Hi, all you lovely ladies. I'm back. I thought it has just been "awhile" since i was last on but — wow - 2023. Really?!! 2023?I am really happy to see so many familiar names, still actively posting. I actually went back to my last posts, then looked for names. I am so very sad about the ladies we have lost.
My last PET in March gave me another "all clear" . I wish that for all of you. I only have to do bloodwork every six weeks instead of three, but I continue to get Herceptin/Perjeta every three weeks. I turned 75 last August and felt kind of down. It used to be, I turned 50 and would think well I probably have thirty years before I turn 80 and fall off the twig. Then it was 60 (20 years) …….now "Will I get more than five years?" I have to remind myself that I was given a death sentence in 2019 but I am still here. Count your blessings as they say.
I have given up trying to mow our back yard and my husband has mobility issues (balance) so I don't want him doing it. We've hired a yard service and are getting it mowed weekly (April-June) It's the first time since we moved in nearly forty years ago that the back yard always looks tidy. Scruffy but tidy. We have major water restrictions here so lawn watering is strictly prohibited. So the service may soon be mowing weeds and kicking up dust. We are allowed to water flowers, if it is handwatering. And vegetables. I am hoping we don't have a lot of wildfires to contend with. Last summer wasn't too bad here. We didn't get much smoke coming from other areas in the province, or blowing up from Washington State. I had had plans to turn the very small front lawn into a wildfower meadow but I may have to shelve it. I was going to put up a sign stating "Wildflower Meadow In Progress" in case someone decides to squeal on me for watering our nearly bald lawn.
I am playing with acrylics and am taking a on-line course. I am also trying to get back to sculpting and needle felting.
Overall, I am feeling well. My energy is pretty good for an old lady. I walk every day and am planting up what I hope will be an attracive flower bed at the front of the house.
My DH got a pacemaker in December so we are now a couple who share some form of implant.
Billie, the cat, is dong well too..
I'll come back later — but not three years later!!

Hello ladies. For some reason all my notifications got turned off so I wasn't getting any emails. So…
@cookie54 Great news on your scans!
@chicagoan I don't like AC either, but it doesn't get too hot here and it usually cools in the evenings so we can open our windows. We usually have our windows and screen doors open most of the summer during the day too.
@mara51506 I understand about needing AC when it stays hot. We did have AC in Tennessee when we lived there. I am glad your DB can help you with that.
@elderberry Welcome back. It is good to hear you have clean scans.
My scan today showed everything was stable. I was sure it would show some progression because of increased pain and fatigue, but I am thankful for what I got. I will discuss it all with my MO tomorrow.
Blessings to everyone.
7 -
@intolight Glad to hear your scan was good too! Now my wish for you is to feel a bit better.🤞🏻
@mara51506 Your drive with your friend sounds like it was perfect. It’s so nice to have good friends in your life that you have known for years.
@elderberry welcome back and I’m so glad to hear your scans are good ! It’s so nice to hear good news and hear you have been thriving since 2019. We’re all a little older and definitely a bit beat up but we’re still here to tell our story. Sounds like you keep yourself busy , so keep on going!👏@shanagirl Thinking of you, hope you were able to enjoy your trip to see your family especially those grandkids.
@candy-678 Hope treatment is going well.
It’s been pretty steamy here pushing the 100 degree mark a couple days. Hoping the holiday weekend is nice, looking forward to boating this summer. Hi to all here, hope it’s a restful night.

Thanks for the shout out Cookie54. I get my 2nd Enhertu treatment this Friday. Feeling good this week- guess that is how it goes, feel good the last week of cycle and have to turn around and do it again. Losing my hair more now. Going to buy a wig today. We will see how treatment #2 does for me.
7 -
@candy-678-Hope that you find a cute wig that you like and that your second treatment is more tolerable.
7 -
@candy-678 Glad you had a reprieve from treatment in between. Oh the hair situation is never fun but I hope you find a comfortable and stylish wig that you feel good in. In your pocket for treatment Friday, hugs.
5 -
@candy-678 I am glad you get a break from SE to feel good some of the time. Enjoy the shop for a wig, hoping they style and trim the wig as well. It can be fun, my wigs, all various blondes with dark roots matching my hair help them look more real.
