Goldens, we have the same weather right now as well. My problem is DB was not around to get the AC out of the window, have covered the front but still cold, normally, the apartment heat is strong enough to handle it but I will run my little heater to boost it. Front of the house is warm. Only a couple more days and we go to more typical temps by Friday. That will be the day for me to get out and check the sidewalk, perhaps shovel. Once spring comes the apartment will get uncomfortably warm so opposite stuff will happen. I have lots of fleece blankets so just snuggle under those and sleep which is nice.
I am using the wee washer to clean up the head scarves that smell a little stale from just sittng there. I just don't think the need the agitation from either of the bigger washers. Just finish up the cycle, hand wring and hang from the shower rod. I do the full cycle of wash, rinse clean water then tiny bit of fabric softener/vinegar mix. I would say 80 per cent vinegar that is 50/50 mix water and vinegar and the other 20 percent fabric softener for the scent. For 20 bucks, it does work well on delicates or handkerchiefs and can soak laundry that may be stained, even use a floating lint filter. Not planning to get rid of those or the wand washer, that thing is great too. I have different functions for all machines. Newest and largest does big load like towels and all blankets, repaired one does mostly cloths but can handle clothes as well if needed. Panda spin dryer brought in for the largest blankets to spin out the water, found the right way to spin the flow into the container til it is about 1/2 full then turn off the cycle to put the water in the bath tub, this ensures no overflowing water on the floor. Saves me hoisting in and out of tub. Everything else is spun with the newest washer and the repair. Gosh I sound geeky but I love having options. I even spend time on youtube watching channels show machines from the 50s, 60s and older and learned how to avoid squishing fingers in a wring by pushing in with a wooden spoon. Between inexpensive meals and laundry, you tube is great. The plus side is that I am no longer looking for washers to purchase because I repaired the other one. Even DB has no idea how hooked on laundry that I am, it is my jam way more than his.
As far as food, I did eat badly yesterday, two happy meals at start and end of day. I use the cheeseburger happy meals with fries and really dress up the burger with lettuce and tomato with bacon strips and apple juice. I sometimes buy big mac sauce to spread on as well. It is so much less expensive than the regular big mac meals which before deliver and tip can run almost 20 dollar
I am debating a rice and lentil meal with melted cheese, trying for a one pot meal. My plan is to get the lentils and add to rice first, once the boiling is done add shredded cheese to the top and a little pat of butter when on low heat and then turn off the heat, steam should melt cheese and soften the rice and lentils. Later in the day an egg sandwich would be good. Better get started on the rice with cheese and lentils. With the egg sandwiches, my favourite thing is to add stuff directly to the egg, microwave it and I toast english muffins separately. Easy peasy.
I hope everyone has a good day, I am in pockets with those hand warmers for those of us in the deep freeze and support for anyone who needs me as well.

Irish - sorry to read about Pfizer rep and delays. I hope this gets fixed soon ! And speechless about the veins and not using the wand ! What is up with that ? Oy vey. Hugs.
Mara - I love rice and lentil combos. I don’t eat cheese, but put red lentil pate on my rice and cauliflower tonight, very cheesy consistency and yummy.
Threetree - thank you. So I went to bake the walnut and blueberry loaf, and was out of both walnuts and blueberries lol. So I used raisins and chocolate chips instead lol… super good. Even my DH loved it. So my two new addictions are coconut milk (full fat) for curries, and chocolate chips for baking. New winter comfort foods.Cookie - love those Eagles ! What a great game, my heart was beating and I’m a Giants fan. But root for the Eagles in the playoffs as well as the Bills. Football is fun this time of year.
4 -
rlschaller - Wow, walnuts and blueberries become chocolate chips and raisins; why not? Sounds like you were crafty when you discovered you were out of the two ingredients. I probably would have thought I needed to go to the store. Glad you have come up with some good old home cooking for these cold winter days. Yum.

