Too funny only because I'm looking back a few short years ago when my little poodle mania was a pup. Up down, up down, in out and in out. Even with crate training, they are energetic.

I thought I posted this thought (rephrased) yesterday. Dogs were here before man ever thought of physical therapists.

We have a 10 or 11 yr old girl beagle. She likes to eat out with us. Her thing is making us clean up after her after we finish dining out and walking back to our car. So if I get this straight hoomans pay for her meal and than gladly pick up. Hoomans ain't the master dogi is.

every commercial, every where I go I can’t shake missing my Tag. I hate death. It’s just so awful that I can’t kiss and hug my best buddy. I am missing him terribly. This really sucks. I can even pet another puppy . My other dog is still sad and sleeping on his brothers bed a lot. He isn’t as jovial as they we’re together. Breaks my heart

So sorry Micmel, I know your Tag was just simply your best boy ever. ((Hugs))

Nugget is doing really good. Hardly any accidents in the house! He's lost his lower canine fangs and now sleeps on his dog bed during the day. It is cute to see him sleeping with his belly in the air.

Tippy has adjusted well to returning to the kennel during the night. He has been retreating to the far back of the kennel when I put him in. I also have a blanket over it. He has been playing on my bed, burrowing under the blankets. Probably looking for the best of both worlds. I wish I could get into the kennel with him.

Nugget had his first bath in our home. He didn’t like it very much but he got one. Think I am going to have to get a throw blanket for his crate. It’s getting pretty chilly here at night.

Micmel my heart goes out to you. We know how much you loved Tag and how much you were struggling with when is the right time. Please be comforted knowing he had a long and happy life with you where he had so much love. I know exactly how you are feeling though. My husband and I finally got Tucker’s paw print back so we did a vigil for him where we lit incense and we still miss him so much. It’s a different chapter without him and never the same.

Mommyof2 - Nugget is the cutest thing ever! He looks like he is going to be a delight. Please continue to keep us updated and post pics. He looks like a handful in a good way!

Spookiesmom what a great idea with the collar!

To Rah, MCBaker, Castigame, Magiclight, doggrooming and others - hope all is going well with you and your pups too and it’s nice to see the updates and check ins.

So our new chapter of a paw family is Tucker and Kit Kat together across the rainbow bridge (maybe they are meeting up with Tag) and Domino and Finley here with us in this world. Finley has started puppy play dates with other pups his age (he’s a whole year old now) and Domino turns 14 this week and I just hope she can live forever.

    Domino and Finley:

The “original” paw family - Domino is now the last surviving member of the original pack:

Nugget is crashed out on my lap giving his mommy some comfort. Had a bad day and I needed a few puppy cuddles. With it getting colder here and him having a short coat, we got him a nice warm throw blanket for his crate or to put over him in his doggie bed when he crashes for a nap until we turn the heat on. He loves it! Today was the first day that we tested him on being out of his crate when we were out running errands. When we came home, I was so pleased to see that he had been such a good boy while we were out! He got lots of love and a treat for being so good!

Spookiesmom I agree! That is an adorable pack of fluffs!

Pebbles thanks for thinking of my doggos they are doing well. We are enjoying the cooler weather which is easier on arthritic bones for a short period until the true cold sets in. My boys turned 14 (!) a couple weeks ago. Hard to imagine.

Mommy so glad you have that Nugget for cuddles.

Nugget on his new blanket. This morning when I took him out for his wake-up potty call, he had a huge surprise. He got to see his first bunny rabbit. He tried bolting after it, but mommy was faster than him!

I recently got a no-pull harness for Tippy. PT recommended working on that behavior, because he could make me tip over, especially in snow and ice. I know he is only seventeen pounds, but he is strong. This is more effective. The loop for the leash is in the front of his chest, so he is pulled around to face me if he bolts. It works.

Finley has a harness that we call his “adventure vest” because he gets all excited when we put it on. To him it means going outside for playtime.

Well Nugget is all set for when it is colder than it is now and I want to take him for a walk. We got him a doggie hoodie and his harness. When I can get him in his harness and hoodie, I will get a picture.

Oh! The cuteness! Happy Birthday Domino! I am sure your Mommy is planning goodies to celebrate!

MC great idea about the harness.

I had to walk my boys on a lead when they were puppies. Now they only get leashed when going to the Vet or to be boarded. We live on a farm so they roam around freely. Although I have noticed now that they are older they stay close to the house and only go into the woods when we walk them. They get two big walks a day. Hubbs does the first one in the AM, I do the second in the late afternoon. We don't walk them as far as we used to now, they get too tired. Haha so do I.

I have to keep Nugget on a leash outside my street is a busy one. He tolerates the harness well.

He is Micmel, he is! He’s 5 months now and no sign of slowing down. My parents saw a picture of him and my stepdad says he looks like a dachshund/beagle mix.

Thank you so much Micmel and I know from these boards how much you love Tag and how special he was too you. Also what a wonderful life he had with you!

Today’s the day - here is our birthday girl Domino who is 14 years old today! I thought I would attach a pic of when she was a puppy to all grown up now so you can see what a little hamster she was - I had no idea she’d grow up so perfect and pretty!

    Birthday girl!
