Blueshine-How wonderful expecting another grandchild! What a blessing!
Micmel-My cold is gone. Not sure if it was the antibiotics or it just ran it's course. I'm just glad it's out of here. Beautiful picture from Washington!
Currently it's 28 degrees and snowing big fat flakes. They say we should get no more than an inch. Hopefully, they're right. Tomorrow we are suppose to have a "heat wave", 38-48, bring out the bathing suits! Hopefully, it will melt some of the ice in my driveway and walkway! I'm feeling ok so far. Got dizzy when I got up an hour ago. Sat right down. Tried again, and made it to the kitchen to get something to eat. And so it begins. This will last for a few days, and the rest of those chemo after effects. It always starts the day after my last after steroids, which was yesterday. The new fridge is a beauty, just hate that they are so expensive. It's dark stainless (our other appliances are black, so it matches, we'll change them up as they die). It has the double doors on the top and on the bottom (where the freezer is), and their are shelves for the freezer. You can even make the right side of the freezer a refrigerator, which we probably do for Christmas, since we are hosting both Christmas eve and Christmas day this year.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy HEALTHY New Year!
Lynne

Love all of the pictures! They make me feel like you are all true friends! This thread is moving so fast that I can hardly keep up! I am taking delivery of Anastasia on Thursday, December 28. We thought that would be best for her, rather than bringing her here, only to drag her to NC a week later. Too much trauma for a young pup! We cancelled our New Year campout to allow her lots of time to settle in with us. Grannax, you have so much going on right now. I am praying all goes well with your Dd. Thank you for sharing your family with us! Our tree is still not decorated, that's why I haven't posted any pictures.
Unfortunately, even with the great scan news last week, the fear of the MRI showing brain mets, or a possible stroke put me in a very dark place. I am getting back to my happy place now. We will be with our Ds, Dil and grandsons by Friday night. I can't wait! Guaranteed ridiculous smiles, lots of laughter and love!!
Last night, we got together with friends and went to dinner at a great restaurant in St Augustine! We had dinner on their outdoor patio. Surrounded by lights. It was 75 here yesterday. In case you don't know, St Augustine was named one of the top 10 best places to see Christmas lights. In fact, I believe they came in first or second place! We took some pictures to share the beauty of this with you. I hope you enjoy them.
Thank you to everyone for sharing your family, pictures and news with us! For better or worse, we are in this together and that support is priceless!
Hugs and prayers,
Claudia

Lynne(Man)~nothing like a crisp new fridge. I would love a new one, but my old kenmore, is kicking some major rear end thank goodness. Knock on wood! I am glad the cold is history! I am sorry you're feeling the dizziness effects from those steroids. I am allergic to them. I'm not sure if that's good or bad! You better rest up for this weekend my friend. I will be worrying that we will all over due it. I spent the afternoon wrapping again and was at the post office by 930am which is a big deal to me. It was jam packed. Ugh! Talk about a long line! Yuck! But it's done now. $27 later. Please rest up and feel better. Nice to see you here as always! Hugs, much love ~M~ Be careful when you are near that ice please !!! Scares me.

Lynnwood~ hello beautiful! I think I honestly am the only person who cannot rock a Christmas hat. I don't know what it is, but it's obvious you can!!! I love the festive feeling of the decorations and the sweaters of your family. Your son is adorable and so is his precious girlfriend! What a cute couple. Your momma so tiny and sweet. Reminds me of my aunt. Such a sweet sweet smile. Someone you want to just hug! It looks like a great get together, I can't believe it's already Christmas 🎄! I love seeing all of your families and beautiful pictures of you! My friends ! It's so totally adorable that your cat is in that basket. lol that is funny! They do like to have their own little caves! I used to love my cats. Shame they don't live as long as people do. The brown kitty looks pretty darn comphy just like I feel now. Lol and the black cat looks like a big guy! And just like my cat when I was little, his name was lucky and he was a great cat!! I loved him. You're decorations are wonderful in your home and the fireplace hearth looks professionally done !!! Thanks so much for sharing with us. But this is the perfect thread for it. After all family and love is what it's all about. ❤️ To all of your family. Precious pics. Much love ~M~

Good afternoon all,
My laptop is on the fritz. Won't open up keeps saying its updating. I read the posts on my phone - through e-mail but I don't like to write on the phone it's annoying. Too small I guess.
First and foremost N01 great great great great great news!!!! OMG that is like unbelievable and wonderful. Xeloda kicked major cancer butt!
MJH that gingerbread house is fabulous. I'm ecstatic to hear about your DD triumph over addiction. We've had addiction in our family from soup to nuts over the years and its horrendous.
Gracie M Hoozah for those two faslodex shots down. Now just get ready for great results.
Lynne 5 degrees - ugh. I wouldn't want to go out. That frigid weather is one of the reasons we moved out of NY. My DD is still upstate freezing, shoveling, repeat.
Mae you look young and beautiful in your red plaid. I hope you had fun on your outing.
Micmel your pictures are beautiful. I wish you were there - DC with your DH. That gym lady sucks. I have a friend who curses like a sailor/truck driver. It's moments like your gym lady that I'd like her by my side so she could say all the appropriate things and I could smile politely and say have a good day.
Have a wonderful day all. I wish I had a pill that we could take that would return us to normal BC (before cancer selves).
Sorry if I left anyone out. It's hard to scroll back and catch it all.