OMG it snowed on I-95 at the Palm Coast exit. It's been many years since we last saw snow in FLA. I sure hope everyone is staying home and safe. The roads are the pits, or at least the snow hides the pits and they find you when it melts in the springtime.
We had a good day. Last treatment of IRON IV and my favorite nurse nailed it on first attempt. I hydrated continually and she wrapped my hands and arms in a hot blanket. We had lunch in the cafeteria and they had the chefs out at the special station making chicken burritos. Yummy. Hurried home to put pork and sauerkraut in crock pot for dinner. Perfect on a cold, rainy night.
Chatted with my sissy for an hour and we laughed so hard on things from our past that we had forgotten or wanted to forget. She's in Reading, PA. I believe she said it was 10 degrees, blowing like crazy and had 10 inches of snow. DS in Charlotte. Cold and snowing when I spoke to him, but Goose (their 100 lb "baby" Pittie didn't want to come in out of the snow. She is so sweet.
No medical stuff until next Friday. Hurray. Other than dealing with Pfizer and RX to go, to settle lack of Ibrance shipment and or approval.
In pockets for all your needs and hope you have a good nights sleep.
5 -
Irish - What a clash, just reading about snow and a place called "Palm Coast" in the same sentence. Just so glad that you are finished with the iron infusions and that someone finally got your vein without trouble. That must be such a huge relief! I too was just feeling so good about not having any medical appointments until early February now. It's really nice that I have this whole week off without "having" to do anything. I am so wiped out and lethargic this time of year, that it is a real treat for me to not have to push myself to do anything for awhile. I did reluctantly agree to a PT appointment next week. Would prefer to just wait until February, but it's OK.
Sounds like a real fun phone call with your sister; sharing the snow and more. Family can just be the best! Good luck with the Pfizer stuff too - what a hassle you've been having.

It was pretty frigid last night, I kept my lttle heater on all night so it did not feel bad at all, come Friday, will not likely need more heating. I am running the split air as a heater now, both parts of the house are warmer. Every once in a while, the outdoor part defrosts itselfStill not going out that is because I really do not need anything. Most of the stuff arriving from Amazon are related to cat food and bathroom needs, added some probiotic to spur Tigger's appetite and he enjoys the taste of it as well, so expensive but I know it works. May need to play more games to allow that extra amount but I am OK with that. Nice thing about my games I play is that they pay USD which is nice and gift cards like Amazon or Walmart reduce the cost by 25 percent since I am in Canada so that offers me savings. I should do more surveys but they are tedious.
Slept pretty well, doing some laundry and working to organize my space a bit, breaking down boxes, may start keeping in the front closet as I use recycle bags. Both bins I previously used were tossed and practically broken, used packing tape to repair and my original blue one from the condo was stolen so bags are the way to go, same for garbage.
Tigger has gained a bit of weight and I credit the kitten food for this which I really like. I work hard to keep Ava out because she is already chunky but figures once she finishes her adult food, his is fair game. When I feed wet food, she plows through hers and then used to eat his but he gets wet food given in the bathroom with the door shut. It works well, he is trying to get my attention I type, have him tucked in next to me.
Not sure about food, I did a bizarre meal of lentils yesterday using only the lentils. Since they have a lot of liquid, I used the spice grinder to first grind up some doritos, added wheat bran to boost fiber then added lentils last. If I do lentils alone, they turn into a liquid. I added garlic parmesan, sour cream and onion and taco seasoning with a bit of salt and used a bit of sour cream to bind it. Between the doritos, lentils and seasonings with the binding of sour cream, it was delicious and did not have to heat for very long in the microwave. Might do it again, who knows or try some popcorn popped then put though the spice grinder with lentils as well, I will see. I also want to save the liquid that comes out of beans or chickpeas or the lentils and whip up in the magic bullet as I noticed on you tube it can be whipped into a fluffy consistency, could add some interest to different dishes by seasoning that and using that as a binder, so many things I can do.
Enough about me, hoping everyone has a good day, for those that got unexpected snow and cold, mostly FL and the south, I hope the snow is cleared soon and that there are warmer coats in the closet for you, stay safe out there. In pockets for anyone who needs me, in my own pockets to keep up with dishes I make, need to stop and wash dishes at the same time I am making a meal, counter space for anything meant I had to take stuff and put in a bag and pull out one at a time, very inefficient.

