Hey ladies happy spring
Mara I’m going to look up hip fan. It’s sounds like I need one in my life.
Just leaving acupuncture so I’ll hopefully have energy from b-12 shots to do some gardening.
I hope everyone has a peaceful pain ache free day with sunshine and cookies 🍪!!!

@chicagoan Now who’s embarrassed 😂 Phil’s bats quiet again… congrats to the Cubs!
3 -
@cookie54-Now the Phil's can start hitting again-until they visit us next week at Wrigley! The Cubs haven't won a series is a while so this was a shocker.

Update from me….
With my liver progression I had on March 21 scans, and the liver biopsy I had on April 6, we have decided I am going on IV Enhertu. I switched from HER2 negative to HER2 positive. I will have to get a Port- I had one in 2017 but removed it 2023 because I was on oral meds and did not need it.
I will update my profile.
9 -
@candy-678 Best wishes with the Enhertu. I hope it is a very effective treatment for you.
4 -
Fingers crossed for you that Enhertu kicks this beast out the door. Several women in one of my support groups are taking Enhertu, and side effects seem to improve after the first few sessions.
4 -
@candy-678 Sending support that Enhertu is effective for you. I love my port as well since my veins are difficult to get.
@tanya_djamila Yes, the hip fans are great, good to use for flashlight, came in clutch when I ran out of power, they can charge phones and of course run for a long time. Level 1 of the fan can run over 24 hours. I run them on level 5 but that is because the heat from the boiler is still on.
I slept alright, still got some cold symptoms but I do believe the meds taken have helped to keep most of the productive stuff at back of throat vs. chest. Mucinex is the best for me but I do take it twice a day. Feels more effective. I think the cold should be gone by next week. I have also periodically used Hydra Sense spray to keep nose clear. Works well too.
Not sure about food, thinking that I will finish up the can of chicken I have been using for protein. Got some more of the heinz mayo from Amazon, a lot on sale except the burger sauce and lightweight litter. Put all on subscribe and save and will skip the shop next week from Walmart. Freezer is still stocked to the gills so no full shop needed
I am thinking I want a chicken and rice sort of vibe done up in a pot on the stove, keep it an easy cook. Could also add an egg to the pot with the chicken along with extra water and some dried red lentils which are great. I love the feathery texture Need to look at my macaroni and cheese dinners and see about separating them from the box and have with other stuff. I do not need to eat an entire box of Kraft Dinner and the cheese sauce could be put in an air tight container as a seasoning as needed. That way, I could take a 1.4 or 1/2 cup of the elbow noodles and make another meal around it. Does not matter. I do plan to post what I have of course. I do think I am quite good at stretching food. I have also found the plain yogurt mixed with some queso or other strong flavours is really quite good. Queso is expensive, even at Walmart but a good flavour.
EDIT 1 Took a beef and macaroni meal, added some italian seasoning and pre cooked red lentils. They are wonderful and just like feathers for sure. Microwaved the meal, italian seasoning anad cooked red lentils for 5 mins, pulled out a large bowl. Dumped all in. Took a large spoonful of queso and the plain yogurt and added a few of the mingle puffed chips, think cheetos. It was very good.
I am trying out a Paratransit trip that would be 90 mins total. I want to see if transferring is an option. Would be either a Mcdonalds lunch and walkabout for 20 mins and check on grocery store. If it works out correctly I should have a transfer which means entire trip would cost 2.65 in total instead of 2.65 there and 2.65 home. I will wait if I am accepted for rides, they call with trip times. If not, that is fine. If goes through, that would be on Sunday. Need to be up earlier Sunday as I have a Herceptin app't on Wednesday. If I can manage those kind of trips more often, won't feel home bound AND I do not have long waits as the system calls my phone telling me arrival times which is handy. If the day is filled already, will cancel Sunday trips and aim for Monday, really not a very big deal. I will give it a few hours. I would just get up early to book whatever I want for Monday.
