Hi Patty - you don't know me, as I am relatively new here, but I have read a few of your posts and have been inspired by your amazing spirit. Clearly you have a massive fan club here, too. Anyway - I saw your post about your new her2 status and I happened to see this article tonight that I thought may orbe of interest to you and your doctor. Sending healing prayers for you.

PS - this study recommends a treatment strategy for cases where the patient was ER+ and her2- but flipped to her2+... suggests combining Faslodex with Nerlynx (targeted Her2 inhibitor). It was just published on a March 15.

I have to say it...why did you have to ask them to check it?

I’m ecstatic at the news but it seems there was a miss there somewhere when the patient has to save her own life.

Party tonight and get ready for some Her2 killer coming your way. Love you

She said it was a new mo so maybe not terribly experienced? A good example of how we need to stay on top of things and advocate for ourselves.

Hootie Hoo!!! This is awesome news. We all need advocates to look at our options.

I'm so happy there are more options for you.

    Love, Madelyn

Patty, am I reading it right? You are now HER 2? Is that correct? Well, that would certainly put a different color on the horse ( Wizard of OZ). I know a gal that's been on HER2 injections for 20 years. She mets'd twice (lung, then liver &lung) Each time she was brought back into remission. We here over the years have seen folks change their hormone status. Being proactive to get them to do the test YAY.

That bone marrow test, wasn't the best. I've assisted on many, with a half dozen different docs. Quality of biopsy is variable based on the skill of the doc.. One doc never seemed to get it done right. Always thought he should give them up. Some docs too aren't the greatest at doing spinal sticks, they always had an excuse for not getting in right.

Is a Hematologist in the doc mix? If it was the Hematologist doing the marrow bx, perhaps a different doc doing another one. I know UGH. But it's a truism, all docs aren't equal. Also, has a Hepatologist given an opinion on the liver. They are the super elite of liver knowledge and work.. Plus, may sound like it would have been done has anyone looked at the drugs themselves as origin for the supposed bone marrow suppression and liver malfunction? Sorry that may seen jaded.

Love you Baby, have a stellar day.
