Chelle~ Hi beautiful! I do not think my house has ever even been that clean. lol you're a decorating masterpiece!that living room looks amazing. The way the lights reflect off of the ceiling is truly beautiful! I have a village also but I didn't put it up this year. We just tried to keep it as easy as possible for everyone. For some reason, my one dog thinks villagers are treats and once he finds out that they aren't, then they have been massacred!! Those pictures of your puppies are darlings. I just want to hug them all!! Precious how he sleeps in his room. That is so sweet and loving ! Love the wood floors and the colors of the decorations. I have carpet, I have had a tendency before to always being cold ! Horn flashes have gotten better. (I am going to leave horn flashes there for a laugh, god knows we don't have that happen too much anymore) One come and goes. On and off about two times a day versus. Twelve times a day. Big improvement! Maybe now I can have hardwood! DH also loves them! I have missed you and I am soooo glad to see your beautiful self here! The other pic with the living room semi imposed on the other pic is freaky cool looking! Don't think you could do that again if you tried to lol much love ! ~M~

German shepherds are the best dogs. We had 2 before we came to Spain. Sad thing is they only live usually around 12 years. Our last one Max died in his sleep, what a nice way to go. I cried for days. He wasn't a biter, but the first one loved to run after people and pull them to the ground - not a good idea, the neighbours didn't like that!! No dogs here in Spain, our house is not big enough, and summer temps of 95 ish for more than 2 months is not kind. Off out for a curry tonight, Indian food in Spain. X

Gran- what did you get for a phone, I just got a Note 8 LOVE it!
Went to Star Wars with DH yesterday, I remember going to last one right after being diagnosed Stage 4 and worrying I wouldn't be around to see this one, really didn't worry about seeing the next one, I plan on being around a long time (esp because we need to pay off this new phone1)0 -
I bought my DSIL's 6+, it's so much bigger and better than my old 5c, I'm happy. He got a 10!!!
My favorite breed of dog is German Shepherd. It all started when I bought my first one at age 20. I was single and he was my best friend. Since that that first one, my family all fell in love and there have been at least forty shepherds since then. My brother and my parents bred them for awhile. My brother still has one. Bob and I had three. I would get a puppy in a heartbeat if I thought I had the energy, a good enough fence and the physical strength to train him. Living alone, I sure wouldn't have to worry about a security system. Their bark is the best alarm.
I guess I'll keep pondering that decision. Meanwhile, I'm happy with my beautiful cat.

Minnie~My Shepard was exactly like that. I think that they are there to love their family and protect! They are the best dogs I agree. I still miss my Shep! She followed me every where! Ahhh memories of when I didn't have cancer. I went to sleep around 1100pm. I can't fall asleep earlier, I woke up to feed the dogs and went right down to sleep again until 1140. Crazy! The worst is I can still go back to sleep. I have wrapping to do! I feel I like just doing my daily least is like trudging through thick syrup.......and on we go!! Hugs ~M~

Grannax~I am allergic to cats and didn't know even know it back in the seventies! Not a lot of testing back then. But I had three and I loved them. They are good company and certainly lap dogs in their hearts. I adore shepards. They are the cutest puppies and so fluffy sweet! I haven't had a year in my life where there wasn't a dog in it. I find them therapeutic! Have a great Sunday beautiful! Much love ~M~

.......this was in Maryland at the Washington DC lights festival drive by. You drive through so many lights and displays it blows your eyes. So beautiful. Made me feel like I am alive to see another Christmas! I was a little overwhelmed......such beauty and such horror in one feeling. Only you ladies can understand the fear and joy that can be felt simultaneously! It's sometimes torture, by the end of the ride I had my entire family crying. We had a group hug in the car. It was magical! Life can be magical when you are with those who mean everything to you! ~M~

Thank you all for posting such wonderful photos. They are beautiful.
I am doing the happy dance for everyone who has good news. The big C forgot who it was messing with when it picked us.
Puppies! I adore dogs. In fact my black sweats are covered today in puppy love. Just need go get up and vacuum again.