Rides for Sunday did not work out, ride home from Walmart was fine but since I don't want a regular bus, will set alarm for tomorrow morning and rebook for a trip on Monday instead. Not overly surprised, it was later. When booking trips, really do need to book almost as soon as they open up.
I have already swept and used the sweeper to pick up the fur, I just need to run the swiffer wet jet but going to do that after lunch, want to finish up laundry. I do have to say the wool balls that are in the dryer are good at shortening the dry time abit but no good for static cling so putting about 1/3 bounce sheet in there, smaller dryer so does not need a whole one.
I do hope all have a good day, in pockets for all as well.

@candy-678 Glad you have a plan in place and may Enhertu kick cancer's butt!!💕
@mara51506 Well it would sure be nice if you can book more outings especially since the weather is nicer. It's nice to break up the day and get out and socialize.🤞

Good evening ladies
@candy-678 i heard a lot of good things about enhertu. Top of the line in infusion now according to my Support group ladies. One requested it instead of oral medication. I hope it does amazing work and lasts a very long time.
Mara I looked at the fan on Amazon. I think I’m going to get one. Seems versatile and useful.
I walked around garden department at Lowe’s. I could spend so much money in there. One project at a time.
Take care all

@candy-678 Hoping that your new med will kick cancer's behind. I liked my port back in 2004? Used for chemo for MS. Had it removed years ago and wish I still had one. Veins are shot. I hope Enhertu is easy on you with great results.
@mara51506 Hi gal. I hate head colds. Mine go to my ears every time. As soon as I feel stuffy I use Grandma's trick and apply Vicks vapor rub to temples, under nose and chest. It usually works well. Tried to get Claratin D in the blue capsule and had some bad news. It's now a large white horse pill, packed 15 pills, kept behind counter and you are tracked how much you can or will buy. It's now $29.96 at CVS. Sounds like they are once again having problems with drug users.
Hi all you gals. Good to see @tanya_djamila , @cookie54 . @eleanora @chicagoan Please forgive me if I missed your name.
We've received awful news on the passing of our gr.nephew. He just turned 30 and lived a life devoted to Jesus as part of the Mennonite community. He was born with muscular dystrophy. I believe it was duchennes', which is the most aggressive form. He spoke openly to groups about the disease and did not want pity. His father is a Mennonite minister. Such a young age, my heart breaks for the whole community.
It's been in the mid 80's but 90 is lurking. I had hoped to have the garden work completed by now. We need more stone and mulch. I tried to clean off the old stone with a strong water pressure from a newer hose, but it didn't work very well. Planted pumpkin seeds along property line. That's where one had grown before.
Back brace arrived today and so far I notice a fair improvement. Hoping for more. DH went up on the roof to clean gutters out. We are under a fire warning. Not happy with him. 79 years old. Humph. Hire a kid in the future.
In your pocket for any and all of your needs my dear friends.

Candy - joining others in hoping that Enhertu kicks your liver Mets to the curb, along with being tolerable.
Had my nerve stimulator removed Wednesday after 2 months of use. I did get about 15% relief. Not what I hoped for but it’s better than nothing. Doc said sometimes there is continued improvement after removal. Time will tell. He is trying me on a muscle relaxer which I have never taken. Hopefully that will help. Also going to go back to getting steroid injections. Can do those 3x a year.
Irish - so very sorry to read of your gr-nephews passing. No parent should have to bury a child. My husbands uncle had to bury 2 sons about 9 months apart. Was so devastating.
Here for pocket duty for all in need. Hugs to all.
4 -
So sorry about your great nephews passing. Sounds as though he made the best of the difficult hand he was dealt. An inspiration to us all.
3 -
@tanya_djamila You will enjoy the fan for sure.
Slept pretty well, had an early alarm set so I could get the trip on Monday. I hope it goes through, did not yesterday as the first pickup was already full yesterday. I will wait to see if calling to confirm. If not, may have to consider regular bus though not interested in that, too addicted to being picked up and dropped off at home, we'll see.