I did not sleep much last night, need to pay attention to falling asleep on the couch. I am glad it has cooled off, was really humid and felt 90's. I shut off the AC part of the window AC for now. Still using window fans both living room and bedrooms.
I did decide to on some laundry, replaced the found wetjet which lost its spraying ability with a new one, got a good spray on it now. Using other one for the mop function right now, do it twice a day or so.
Starting with a burrito, had trouble deciding what to eat but decided on that, added sour cream and ate with a fork.
2nd meal included some Kraft Dinner Pasta, used 1/3 cup, added 2/3 and a bit of water and added some cheese. Not the whole box, not all of the cheese. I did add the cheese powder in with the noodles while boiling it all, works well. The noodles also had some taco seasoning added to the water as well. Post KD portion, added 1/3 cup of red lentils to 2/3 water, heated on high for a bit, turned off after letting it go on med/low on the burner. I did add a lot of garlic to the water as well. Made for a very creamy and garlicky lentil dish. Added both together, I did add a small amount of plain mayo and mixed together, it was pretty good. I also stuck my finger in the peanut butter for dessert.
Hope everyone had a good day, am always in pockets for everyone.

Good evening all. I've taken a sleeping aide, so I will keep this short so as not to sound "too out there". lol
Spent two weeks with family and notching away at bucketlist. Didn't make Phillies game and Mennonite church. The schedules didn't mesh for family to go to a game. I went to church on a Wednesday evening, by walking a block from sis's home. I sat the steps reminiscing old days of vacation bible school and Halifax Ca,,mp. This church was my first church. I have a niece and nephew who converted in their teen years. They both have a large family and are dedicated to the church. Well, long story short, no church that evening due to school graduations held at another Mennonite facility. I did find Penn. Dutch Chow-chow for MO. I got the time I desperately needed with family, especially my sis. Wish I could afford to go again next month or two. She is not well.
Had to go to Er yesterday for pain at a 9 to 10. Worried about effects from flying. I was really in excruciating pain. The gave me duloudid IV. It gave me a break from pain but I am afraid to use it. Such a strong drug, it frightens me. I have appt. with GP tomorrow to discuss.
I hope everyone is well and treatment is doing it's thing. Apologies for trying to catch up and then absolutely loosing my thought process. I think it's the sleeping aide. Better say good night my sweet friends. Missed you all.
Laurel

@irishlove Sorry to hear you came home and now having so much pain. I sure hope they can get it under control for you quickly. Glad to hear you did enjoy your time with your family, there's nothing more valuable. Sending healing vibes your way.
@mara51506 Hope you slept better last night, such a horrible feeling t be sleep deprived. Weather has cooled down here too and we had some much needed rain last night. Looks like the clouds and rain are here to stay through next week..oh well…
Had my Prolia shot yesterday , so my May appts are winding down :) Hope everyone has a peaceful and pain-free day❣️
4 -
@irishlove I am sorry for the major pain, am hoping something can reign it in if the drug given is too heavy duty. May you get back to your sis soon.
@cookie54 Yes it is nice to be cooler, we had non stop tornado warnings, few tonadoes touched down here in London so needless to say my phone alarm was non stop for a while, we were lucky, power was not knocked out. Plus side of the hotter weather, I learned to make good use of the hip fans. I have to watch TV with earbuds as the little fans are LOUD but they are fantastic and also charge other devices while in use AND make great flashlights.
Today is garbage day so will have quite a few bags to bring in. My old AC was sitting out back but I think my brother took it away. Only stuff out now is my wee garbage can and my walker. SIL suggests I put my garbage bags on the walker seat and wheel it over. I may give it a go.Figure that would be easier, get back to indoor storage til garbage day. I prefer to empty the back area first. Work on the house stuff later, I will see later. Before I started wimping out, garbage fit in one container in the linen closet. I took that stuff out. Would like to get back to that. One container of cat litter mostly and cardboard from packaging in the recycle bag.