Hey ladies, question for ya…I've been sick and feeling pretty crappy turns out to be covid. I had covid before and MO had me take Paxlovid. Has anyone else here had covid lately and did you take Paxlovid? Paxlovid was horrible when I took it before and really don't feel like taking it if truly not necessary..thoughts?
Irish So glad you are finished with the iron and yipee for the once stick! Ugh those Pfizer people , glad you at least have your backup dose. Fingers crossed this gets resolved very soon! Yikes even the chill in sunny Florida been brutal here this week.
Cutting it short today hope everyone is staying warm and has a decent week.

Cookie - This won't be much help, but I had Covid in spring of '21 I think it was, and they gave me Paxlovid. It was a brand new addition for Covid treatment at the time and I had to run all over town looking for it. I took it and didn't feel so great, but couldn't tell for sure if it was the Paxlovid or the Covid. I finally decided the Paxlovid was part of the problem, so stopped it a couple of pills or more before I finished the pack. I started to feel much better after that and have never gotten Covid again. I hope others will have some good and more current info for you, though.
2 -
Cookie, I haven't had Covid in some time (knock on wood) but a friend recently got it twice! She took Paxlovid after the first bout and then got Covid again within a month. I think it "hides" the Covid and makes it linger but have no evidence for that. I'd skip it if I get Covid again.
4 -
hello all
Cookie my husband and I just finished covid. DH went to doctor and was diagnosed and they didn’t offer the paxlovid this time. I told my onc I caught it from DH and he didn’t suggest it. It was a milder version. 3 days bad headache. I only had low grade fever. DH had 102. My daughter got it also and swore she did t have it bc the symptoms were mild in comparison to the other time she had it. The 2 grand kids (12 and 10) who live with us DID NOT catch it.
Cookie I hope you feel better quickly. Take care.
Waving hello to all with gloves 🧤 on. Florida is in the 40’s today.
tanya4 -
@cookie54 As your onc about the Paxlovid. I know it can't be taken with Kisqali.
4 -
Cookie, just to throw an iron in the Covid meds fire, DB and SIL both had the Covid and other than relieving symptoms and sleeping a lot, that was all they did. I just hope you feel better soon.
Irish, glad the nurse got you on the first poke and that the meal was delicious for you.
For anyone affected by the unexpected snow out there, stay safe as I know you do not have the snow plows and salt and all that as we who get it. Stay home if you can until it melts for you.
4 -
Morning ladies thanks for all your input on covid I messaged with NP yesterday to confirm when i could restart Xeloda and didn’t mention the Paxlovid. In 2022 i had to test negative before restarting, this time she said at least a week and when symptoms resolve. I figured if she thought Paxlovid was worth it she would have prescribed.Fever broke yesterday and i know physically i will have a better day today. I can deal with all the cold symptoms but those body aches are the worst. Appreciate all your info and well wishes ❤️
@sondraf Been thinking of you , hoping you’re home recovering .
Hope everyone has a peaceful day.
4 -
Cookie, I am glad to hear your fever broke, yes, fever is worse than the stuffy nose or cough. The cough and stuffiness symptoms can be relieved by Vicks vapo rub in ears and just under the nose and on chest if necessary. Tylenol and Advil were my go to drugs as well to relieve symptoms. In your pocket for continued recovery.
