I just found this thread...and I'm so glad! I was one of those goofballs that used the word "Journey." I remember reading someone thought it was a stupid word. I thought about it...and decided, "Ok...I'll quit using it if it's obnoxious." Well, now it totally makes sense why it's stupid. Thank you for making it so clear, Lita :-). I didn't plan it, I didn't make reservations, and I certainly didn't save up $ for it!!! I so like Deanna's thought of better news than expected on your MRI....Love & Hugs...Ronnie

Very few people can say they have have positively influenced the lives of so many others and made the world a better place. Dear Lita, you have. May the love of family, friends and the members of this site comfort and surround you. The grace with which you have faced this beast and your challenges is truly commendable.

Contacted MO cuz blind spot and dizziness getting really bad again. It's been just about 2 mos since brain WBR, and even tho they usually like to wait 2-3 mos after WBR to do another scan, MO has ok'd a follow up MRI sooner.

The lab should be contacting me next week.

MO is not happy about this recent turn of events with my returning symptoms, and neither am I.

I hope they can do something about it. I know they can't re-do the WBR, but hopefully they can do gamma or cyber knife.

This brain crap is really affecting my quality of life. I can barely walk across the damn floor, I'm so light-headed, and the blind spot is getting bigger and bigger, making it hard to read, type and even watch TV!!! I'm also having weakness in my legs.

If this keeps us, the holidays will be really crappy.

Hoping for some relief for you Lita! Praying for wisdom and guidance for your medical team. I’m sure the dizziness and blind spot are a pain in the a**. Gamma or cyber knife sounds like a good idea. I’m so glad you posted even though you feel so bad. You have a great team her to support you. Peace Heart

lita, thank you for keeping us posted. I’m sorry about the dizziness and blind spot. I wish there was more I could do than just ‘thoughts and prayers’. I hope you are able to enjoy thanksgiving with your lovely family. I will give thanks for the team taking care of you and hope new avenues open up to get you comfortable through the holidays.

Lila, I'm no medical professional but have you tried putting a patch over your bad eye (hopefully it is just one). That might help you see better and even help with the dizziness as your brain isn't trying to process that information. I'm sure you have tried everything. I'm just throwing it out there. My sister has had multiple eye surgeries for Graves' disease. The patching seemed to help her after her surgeries.

Lita, sorry to hear your symptoms are returning/worsening.  Just a suggestion, if you have an Apple Ipod, you can listen to books on it.  I enjoy that for long car trips.
