Tang, most of us are told old to know, hysterectomy for me 14 yrs ago. Jwoo, Patti or FBbird might be able to answer that...

I have never had a mani or pedi, I have large hands & feet, so I would be self conscious.

Ok, this is a sad pathetic memory. The boy I had a crush on in High Scool, but I was very shy, the only thing he said to me was "Can you palm a basketball"?.....

Tang I have read that the younger women experience cramps and even spotting but talk to u'r MO. I just telling u what I've heard.

Hole that's hysterical I have huge hands and feet and I don't let anyone see my feet they are so ugly, but my hands aren't that ugly just huge---you know when slipper sox re sized one size fits most--well I'm the other side of most. LOL

I talked with FBB, she's delighted that you would like to send her cards. BUT my concern is we have a certain anoynimity that is different than other websites. I religiously do not share phone numbers or addresses. I know you know that, but my OCD makes/compells me to say such things. If you have even the slightest bit of OCD(obsessive complusive disorder) you will understand.

But I have worked the problem through to a really easy solution.  I think. I'll do a thread. You post your thoughts and pics and whatever on the thread. I will print it off and mail them. This is actually easier than buying a card and stamp. She will have an easier time keeping them together. I think it will be way more fun b/c we will be able to see what everyone else is doing. We can oh&ah&enjoy.

If you think in terms of traditional showers. It's a gathering. Everyone OH's &AH's&Enjoy's what each has brought to the gathering. Also, at traditional showers what someone brings people respond with teasing and laughing and silliness.

I can also invite the folks from the other threads she's on.

Sure she could read them on line, but I'll ask her not too. She will be surprised and be able to sit and read with DH. Perhaps her family can take pics that can latter be posted back on the thread. We then can OH & Ah & Enjoy some more :) The circle of the gathering would then be complete :)

Could be a new trend! Truly a virtual shower?

Tang, Oh beautiful curls and blond. My hair came in many shades of white, steel gray, silver. First curly then went stick straight like Spookie said. I went bald with only one chemo, not one round. ONE chemo.

Sassy - I think that is a very good idea. Others than on just here I'm sure would like to offer support. FBB is well loved on the DIEP thread Movin' On -After the Flap for one and many others she visits. We can provide food, games, laughs, hugs, emotional support.

Enerva - your curls are adorable. And I agree with Cami (shocker I know) you have a lovely shaped head and beautiful face.

Thanks for the pedi advice. Now to convince DH I need it. I think we are about to cancel newspaper so that will free up some pedi funds.

Did I ever mention that I have a phobia of anything under the skin. Not just mine...anyone. therefore it makes "checking" things out a freakish event for me. If I feel knots or lumps, I just freak out. I've always been that way, could never check my kids head when they would fall for fear of feeling that knot. Dh had to do it.

Okay Owlies, ideas are gelling or jelling. If others chime in that this is a go. One of the things that I think would be GREAT. Is pics of ourselves. This idea came with SweetSue's tomato pics. Spookie- please, in the thread, post the pic of you and Phyllis and I. (worst pic of me, didn't realize I had no eye shadow on or anything--gray hair requires eye work and lipstick and cheek blush)

Susan :) thanks. How many people showed up for this event? DD is beautiful :)

I would create the thread right now, just so you could see, but others not privy to what we are thinking would post. Let's think explosions of thought and color and shape and form and things that would make DH blush and think these ladies(?) are crazy-----hope my printer is up to that LOL

Teka keep an eye as things progress There are so many stealable posts from W&F's. We'll steal with no crediting OKAY?

Oh, good dog, if I posted an invite to other threads........we all know when I tried to do a good thing the last time by posting to other threads. LOL. We'll cross that bridge when the time comes. I'm getting excited about this....it's not been done here before.....been here for 5 years..... We are so cool.

Pics in the topic box-----looked at it. The MeerKat pic is us. The Bluebird was added b/c of FBB--- that's her. The owl is it "we ride it out". My first thought was to pick pics for the topic box.......BUT what is here, it all works. It's home. Like Christmas. She sees them each time she comes.

I can create a new thread and the C&P the meerkats and BB and owl-------------and other stuff    :)

Hi, ladies I am new on this forum, it looks like fun, I have been reading it in the wee hours of the morning. Susan3 your post struck a cord with me. I also have fibromyalgia, your headaches, restless leg are all symptoms of fibro, a neurologist is the doc to see. Stress always makes it worse for me, I can go along fine for awhile and than have a stressful period and I have a flair up. I was just diagnosed in May with my 3rd primary cancer, and you guessed it, headaches and general pain. Best of luck, I hope you get some help. Stephanie

    Hi all,

Sas, the sleep app is called sleep 101. I have an iPhone and I went into apps and the search term I used was sleep tracker. It is not really very accurate since it measures sleep and awake cycles by motion. The phone was plugged in and placed on the mattress near my pillow. The last 2 nights it shows a graph  of how long I slept, a little over 5 hours. And that I was awake 3-4 times.

Susan, the pics of tomatoes on shirt and shoes, so slimmy yucky..but you looked like you had fun.

Very sore muscles tonight, side effect from iron infusions I think, or anemia. Going to try and sleep. Goodnight all.....