Not sure about food yet, got a ton of food to choose from. I really do like the dried red lentils, they expand a lot and make many dishes filling, also like the elbow pasta of the KD noodles. I add the cheese or whatever other seasoning in while they are heating on the stove. Also found more food in my pantry drawer area, mostly noodles etc. More taco seasoning too so that is good. I do need to finish up the sliced ham and beefless ground. Thinking something with beefless ground and couple of slices of ham, chopping in beans and cheese with the ham and tossing all in the air fryer, just a warm up really, add some queso and some plain yogurt to tone down the spice. Sounds good to me, mix all together in the warmth. Add some different seasonings as well. Unsure about later. Will post if I like what I make. Also have big mac sauce as well, could be mixed with plain yogurt to act as a binder. I will definitely see. Mac Sauce is sort of like Miracle whip with that zip in the flavour. Oh well.
EDIT Came across a mexican rice mix from old elpaso, found some oreos and other snacks too. Putting those in air tight containers, I love oreos, got some granola bars as well. Might consider sending through the chopper and putting in with peanut butter, I will have to see.
EDIT 2 Added the mexican rice mix, butter and then took a bit of the kraft dinner cheese and some taco seasoning, added to the pot. Added some torn up ham, beans and a little red lentils, will simmer with stirs every couple minutes. Hope it is good. The meal was very good, boiled the bulk of liquid down. Some did cook down to the pot even with stirring every couple of minutes. Not worried about that. Scooped a bowl out. Added some shredded cheese and it did melt down which was good, few croutons as well. No binder needed as the stuff I added to the pot was more than enough, shredded cheese added a creamy texture. I added salt at the end, that was it. Thinking it would be easy enough for me to take white rice or some of the Kraft Dinner elbow pasta and add my different seasonings. I did add a wee condiment pack of BigMac sauce, gave a nice zip. Got a least two more meals or just scooping out as side dishes.
I am also doing laundry. I forgot and left the softening cycle in the washer overnight so just spun dry, I do 2 5 min cycles of spin dry, I find I can use less heat in my regular dryer as well, let some stuff air dry then toss in with wool balls to break up the cotton and remove the stiffness. We will see, thinking I need to wash up some of my blankets as time goes on. For that I will need my panda spinner and a container to collect the water in. Don't have a proper bucket so I start the drain and turn it off to dump the water in the tub, start up the spinner again and I should be assured of no leaks. I will see.
Hope all have a great day, in pockets for everyone including myself to get everything, meals, laundry and garbage out to the back. Make up for the bags I did keep in the heavy duty bin out back.
5 -
Well, I want to say, I am pretty much caught up with the garbage, will need to take out some boxes for recycle and all bags from outiside and in are done, just have the kitchen garbage to put out, linen closet container was emptied, debating out taking out back later to give a good wipe down after supper since it is really sticky. I will see, bringing in other tote as well, will stack and see if both handle the garbage. Back area and large bin empty, found almonds in my wee garbage, dumped them in a tote and brought them into one of my bags. Total for me taken out is 6, that catches me up on all other times I was tired or whatever so I am glad to be caught up and not using that large bin that never belonged to me anyway. Not worried about leaving my walker tucked around the corner since it helped with taking a lot of it over, just stuck a couple bags on the seat and walked it, that works well when it is not winter.

Small update from me…
I saw my MO yesterday and had my 2nd infusion of Enhertu. My MO suggested (before I brought it up) to lower this dose down to 80%. We will see how this time goes with SE's. Next treatment scheduled in 3 weeks again.
Saying HI to all of you.
7 -
Thanks for the update. I think of you often. It's wonderful that your MO is sensitive to the SEs. Hoping to hear that this cycle was easier for you
Like everyone else here, hoping that pain relief is near at hand for you. So glad that you had the mental and emotional uplift that comes from spending time with your family.
5 -
@candy-678 In your pocket on this reduced dose of Enhertu and it bringing fewer SE for you.
Slept alright last night I have to say. My normal sleep is usually 6 to 7 hours. If I slept longer, that means overtired or sick. I pulled out the window AC lint filter, ran it under some water, wiped down with a cloth and got rid put in my tent dryer. Like a low heat hair dryer to describe it. I will check on it regularly as it won't need a full hour I do not think. EDIT on the lint filter, it was done within 10 mins in the hanging tent dryer so it is already back in AC. I need patients with getting it back in, it is tough and need to not try and force it in or it would bend and be worth bupkiss.