Great pics, you guys really go all out decorating.
Chelle, my grandmother had a farm cat named Mitzi, she and my grandfather were old world Hungarians who moved from Manhattan to update NY, very Green Acres, lol.
One of my planned stops on my vacation to see an old friend from elementary and middle school is now cancelled. We were making plans on Sunday but she passed away yesterday, only a week after her 43rd birthday. It’s sad but not entirely unexpected, she had heart failure due to years of drug abuse, still I thought she had a few more months.
Got a pot roast in th crockpot for tonight but nothing to watch, I think a movie, a comedy, in light of recent events.

Mae~ I am so very sorry for the loss of your friend. I wish she could have held on at least for your visit. Life is so fleeting and I am sorry that sometimes decisions we make in our earlier in our life, come back and haunt our bodies later. My sister was the same way. I can't even imagine what went into her body, and here I am running miles and lifting weights, drinking water. I mean I don't drink! Don't smoke cigarettes, Never really have! I guess our bodies can only handle so much. I hope that she will Rest In Peace and it won't ruin your travel plans too much. Hugs ~M~

NO1~well said!! I wish cancer would disappear from the planet and world honestly. I know we all do. Someone said to me yesterday. Someone who I used to think of as a friend. Well she said oh just tell yourself you don't have cancer anymore! I said ok I'll try that. Should I say that before or after I take the 19 pills a day that I have to take ? I start round #14 tonight of ibrance. I can't tell if I feel more energy on it than off of it. I just hope it works for many of a ten years! Hugs to all ~M~

Grannax...good news and a scary time all at once. Sounds like a roller coaster so I'm glad and I'm sorry all at once. I hope your daughter's procedure goes well and she recovers quickly but it certainly sounds very serious and that it's good a plan for her to find a different neurosurgeon. You need all our prayers and love at the moment to get through this and I'm sending mine your way.
Minnie31..... isn't constipation just awful! I'd never experienced anything like it till after my BMX and all the painkillers, Oxycodone being the worst one for it. I guess you know about Movicol? I take some every night because I'm on Targin and, despite the extra ingredient that's supposed to overcome the constipating effect of Oxycodone I still need Movicol. Not a great subject but we've all been there.
I'm glad you all liked the poster.
Micmel it's summer in Australia and where I live never gets cold enough for snow. I found your photo fascinating. I had to travel to the mountains in the east of Australia years ago to experience snow.
Love and hugs to everyone.

I adore shepards as well. I have to admit I'm partial on st Bernard's no as well! . Here ismy most recent pic of the baby. With his daddy holding him. My DSs best friend! Love them both actually! So happy about AL puppers! Hugs and much ~M~

Leapfrog~Hi Honey!! I am glad someone can appreciate the snow pics lol I hate snow. It looks pretty until someone goes trudging through it or dogs get to it! But I always love and notice the quiet blanket it lays all over the land. It's like a certain quieted muffled sounds are limited to no echo. It's quite cool. I hope your garden is magnificent! Can't wait for some snap shots!
Grannax~ your DD is on my mind as well.
Chelle~I mailed you a card for Christmas and another note to thank for being my friend.
I don't think you all realize how much I have come to depend in a wonderful way, reading your thoughts and feelings and even struggles. So we can go through it together. Honestly, what more could we ask for, except all being neighbors of course. That would be priceless. Helping one another, friendship with misery loves company can Be a pretty strong bond. Even over the miles.....as we are seeing here. Each and every one of you make me smile and make me feel lucky you're all here with me. I don't want go through this alone, if I could ammend the name of the thread I would add, "My friends" to honor the wonderful group of friends that we all have here! lol you have all helped this thread be this success and atmosphere it is. I adore each and everyone of you. I'm thankful to be alive. Even with cancer. Gotta keep fighting friends, so we can see many more 🎄 Christmas 🎄 times with our loved ones and ......each other.

