@irishlove I am sorry to hear about your pain but glad you have a visit with family coming up.

@tanya_djamila I am also sorry to hear about the MD in your family member. That is a heavy diagnosis to deal with, in your pockets send support your way.

@cookie54 Yes it is nice to get out for sure, little bit of walking, need to set a budget too whether getting snacks or something at Wallyworld which could be another cheeseburger bowl, it was delicous before. I stayed on budget Monday so we will see. Not too sure on meals, thinking since I need to get through a couple bagged salads. The first meal could be lentils, beans and dry lentils put together with the salad. Boil the dry lentils first, small amount since putting a lot into the meal. Next up, make the regular canned lentil and bean mix in air fryer, firm it all up, not too crispy. Check on it every couple minutes, perhaps add some cheese to it. Let cool off then toss some greens on top and come up with some salad dressing. Perhaps water down mayo flavours so they are more like salad dressing. If I do have all that food, need to shrink portions of each. Later today, thinking of taking couple of eggs, whisking up, would have small amount butter and seasonings, microwave around 5 mins. I may chop up the microwaved stuff since I can hide the egg in other ingredients and do prefer a ground beef sort of texture. Could fry up the chopped stuff in the air fryer but for a shorter time. Could also make an egg sandwith as well in one of the mini griddles. I will post what I wind up with.

Nothing on the agenda today, usual chores which are Laundry yay, floors and cleaning the microwave. I am happy with myself, managed to dispose of 5 bags of garbage, two from current load and 3 I had in my bins just out back. Those built up when I decided I could not take out stuff some weeks. Not even overly tired. Did one batch, took a quick sit and some water. This was yesterday evening.

I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

I did make an order with Walmart, another cheeseburger bowl, bag of Doritos, zesty cheese this time and two meat pies. They are a 1.47 so great price. I also had 5 bucks so only paying 15.00 for stuff that will stretch for several meals as well. I will start by making the cheeseburger bowl first and putting in either some rice or Kraft Dinner elbow pasta, I will see what I choose. Might be best to cook up the bowl, put in fridge itself once cool. Then I can choose what to add it to. Who knows.

Slept alright. Was over tired from Herceptin so cancelled trip to Walmart last night, will wait until next time I feel up to it. If I truly need or want anything, can order delivery. It does take me longer to recover energy post treatment, that is the most bothersome SE other than the runny nose.

Doing up some laundry now, got a head scarf in my mini salad spinner with proper detergent, agitate 30 seconds then leave in the mix and then spin again. Less damaging to the fabric as well. I still have salad spinners in kitchen if I need them. Undies are done in a mesh bag in washer. Both scarf and undies are just hung up on shower rod in bathroom. No shrinkage or fading this way. Just doing regular cloths right now, I have clothing to do next. Floors to be swept mopped etc, cat area to be made fresh as usual.

I've been thinking of what to make for breakfast. My thoughts reach for hashbrowns, just the square ones for now, get those used up, do in air fryer, easier that way. May take small amounts of rice, dry lentils, canned lentil and bean mix, do up in the pot with rice. I use a small cup to measure multi items, less than 1/4 cup so I do not overfill. My bindings like salad dressing or mayo use enough calories and fat. Second option is a meat pie with the lentils and bean combo, small amount of rice and heat the meat pie, rice and bean/lentils in microwave, have to add 2 mins to cook time to account for 700 W microwave. As usual, if it is really good or bad, I will post meals.

EDIT 1 already. Found some veggie stir fry and riced veggie pack. Microwaved the veggie stir fry, has noodles and carrots with basic veggies. While that was going, put in the riced veggie pack which was frozen but kept burner on med heat, added lentil/bean mix, 1\4 cup and a 1\4 cup of beefless ground with a bit of shredded cheese. Just stirred those ingredients. Plan is to mix the heated up veggie stirfry and the stuff done on the burner. Top with the mingles, think cheetos puffs and my toppings. Should be good I would think, garlic, queso and plain yogurt will feature strongly.

POST MEAL The stir fry veggies and riced veggie pack with the lentil/beans and beefless ground with cheese was very good, filling nonetheless so a container is in the fridge. The plain yogurt also tames the stronger flavour of the queso as well. All was really good.