EDIT The rides have been booked for Monday. I am happy about that for sure. Just do a quick walkabout the mall. Bring a bag with me in case I eat Mcdonalds or want to bring home, no real grocery shop I do not want to have heavy groceries. If the transfer window is met, will only be paying for one ride. Just have to book early if want to use the service.
Nothing else on the agenda, think the humidity has broken, indoor temps are down to 73 which is more comfortable, shut off the window fan though still have fan in the window. We do have some cooler temps, even a dusting of snow and then it melts but this is Canada. We have had tons of rain though which is good. Fans are getting a break.
I am really enjoying the dried lentils I must say, they truly are feathery texture, red lentils. I made a simple meal with a frozen meal and the premade lentils on top, it was so good. I still like the canned ones as well as they do not require heating up, can just be drained and dumped in whatever is being made. Beans are good too, like making an egg, put some black beans in and then chop them in with cheese. My preference is a smaller texture. I think I will start chopping in other canned veggies I have. My pile of stuff in the pantry is shrinking up. That is for sure.
EDIT 1 I did try heating up some of the ground beef that was on hand, this is supposed to be lean ground beef but even before it heated up, there was a LOT of grease, I am not happy to deal with this so I think I will stick to black beans, lentils, bot dry and the canned variety and rice or pasta. Not having to put up with grease is good and I add my own fats to meals. Sticking with eggs, beans which can be microwaved and then chopped up into lentils and rice would be nutritious I believe. Chucked out the rest of the beef, it is wrapped up in six layers of the same garbage bags to contain odour. I put it outside. Decided to get an egg mcmuffin meal.
EDIT2 The egg mcmuffin meal was pretty good I must say. I will be doing the thing with beans, lentils and rice with eggs. Do up the egg or eggs first, put a handful of black beans, some canned lentils and a smaller amount of dried lentils. This will not become greasy. Can chop up the mix and just give an additional heat up. I will post about it later. The beefless ground is just a bit pricey for me, used to be 6.99 and now is over 10 dollars so stick to cheap and nutritious stuff.
Got taxes to be done today. Pretty simple online process and mine are not difficult. It is nice there is an online process that helps with this. Better than going to someone who does it for me and not having to wait til stuff comes in the mail.
EDIT 3 Taxes are done, not super simple either, at least in my book and expensive too. I did ask for expert advice at one point and it increased the price quite a bit. Not super impressed but it got done, I will see about better prices next time I do them, otherwise they are done.
Laundry is on the go today, cold water for some clothes that really just need a light wash vs heavy duty wash. The cloths needing that are usually ones that have wiped up dust and such. Oh well, still love to do the laundry. I keep finding stuff in storage under bed as well from back in the day when I overspent on soap, still got some laundry soap bars as well. Save those for really stubborn stains, still got a washboard at back of linen closet.
I do hope everyone has a great day and in pockets for all.

@irishlove So sorry to hear about yout nephew. May he rest in peace.
2 -
@candy-678 - thinking good thoughts for you getting your port placement and starting Enhertu.
@chicagoan - my son loves his hip fans. When he's working in the heat, he drapes his shirt over it and it keeps him cooler. You can also wear them outside of your shirt if it's not loose-fitting.
4 -
@irishlove I am very sorry to hear about your nephew, may he rest in peace. Sending condolences to you, the rest of the family and his friends. Also sending a hug to you as well.
3 -
happy belated Shana ! Candy. You’re on my mind.
tanya hello my dear. Just dropped in to say hello and check in on all of you. I think if you daily. Hugs and love5 -
Hi all you sweethearts. Did I ever mention, you folks are my blessings. Thank you for your condolences. I will pass it on to the family (in PA.).
