Love seeing these adorable babies! I haven't been on in a while. Here is a pic of my girl, Sweet Pea (Boxer/rescue) and my Grand-Dog, Achilles (Dane). I made him the Christmas bib. She is 9 and he is 8. He has a drooling issue!:) We use the bibs for damage control! Lol.

MCbaker - the black pup (Kit Kat) is a Pomeranian.

Rah - yes she was the happiest and sweetest! Love her so much.

She’s across the rainbow bridge now waiting for us.

Here is a pic of our other pups and current paw family Domino (Pomeranian, Kit Kat’s sister, 13 years), Finley (Pomeranian, newly adopted and just a puppy) and Tucker (border collie mix, 17 years!).

That is the best! Love all these Spookiesmom and Mommyof2... how do you find them?

    Hello to Dozer!

Micmel - our 17 year old Tucker was doing great Sat night and just lost his mobility on Sunday. OMG it’s heartbreaking and I think you know how I feel.

We aren’t giving up on Tuck. He’s MUCH better today and we have a harness to help him walk now. Any other advice or thoughts from anyone with senior dogs with arthritis?

I took this photo when Tucker was standing on his own for a bit - we have the towel as he’s worse on a slippery floor but better with padding. Domino and Finley are offering their support too.

Mostly he is like this now though...

Pebbles~Tag gets worse everyday, and doesnt do well with slippery surfaces at all. Slides all uneven. It wrecks me. His feet are starting to fold under slightly. But I move them back for him. He doesn't seem to be whimpering or in any pain, but it's clear he's just barely making the stairs anymore and we try to look at it as mobility training and strengthening what he has left of his muscle. I get so worried when he goes down. I know one of these times, he won't be getting back up......I feel for you. I know how you feel , I truly truly do. I'm so sorry. I hate it when they age. It sucks. We give cosequin for their joints. Which I'm sure you're already doing. Sending hugs...Tag always is laying down as well and only gets up to potty... he walks around a little bit it's tripping a lot dragging his foot behind slightly sometimes. I wish I had a doggie elevator...

Poor baby. My Aussie couldn't get traction to get up from the laminate floors would wake me up in the night, trying and crying. It was awful. Once he got up, he seemed ok. But he was good at hiding the pain. It sucks. Friends, DD, and I find the memes in different places. I do screenshots to put here.

Somecards has a LOT of funny ones.

Pebbles and Micmel I am sorry your pups are struggling so. I watch my two 13 year olds begin the aging process and it is wrenching. Those doggies are blessed to have such wonderful caring moms to help them

Pebbles and Michel, I know what you are going through. As you know I went through it with my beloved Jackson.

Still looking for a new puppy.

I get a lot of funny stuff from friends and family. Here’s the latest:

Tippy's canine cousin visited a few weeks ago. Tippy tasted Sadie's food, then ended up eating the whole bowlful. Since then he has been avoiding his regular food unless extremely hungry. He has been out-of-sorts today, So today it arrived. I had my mail, then saw the box. I admit I was a bit excited. I opened the door excited that now Tippy would have some food he likes. He slipped out the door and took a run in the neighborhood. I would see him next to the door, open the door, and he would run away. He finally decided to come in from the cold. I think he expected me to chase after him, and I can't run. Just took a break to take him for a walk. I suspect he pooped during his brief time of freedom this afternoon. So, anyway, he hasn't eaten his deluxe food yet. Busy pushing around a treat-feeder. I may start putting his food in the treat-feeders and cutting back on treats.

Advice please. Would this be a bad time to get a puppy? We lost our dog in May to old age. I just had a lumpectomy and expect to be doing chemo soon. Besides the obvious companionship, I was thinking it would make me get up and walk the dog, play with the dog, etc. My husband is having withdrawals from not having a furry friend, too. We are both retired so we have plenty of time to devote to the care, feeding and training of a puppy

Go for it!!! When doing chemo the first time, I couldn’t deal with spookies coat. So sent her to groomer, who also does rescue. Picking up Spookie she says, did you see my rescue? There he was , an 18 month old moyen poodle. 3 days later he was ours. I had a severe allergic reaction to taxotere, was pretty sick for a few weeks. Then had bmx. During all this, I wondered if I had rocks for brains, and falling in love with him. He’s daddy’s boy, that’s ok. He’s soooooo worth it. A house is just too quiet with out paws clicking. You won’t be sorry!!! Puppies are so much fun. image