I was amazed how dry my skin is but realizing that is due to the house and the heat needed to keep the cold air out is not surprising. Just need to remember to moisturize more often, that is all. May also pick up a cover for the window AC, did not remove it as when it gets mild, this apartment is HOT. I also put some wet towels in the dryer to create some humidity as it vents in the bedroom, most of the water is spun out so perfectly safe but this helped create some humidity. I would get a humidifier but because there are power cords all around, concerned about the mist damaging them. Anyway, it is February and that will put us in the middle of the winter season so things should change about augmenting the heat.
Nothing coming from Amazon today but tomorrow, will be getting eye drops and something called crumps, it is a seasoning for dog food but safe for cats and is supposed to enhance food. The toppings for the cat food are great but also expensive, I will keep getting it. Tigger does finish his bowl of food now with that stuff on top and it does not disagree since one ingredient is the probiotic. I will probably play games to boost the gift cards I get for Amazon for doing the games I play for a little cash. That would give some good savings. I will be going out with DB and SIL, he texted to check on me in the cold, told him I could use a walk. I am actually good, both heaters are keeping the place comfortable. I am also talking myself out of the fear about walking outside, stairs were the biggest hassle but I can keep up with them and will put the heavy duty ice spike on the cane.
My laundry was left soaking overnight, dusting makes for some good dirty laundry, also agitated a bit this morning, planning to drain and do the fabric softening stage, mostly vinegar with a bit of the fabric softener. Got sock mops on for floor maintenance though I do enjoy the microfiber mop I have. have to use two pads with elastics keeping them in place since I find the cloths hard to attach but they still work quite well when dry dusting or mopping the floor.
Edit, found a bunch of bagged salad I need to eat through, gave the sniff test. Put a bunch of the broccoli, kale and cabbage slices and used up the pumpkin seeds and cranberry for some crunch, also crushed up some doritos, added that in as well with sour cream and onion seasoning and a spoonful of sour cream. I did not enjoy the poppyseed dressing but that is OK. These kind of salads last far longer for me. Made a huge bowl because hunger was over taking me. It really does taste very good, tonight making up two to three eggs in the microwave and adding the potato cubes. I did take a couple of immodium since I am unsure how the greens will go down, a preemptive strike is not a bad thing to do. I also chewed the recommended 30 times each bite to make it easier to digest. Figure the digestive enzyme and the immodium should make sure that there are no issues as I really enjoy those kind of greens. As noted earlier, this was delicious, only needed to chop down the broccoli as they were quite large. Supper will likely be an english muffin, half with cheese and the other half with peanut butter. Just toast to melt cheese and butter, and I let them cool as I do not like peanut butter melted, enjoy it creamy. Will start using eggs up in earnest from tomorrow.
Not sure if posted this before, hoping everyone has a good day, in pockets for anyone who needs me.
4 -
The immodium was a good call, no issues post meal. Planning to microwave an egg for an egg sandwich, just putting butter on one half of an english muffin, cheese on the other half and the egg. Just need to get stuff eaten up.
4 -
Cookie - hope you feel better soon. I had Covid last year and they did not prescribe paxlovid either. Just Tylenol for the fever.
Mara - I like a hot apartment vs a cold one. At least you can crack open a window. Like your work around humidifier… helps with the dry heat I’m sure. Love the toppings idea for the kitties ! 🐈⬛ my boys love their treats.Tired tonight, prepping for the new semester that starts next week. Hope everyone is doing well today, or as best as you can ❤️