Super worn out as we worked outside in yard. Talked DH into hiring the lawn guy. It was 90! No rain, still in drought situation and high risk warning of wild fires. I wasn't too happy that the lawn guy decided to work in this heat. I tried to talk him into early morning, but he said no, needs the funds now. If we knew him better, we would have paid ahead of time. Still need a few more bags of stone and plant a few young ones that I have raised from seeds.
Thinking of each and everyone of you and hoping for good scans, stable disease and pain free days.
Irishlove
3 -
@irishlove Wow, that is really hot. Only had 90 in the house with the boiler heat. Glad you were able to get stuff done. Wish I could send you some of our rain.
I had a decent night of sleep. Still on Mucinex but it has been less than a week of symptoms. It is at the dry cough stage and was not super productive thanks to the drugs, nasal spray and such. It will be gone early next week. I do need an early wakeup on sunday, between 8 and 9 should be fine. Need to book Paratransit for Herceptin on Wednesday. I like that the appointment is in the afternoon vs earlier. Late enough, should not be as many people waiting for chemo. I also have my outing Monday that I booked. Mostly it is to try to see if I can pay for one ride there and back on a transfer of 90 mins. Booked for pickup at 130 and 300 pickup from Walmart. I am debating getting a Mcdonald's meal to bring home. I will see.
I got my taxes done, lot of frustration with trying to find where rent payments for last year were located. I am glad they are done nonetheless.
I have decided that unless it is a meat pie, going to mostly use rice, beans, lentils both dried and canned. Skip the beef and will need to figure out how to keep chicken from tasting like canned chicken. I plan to rinse the rest of it and stick it in a bowl with eggs, beans and rice. Cook up the rice and dry lentils and when eggs, beans and chicken are cool after a microwave, chop them up into a fine texture. I will post meals later if they are really good.
EDIT Was watching youtube political stuff when I came across a channel Catherine's plates. She made a big mac pasta salad, making her own big mac sauce, beef and rotini. Now I cannot image pasta salad with beef but can imagine pasta salad with lentils and whatever flavour or using a bit of a thinner burger sauce. Sounds good to me. I will see if I try it or just use KD noodles to whip that up. I will post if I make it.
Only other stuff I am doing, quick broom sweep, vac sweep after and quick mop as well, got some laundry on go, if bored, may wash up some blankets later.
I hope all have a good day, in pockets for all.

Sunny and a bit cold here but looks nice outside. Got Paratransit booked for Wednesday for Herceptin, cancelled first booking as I like to give 3 hours but only gave 2 at first. Cancelled and rebooked. Still have book for Monday. Debating second trip out elsewhere this week, not sure where at this point, I will see if I want to go anywhere else this week. The Wednesday trip was approved already which is good. If I am done Herceptin quickly, may go to a restaurant or grocery store nearby. I would need to check my watch when done.
EDIT, realizing that if I have a lot of time before a pickup, could walk around the hospital instead of booking an earlier ride OR cross the street and get a couple of groceries to bring home. Depends on when I finish my appointment finishes.
I am looking to do some clothes in the laundry. My sister in law had organized my mesh bags which I like to use in a different place when she kindly reorganized and clean stuff up. I came across them last night so using two of them now, washing in cold as one of them is a pink shirt but going to wash and rinse in cold I do not want anything to transfer in colour. I love finding stuff I was not sure was missing. Also moving my hanging dryer that has the heater from the top down back into bathroom for the actual ability to plug in.
Food is a mystery. I am hankering for one egg, beans and lentils with some shred cheese in microwave first. Let this part cool down and then take the whole thing out and chop up. I like the ground beef texture better. I will make a smaller amount of rice. Season up the airfryer with garlic and plant butter, toss the precooked rice, egg, bean lentil and cheese mix in and just stir around for a minute or two. Take out and find a good binder, probably a mayo, queso and plain yogurt. Small amounts of each. Will post if I made it or decided on something else to eat.
