thanks sweet sisters.
Today’s has been a long day but good. My sister made it in and I have had a room full of company all day. About 15 people total. Was great to feel the love but just too much for one day. Very exhausting. Guess People are out visiting on Sundays. Plus everyone made it clear they were saying their final goodbyes. just too emotional.
I have been very clear minded all day. Yea. ! My liver has been feeling pressure but not really pain except to the touch. Today however I have had a lot of liver pain. I am already on diladid pain pump 2 ml every 10 minutes for back pain plus I take my morphine extended and Marinol . So it’s scary I am still having so much liver pain.
Much love and thanks

Patty~Try to get some good sleep and rest. You need it for your body to fight this. I am so very sorry you felt like you were saying final goodbyes today. But you don't really know any idea when that will really be. Just buckle up and prepare to roll with whatever happens. You're very loved. Stay strong. We love you! ~M~

Patty. How wonderful it must have been to have so many people surrounding you with love yesterday. I hope today is just a bit quieter for you so you can get some rest. Let that pain medication do its magic. It is always good to hear from you.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne

Patty, lovey the letters are a wonderful idea. Consider sitting with either the boys separately or together. Chat about your feelings and their feelings.Talk openly about what they think and what you think. Seems that one of them is very emotional. Getting him to talk about the emotions might help him. If he can't talk you talk and just hold him. The words will come to you. Might be best separately.
Consider having the pastor available to do a mother son blessing after each talk
A usual thing is we say that we will always be there. There were two Irish things. The Irish were pagans. When St Patrick evangalized to the Irish, they were very receptive b/c the pagans believed in the "thiness" between this world and the after world..The idea was that God, Mary, St Joseph, all the Saints, and family that have gone before were very close to us b/c of the "thiness". They were right there and could be prayed too and talked too. That story came from book on Celtic Christianity. It gave me great comfort and explained the devotions that we were raised with from generation to generation. The point for the kids is you are there when they want to talk to you.
The second story my mom told me. I was curious about the Irish wake. Might not be done in Ireland, but certainly was done in Canada and Michigan. After the funeral there was great joyful celebration. Mom said that the older Irish believed that a birth was to be mourned and a death celebrated b/c with birth they're would be all the trials and tribulations of this earth and with death we would return to God and be freed from all the troubles. Considering all the troubles of the Irish for hundreds of years it made sense that they would view things in that way.
As much as ExDH was an analpore, consider letting him be with you when the time comes if the boys are with you. More for the boys than him. It may allow them to forgive their father, if they can see you forgive him. Even if you have to fake the forgiveness of the idiot. In the long run, it's the boys that will benefit.
Love you baby

analpore!! 😂😂

Oh - I just got it when I highlighted the word to look it up in google. Great description. And yes - I certainly agree about your ex Patty. I'm afraid having him around would be too much negative energy for you to deal with. I think you'll be better with the boys on their own or with one of your sisters.
Sending hugs and strength to do whatever works for you.

KJones, dear nursing school mate couldn't swear. First time, I heard her say analpore and asked what it meant, I knew, but wanted to hear her explanation. She still couldn't say asshole. I use the word often when needed as it get's the message across. Somehow, it's not as indelicate and no need of asterisks.

thanks so much to everyone. Wish I could post to each.
My sister went and picked up dss after school and grabbed pizzas and drinks brought them all here and we had a great visit. They stayed 4 hours. It was great for my soul. Pretty uneventful day other then that.
Mo said biopsy results will be in tomorrow. I am so excited that regardless of results I will go home tomorrow. But on the other hand tomorrow I will have all the info to make the decision to continue the fight or go home with hospice. Kinda feels like waiting on a jury to make a decision re life sentence or not. To be honest I don’t even know what I would want the results to say. As much as I want more time with my dss I am just so very very tired of this fight. The last 5 years have been hard but since Thanksgiving I haven’t had 2 days in a row that I felt good enough to be up and about. THat is not quality life.
Anyway it will be what it will be , right.

Today was a very special Day! Rest , tomorrow is another day. So happy to hear from you. Hugs

Patty...please don not feel like going home with Hospice is giving up. There is also Palliative Care if you decide to continue treatment. Both organizations are wonderful and will be a great support system for you and your family. They are also knowledgable professionals who can help you with those big decisions. Hang in there. Hoping for peace and comfort.

Thinking of you today as you await your bone marrow biopsy results and decisions.
Quality of life is a personal decision and each of us will have to decide how to define that.
I like what dtad said above. You are loved by so many that you don't even know..

Whatever the results praying for you and your family every day.

Waving hello, Patty. Ditto what dtad said, but only you know when you've had enough. What will be will be, but in the meantime embrace the family and friends who love you as hard and long as you can. Wishing you peace and comfort; sending you strength and hugs.
