A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people to whom it is easy to do good, and who are not accustomed to have it done to them; then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbor--such is my idea of happiness. Well, I do hope someone is able to get through to the Loon but frankly, he and those who now likely pull most of his strings do seem intent on GIVING him something to run on. Rather foolish as whomever his handlers are, they too should see the writing on the wall. Everything I see and read would indicate that that trump is well into his senility now and as everyone knows — that does not heal and get better. He is either going to be a stone-cold convict by election time or so far gone he doesn't know day from night. Or more than likely, both.
What value is it then to carry on the trump charade. I guess just because they are Reps. and for now at least, they may be able to give some other Reps. a boost in some way.
I think it just speeds the downfall and makes on some ways, the Democrats life a bit easier. Poll numbers can't be believed, and I think even more so if they are good for trump. If one looks at Biden's numbers in South Carolina primary. it was another way over performance number. So, I do think many pundits are trying their level best to keep trump viable for as long as they can. Well, then people — best make sure he never gets a chance to speak — anywhere. It will be an exercise in futility if he does.

'They wrote that for the purposes of this criminal case, "former President Trump has become citizen Trump, with all of the defenses of any other criminal defendant. "The ruling comes a month after lawyers for Trump made sweeping claims that he enjoyed immunity from federal prosecution, claims that lawyers for the special counsel said would "undermine democracy" and give presidents license to commit crimes while in the White House, such as accepting bribes for directing government contracts or selling nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary. Judges push back against Trump's immunity claim in the election interference case LAW Judges push back against Trump's immunity claim in the election interference case It would be "a striking paradox," the judges wrote, if the president, who alone has the constitutional duty to ensure that laws be faithfully executed "were the sole officer capable of defying those laws with impunity."
Oopsa, but I lost again.

Hopefully now, away we go, judges. Of course, the Loon will have his lawyers take this to the SC, but I hope they will wait for a week or so and then refuse to take the case.

The kinda crap to expect when your leader is an orange baboon. No offence to the real baboons.

Not sure what sparked this picture, but I'm sure it is the truth.

It certainly has turned into an interesting Friday. Not only the 4-Judge panel's decision of trump's immunity, but the Johnson failure of not getting enough votes to impeach Sec. Mayorkas. In each case, the Reps. should be hanging their heads in shame, but not them. They don't know the meaning of the word.
The coming days will be interesting. I hope the SC will not take long and throw the case out. I really don't see how they could do much else. The four Judge panel covered ALL the bases w/o rancor and only truth with I feel an extremely accurate viewpoint of how the law does in fact view former presidents.
So, my hope is that Citizen trump is soon sitting in the defendant's chair next to his lawyers and we can get on with getting him convicted. As some of the news people and guests on the tv news I have seen this afternoon have said — we the people deserve a "speedy" trial as well. Not just those who sit at the tables in the courtroom. We the people have been wronged, and every time the loon was able to cause ANY sort of delay it was indeed a slap in our face. It is well past time to get the trials started. We, even the Reps. need to know what trumps status is as far as being on any ballot or being considered as a viable candidate.
Of course, it sf my greatest hope and prayer that he is not re-elected, and I really can't see it, but as always things have taken place, I never thought possible. So I wait, but every loss he (trump) has while we wait gives me more hope that he will in fact have a stunning loss should he end up on the ticket. I also think mentally as far as the dementia, he may barely know he is on a ticket by the time voting takes place. He is sinking rather fast.

My hope and prayer is that he drops dead!!

Each person takes care that his neighbor shall not cheat him or her. But a day comes when we begin to care that we do not cheat our neighbors. Then all goes well. We have changed our market-cart into a chariot of the sun.

I think I got a few things mixed up in the above post. It was NOT Friday yesterday, it was Tuesday. Hmmm, I'm just a bit ahead for sure. Also it was not a 4-Judge appeals panel, it was three. I think most of the rest is hopefully all right.
I do still feel much the same. The pundits were all careful to say the SC has butted in so much that they really normally would not that we might expect they would feel they HAD to deal with the immunity thing now. I'm not positive about that. They actually seem to have tried to keep some distance where trump is concerned and boy could they easily do it now. The three appeals judges covered all the immunity bases fair and square while keeping to the law and the truth in a calm, professional manner. I don't see what the SC could add to the rationale and respect that was given while dealing with trump. They got it right and so I see nothing much the SC could do. Can't imagine they want to sully their reputations further by bothering to get into a loser's fight with the U.S. Constitution.

Jacie, I hope your assessment rings true, and Ruth, my Dh expresses the same sentiments about T that you do!
Not sure why, but I notice that the topics and people I bring up on this forum seem to make it to my google news feed. More than any other place I visit online, this forum seems to be a direct influence on what targeted articles I get.