FOOD EDIT MEAL 1 It came together a little bit differently. Took a regular bowl, sprayed with non stick spray, cracked in 2 eggs and whisked a bit. Took leftovers of a veggie stir fry, put in some beans and canned lentils as well, stirred again. Put some butter and added sour cream dry seasoning, taco seasoning and garlic butter seasoning. Put in microwave for 5 mins 30 seconds. Let cool, cut up the mix, binders used where garlic parm mayo, bacon caesar dressing and a bit of queso. Mixed together and it was delicious.
Hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all. Posting any other meals that could be interesting.

@tanya_djamila I believe it is end of April. Yes I am glad I got them done, that is for sure.
Temps are down quite a bit so did shut off fans and windows in bedroom and bathroom. Will wear some warmer clothes, I don't wait outside for the ride, I get a phone call once arrived. If successful on the short trip and less money paid, will do this more often. Be nice to wig up and put a bit of makeup.
I also slept well last night even though should have shut the window, when I woke to pee, shut the window and added a blanket to the mix, dozed a bit and then got up.
Whatever I do at the mall will probably be to assess IF I need or want some things from walmart. No canned items, too heavy to cart around and figure out the timing. May also go into the McDonalds in the Walmart and buy some stuff for the second meal of my day. I will see about this. My budget is around 25 bucks I think between groceries or fast food. Based on arrival and pickup time, might have about an hour total but I do not mind that at all, just need to listen for the phone to advise me when a ride is arriving and not doing a full shop. ON Wed, if I have to wait for a ride, can walk around the hospital if done before. Usually give 3 hours from pick up to drop off post Herceptin.
I do have some laundry, run the disinfect cycle first with the lysol. Ava had a couple of ingrown toenails that I had to cut and remove and so beyond regular dirt, there was a bit of blood, keeping closer eye on the carts. She absolutely hated it, but now letting her get overly ingrown. Made her feel better with a snack. Both cats are resistant to trimming so lucky if I manage one or two. Oh well. Post disinfect cycle, putting regular laundry in.
Not sure about food this morning. Thinking a more simple meal. Either a chicken or beef pot pie, the bigger ones, microwave with some bean and lentil on the side as well, make it nutritious, 700 W microwave means 2 min addition to any cooking time listed on package. I am also checking out a beef and broccoli bowl, vegan but has lots of vitamins. The beefless ground stuff is 11 bucks is expensive too. Thinking of splitting in two, keep another half to add stuff too. Also debating dried green lentils and dried beans. I will see, as said, need to be able to carry everything. If I wind up getting Mc D, depending on the price, there is a large chance of deconstructing a burger to use in other stuff as well. I am also using my plain yogurt in dishes to tone down spicy stuff I may add. I will see, might pick up the smaller low sugar stuff. Also debating tossing some chocolate bars I no longer eat. They are very old and I do not want them.
EDIT Meal one is a beef pie, medium size, they are cheap from Walmart, occasionally dip below 2 dollars. I putting in microwave with my black bean and canned lentils mix, just a spoonful. When it is done, break it apart and sort of mix both. The bigger pot pies are good as they have some veggies of their own. Once meat pie broken down, I will add some bacon caesar dressing, a bit of garlic parm mayo and dash of salt, don't think it needs other strong flavours.
EDIT 2 The meal was delicious. I decided to add various dry spices, butter steak seasoning, sour cream and onion, garlic butter and finally bacon and maple. I took small amounts of each so that one did not takeover. I did add a small amount of caesar dressing and a bit of caesar dressing. Could have used more salt but overall, a wonderful dish that I enjoyed.
EDIT 3 Food I am thinking that at dinner, could use some of the salad I bought at walmart, perhaps crisp the beans and lentils in air fryer, should get maybe 5 or so different ways to use up the salad.
