BREAKING: Trump gets BRUTAL news as Michigan’s Attorney General tells a judge that she and the Secretary of State “stand ready” to ban Trump from the ballot in 2024 for inciting the January 6 insurrection if the judge gives them the green light.

But it gets WORSE for Trump…

The Attorney General didn’t mince words, telling the the judge, “Your Honor, the Secretary takes her role as the state's Chief Elections Officer very seriously, and it is her duty to ensure that Michigan elections are conducted in accordance with the laws of the state and in a manner that preserves the integrity of that process. To be clear, the Secretary of State stands ready to comply with whatever order this court issues in relation to the former president's eligibility to appear on the ballot."

This is brutal news for Trump because, while the Secretary of State has tried to remain publicly neutral, the fact that she just sent her Attorney General to tell the judge that she “stands ready” to ban Trump from the ballot is a clear indication that she has already put everything in place to punish Trump for inciting the insurrection in order to steal Biden’s win.

Adding insult to injury for Donald Trump, the judge announced at the end of the hearing that she has heard enough incriminating evidence against Trump — and is ready to make her ruling as to whether he should be banned from the ballot in the “next few days.”

It Doesn't Matter If Joe Manchin Runs For President

Joe Manchin retired from the Senate because he was likely to lose next year, and if he runs for president, he won't hurt Biden.

    Nov 10

Joe Manchin Sounds Like A Presidential Candidate While Announcing His Senate Departure

In a video, Sen. Manchin (D-WV) announced that he would not be running for reelection, but it was other moments of speech that made it sound like he is not retiring.

Here are some quotes from the video:

The promise that I made to my dad all those years ago has been my north-star. I’ve never cared about where good ideas came from and I never blamed one side for creating a problem nor believed only one side could fix them.

When America is at her best, we get things done by putting country before party, working across the aisle and finding common ground. Many times, this approach has landed me in hot water, but the fight to unite has been well worth it.

    ….

Every incentive in Washington is designed to make our politics extreme. The growing divide between Democrats and Republicans is paralyzing Congress and worsening our nation's problems. The majority of Americans are just plain worn out.

I know our country isn’t as divided as Washington wants us to believe. We share common values of family, freedom, democracy, dignity and a belief that together we can overcome any challenge. We need to take back America and not let this divisive hatred further pull us apart.

Public service has and continues to drive me every day. That is the vow that I made to my father 40 years ago, and I intend to keep that vow until my dying day.

    Watch the Manchin video:

A Manchin Presidential Candidacy Would Be Doomed

Democrats should not be afraid of a Manchin No Labels presidential candidacy. Any No Labels candidate will struggle to get on the ballot, but the bigger problem is that Manchin, like RFK Jr. is a candidate that appeals more to Republicans than Democrats.

People may not have noticed, but Manchin spends a lot more time on Fox News than he does on MSNBC.

Every single potential presidential candidate in the 2024 field will be over 70 years old. Manchin is not the kind of candidate who will excite young voters with campaign slogans like incremental legislating and bipartisanship.

A July 2023 Monmouth University Poll found that support for a No Labels ticket plummeted when Manchin’s name was attached. The poll found that a Manchin campaign costs Trump slightly more support than Biden loses.

The finding isn’t surprising because the greater the number of options for voters, the more likely it is that Trump will lose support as the non-Biden option.

Joe Manchin sure sounds like a presidential candidate, but his candidacy should worry Trump and Republicans more than Biden and Democrats.

Manchin seems to open his mouth to change feet and also if you believe a word of his discourse about working across the aisle, I have a bridge I want to sell you. This man was as buttheaded as a mule or Sinema, take your pick.

I can tell you exactly who will replace Manchin: current Republican WV governor Jim Justice who’s now running for Senate. He’s been a very popular governor in the state. He was once a billionaire but his current worth is said to be about $450 million after paying hefty legal fees for various offenses. He’s a supporter of the orange thing. Had Manchin run again for Senate, he would have lost to Jim Justice.

