Mae, you’re outside with turtles Fab! Hope the eating is improving?
Aww Mara... falling over is a trauma now esp with skint bits.... hope your confidence hasn’t taken too much of a bashing

Mara sorry to hear you fell. I think a 5 minute cry was about right. Really you walked and back packed supplies home, all things considered you’re extremely strong and motivated!

Thanks Tanya. I decided to move my step bench where the half step is so I will have no choice but to really lift my foot. I do that now outdoors but obviously don't do it inside. Luckily my face didn't hit the ground and so far my elbow was the only casualty. I will say I am quite relieved that I did not pass out and was able to get up easily. I just need to be careful as it is not due to balance. Gonna keep walking anyway.

Karen, no, I am not worried. I walk with what feels like a march outside so I will just do that inside too. I was just careless and did not life my food as I do normally.

I call it aware walking. I fell last year tripped over sidewalk ledge. I try to remember to march but sometimes I realized that I’m not doing it. Our bones are so fragile after all this treatment and so be careful.

Morning all.
Mara- Oh my !!! Glad to read you are ok but the elbow. Take care.
Well I am venturing out today--- groceries and pharmacy. Paring down my activities with all this COVID-19 stuff. No confirmed cases in our town, but I don't even know if we have test kits available (haven't got to ask anyone). I will wear my mask (have a stash from before the coronavirus scare), will wash down cart handles (have a stash of wipes too), and will scrub hands when get home. Doing the best I can. Have to continue doing some things. Then no plans for weekend. Staying home from church service. Next week I have MO appt for Lupron injection and port flush---have to do that.
In pocket for any with scans or treatments. Karen- today scan? Divine- scans soon? Mel- report of results?
I will be checking in here this weekend since home and will be lonely. Anyone around, say Hi.

Mara~you’re like me and need a John travolta bubble, like back in the seventies movie. For constant protection. I’m so sorry you fell again. I fall daily in ways but luckily it’s carpet. I’m un balanced. Clumsy per say. I hope you’re not too creaky after the fall!
Candy~ I’m off to get the results finally. Only a week later. I hate That crap. Makes me so angry they make us wait. I’m just hoping No news is good news. Thanks for caring. And asking.
Off to the oncology appointment! nice turtles Mae.
hi Karen and Tanya my dears0 -
Thanks everyone for the concern. I did not seriously hurt myself (lucky) and the step bench in front of the half step is working to make me step up. I always use right leg as never tripped with left leg. I do like the term aware walking because that is what I do outside all the time now. I do think overuse yesterday may have played a factor with a tired leg not lifting as high as I do not really do the almost march when just walking around the apartment but I will be more aware. May set up obstacle courses with things on the floor and force myself to step over obstacles.
I will not stop walking but obviously need to be vigilant with the right leg when walking anywhere. This will not stop me, I just need to factor in my walking issues when going out. I am strong, just need to be cautious. I also don't think it is cancer related as I have always been a trip and faller. Nowadays I just have more time to try and find solutions for problems.
Edited to add, yes the john travolta bubble would be perfect for me. I could shuffle all I want in that and still roll to my destination. Glad though that the falls are teaching me coping skills before it gets worse. Also glad that I was not more seriously hurt. Funny that tripping gets me yet I can walk easily through snow and ice.

Yes Candy, thanks for thinking about me..just back from scan. I’m now a challenge as my one good vein has been jabbed so often, and they need to rig me up for the contrast dye. Took 3 people to have go today and eventually the radiographer got it. They are very gentle and mindful though!
Mel hope results are what you were hoping for....

Hello Ladies~I just got back from my Oncology appointment and my scan came back stable with some areas shrinking. I’ll be staying on Ibrance for more time. Going on round #42 now. He told Me I am the longest patient he has on it and he’s thrilled. He was smiling ear to ear and he was so happy that I was stable. He reminded me to be careful with this sickness, but he said I’m Pretty strong and all my Blood work is all normal so I am still in the very limited disease category. I hope I can stay there forever. I’ll cope with Ibrance. Don’t want to change that. love to all that are scanning. Make room In your pocket for me! Love to all!

Oh my god, the panic from COVID 19 is getting crazy. You cannot buy toilet paper from any grocerry store here, the crowds are crazy and even amazon in canada is sold out of most. I am really glad handkerchiefs are my choice. I will start bringing them with me when I go out in case people steal them from stalls.
As a cancer patient I would understand some caution in crowds and small public spaces but the people here are going nuts. Does not help it is march break and all publicly funded schools will be closed 2 weeks after they are supposed to go back. I think it is a good idea in case people travel but our Health and even government is advising not to travel unless it is essential.