I should be home before 4pm. If this works, the short trip 90 mins or less, lets me get a round trip with a free transfer, ie 2.65 total vs 5.30. If works for me easily, may book more trips. Just to have a reason to shave my beard, thank you menopause, put makeup and a wig on as well. I still have free rides on regular bus but they don't pick me up from home or call my phone when they are arriving making it unnecessary to wait outside. Paratransit has really spoiled me I have to say. Also appreciate the lift they use since the stairs suck so bad.
I hope everyone has a great day, in pockets for everyone, good and bad. The good is just to peek out to see what others are doing on a particular day. I will post more about my trip, if it worked to give a transfer to only pay for one ride and what I did or bought.
EDIT 4 The transfer and short trip allowed me to pay 2.65 roundtrip. I stayed on budget, Dollarama chocolate, not too much and some Tostitos queso, cheaper there than at Walmart and a large salad, mediterranean variety. Plan to use some now and the protein for it will be if there is chicken leftover in fridge, will add to this later.
3 -
Had a nice sleep. Getting warmer again this week, nothing crazy but I am glad for some sun. Debating a trip on Friday with Paratransit, unsure where to go or if just a walk around the mall. I did get a cute carry over bag from the dollar store, was 5 bucks, not too big but would be good to have in case I bought anything. Format would be similar as yesterday, just do a circle around the mall, make sure trip is 90 minutes as well. Mall walk basically and if I need anything at Walmart for groceries, that would be fine. I did find myself a slow walker but no feelings like I would fall or anything which is good. Got a bit winded but plenty of places to sit, even in Walmart that allowed me to wait for the ride home.I did enjoy the salad and leftover canned chicken yesterday, used the salad pack I purchased yesterday, forgot yogurt though, perhaps could be purchased Friday. I will see. Planning on booking same timeframe as well.
EDIT I did book the ride already, just have to wait for it to confirm on my phone, be called when rides arrive is a great feature. I am already confirmed for a trip Friday, same time etc as well. Looking for yogurt at that time.
Laundry, floors and dusting will be done. Not sure about food, I have greens for salad which I plan to use up, ate up my can of chicken. I screwed up the lentils and beans which I was going to add to the greens. I set microwave for 10 mins, not sure exactly why. Needless to say they were burned badly and inedible. I will use the air fryer instead, heat for 5 mins and give a stir. Thinking of crushing a few of the doritos I got yesterday for extra flavour. Garlic Parm is really very good. Not sure yet for my meals. I could keep it simple and microwave up a meat pie with the beans and lentils on the side. I will see. I am also wondering about taking Paratransit to a restaurant of choice like Mcdonalds or Harvey's burger joint, realizing it is cheaper to pay 2.65 to get there. Not sure yet.
I found some frozen mini pizzas in the freezer that really should be used up and found a beefless ground as was clearing some stuff from the freezer, need to make room for the diced hashbrowns. I am making one as we speak. Put a bit of lentil and bean on, little cheese and baking in the breville for about 11 mins.
I cancelled all streaming channels except for youtube and disneyplus since I am a fan of star wars, marvel and the show 24 among other things. I like having young and the restless a day ahead of US but did not find that to be worth the 14.99 I was paying and was not watching the shows on the other channels. Plenty of free options or could simply stream off my vpn and that does cost anything. Watch next day young and restless.
EDIT Put together a grocery delivery on a few things I am running low on, diced hash browns, a lot of bean and beef burritos that I like that are cheap as well and some plain yogurt that has been known to wind up in a savoury dish. I did not spend the minimum because I would rather use that 7.97 to save a bit. It is still free delivery and coming between 3pm and 5pm. Added couple thing and if all come, will be 38.00 vs 60 to 70 if spending minimal amount. So when walking the mall, going to bypass Walmart and visit Dollarama. Budget looking to be 10 bucks.
I hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all.

@mara51506 Sounds like you had a good day yesterday and that taking paratransit to the mall worked well. These paratransit trips might give you a nice routine now that the weather is pleasant.