Well hello to all from balmy north central coastal Florida at 41 degrees!! I shouldn't complain as sis has 10 degrees and 8 inches of snow. However, I will because we haven't had this kind of continuous cold weather (almost a week now) in years. Suppose to freeze tonight. All my plants are all over the dining room table, floors and entrance. I covered the heavy potted plants over and hoping mother nature isn't too harsh on them. As much as I love to garden, I'm thinking about handing off some or most of my plants to my DIL. She has a green thumb and a great big window for light. If I could afford it, I'd have a hot house. But I think that would mean more plants to fill the space, therefore more work. lol
Have I mentioned lately that each and everyone of you are such great friends. Your caring shines thru for each other on every post. Lots of love on this thread and I'm so happy to be invited to sit. We'd have to have a fire pit though or head inside for a fireplace. A wonderful angel set me up with some 75 mg packages of Ibrance whilst I argue with Pfizer. I am blessed…….
In pockets for scans and staying home in your warm and toasty home.
Laurel

Irish - I would love to sit around a fire pit or fireplace with everyone here! Mel, do you have a fireplace here in your living room?
(Seriously Mel, thinking of you a lot and sending hugs.)
4 -
rlshaller, yes, the dryer does help, I am paying more attention to my skin as well, keeping it moisturized, even bought eye drops to help me out. House is warm since I am using the split unit as well as a smaller washer in the bedroom. I do like the toppings as well since I am trying to help Tigger gain some weight with the kitten food, I do believe it is starting to work. I think Ava needs some senior cat food, they are both going to be 9 this year. I will see how the crumps works out.
I do feel for the people in the south who don't normally deal with that kind of cold and snow, you don't have all the plowing and salting trucks as places who get snow on a regular basis so I do feel bad for people dealing with that much snow, kids may like it but cannot believe adults would.
Only thing on tap is a laundry I am doing currently and going out with DB tonight, not chickening out this time. I chickened out last week due to fear of a little snow. Decided to put big girl pants on and just make sure steps are clear with a broom.
Put through a Walmart order, got two pizzas that will be made this morning, can do different things with them, make things like pizza omelets or anything else, more meat pies, more sour cream as well. Did buy nacho type store brand chips, I do like the flavour in many different things and a big bottle of taco seasoning from Old ElPaso. Got a decent deal as well since the delivery charge was 11.97 but I had 10.00 off that amount because of gift cards earned at my earning sites. Only paid for the tip to the driver plus 1.97 for delivery fee. Planning to have some sort of pizza slice, going to put an egg on top of a cooked pizza slice, add peppers and chop up the pizza slice with eggs. Yummy to me.
Thinking of pizza and egg type meals this morning. Tonight, may do an egg on an english muffin to help use up eggs. Either that or the salad I bought with half english muffin with garlic and slice of pizza, add eggs to pizza later on today. Looking forward to everything.
Other than that, not much happening here, hoping everyone has a good day and in pockets for anyone who needs me.

I was so hungry, devoured the caesar salad kit, the dressing was nice, caesar bacon with parm shreds and a few croutons. That was fine by me, was really enjoyable.
Cooked the first of two pizzas, just folded it into a container and put in the bottom of the fridge, will likely do the same with the second one. My plan is to tear out what I want. Figure could take some of the pizza, take a cooked egg and add different seasonings to it and chop them in together, would make an interesting meal. I will see. I am still finding room for a couple of frozen meat pie meals as well. If I cannot find room, just cook up a frozen meal and store in the fridge. I could also take pizza, add cheese and use half an english muffin as garlic bread, who knows. Second pizza in the oven, going to store in the same container, looking forward to it.
Also got baby spinach which I did not notice til after driver was gone so will make some use of it as well.
I was also surprised to get the order early as it said in 5 hours and it came within 60 minutes of the order.

Went out with DB last night, we walked around a mall and only things were 4 chocolate bars, did ask for the grocery store. Was a nice walk. I did have some fear outside walking to DB van but did not trip and fall so that was good, no issues and deep breathing helped with any anxiety. I am waiting for the weather to change so I can walk on the sidewalk more and walk in the summer even if only 10 minute intervals to avoid any heat stroke.
EDIT: I cooked the two pizzas I got yesterday to keep them fridge stable, no room in the freezer so had to heat up. Planning different things like chopped pizza and eggs or chopped pizza and rice with cheese galore. Pizza should be good for at least 5 days when cooked before refrigerating. Can have plain pizza too with garlic bread. I do want to try the egg pizza though. This meal, I did take some pizza and toss in my chopper to make sure it could be chapped, turned out fine so heated an egg in the microwave, added it and some cheese to the chopper. Seasoned with sour cream and onion seasoning, added some Big Mac sauce, not too much and salt. Used small sour cream to bind all together. I have to say, I could definitely taste pizza, mostly cheese and big mac sauce. When you chop all ingredients, still looks a bit like ground beef, would not surprise me if I could form patties and make some sort of burger. For now will say it did taste good and was very filling. If I come up with something else, I will add to this column.
I am in the midst of laundry, usually leave it in tub anyway for a while in case I have towel or cloths to wash, might as well save on water and soap. Speaking of laundry, will be starting to clear out stuff I am not using such as the washboard I bought which is NEVER used and debating getting rid of the clip on washer, that thing is powerful but messy. I would keep my wash wand in case I feel like shortening wash cycles by using it first. Who knows. Got plenty of time to figure it out. Hold on to the wee washers as well, pretty sure could be used to clean plastic storage bins I use for food, have to see.
I hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for everyone who needs me.