MEAL 2 Was the stir fry veggie and riced veggies and lentil/bean and cheese mix but I added some greens on top, too many if I am honest, was unable to finish the second meal so had to dispose of it. Not fond of reheating stuff more than once. Both did taste very good and allowed me to get rid of more freezer stuff.

I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

I slept a little weird last night, fell asleep before putting on the rain hypnosis I always listen to so it was really quiet most of the night, put the hypnosis on when I noticed and slept a couple more hours.

I was looking at Walmart vs McDonalds for breakfast sandwiches but decided against buying anything since I can make my own sandwiches. I still have my wee little pan to fry an egg, my egg mcmuffin maker or a griddle. Have to decide but not yet. Posting anything I decide to have.

EDIT1 Ordered an egg mcmuffin meal for the first meal, extra hashbrown included and some extra tea.

Got some laundry to get done as well, cats are happy with their wet food. I find I need to break up Tiggers food a bit whilst Ava just eats a pile. They split a perfect portion from whiskas. It is a good amount of food. Floors look great with just a quick go around with vacuum sweeper, love that thing and the Swiffer wet jet thing. I am happy I found it and finally picked it up after seeing multiple days by the door. The reusable pads are great too and much easier to apply than on my vileda. I do use elastics and have a microfibre cloth on the vileda as well.

So any meals done will be posted if different than usual, good or bad tasting. I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for everyone too.

Looks like people are busy this weekend, I quite like to see that. I am not and that is good too. Booked a trip for Wednesday coming up on Paratransit, just the short one, quick walkaround for the most part.

Fed cats, need to get some laundry done, what else is new though and I do not mind, meals are a mystery. I have mostly diced potatoes, couple of proper hashbrowns and meat pies. In fridge, some beefless ground I am working through. Right now, found one of many Knorr pasta, fettucine alfredo, thinking instead of milk which I do not have, could use that in the mix. Idea is to make up the noodles first then add some dry lentils or quinoa, not sure yet. Post later as a lot of the time I change my mind.

EDIT 1 Decided on an egg mcmuffin meal from McDonalds. Just felt like that suited me, I still have a ton of my own food.

I do hope all are having a good day as per usual and in pockets for everyone good or bad.

@mara51506 Sounds like you have been keeping yourself busy cooking and doing chores. I do like the Knorr fettuccine for a quick side dish but throwing in some chicken or shrimp is good too. I made a chicken pot pie since it was a damp chilly day here it seemed like a good choice.Glad to hear you have another outing scheduled this week and it’s not an appointment. Hope the weather is nice on Wednesday. I have been stalking the weather daily being my DD is getting married this Saturday! It changes daily and I know it’s a bit early and unreliable but I check anyway lol. Fingers crossed for a rain free day .

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. In all pockets for a good week ahead💕

@cookie54 How exciting-less than a week now until the wedding! Hope that the weather cooperates, but in any case, I'm sure it will be a beautiful day. May God bless your daughter and her future husband with a very happy marriage.

@candy-678 I have added you to my prayer list for a smooth port placement today and chemo on Friday.

Tomorrow is chemo infusion day for me and my port continues to serve me well. I have begun to interview house cleaners as I just can't keep up anymore. I am sure it will improve my daily mood and lesson my stress. My DH has finally embraced it as more of the chores are falling upon him.

@candy-678 Thanks for the update. I've been wondering when you would start your new treatment. Prayers for it all to go well.

@intolight Good for you for getting some help. Hope it makes life easier.

    @goldensrbest Have fun-sounds like a great trip!

I'm going to a little conference in Indianapolis-don't really feel like it but a change of scene for a couple of days will probably be a good thing.

@candy-678 Sending support for you on the port placement and treatment change as well.

@cookie54 May there be good weather for DD wedding day, congratulations. Chicken pot pie is always a good dish, Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

@goldensrbest Enjoy your trip to see your friends and enjoy the food as well.

I am looking forward to the trip out Wed, Friday last week was good as well. Not sure I should buy anything much as already purchased a lot before.

Meal is underway, decided on a cup of quinoa, added some beefless ground to the pot and leftover lentils and beans, got it boiling first then decreased heat and have it going for as long as it takes for the liquid to be used up. If after 15 mins, it is still full of liquid, no problem to drain excess water. My plan is to add some garlic butter seasoning with some sort of burger sauce I already have. Later meal will likely be an egg put on a toasted english muffin. Will post results if they are supergood. I have also been thinking of getting chefboyardee ravioli and trying out rinsing it as I do not like the tomato sauce they use, strain out the water and do something different. Thinking I would just use the ravioli and season it the way I like it done, have done that with Kraft Dinner.