Hi Mel,
I am so happy for you. I love that you are stable....it means we will have our sister for a long time to come.
I will get scanned in April, and I’m hoping and praying for better results. I’ll let you know when that happens so I can ask for yummy treats in my pocket!

thank you all! It feels like an elephant off my shoulders.
I agree with Mara. People are acting. Nuts, I specifically asked my doctor about the risks. To me in particular. He said. You’re fine. You’re treatment isn’t as immunosuppressive as some of the heavy heavy chemos. He wasn’t even worried about it. He said take. Normal precaution, and don’t be an idiot. cough in public, or anything like that without our covering your cough or sneeze..if you know you’re sick stay home. He was not worried. It made me feel a little Better about this virus thing. Problem Is , it’s viral , which means not only can it live a long time outside a host, it just takes time to run its course. This could last for months. They say... scary shit. But doctors didn’t seem worried

Mel, I was able to get my staples delivered from Walmart which did not involve TP or bottled water. As long as I have queso and beans at least, I can wait it out. Plenty of frozen beef and chicken burgers as well. This girl is covered.

Mel, Congrats on the good news on your scan!

Unfortunately, I am not in the same place. I was told to stay home...no church, no supermarket, no shopping, no restaurants. I am in the highest risk category because of active chemo. I will probably go nuts staying in, but if that keeps me safe from this virus, then that’s what I’ll do.

Evening all.
Mel- Woohoo !!!! Stable for 42 cycles !!!!! Happy, happy for ya. Interesting how different MO's feel about Ibrance low counts. Good that your MO was calm and not too concerned. I see my MO March 30 for a check-in appointment. I will ask how she feels about COVID-19 and Ibrance, but, if she acts like she has been with the influenza concerns, she will probably be freaked out. She brings up my counts every time I see her. And she always says I need to be careful.
Well, I went shopping today. No biggie. Enough TP. Milk ok. Bread a little low, but I got my 1 loaf. Bottled water gone, but I drink tap water. Limited to 4 cans of each variety of canned goods, but that was ok by me. I got everything on my list. Wore my mask, like always. Wiped down cart, like always. And scrubbed hands as soon as walking in my door at home. Hopefully all will be ok.
Heard that our President called for declaration of National Disaster to free up Federal funds to help fight this. And my Governor is closing all state public schools K-12 for 2 weeks. Kinda freaky. I do think there are more positive cases than we think since we don't have enough test kits to test people. If we get more kits, I think we will see the numbers rise a lot. Freaky.
I will be checking in this weekend- staying home.
Virtual Hugs (cannot infect that way, hahaha)

BooBoo~Then please stay home. I wouldn’t want to have you take a chance. Watch who comes inside also. Carriers. I saw a news program today that said it can live airborn for 9 hours in the air and 3 hours on the surface. Doesn’t sound like it’s going away anytime soon.
thank you Simone!!!!!!!
Remember the swine flu? We just stopped hearing about it. I hope this is the same. Love to all!

Candy~ I think every doctor feels differently. My bloodwork is always good thank god. But. I only breathe on one lung. Which I thought would be a bad thing. He was like. Ehh keep washing those hands.

congratulations Mel!!!!! 🤗🤗🌸🌸🌸🤗🤗🌸🌸🤗🌸🌸🤗🤗🤗🌸🌸🤗🤗🌸🌸🌸🤗🤗🌸
Such beautiful news to receive!!! I’m dancing around my apartment for ya!! 💃🏿 💃🏿!!
I can’t tell if doctors are being too blasé about all this COVID19 stuff or not????
I have very intelligent people with masters, PhDs and MDs and all types of education telling me (outside from my doctors) that this is very very serious and begging me to stop working for at least two weeks. Freaking me out so much!
Okay I am going to hopefully fall asleep soon. I am clearly in a heightened alert mode here. Time to meditate!
Love,
Philly

So much fun to get!!!! One thing was a weighted gravity sleep mask. Oh my word It blocks out sun light and places gentle pressure on your points near your eyes to promote relaxation. I am in love with it! The cocoon mask smells heavenly You use it before sleep and the scent pulls you into relaxing . I'm in awe!!!!
