The best costume for dogs I've ever seen!

So.... Tag is still with us. Joint medicine seems to have spunked him up a bit. However, I noticed a tumor in Deeohgee's gum line. Three of them. He has horrible breath and we have been noticing for about four weeks. I went to give him his dental stick and he was having trouble eating it and I saw a pinkish blood tone. Open his mouth and it almost fell out of the side of his mouth. Hiding in the pocket of his Jowls were the huge tumors. I was sick. Researched everything and it all said oral cancer. Could not believe I would loose both dog's together in a million years. Plus I've been seeing numerous new lumps appearing throughout his body. So I was convinced it was doomsday for him. But he's fast, runs like the wind up the steps. Eating like a champ, not loosing weight. Had vet appointment last night. Not oral cancer and the lumps are fatty from age and bumping from being so active. He's in great shape for 11 and he's just having some surgery! Phew!!!!! He has something called Epulris. I’ll check the spelling. Again. Relief for us. I was heart broken. Hope all is well!

Micmel so glad Tag is still with you and Deeohgee is just fine after that scare. They may surprise you in a good way - our Tucker is 17 and still going strong! We do give him Gabapentin and glucosamine for his joints and it’s done wonders.

But today is about Domino who is celebrating her 13th birthday today! Here is my little sweetie. Happy 13th birthday to Domino!

Happy belated Birthday, Domino! So sweet!

Micmel really glad to hear Tag is still with you and that Deeohgee is going to be ok. I know how scary that is. I have a 13 year old pup that is not doing well currently and we are worried also. He has been getting repeated bouts of gastritis so I am fearful of a stomach cancer. And bless him when he feels poorly he wears it all over. Kind of like Eyore from Winnie the Pooh.

he’s still with us, but has to go outside a ton more Which means mama has to get up super early Rough in the mind and body. But we love him Deeohgee will have surgery soon. Don’t like that ! Thanks for caring!

Micmel, 17 year old Tucker is on joint medicine too and it’s also done wonders for him! He takes Gabapentin and glucosamine. Glad you’re are doing better too!

Jack-Bear - not sure if your question was to Micmel or for all of us, but in terms of paw updates, Domino and Tucker are welcoming Finley to the pack!

Hello paw moms and dads - I need advice! So I raised Domino since she was a pup and potty trained her but that was 13 years ago and she’s a female dog. Little Finley is a boy and you can’t tell when he goes as he just stands and HOW DO I POTTY TRAIN HIM? Need potty training tips please. We used to do the old method of taking him to the pee pad and celebrating when he does in the right place but it doesn’t appear to be sinking in yet. Tips? Advice?

Here is our mischievous Finley. On the plus side, at 9 weeks he knows his name already. He’s sleeping through the night so much better. He’s adorably playful and follows me. Now if we can just potty train him...

It will come!!! He’s only 9 weeks old. Boys mimic moms squats, until the day they try to lift a leg, and usually fall over. Then you die laughing. I never tried to p pad train my boys. Just watched them closely. When they woke up, played hard, finished eating, outside. You could tether him to you so you can watch him closer. Or leave him in an xpen if you are not home. Are there any boy dogs he can play and observe?

It will happen, he’s still a baby. And a cutie❤️❤️

Thank you Spookiesmom! True, I'm being tiger mom already LOL and expecting a lot of him so young. He can watch Domino - they are both Pomeranians and he kind of worships her already although she doesn't want much to do with him right now. But today he watched her go on the pee pad and then me congratulate her so I hope it sinks in.

We do have him in a playpen when we're not home and in there, he goes on the pee pad. But he has the run of the house when we're home and he has been going on rugs and cushions and comforters and sometimes the pee pad too. And we've been told we shouldn't take him on walks yet as he's only had 1 of his 3 series of vaccinations because he's so small. Is that true? Or are we being over-cautious and can walk him? I do think he will integrate with the pack better when we can walk him.

Both Domino and Kit Kat (the puppies I raised) were girls. Boy puppies are a bit of new territory! Appreciate the advice!

No walks till he has had his rabies shot, about 15 weeks old. And all the others too. They have immunity from mom for a while, but can pick up stuff, germs etc.

Kris is a rescue poodle. We got him at about 18 months old, while I was doing chemo the first time. What was I thinking? Anyway, he knew he was a boy, and lifted his leg outside. One day he tried the p pad. And missed. I couldn’t yell at him, he tried. And has never done it again.

Maltese are notorious for being hard to train. Spookie has a pad all the time. She will lay on the deck at night for 10 minutes then go to the pad. Guess she thinks the boogie dog will get her😂.

I’ve seen on my doggie threads some put a belly band on their boys. I don’t know how that works, never did it. Guess they’re on Amazon.

    It will come, he’s still a baby❤️❤️