EDIT 1, I did prepare 1 cup of quinoa, leftover lentils and some beefless ground. I did not account for how big the quinoa gets. A 1/4 cup quinoa, lentils, beans and beefless grounds would have been more than enough. I did add cheese after it was done and some garlic mayo. It did taste fine but was too much for me to manage at once, got about 1/4 of the meal eaten then got full, put rest into a container and plan to take a spoonful or two and add to other meals. I have had quinoa before but years ago. Oh well, extra meals are no bother for me.

I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for all.

    Have a wonderful time.

    @intolight

You deserve some help so you can enjoy the time when you feel well and rest when you don't feel well.

I'm going to Johns Hopkins on Thursday for a second opinion. Hoping to get some insight as to where I am now and what the next steps might be. If I learn anything useful, will be happy to share.

Thanks ladies for all your well wishes for the wedding, we're ready to celebrate!

@candy-678 In your pocket for smooth treatment on Friday, continued prayers💕

@goldensrbest Safe travels, have a glass of wine for us and enjoy yourself!

@chicagoan Safe travels to you also. Sometimes those trips or parties we don't feel like doing turn out to be better than we think. Hoping that's the case for you and it's a nice refresher.

@irishlove Glad to hear your MO said your still in remission, great news! I hope you will feel well enough to travel Thursday, I know you are eager to see your family. Sending you healing thoughts for pain relief especially with traveling. Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly.

@eleanora In your pocket that things go well with your second opinion, it's always good to be proactive! Hoping for a thorough and informative visit.

@intolight Well good for you, a cleaner is much deserved! I see many homes in my neighborhood with cleaning services. Many are younger couples who I assume are busy with their kids, so it's certainly a nice option to have.

@mara51506 Enjoy your trip out tomorrow, I hope there is brilliant sunshine..

Thinking of many here @threetree @mkestrel @shanagirl @tanya_djamila to name a few, sending well wishes.❤️

@irishlove @cookie54 I am looking forward to the trip I must say. It is supposed to rain tomorrow but that does not matter. I can wait inside Walmart for pick up and wait at home for a pick up.

Got a large laundry underway, thinking of dividing loads between the two washers in the tub, not sure why I do not use both of them at once, not like it will overload the electricity, get more stuff done at once. I do have some soaking of cloths in the bigger one, wiped down the window sills and the cloth was black so I do have a fair amount of stain removers. Good thing with the washers is they use very little soap and last a long time. I will run a lysol disnfectant cycle for the laundry as well. I always do that if it is soiled or stain with dirt. Put the mostly vinegar with a bit of fabric soften in, spin and throw in the dryer.

I made a huge mistake yesterday cooking up a cup of quinoa, beefless ground and lentils. The quinoa really became huge, will cook up smaller batches next time. Not sure about meals yet, got more peanut butter so aiming to use up my english muffins with peanut butter and honey. Paid 3.00 for two smaller jars on Amazon. Had gift card money to use to lower the price from mobile games that boost budget. First meal, I know I want to take a couple of eggs in a sprayed bowl, put a spoonful of the quinoa, eggs and cheese, microwave it first. Let cool the throw in the air fryer. Add either one of the hashbrowns or some diced potatoes as well, make all crispy. Cook on high and check every few minutes. I will see, need a yogurt snack later as well. Peanut butter english muffins with a bit of honey on the top sound good to me. Post what I decide to have later.

I do hope all have a good day, in pockets for all as well.

Well, I am very happy. Used up the swiffer wet jet mix and popped it out to open the lid. Found I could not do it at all. Apparently in a bid to keep us buying more of their stuff, they had a lock on the lid, Golly gosh darn these guys. I knew there had to be either a cheap dupe or had to be a way to open the lid.

I saw a video on facebook that covered this method. You have to use very hot water, I boiled the water and held the lid in the hot water, I wore my ove glove, held it in there for close to 3 mins, brought it out and wouldn't you know it, the lid came straight off. Needless to say I am happy, do not need to keep using plastic in my wet jet and it does not leak at all, unlike my vileda and it is easy to pop the container out. I put some straight vinegar and some of my enzyme as I like the smell and put both in the container and put the lid back on.

