All that we are is the result of what we have thought; it is founded upon our thoughts, it is made up of our thoughts. If one speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows that person, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the carriage. If one speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows that person, like a shadow that never leaves.    -Gautama Buddha

This is such a miserable excuse fora human being and while it is a real broken record by now, I will wonder till my last breath how anyone could have allowed this thing to get even within shouting distance of our White House.

Just a heads up – If your business is playing Fox News on the TV, I will leave.

On this note, I have been a HULU subscriber for some time now. Lately, if it pops off for some reason as it seems to on occasion, the Fox channel comes on. I have been busy lately, but plan to call HULU and find out what their explanation might be. I'm not appreciative in the least and this has just started happening in the last few weeks.

Donald Trump’s Lawyer Appeared To Send A Thinly-Veiled Threat To Unidentified Mar-A-Lago Informant, Americans Demanded Answers: “How Is This Not Witness Tampering?”

    That was a bad idea...

    by Andrea Thompson8 seconds ago8 seconds ago657ShareTweet

The general consensus following the bombshell raid on Trump’s Palm Beach resort is that there is a mole among them at Mar-a-Lago. Someone, somewhere, with some pretty close and intimate insider knowledge on the ex-president and his post-White House day to day life, tattled on the former guy. Whoever this informant was (and believe me, the speculations are plentiful — with Michael Cohen even theorizing that it could have been one of Donald’s own children) played a large role in the securing of the FBI search and seizure warrant against Trump’s compound, and landed him at the center of a brutal investigation into whether or not he violated the Espionage Act.

Knowing what we know about Donald Trump and his mental stability (or lack thereof) suffice it to say that the man is desperate to know who ratted him out.

So much so, it seems, that his lawyers are out here doing the dirty work for him.

Trump attorney Allina Habba made an appearance on Newsmax, where one of two things happened — either she’s extremely dumb and every bit as crazy as Donald Trump is, or… She’s dropping a very public, very clear warning to the informant via cable TV.

During the segment, Habba publicly demanded that the Department of Justice reveal the identity of the individual who informed on the ex-president. Her ultimate argument for this demand? They’re going to find out sooner or later either way.

“The president’s position, the same as what I would advise him, is to ask them to uncover everything so that we can see what is going on,” the Trump attorney said on live television. “I understand the witness protection issue, but at the same time, these witnesses are truly not going to be concealed for very long.”

“It’s in the best interest so that the country can get comfortable to see what the basis was, especially from someone who was cooperating,” she claimed.

Popular Twitter user and former federal prosecutor Ron Filipkowski noted in the caption of the clip of Habba’s Newsmax appearance, “This is either more lunacy or a warning to the informant.”

I would call the above witness tampering. Why am I not surprised that it is one of the Loon's lovely dime store lawyers. Guess we all should be somewhat glad that those individuals have been so bad at their professional, but then they are given direction by a moron and mental/senile lunatic.

Balance of PowerAn anti-voting robocall that used an artificially generated clone of President Biden's voice has been traced to a Texas company called Life Corporation "and an individual named Walter Monk," according to an announcement by New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella yesterday .https://arstechnica.com/.../texas-firm-allegedly-behind.../

Likely going to be a lot of this since the Loon is getting shabbier and shabbier when put next to Pres. Biden. I think many of the Reps. must be quite concerned. Most in the government should know that the Loon is going to be likely un-available at election time — possibly for more reasons than one. I'm thinking mentally un-available for sure.

IllinoisLady, I always make it a point to “casually” notice what channel is on the TV at any business or doctor’s office that I go to that has one playing. Honestly, it seems to me that in the past year or so, I’ve only been seeing non-news related shows, like a weather or home improvement channel. I’m grateful for this. It makes me think these places of business don’t want to create ill will among their patrons which is a smart move. Why mix politics into everything? Or give your patrons the opportunity to get into a fight with each other over differing opinions? No one wants to take that on while they’re trying to work. It would definitely make me not go back if a business was tuned to Fox.

Btw, for those of you watching the Super Bowl this weekend, there will once again be a couple religious commercial ads sponsored by Hobby Lobby:

    Rome News Tribune (Georgia)

Apparently, Jesus is once again getting some airtime at the Super Bowl.

Despite the hefty backlash the "He Gets Us" commercials that ran during the 2023 Super Bowl received, the same company behind the campaign is gearing up for another ad display to further raise Jesus' profile during Super Bowl LVIII.

According to a new report from Rolling StoneGreg Miller, a spokesperson for the campaign, confirmed this week that another "He Gets Us" ad will air in a 60-second spot during the first quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers match up on Sunday, Feb. 11. It will be followed by a 15-second spot in the second half of the CBS and Univision broadcasts.

But the internet is having mixed reactions to the news again, especially after learning about the company behind the campaign, which was outed for having some questionable donors last year. Among them is the billionaire family behind Hobby Lobby, the craft store chain that has infamously tried to deny its employees access to birth control and block them from using the bathrooms associated with their gender identity.

David Green, the co-founder of Hobby Lobby, admitted last year that he helped fund the commercials. Now, his son Mart, the "Ministry Investment Officer" at Hobby Lobby, is one of three board members at the new nonprofit managing the ad campaign, Rolling Stone reports.

Despite the messaging of the "He Gets Us" ads, which Green claims is about loving and accepting others as Jesus did, critics of the commercials have found them to be contradictory considering their donors, who many believe to be pushing a conservative evangelical agenda under the guise of following Jesus.

"Hypocrisy. Gross," one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote in response to the news of another Super Bowl ad scheduled for this weekend.

"Yet they're paid for by the hateful, bigoted, homophobic, hypocrite a—hats that own @HobbyLobby," someone else added, insisting, "Jesus would not be a fan of billionaires."

IMO, Jesus would treat them like he treated the money lenders in the temple and justly so. Not religious and would never visit a Hobby Lobby due to their lack of moral principles. It is a shame that when you have accrued millions of dollars due to the hard work of your employees that you cannot see the economic divide that you have created nor recognize the benefits of sharing your wealth. It's also a shame that most of them are repugnicans and would rather take their wealth to the grave than share.

I have some good news to share at last! After a year and a half, and one week away from our NLRB formal hearing, my former employer settled against our complaint. He will have to read a statement that he had wrongfully terminated me and two other therapists and had illegally closed the studio I used to work for. He will also be required to post NLRB posters in all the studios he still owns stating what employers are not allowed to discipline employees for. Plus, he will be required to make payments totaling over $144K to the various wronged parties. He was able to get a postponement of 90 days, as he claimed he didn't have that much in liquidity. Even if he tries to skip country, we've been reassured that the NLRB can seize assets to ensure the penalties are paid. So I'm looking forward to May!

This is outside of our Department of Labor complaint for unpaid wages. That will also hopefully be resolved in the near future.

Agree with the above sentiments. It is nice to see that there is justice for the victims of those who feel they are above the law. Unions are the backbone for those seeking their share of the the money they generate for their corporations. It has been a long slog for you to reap the rewards of your efforts. Yeah, miriandra.