Claudia~that makes total sense about Anastasia! I didn't realize going to NC was going to be happening that fast! Wow, you're amazing! Those lights seems to be in a huge area. Is the entire town in lights? I would enjoy dinner surrounded by lights. But I don't like being cold anymore. And you do not look pregnant silly. You're beautiful! Honestly beautiful! I don't think one woman on this thread isn't beautiful. I love your hair. I want my hair back long. If it wasnt curly it would be getting some length to it! Your friends look like nice people! I hope you had a good time!
I can't believe how well the thread is doing, but it makes me very happy! Thank you to each everyone of you for sharing and making it like a family ! Much love! ~M~

Tanya~Hi there darling~ I had to scroll a little myself to find you!! Nice to see you here! I would really like some warmer weather myself. I have never been to Florida, I agree with you about my gym friend. She was always flaky anyway. But to actually say, just tell yourself you just don't have cancer! That's crazy town! Hope you're feeling well! Sending hugs and good thoughts to you! Much love ~M~

Micmel, thank you for your kind words! The pictures were taken at my brothers house, it is so beautiful. We get together at his house before Christmas and my house on Christmas. My Mom is 80 years old. My brother and I both live within 5 minutes of her which is good because she lives alone. She has a life alert also for any emergencies. She has poor short term memory, I'm glad she doesn't cook or drive. My kitties are all from rescues, such good company for me since I'm alone most of the day. The black one is very big and always squeezes herself into that little bed. She was rescued from a drug addicts home. The black and white one was rescued from a junkyard and she loves that basket! I put it out just for her every year. The brown one was rescued off of the streets , we just got her in September from the rescue I was volunteering at. She would be laying in a cage lined with newspaper...not anymore! She loves her new blanket! I love seeing everyone's pictures! This group has been such a blessing to me, always welcoming and no judgements. Thanks to you Micmel for setting the tone. I have not felt as comfortable on other threads. I'm not much of a poster but read every day.

Lynnwood. One of your cats looks like mine. I'll try to post a pic of him. Mine is also a rescue. He's called a lynx point Siamese. The mother was a tabby and the father, evidently, was a Siamese. He has beautiful blue eyes. Does yours? He's my buddy.
Bigbhome How did you get all that stuff done so fast to be able to move already? It would have taken me a year.
My DD had to go to the ER last night for pain relief. She will see two of her docs tomorrow to discuss what type of resolution might be available for the clogged shunt. All this right before Christmas is disconcerting. I just hope the docs will agree on something that will help her.

Yup, should be fun, we’ll be traveling for about a week and have been invited to the beach house of one of the tour musicians on Christmas Day, not sure if Todd and the whole band will be there or not but I’m told seafood is on the menu. Seafood and a beach house, yes please!

Grannax~I am sending out good thoughts and vibes for your daughter , enough is enough. I hope they have a solution to give her that will give her permanent relief. We should put coal in those doctors stockings, everything is always about waiting and waiting some more. I realize being sick is not only difficult to go through at home, but to be constantly going to apppointments really got old for me. I know you all know what I mean. I hope against hope they snap into action and get that taken care of. No one should have to be in such pain! We are thinking of you both Grannax! Would love to see your picture of the kitty cat that looks like lynnewoods. It's interesting the sphinx siamese angle. I had a Siamese cat when I was young and he wasn't very nice! He scratched a lot. Hugs to you strong woman
And ladies! Much love ~M~

Mae~Is there room in your suitcase for me? lol I enjoy Todd Rundgrin, that's so cool. You can be our reporter on the go! Reporting in state to state. Lol Micmel and friends back on the road. But I'll admit the beachfront house and the seafood sold me ! Much love ~M~

Grannax ~that little cutie looks like he or she wants to get into some mischief! What an adorable cat. It does look like a sphinx. That's awesome. I love those defining black stripes on the far head! I wouldn't mind snuggling that lil guy. I am a little concerned because my son has a high fever and some wicked body aches. I don't want to abandon him when he's sick. But I can't get sick. I'm worried it should the flu. Terrible timing like you said Grannax....but I am sending out strong thoughts and vibes to your DD. Many. I Am happy you figured out how to post! Much love to all! ~M~

Grannax, they really do look alike! My baby has pretty green eyes though. I'm not sure what breed she is. They estimate her to be about 2 years old.

Lynnwood~What is the name of that little guy? Beautiful green eyes! I was just wondering how old the kitty was. It has been so long, since I've owned a cat....how long does a cats life average? I just dread the thought of anything happening to my doggies! They certainly become like one of your children! Good night ladies! Much love ~M~ I love the fact that you saved some cats! No more news paper for those kitties, forever home time!
Thank you so very much for saying that this thread has been good for you! That means so so much to me. I made this thread for the same reason. I never felt anyone ever answered me and I am sick of always talking about medicines and side effects. We can always talk about that. We all know about them. If there are things someone needs to know about medicines and the side effects, they will go and read that thread, post if they would like, but here, I wanted friends, I wanted a place to be alive, to laugh and smile, and see actual proof, that happiness does happen, and we live good!!!even at stage four. WE have created something very special here, but please remember, it wouldn't be this way, with out all you sweet precious ladies, who I consider my friends and distant family even!
If ever any of you are in northeast Pa, please let me know! I would love to see and meet you. I even have a pretty nice guest room 🤗💋💕! Love to all!