It turns out there a bunch of pieces of plastic around inside the lid that prevent opening the lid and making people believe they have no option but to buy another container. Turns out holding it upside down in hot water softens the tiny bits of plastic allowing a person to open the container. So if any of you have the wet jet, use this method to avoid throwing out a bunch of plastic. Also get reusable pads that can be tossed in the washer. Save lots of money that way.

@irishlove I am very glad that worked out for the ibrance, sometimes events due come together in a helpful way.

I had to cancel my trip to the mall, little to no sleep came last night. I decided to go with it and snacked on small things overnight like the burritos I enjoy, makes me feel better on that. I am unsure what the root cause was though I was quite busy discovering the secret to remove the wetjet out of the swiffer and get the lid off. They make people think they are unable to remove the lid so they will keep buying the cleaner but as it turns out, that is unnecessary as a hack I found on youtube solves. When done with the cleaner take it and dunk in very hot water and hold there approx 2 mins. Softens the little teeth holding it firm and it will twist off. I know that is where the bulk of their money comes from having to replace the cleaner. Same with the pads as well. Using washable pads, using my vileda to dust and pick up the cat fur. Used to use it for mopping but it always leaked on me.

I used vinegar and water, with enzyme and a couple drops of dish soap to ensure the mop did not leave any grease. Good so far. Smelled good too.

Laundry is on the go, got a lot to get through which is fine, had two washers going at the same time earlier. My main dryer is on the go as well so the house smells good too, still using the wool balls too. I also need to fold up boxes and take out some of the litter containers that are empty. I use the lightweight stuff but cannot manage the box of stuff.

Not sure what I am having, found an old hamburger in the freezer, thinking I will air fry it first with some canned lentils, the red ones would disappear and some canned lentils. Perhaps add rice as well. Small amounts of extras. Got plenty of queso and could use the plain yogurt that I use for savoury purposes and as a smoothie too. Will post meals later as menus often change.

EDIT I did cook up the hamburger, no need to flip since heat was coming from both sides as I was using the tray, not an obscene amount of grease either which was good for me, Besides the frozen burger, added a generous amount of canned lentils, put garlic butter seasoning and salt. When it came out, just sliced up the burger, added a bit of the queso crema from great value, a dollop of sour cream and ate out of a bowl. It was yummy.

I hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for all.

Had a good sleep last night which was good, went to bed at a more reasonable hour to allow for watching of facebook reels, short wee videos. I was asleep before setting up the rain hypnosis. The guy does a subliminal speech during the rain which is better for me, do not need to hear a voice all night.

Nothing on the agenda today other than usual laundry, floors and whatever else fills my head. I did wash the microfibre stuff I use on mops and the fur left in the floating lint filter was nuts. I usually catch some lint but not that much.

My food will be a good thing to figure out, My freezer finally looks more empty which is good. Canned goods on the pantry shelves look good. I do believe microwaved eggs, beans, rice and lentils could be good. Chop the mix up with some cheese and put either in air fryer OR just plain on the stove. If on stove put on high for around a minute, cover with lid to allow for the cheese to melt, I will see. I do still have beefless ground to have as well. I know groceries have increased in price but the beefless ground has gone up 4 bucks in recent times. Crazy. I got a few more canned lentils as that will sub in for meat and boost what I have, got more beef and bean burritos, they are good and quick as a snack, more meat pies one medium one and the mini pot pies as well. Totalled 40 bucks, 0 for delivery and the minor tip system allows me. I figure that those were some good and reasonable purchases. The haul should last two to three weeks. Mini pot pies get put in microwave with an egg for a protein hit, lentils sometimes go in as well, it will arrive between 12pm and 2pm.

EDIT The groceries arrived early and without notification but that was fine, the fellow was on time and received it all. I did get rid of half of the ramen already and took the shelf for the canned lentils, holy cow I have a lot of cans. I will be getting rid of stuff not used, makes no sense to keep stuff like that, got 2 of the cheeseburger bowl, can add some lentils to that if I want to.

EDIT 2 Turns out I was not notified of order being delivered because even after receiving everything, the system still thinks the order is delayed hence why it did not notify me. I called Walmart, got the order number for them as well, girl said she could see the picture that delivery person did.

I will post meals if they are really good.