Everyone in my household is finally getting better; coughs are fewer and energy is increasing. It is snowing right now. Baked a banana bread and we are hunkering down. It is 15 degrees heading up to a high of 18…brrr… At least it is on the positive side. I don't need to even leave the house until next Wednesday. Funny how the little things can brighten a day!
Mara, I don't walk in this snowy/icy stuff either. Doing PT at home. For me, even doing the dishes is exercise.
Thinking of Sondraf and Cookie anyone else who is struggling right now. The virus going around this year is brutal on top of Covid. Stay warm!
6 -
@cookie54 I hope you are on the mend…I’ve never had Covid. I’ve had the flu and I just treat the flu with the usual remedies, like chicken soup tea, oranges, lemon & honey, Robitussen, Mucinex, otc pain relievers and saline aloe nasal sprays. I don’t trust anything that has to do with Covid, it was made in a lab, and too much coming to light about it… I used to get the flu shot every year but always got so sick afterwards with someother strain of flu, so now no more flu shots since 2019, and definitely no Covid Vaccine nor Paxlovid.
Feeling a little lazy today. Too cold to go out, and lot’s of body aches following Tuesday’s treatment injections. Still have some sinus issues from the cold I had recently. I’m wishing everyone warmth and comfyness this weekend.
@threetree , hey there girl. Sending you loving vibes from the jersey Shore to the. PNW.🩵🤗

Mara - walking around the mall sounded nice. And was that 4 chocolate bars you bought or ate lol.. ❤️ I look forward to the warmer weather for longer walks outside too. I do a lot of my steps in the house, in between meetings during the work week, and after dinner with a cup of tea to keep my hands warm . And deep breathing has been my go to for a while now. I have a breath based meditation practice, but it’s the deep focused breathing that gets me through my scans and emotions when they rise and stay in my mind. Very calming.
Intolight - hunkering down with banana bread sounds wonderful. Glad everyone is feeling better. I know, It is the little things that brighten the day. Small joys many times.
Shana- love lazy days.. curling up on the coach with a green tea and book… warmth and comfyness sounds perfect.Hugs to all, Rhonda

Good evening all. Mara, forgive my ignorance, but what do you mean by a clip on the washer? The first washer in our home when I was a child, was a wringer washer. Large tub and you had to put each piece of clothing thru an attachment at the top. It was a roller set up to remove as much water from the garment as possible. Then we hung everything outside to dry. I can still remember the old wooden props we used to push the lines higher so the sheets would not touch the ground. They were heavy, bulky and would hit me on the head many times thru the years. ouch
Nothing special going on. Plants have been returned to the great outdoors and watered. The house looks so nice and orderly. I just do not have a good source of natural light in the home where I can keep plants. I slept late today and the crows let me know about not having peanuts. It was hilarious to watch one crown take the shelled peanut and slam it against the concrete. He gave up, but stored 3 double shelled peanuts in his beak before flying off. Mr. Bluejay was late and out of luck. The squirrels and crows always make short work of the large cup of peanuts.
Glad to see people overcoming their fears about walking in snow, and healing from covid. We have a fake fireplace but it does offer flames and heat. I miss our beautiful brick, gas burning fireplace with a lovely mantel. Not sure a fireplace is really necessary in Florida or that it would add more value in terms of resale, but I miss the dogs laying close together in front and warming their bones.
In pockets for scans and life needs.