I will be starting laundry pretty soon, probably couple of blankets, need to pull out the container to drain the larger spin dryer into, I just have to let the first lot of water go in, turn off and dump, put container back under and do a second time. Almost looking forward to it. Planning on doing the larger blankets first. Then a batch of smaller ones I think. Then depending on the size, do a pre dry with my other tent dryer, heater is on bottom, not sure yet.
I am planning a legume heavy meal. Use up more beans, found a corn medley can in one of my pantry drawers, I can see sending some canned lentils, the prepared rice, corn medley and possible beans into the air fryer, not wanting crunchy, just an efficient way. I decided to put together a small grocery order, realized the extra cost for not meeting minimum 35 dollars was no different than getting mcdonalds delivery but I get more food out of it. I did not need much stuff, got a few burritos because they are cheap and taste good, more black forest ham slices, only 3 bucks and they go well with tons of stuff and treating myself to a french onion creamy dip, used to get heartburn but since I take a digestive enzyme before all meals, no heartburn for me, I can actually digest better.
First meal will will involve lentils, thinking of heating up some rice first, takes least amount of time, find a garlic sort of seasoning to put in, add butter to it once made up. EDIT boiling large pot of water. Sprayed pot first, added left over chicken dogs not yet eaten, put in a couple of slices of ham torn up and a ton of canned lentils, left out the rice this time, addded a few Kraft Dinner noodles and a bit of taco cheesy powder, Kraft Dinner powder and some garlic. Not planning to try to boil off water, instead I will strain the pot, and put the water mix in another bowl I am thinking. Sounds strange but think it will be good. I will say if good or not.
I did strain the dish but saved the water from pot. Took a bit of it, added some mayo to it, put everything on a plate. I was not sure what to expect, looked like a really thick soup, was not sure what to expect but after plating and putting the mayo flavoured water mix, it was really good. I finished all of it and it did have nutrition with protein from chicken dogs and ham with the addition of lentils and some elbow Kraft dinner noodles. I could pick up the cheese powder added, Old elpaso cheesy taco seasoning and the regular taco seasoning. It was very filling. Took 2 loperimide this time as the amount of fiber and liquid could cause issues. I avoid the issues like the plague, refusing to give up on good meals though. If anyone were to winder why I take enzymes and 2 to 3 loperimide a day, it is because without them, almost everything could set me off, cannot too many things, even rice has set me off. Doing it this way keeps my system working well 99 per cent of the time.
I have spun the heaviest blanket. Also come up with the best system to collect the water while spinning. Since I do not have the desire to take out either portable washer, a bucket is too tall, needed to be short container. I took two towels, covered any cords beside the washer and put on below the container as it would still drip, easy to dump in tub and spin again. I am already washing the other large but thinner blanket so the Panda spinner is still going to be used. Once this one is done and spun, will drape over shower rod until first large blanket done, can put away larger spin dryer and when 1st blanket done. Only issue with the blankets are they are heavy when lifting out of the washer. I do find letting drip for a while first then put in the spinner easier to do when dealing with a heavy wet blanket. I would love to get an automatic washer but not enough of an inconvenience to lay out the cash. Only two blankets require the larger spinner. Once stuff is done, I can decide how many other blankets need to be done.
Hoping everyone is having a good day and in pockets for everyone, hope your weather is nice, we are windy and cold so everything is turned off. Waiting on a small Walmart order.
3 -
Wow, just took notice that the boiler heat for the building has been shut off. That is fine with me but led me to shut the window since it is windy and rainy, down to 60 in the living room. Oh well, I am just fine with that.
4 -
Well looks like most are enjoying the weekend, that is good to see. We still got a ton of rain, once heat off, window fan in living room made it pretty cold, moved out of the window, noticed a lot of dirt in the sill. Took a damp cloth last night, it is quite soiled. Running an oxiclean white revive soak and agitation cycle. Probably soak for a half hour or full hour including the cycle to soak first then complete a proper wash. I was able to complete a proper wash of the big blankets. They need to be done on a separate day. Weight out options of moving the panda spinner which is the largest spinner and accommodates the largest blankets easily but I don't think I need it accessed all the time. I like having the big portable washer and spinner in with the smaller one which can do cloths, soaks. The smaller one is a proper washer spin dryer, just the wash side is smaller. Not one of the trash ones I picked up a while ago. Found a lot of stuff needing to be disposed of as well so will gradually get rid of anything I can personally do and want to get rid of the extra laptops taking up space, could see myself removing drives from them to create extra movie storage etc. Nothing happening yet and no purchases yet.
Not sure on food, debating throwing out old chips that are stale, I always say, I will grind them up as a seasoning but never do, prefer actual seasoning since what I like is inexpensive so need to put in a garbage bag and put outside. I even have reese's pieces I have not touched in a while, cannot see why I would keep them, stupid to hold on to stuff I do not have or made use for. I did get the other washer that lives in tub on the go, got some undies and pajama bottoms on the go in a mesh bag with cold water and bigger one that soaked the really soiled dirty cloth that wiped the window is onto its regular wash after one hour soak in oxyclean. Goal for laundry is to get rid of the clothes that have been hanging around in the smaller washer, would like it all clear, they take priority over throw blankets. I will keep working at the pile though, not short on time, two loads ready for spin and dry should I choose to dry them beyond a hangup on the shower rod.
Got a craving for sour cream and chives Knorr Pasta, cannot be bothered adding too much, no milk but do have the idea to take sour cream and mix with the plain yogurt and put some sour cream seasoning in there, I will see, need to thicken up. Noodles only this time.
EDIT OMG the sour cream and chives pasta was frickin delicious. I did not use my yogurt in the mix but definitely did add some sour cream and the sour cream and onion seasoning along with a small amount of the heluva good brand onion variety, not too much. It really was amazing. Tonight took a burrito and added some diced potatoes, will not be crunchy and not to worried about. Will use plain yogurt this time and mix in some of the heluva good dip and sour cream and onion seasoning. Will need to return to some more nutritious stuff.

@mara51506 Yum those Knorr packets are so versatile for making quick meals! Throw some chicken or shrimp in them and you're good to go. Was a rainy weekend here also although we go to a family bbq indoor on Saturday which was fun. Other than that I caught up on inside chores and we grilled burgers yesterday had corn on the cobb and I made a tomato salad. I have been using this delicious pear balsamic vinegar that I had received in a gift basket and it's delish! On the road today driving to the shore area to put my hubby's boat in the water.
Hi to all here hope you had a nice weekend and a good week ahead!
3 -
I haven't had anything Knorr in ages and ages. My mother used to get Knorr packaged dry soup a lot though, when I was a kid. She'd make it just as soup, but she'd also use the packets to mix in with all sorts of other stuff to make dip for chips and all sorts of other things. I remember my brother liking it every time she used Knorr, because of the Viking logo. I think we were in grade school at the time. Ahhh, memories.
2 -
@cookie54 Yes, the knorr packets are definitely the bomb for sure. The sour cream and chives are my favourite flavour and ate the whole package. To me they are like having fast food at McDonalds.
Not sure about food, thinking I would like to have a ham sandwich with egg. Make egg in the mini griddle and toast the english muffin in the breville oven. The egg mc muffin make does not make for good english muffins
EDIT My first meal was simply black beans, 2/3 cup worth. I put those in the chopper, added some shredded cheese and took som chips, spicy barbecue. Too spicy alone but figured with beans and cheese would be fine. Once the chopping was done, dumped it into the air fryer for a few minutes. Scooped out onto plate, added some mayo as a binder and some sour cream and onion seasoning and bit of salt. I must say, the smaller texture post chopping was delicious. I do not like chewy beans but when chopped there is less of that.

Hello all my Dear Ladies. I am reaching out to you all to update you on the last few weeks .
@threetree @cookie54 @candy-678 @chicagoan @intolight @irishlove @illimae @tanya_djamila @tougholdcrow @mara51506 @mkestrel @goldensrbest @gailmary @going2beatthis @elderberry @eleanora @emac877 @micmel and many others I have not yet mentioned including @malebreastc
I wanted to share what’s been goin on with me but I’m still so weak and working with Respiratory therapist with breathing treatment mask over my face while to help me recover and raise my oxygen levels to normal in the 90’s I was so sick when we got back from Fort Myers Beach which the local news was warning a deadly airborne bacteria traveling from the Everglades a Red Tide algae bloom which was killing all the fish & manatees from the red algae bloom that suddenly became an airborne bacterial Red Tide Bloom and traveling up the southwest coast and affecting people with asthmatic and other bonchial issues and weakened immune systems. I started feeling weak the day before we flew home on May 10 and layed in bed in the hotel room. It was a wonderful week and I kept up with everyone but the last day i was coughing so much. After we got home on the 11th I started coughing up blood, and passing out. On the morning of May 16th, my legs couldn’t hold myself up and I passed out on the floor DH & DSon lifted me int the bed and in the morning light they noticed my pillow and sheets & nightgown were covered in blood.! That’s when they called 911 and I was unconscious when the paramedics put me on the bedroom floor to get me on the board for the ambulance. They could not get a pulse or heart rate on my left side and saw the oxygen level in my finger monitor was below 60 which showed i had no oxygen in my blood and and my lungs were bleeding when thy were going crazy working on me in the ambulance to bring my heart rate up, I was feeling extremely tired and peaceful. I knew I was dying and I said a small breath prayer 🙏 to God and asked him to let me die so that I would be the first to go before DH because our kids and the pugs need him and not burdened with me having a deadly bacterial pneumonia and Stage 4 cancer in my bones. Ambulance brought me into the critical care unit and kept me there a few days until the nurses moved me to the occupational therapy, and respiratory therapy floor to get me strong enough to come home and oxygen levels up. I’ve been on antibacterial Azithromycin and methylprednisone first IV’s then 5 day pak sent me home with a walker to balance myself going back and forth to the bathroom during the night…..So after this experience, I guess God said no it’s not my time yet. I feel very grateful got another new day I can wake up in my comfy bed next to my husband and Pugs
I’m really scared right now even though I’m home walking normally and according to finger monitor my oxygen levels are steady between 9 & 98.
I have my normal monthly follow-up on June 2nd with my Oncologist gor labs and Fasoldex injections but my char said he will be doing a “Level 1 Transitional Evauation”. I’ so afraid this is because the CT scan that was done on me in Critical Care Unit
mentioned Heart, Mediastinum and Hilum: There is no cardiomegaly or pericardial effusion. There are prominent mediastinal lymph nodes, chamber reactive. This includes a 1.1 x 1.7 cm pretracheal lymph node.. this is new compared to previous scans and mediastinal lymph nodes that size can be the start of lung Mets. Or esophagus Mets. I’m so afraid he is going to change my meds around. I have been off the Verzenio since May 4th and due to all the medications hey’s e kept me off of it…… Lung and esophogal Mets terrifies me guys😳I had hoped I would get motre years on it.

@shanagirl What a harrowing experience! I'm glad you made it through and are home and able to walk a bit. Maybe you could check with your MO now and see if you can resume Versenio since it seems you have recovered from that awful Red Tide Bloom? Glad it wasn't your time yet. Wishing you many more good years.
@candy-678 How is this week going after your infusion?
I got my PET results today-see my MO tomorrow. Everything except one met decreased so I guess that's good. However the one met actually increased so I'll see what the oncologist says. I hate reading the test results-it always sounds like my whole body is falling apart 😥

Looks like all are busy, keeping short then.
Laundry, money boosting app, found watching ads gives me more money than playing the games so I am cool with that.
Watched Nicholas Cage in a Spider Noir, was good as I binged all 8 episodes, kind of a spiderman movie except taking place in the 30's and he was a private detective.
Nothing super exciting for food, first meal was dried lentils put in pot with some white rice and chia seeds. Stirred pretty often post bringing water to a boil, removed from heat, let the lid contain and finish the meal, I used some garlic parmesan seasoning along with the sour cream and onion added to the water. Once ready, took out of pot, put on plate used a small amount of plain mayo and a bit of the heluva good dip french onion. It is so good. Supper was a meat pie with some diced potatoes again, really liking them, just microwave them together.
I hope all had a good day, in pockets for everyone all the time too.

shanagirl that experience sounds frightening. Sending hugs. Happy you made it back to your comfy home and loving dh. Keep healing. Take care

Chicagoan-Thanks for the shout out. I am not getting my notifications on here that we have new posts. Hum. I messaged the mods.
I am on day 7 of my 2nd cycle of Enhertu. Pretty rough— nausea, weakness, fatigue. Could be worse though; always can be worse. I don't remember what I posted last and cannot go back and check without losing this post. I hope I make sense. I hope this drug evens out because I don't know if I can do this from now on indefinitely.
7 -
Shana - what a frightening experience! You are quite the fighter. Sounds like you are making progress in your recovery. No doubt it wiped you out. Just pace yourself as you work to get your strength back. 🙏🏻 that you can stay on Verzenio despite new findings on CT.
Candy - 🙏🏻 that your infusion SEs get better.
Here for pocket duty for all in need.
6 -
Thank you for your encouraging words @goldensrbest . Yes this whole experience was frightening to me and I’m now so frightened of the aftermath..
@tanya_djamila 🩵🌷TY for Your words.
and it was a very harrowing experience @chicagoan as you mentioned. I can’t believe I was so aware I was dying. I have a PT coming today at 2 and I amd still just so tired and weak from this whole hospitalization .Sepsis and bleeding in my lungs have taken it’s toll on me physically. the anxiety of seeing my Oncologist on June 2 for a Level 1 transitional evaluation is terrifying me. I also will see my pulmonologist o June 8 the following week. I am so afraid they are going to diagnose lung and trachea mets🙁
8 -
Sorry to hear about what sounds like a terrifying experience, but glad to know that you are recovering. Try to concentrate on the wonderful memories of your family time in FL. Progression is always scary. I was off Kisqali for almost 3 months during the last half of 2025 due to antibiotic treatment for diverticulitis and 3 new bone mets developed, as well as small growth of an existing met. Had the last of them radiated yesterday. Hopefully they will be able to treat your lymph nodes the same way. My MO immediately mentioned switching me to Verzenio, but I argued back that Kisqali didn't fail, it was removed from my treatment plan, so I'm still on Kisqali with a wait and watch approach. I also had a second opinion from an MO at Johns Hopkins who agreed with that approach.
Wishing you peace and healing. ❤️
6 -
@shanagirl I am so sorry about the harrowing symptoms you underwent, would be frightening for sure, I am sure glad that you are back home and will wait along with you to find out what is next for you treatmentwise.
@candy-678 In pockets for SE to improve for you soon.
Nothing happening today, laundry will be done, debating a Walmart order for things like hashbrowns etc, I will see. Floors need doing too and I want to budget boost some more. This time, I just watch ads for a bit of cash, easier than just playing games. I also have some veggie crisps coming from Amazon. Chipotle and cheddar, they are just so yummy. I am also thinking of having a similar meal to yesterday later today but ordering a burger meal first.
I did order the burger meal, Mcdouble meal. I take off the pickles, ketchup and mustard and add my big mac sauce condiments, big mac meal for almost 10 bucks less, also added an extra cheeseburger. Will do stuff with that in later meals. I think, not too sure or save the burger til the next day. I also get the free condiments as well. Can save money on butter and peanut butter even ketchup as well, like to add some of them to other dishes. Will post meals later.
EDIT I really did enjoy my Big Mac hack on a mcdouble with no ketchup mustard or pickle, it was quite delicious. The meal came with an inexpensive cheeseburger too. Got that in the fridge, going to look up ways to include components of the burger in other meals.
Other than that, just watching youtube and soon my soap opera. No movies that I know of that I wish to watch but I will see.
Hope all have a good day and in pockets for all good and bad as well, support either way.

@shanagirl - Oh, Shana, I am just so, so sorry to read about what you have been through. You have my utmost sympathies. My first thought was actually how it seemed like you experienced what the NASCAR driver did, but you, thank heaven, managed to pull through! How terrifying to have to go through that. I am just so, so glad that you are back home and improving now. I just can't imagine going through anything like that. You really have been the energizer bunny throughout your adult life. You just keep going, and going, and going through thick and thin. That is so inspirational and amazing! Please know that i am thinking of you and have my fingers crossed for a continuing smooth and rapid recovery. Big hug 🤞🪻🌺