Taylor Swift is an enormous influence on young women, and I hope that translates into them becoming registered voters who actually cast votes in favor of women’s rights. It is a frickin shame that some men are so threatened by young women becoming a large voting block. These type men get off on complete and utter control over women and can’t imagine a world where females are equal to men. I’m not much into jewelry, but I’m gonna be looking for one of those Taylor Swift bracelets to wear.

The “moms for liberty” women use their “running for school board” platform to try and get closer to white male power and privilege. These women think they are gaining the same kind of white male power and privilege for themselves, but they are not. Of course, conservative males support MFL efforts as long as the women support the men in suppressing women’s rights. The women are too blind to see the reality.

Ruth, I want that shirt as well. As far as Justice, if he wins, seems we won't be getting true justice but an identified evil.

Yes, Justice will be the next WV Senator.

I just saw this article and not a word of it surprises me. (Altho imo, I don’t think Manchin will run for president). While people keep wanting to paint Turtleneck MConnell as feeble, he unfortunately still has massive horrific influence over our government. He is as bad as the orange thing.

How McConnell helped engineer Manchin’s exit

By BURGESS EVERETT and ALLY MUTNICK

    11/09/2023

Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans worked for more than a year to make Joe Manchin’s retirement announcement on Thursday a reality. And for good reason: The Democrat’s decision puts Republicans on the precipice of a majority that’s eluded them for two straight election cycles.

McConnell himself laid the groundwork last fall when he flew out to see the popular Gov. Jim Justice (R-W.Va.), the GOP leader said in an interview. McConnell said Justice initially seemed like he had never considered it, but a few months later, Justice launched his bid.

After the governor got in the race, McConnell’s campaign chief, Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), spent months trying to persuade former President Donald Trump to endorse Justice, according to a person familiar with the discussions. During the ultimately successful operation, Daines argued to Trump that endorsing Justice could knock Manchin out of the race — and make the Democrat more likely to run for president, siphoning votes from Biden.

“You can do the math. If we don’t lose any incumbent — and I don’t think we will — he’s No. 50. And one step closer to having a majority,” McConnell said of Justice. “I’ve been involved in a lot of recruiting over the years, some successfully, some not. But I think that’s the best recruiting job I ever did.”

After adding a seat to their 50-50 Senate majority under adverse conditions last cycle, Democrats will need a near-perfect performance next year to keep Republicans from regaining control of the chamber. The Senate GOP needs to pick up only one more seat — or none at all, if Republicans win the presidency and claim the vice presidential tie-breaker.

We in the West don't think much in terms of balance, and obviously we should.  Even the very thought of an exquisite union and balance of all our forces, both physical and mental, has a gentle, hopeful ring to it. . . . All of us must find a bridge between our physical and spiritual parts.  When that balance is achieved, what a happy comfort for ourselves!

I really think you are right Divine. I read a different article that didn't say as much about McConnell but did talk a lot about Justice. Manchin was for a long time a placeholder for the Democrats in W. VA, but it seems once the Loon got on the scene it was a cliff-hanger as to where the Manchin vote would land, if he didn't own up right away. That is a negative, but I still can't be sorry to see Manchin go. He and Sinema spent months infuriating me and I thought I'd be naming an ulcer after them, but fortunately not.

I'm hoping that we won't be any worse off, and hope that enough "crap" keeps coming out of the Reps. to help us with the hump of losing the seat that Manchin held.

ETA: That is a fantastic shirt. I'm sure I've told the story here (some of the newer ladies may not know it) of getting some real heavy frowns at work one day when we were all to wear t-shirts. Mine said "Women who seek to be equal to men lack ambition". Needless to say, I didn't win a prize that day. If I had your shirt Ruth, I'd have proudly worn it too. I do admit though it fits the times today and wouldn't have so much back then in the 80's.