Hi Gals!
So loving everyone's photos! Want to come to your homes and have tea and get to know you. I grew up with cats and dogs as pets, but husband #1 was allergic, and DH was lowest on the totem pole with his 1st wifes' pets. i have become accustomed to living without them, but miss them.
Grannax, my parents had a "cut down" oak coffee table just like yours! My sister has it now. So many memories around that table! Coloring, eating Christmas breakfast by the tree!
Claudia! Thank heavens for your stability! One thousand Hallejulahs!
Mae, so sad about your childhood friend. Could have easily been my daughter, but she made it out, thank the powers that be. Enjoy what sounds like a lovely trip. Safe travels!
I have had some interesting and encouraging news. Results of my genomic testing showed that I have an "actionable mutation". This is a Tier II class, which means there are currently no FDA approved drugs against the mutation. However there is a drug being tested in clinical trials that targets my particular mutation. My MO is really enthused and pleased. And, there is a trial in Portland,Me. 30 minutes away! So this will likely be my next treatment, either after Fulvestant or with. Very promising. I am convinced that there will be more and more targeted treatment available for all of us!
Micmel- with bone mets only, you are going to stable for years! And yes, the Ibrance made me sooooo tired! But worth the price of admission! and I also felt like I was slugging through jello most days.
Had a family party with our three DD and two grandchildren last night! So nice! Everybody brought food. We had Zuppa Toscana soup, cheeseburger sliders, baked brie, fresh fruit salad, gingerbread cupcakes and cranberry prosecco! Yum.
To everyone, you are in my heart as we live with despicable disease. i admire your strength, wisdom, humor and courage! LOVE MJH

MJH. Yes, the cut down oak table is a priceless treasure in our family. It was the kids table for Christmas dinner when my kids were little. My dad actually made it back in the forties. I love it there with my grandmother's furniture. It all looks right a home with my old fashioned tree.
I think i will get my genomic testing back in January. I wonder what it will reveal. I haven't had progression yet, but i think it will be a useful tool when I do. Actually, when i go to MO on January 11, I will get the results of my PET. My last one was over six months ago, so I'm kinda scared. I do think it's good to be prepared with options for treatment.
I went to my first Christmas party yesterday. It is the one I celebrate with long time best friends. We met 42 years ago. Weve gone from 7 to 22 during that time adding more kids and now 9 grandkids between us. We dress the kids in matching Christmas pj's each year. Now we have ages 17 to 2 months, quite a challenge. I'll post a pic of my granddaughter holding the baby.

Holy cow micmel, how big is that boy going to get?!!
I fly out on Saturday 12/23, I’ve already practice packed to make sure my carry on is within the size/weight requirements. I’m such a planner, lol

MJH~ Hi there! I have always wanted to use snow shoes. I would most likely break my neck trying to learn to even move one step! Those are beautiful! Country feel to it. I wasn't even into decorating this year, just too tired. But I am glad we did. Now comes the crappy part soon of taking it all down. Yuck! Boring. I am also not a very big fan of January. My son was born Jan 31 but other than that. It's crap! I was diagnosed Jan 22 2015, and then all of a sudden everything just stopped and changed. Can't go back now. Miss my old self a lot. That woman was strong real strong.! I am sending thoughts of happiness and continued strength for your daughter! Love is a strong tool! Maybe if people used it more, there would be so much more happiness in the world! Have a pain free happy day my friend! Much love ~M~

Grannax~My heart is melting with joy for you. I cannot believe how sweet that picture is. I'm so happy for you! That beautiful smile of that precious granddaughter is warming my heart, and all I want to do is snuggle that little blue bundle of joy! Nothing like baby smells and their little noises. Which sometimes can be quite loud lol if I remember correctly. Lol thank you so so very much for sharing that precious moment and picture with us all. It's more than special, it's your life. And we love that you shared such joy with all of us. 🤗🤗💕 much love ~M~
