When Spookie came home at 2#, she was soooooo little I couldn’t find her a lot. And the Christmas tree was still up. She’d go under the couch, or beds. And usually doing something she shouldn’t. So I put a jingle bell on her collar. So I could at least hear her. And make sure she wasn’t messing with the tree.

Thank you Spookiesmom! Good to know that at 18 months you could still train your pup. Oh we have a long way to go with Finley but hopefully we can get there! Trying to be patient.

Hopefully he can learn good habits from “the pack”!

Pebbles what a load of cuteness! I can't give any potty training tips because my mutts were relatively easy but your little guy can fit into tiny out of the way spots to do his business. Hope he learns to go outside soon!

The Rah! It’s tough because we can’t walk him yet until he gets his next puppy vaccine (next week) and we live in a condo, so no yard for him to go out in. I do think it will be easier once he can go out with the big boys.

I think the end is coming soon for the puppy search. We have seen at least two places that have some very adorable puppies and we just have to decide place which one we want to go to.

Here is Tippy. I got him in August, from a local rescue. But he rescued me. Now he is overdue for a haircut, he has an appointment on Tuesday. We might both be getting haircuts. My hair is too long in back and too short in front, with those curls all over. He is going to get just a face trim, as I can't see his eyes, and he needs extra insulation in Wisconsin winters. I refuse to get his hair cut short, then have to dress him in silly clothes. He is not so tiny as to have problems with temperature regulation. He is Shih-Tzu and Yorkie mix, but a big boy, at eighteen pounds. I am taking him for walks on the leash, but I also carry a hiking-pole with steel tip, as my feet are numb.

Was decorating my tree this morning and I almost broke down like a baby. The first ornament I put on the tree was one of Jackson’s.

Totally understand. Had a vanity license plate with my Aussies name on it. Had it for years. Came time to change tags, I couldn’t do it. Bawled like a baby. DH had to do it. Go ahead and cry. They are our babies, forever.

They are absolutely our babies. I still think of Kit Kat every day. It took a few months before I could look at her photo and not cry. Now I can look on fondly and think warm thoughts of her without breaking down. Cry all you need to Mommyof2!

Welcome Tippy, what an adorable pup!

Spookiesmom thanks for all the holiday fun posts!

This is our little Kit Kat who is waiting for us across the rainbow bridge now:
