 1/2 pound - getting to look like a normal cat. They got blood with 1/2 the struggle, partly because a licensed vet tech was helping. It was interesting to see how the doctor braced himself when holding. Chewey proved he was really strong last time. He may get the nuclear treatment for his thyroid and not need to take medication twice a day. They'll need a urine sample first, but there's time. They may sedate him for a short time to trim mats and look at teeth. He's a big lap cat and only noisy when he's hungry. Pretty adoptable, I think.

No photos but took my two kitties in for their annual physicals....they've forgiven me. Mostly, And the vet, who's been around the block, told our BoyCat "I forgive you for all the things you called me in the examination room."

Time for a little break? You need to have 12 mins available for this as its an amalgamation of several, so not for those browsing in a hurry, but very enjoyable for those browsing at leisure! The last one had me LOL-ing loudly,

Thanks Feline. I love Simon's Cat. Even the vet has a episode selling Feliway (the stuff that is supposed to make cats feel comfortable).

Today we had to say goodbye to this sweet girl. She was diagnosed with cancer the same day I was. We removed the first mama, but it grew back.. she is now over the rainbow bridge 😥😥

GAmomma, sorry you lost your fur baby. Hard to deal with. I can't tell you how many cats we've had over the 50 years we've been married. From older ones whose time had come, 15, to very young and way to soon.

    Sorry

very true statement.. as she was falling into her peaceful sleep I said that exact phrase"she had lots of personality".

I have had many cats over my.life. many I needed to end their life due to illness or accidents. This was my oldest daughters first experience ,with the vet, seeing it from beginning to end. She is better tonight but it's been a long and sad day.

Now dealing with a stray who's decided that zie wants to move into our basement and hopefully into our house despite the fact that there's already two very possessive kitties standing on top of the door to the basement responding in kind to every aspersion cast on their mother. Husband and I both heartbroken about BasementKitteh's cries and our own kittehs' reaction. I don't think Mr. BoyCat's ever brought me so many gifts of faux mousies.