Morning ladies the wrath of Covid has passed! Just have the lingering cold symptoms, so looking forward to a better week. The temps here in NJ are going to be above freezing so that's a nice treat today!
Irish I bet you are looking forward to the rising temps in Fla., crazy mother nature. Happy to hear an angel blessed you with the 75's. You have such a kind heart and now it comes back to you with the help you need. I love our fireplace and so does Buster, it brings such a cozy vibe to a home . I think people love the look and vibe plus decorating it even if it's barely used.
intolight Glad to hear your gang is on the mend also. Cmon Spring so we can enjoy a ice walk outside.
Mara Sounds like you have been busy in the kitchen getting creative. Glad you strolled the mall with DB and you can never go wrong with chocolate. Hope the weather is warming up a bit for you also this week.
shanagirl Hope today and this week is a bit better for you. Yea definitely over the whole covid crap as I did not get the vaccine the last 2 years I believe. I get tired of putting so many different vaccines, meds along with chemo in my body. I try to take only what is really necessary. Good news, this week a little warm up on the way for NJ.
Ok I'm feeling a bit concerned about sondraf…she usually even pops on when in the hospital. Hope she is just recovering and will catch up with us soon.
Mel In my thought this morning♥️
Everyone have a good day and GO BIRDS for my Eagles friends. Let's get the win today…E-A-G-L-E-S!!!!!

Cookie - So glad to hear that you (and others) are feeling better and getting warmer. We never got that super cold where I am, and that's good. We've had nights in the upper 20's, but that's not too bad, and it makes it to about 40 during the day. We also tend to get sunny here when the temperature goes down, so now we are clear and cold for awhile. I actually like it because our water and mountains just shine in this kind of weather. Went for a drive yesterday to a town just north of here, and took a chilly but very nice walk along a marina path, just to enjoy the sun with the water and mountain views. Some little patchy icy spots, but not too bad. It really did my soul good to do that, and I came back home feeling a bit renewed. Also, on my local neighborhood walks I've been seeing the birds get real active and loud, so mating season seems to have begun; and a little bit early. Buds are showing up on some plants too. All of these things give me that sign that spring will indeed come, and hopefully I will feel better both physically and mentally.
I will add my concern too re Sondra, and thoughts for Mel.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Intolight, I do my dishes in stages now, if I am adding or doing another cycle of laundry and there are some dishes in the sink, I will address the laundry and scrub up a couple of dishes and dry them, don't have nearly so many dishes this way. House work is a workout. I also enjoy doing ankle exercises all the time, especially the rotating ones, do both at the same time.
My cats are actually enjoying the crumps seasoning on their food. Gives another option besides probiotic which they love the taste of as well. Crumps is for dogs but found out they do no harm to cats and are less expensive too. Tigger is filling out some which is good and will be giving Ava senior food as she is round, not huge but pretty tubby. The taste of both the probiotic and the crumps make the food taste better to them.
Will be doing laundry though do not have much to do, am adding zip ties to the floating lint catchers to keep them together when spun through the newer and bigger washer, it goes 100 miles per hour and that can be rough on them so the zipties hold them together. I like more than one lint filter per washer. I do not mind the speed as I really think any potential stain is taken out.
Well goodness, paratransit is very busy today, only getting a busy signal, oh well, will just call back on the half hour between my own activities I suppose. Worst come to worst take the normal bus and have ramp lowered at hospital I suppose. I will keep phoning on the half hour. I would normally feel frustrated but not so much right now, waste of time. Also not redialing constantly because it would not matter. Would call into monday and state the phone was busy all day to book for wednesday. Bonus of regular bus would be the free ride there as it falls on off peak hours.
Just planning some pasta, probably lasagna with baby spinach and adding more cheese to the frozen kind, nothing fancy and an egg sandwich later on today. Boring but pretty good. If I change my mind, numerous meat pies to have which would be good as well.
I do hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for all that need me, in my own pocket to keep patient for the Paratransit phone line to clear up sooner vs later and that regular bus is a viable option. Not doing UBER as it is too pricey. I tend to get frustrated, working on body calm instead. Edit, just kept redialing and got through, there is a forty minute wait so will patiently wait for the trip. I heard that an online booking system perhaps will roll out which would be good as well I think.