I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

I am also disposing of my soup noodles as well, I have found the last few meals I tried to make with it, no matter the water content or flavourings produced a bitter taste, not because the noodles are old but just a problem for me, threw out a good portion of the meal I made with the ramen, lentils and a bit of chia seeds and they tasted disgusting, tossing the rest of my unopened noodles as well. I do not believe the taste will improve. I will stick to rice and frozen pasta or even my leftover dry pasta. Lentils I put in along with the chick peas were fine but could not get past the bitter even when tried a minute amount of honey to counteract. It was less severe but cannot justify buying stuff I just plain do not like even if it is cheap. I'll stick to pasta and use the Kraft Dinner pasta in differing amounts and hold on to the cheese sauce in an airtight container instead. I never make a full box of the pasta, just heat up the noodles and add other dry seasonings to the water. Give them a bit more flavour then decide what else needs to be added, I have been known to use a 1/2 cup, heat in a pot and add different seasonings to the water.

I slept well, nothing on the agenda today which is fine. Chores include breaking down boxes in the house, ordering Amazon does mean many boxes to deal with. I got a lot cat litter containers out on recycle day. I wish I had room to keep the cardboard box the lighweight litter comes in but I do not. Still enjoying my found Swiffer Wet Jet and the fact I learned how to remove the lid of the liquid. Save money on that and the reusable pads as well. I use the vileda pads as dusters but also to wipe around furniture as well. Only reason not using it as a mop is the bottle holding cleaner leaks and the swiffer bottle does not. Hot water on the lid for a minute or so allows it to be opened.

I do have to say, I do not know which cat did it but I had a firetv remote lost under the fridge, cats were playing and knocked it underneath, it was OK as I have an extra or use an app on one of my older phones. This morning, as I got up, I saw the same lost remote on the floor so one of the cats got it out, thanks cats.

Food is a conundrum. I think for simplicity AND nutrition, take one of the cheeseburger bowls from Walmart and just add lentils to the finished product. I love the lentils, both dry and canned. I went through the empty shelf left by disposing of products. Put them in the hallway in a box and wrote free. Someone picked them up. I am craving fast food but need to save money as well so my thought was to use Paratransit to go to a restaurant, pick up a meal and then have a ride home or eat at the restaurant. I will see, would have to wait til Monday.

EDIT 1 I decided to heat up one of the cheeseburger bowls from Walmart, added 1/4 cup of canned lentils and a bit of the beefless ground. It was pretty good and full of fibre.

I do not have anything else on the agenda today, still working on laundry and watching youtube video gameplays with my favourite people.

I hope everyone is having a good day and of course in pockets for all.

@irishlove Glad you had a good visit, hiccups can happen but not a big deal usually.

@candy-678 We will see SE of Enhertu on you, in pockets they are tolerable and not severe.

@goldensrbest Glad you enjoyed your wine tastings. We have been cooling down at night quite a bit which is nice. Don't like to be too warm even with a gabillion fans I have that I refused to get rid of. DB and SIL have not been seen since snow was still on the ground, will be asking him to shop with me for an AC buy current weather is not requiring one. I will be glad when heat is finally turned off for a few months.

Nothing on agenda today, got the first wash on the go. Will have a disinfect cycle with the Lysol, I use that if the mess I clean requires it. I still love doing laundry though.

Not sure on meals, thinking first meal could be microwave eggs and two mini pot pies and some lentils. If I go two eggs, and two mini pot pies, smaller amount of lentils would be advisable. Thinking I will make up red lentils if there are no lentils in the fridge. I will make some first. I do like the dried. If I need to.

EDIT1 I did have the 2 eggs, 2 mini pot pies and the lentils, heated for 5 mins in microwave. Sliced everything up, added some caesar and ranch dressings, small amount of each and salt. It was very good.

Not sure what else I am having but will post later.

EDIT2 Got my delivery from Walmart, they have the cheapest price for loperimide which is taken with each meal along with the digestive enzymes as left alone, my body takes issue with almost anything including things like rice and toast, might as well keep my digestive system working well. Also got some more frozen pasta meals which allow for the package being opened and things like an egg or lentils to be added which are really good. Not too sure what I want. I just had a lovely amount of yogurt flavoured with the mio squeeze bottles found, cherry and raspberry flavour made the yogurt lovely.

Hope all are having a good weekend so far and in pockets for all.