1 -
@chicagoan You are right about that, today is my Herceptin treatment trip but I did book another trip to the mall for a quick walkabout and possible shop. Budget Friday will be closer to 10 to 15 dollars.
I slept well. Doing up some laundry but will also do up some pants and undies in quick cycles. I want to wear those.
Figuring out food before I leave today, thinking I could make stuff that includes queso, plain yogurt as the binding and heat up beans and the beefless ground beef with cheese. Could be done in the air fryer or microwave. I may also grab some of the salad that I bought in last couple of days. Option 2 is one of the beef and bean burritos, heat that in the microwave, cut it up and add a salad to it. I realize queso and yogurt could be watered down a bit to take on the form of salad dressing. I will see, I know I want to be finished eating before 12pm. I will be fed some cheese and ginger ale during treatment. Not sure yet what I want or need to include. Post later.
MEAL 1 Decided to heat up a burrito, 3mins in my 700 W microwave, that came out perfect. I am making two hashbrown patties in the air fryer, no need to flip since I put the floor with holes so heat came up from both sides. Took just under a 1/4 cup rice and the same size of the beans and lentils. Beans, lentils and rice done on the stove with same amount of water as lentils, beans and rice.We will see how these different things work together. I want to finish eating by 12pm which should not be a problem. Added some sour cream and onion with garlic butter seasoning. Once out and cool, cut up burrito first, dumped the rice, lentils and beans then dumped the air fryer hashbrowns and cut those up. Binders included some sour cream and lime, queso and a minor amount of garlic parm. I must say it was delicious. I was careful not to overload on ingredients or binders which is why it had less than a 1/4 cup of lentils, beans and rice, more like 1/6 if I was guessing and the binders were small amounts too.
I need to put a wig and make up on, washed up clothes worn yesterday, easier than choosing but still very clean. Then I can decide what I need to take with me as far as charger for phones, take 2, one has the internet, other has plain music. I will see.
I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.

Hi to Mara and all the lovely ladies. Hope that each one of you is finding peace and pain free (as much as possible) days.
@tanya_djamila I am sorry to hear your GD has MD. It is an insidious disease. Our young people shouldn't still be struck by this disease. Fundraising from Jerry Lewis MDA marathons helped for research. But with his passing, I don't know that any one person or group has raised the kind of funds his telethon did. I wish nothing but the best for your sweet GD.
April 30th my DH and I will head to see my family. It's been awhile and all 4 of us (2 brothers and 2 sisters) are getting up in age. My sis is quite ill and I worry what tomorrow might bring. We had planned to go home for Christmas, but cancelled due to my health (pneumonia).
The weather here is gorgeous. Did some garden work and even bought a jasmine plant. I'm suspicious it's not night blooming jasmine that I had asked for, as it's blooming daytime and no sweet fragrance. The ibirnium (sp?) is starting to bloom and boy does that have a fragrant smell. Three areas where I planted pumpkin seeds have gifted us with the beginnings of vines. Babysitting Winky, the bearded dragon. She is loving the weather, too.
Not feeling quite well . MS or the moth eaten bones are giving me a great deal of pain. I don't feel my pain management is working very well. I believe I am at maximum dosage of gabapentin for MS related symptoms. Guess it's time to either push for another eval for the lower back or up meds (which I hate to do). Can't really shake the anxiety which has become a problem of late. Hoping my trip will help and I see MO on Monday.
Happy April to all and I'm in your pocket for your scans and life in general.

@irishlove Happy to hear you're going to see your family, as I'm sure your sister is looking forward to it also! Hope you get some pain relief especially before traveling. Are you taking the train? Glad your weather has been better, enjoy!
All good here, taking Buster for his annual vet visit today and some errands. So glad he doesn't seem to mind the vet, I think he likes all the fussing he gets lol. Warmer day today, hope to soak up some sunshine before rain moves in over the weekend.
In everyone's pocket today , hope it's a relaxing day🤗
