I got breakfast at Mcdonalds, they had a buy one get one free on sausage mcmuffins so got two of those and an egg mcmuffin meal and couple hashbrowns, not sure how they make their hashbrowns taste so good but it was really good. Still got one more sausage mcmuffin and the egg mcmuffin. I will refrigerate those and have later on.

@intolight - Really sorry about the UTI and other current troubles with energy and oxygen. Thinking of you with fingers crossed 🤞.

@shanagirl - So sorry that the recovery looks like it will take a good while. Wish it could be so much faster for you. Love the picture of your granddaughter and great-grandson, Layne. A picture really is worth a thousand words, and thanks so much for sharing it. Thinking of you and sending a big hug.

Final addition to prev post re dinner. I must say dinner was quite fantastic. 1/3 cup lentils, 1/3 cup black beans and 1/3 cup beefless ground. Did not want greasy beef so went back to the meatless option. I put those in the chopper first, added some shredded cheese to chopper and some chipotle and cheddar veggie crisps, chopped all together. Once done, sprayed pan, heated it up to high on the burner and then added all the chopped stuff in there, turned off heat and put 1/3 cup water to allow for the bit of sour cream and onion seasoning and taco seasoning and stirred pan alot and put a lid on. Once done, put mixture in a bowl, took some sour cream and some queso, added little bit of salt and just mixed all together. Oh my it was yummy and I dare say yummier than my burritos ever could be. Nutritious as well and because it was measured, on a cup of the 3main ingredients.

@mara51506 Sounds like you had a delicious meal filled with good protein. You'll have to add that to your rotation.

@shanagirl Don't be so hard on yourself, remember your body has and still is fighting off a major infection. One day at a time and you'll get there. Aww beautiful pic of your GD and great, thanks for sharing. Hugs and strength your way.

@irishlove Sorry your still feeling crummy. Sending hugs and healing your way.

@intolight Also sending healing thought and hugs to you too.

Slept really good, short but no wake ups, solid. Laundry on the go. I had to dry up an outdoor garbage container as when lifted out a hole allowed old soda out. Washing that towel and others on a hot disinfect cycle. I was pleased to get all garbage and recycle out. Took a few trips and I do take breaks in between and am able to use my cane to help.

Nothing on the agenda today for me. No food delivery either. I did get burritos that were just test to see if they would arrive and they did. They were a spicy variety but I did not find them bad. Burritos and lentils could go together well. Today going to do something with a couple hashbrowns in the Breville oven, have an egg done with lentils, beans, beefless ground. Microwave those for a few minutes, let it cool then chop in with some cheese and heat the chopped stuff in a pan for a minute or two. Need to make sure I am using small amounts of each when doing a lot of ingredients. Later when I fall into the I don't know what to have trap, can simply have a meat pie and the lentils or a burrito and lentils. I will see and if remember to will post meals. The mini pizzas which I thought were a good deal actually are one half the size of the normal ones I get. I am thinking of baking one or two up first, let cool and toss in with a couple eggs and rice. Put some garlic in the bowl, microwave and do another chop with cheese and heat again in either the air fryer OR pan on the burner. I will post. Eggs will hold anything in the big bowl and the chop help me enjoy them more.

EDIT MEAL 1 I did make 2 eggs, added bit of butter and ranch dressing, put in beefless ground, lentils and beans and 2 of the tiny mini pizzas. Heated in microwave for 6 mins, wanted everything to cook through. I did take yogurt and some queso with taco seasoning. It was surprisingly good. Did not add cheese or feel the need to chop it up. Yummy.

Also want to open my plain yogurt, use those with other seasonings as a savoury binder.

Floors need doing as well, really like the mopping. Planning to take a sock mop and put on the bristles of a broom and dust out the bottom of the couch, just have to clear out stuff being stored under there. Then do a nice mop with the swiffer wet jet. I like the smell of the original but al like taking lid off and putting in my own stuff. I will see. I have three more bottles of stuff, accidentally ordered more, meant to get one.

Enough yapping. Been typing a while but lost post about 4 times. Realizing I need to hold up my right hand so that it does hit a key to delete. Hoping everyone has a good day and in pockets for everyone.

@mara51506 True ,why not make a buck or two when you have down time. I used to earn in swagbucks but I fell off the wagon with that. I still use Fetch which involves nothing but taking a picture of receipts to earn points. Maybe I'll pop back on swagbucks and see what's happening.

Hope everyone is having a good day☺️

@cookie54 I was a die hard swagbucks user back in the day. I was savvy enough to run my work software on swagbucks and do the tv clicks for 150SB and watch the different videos. There are fewer offers for Canadians as it is and have largely let it fall off. When I think of it, I will play the 6SB free games and do the trivia. I use Justplay mostly, watch a lot of ads or play games I like or Moneytime, there is an easy peasy game to play and I watch the proper ads in between. I also have bing and Mistplay, I should do that since no need for leveling up and stuff.

I am doing chores. Floors, laundry and cat care stuff. Realizing I do not do floors properly. Need to completely sweep or vacuum debris or else when mop, leave ring of dust around furniture when mop. Going to fix that first. Sweep stuff first, vacuum debris then mop avoiding the pile of wet dust around furniture.

Lots of food ideas. Thinking another egg meal, 1/4 cup rice seasoned whilst cooking with cheese powder from Kraft Dinner, add some taco seasoning to flavour up the rice. Lentils and beefless ground added as well, may require two eggs. I am going to heat in microwave 6 mins, puny 700 W requires longer cooking time. May add some cheese as well. Make everything one bowl except the rice. I am thinking it could be very good. Will post what I have later of course.

EDIT 1 I am doing the rice first, added various seasoning to the water to give rice flavour, add little more water. A lot of taco seasoning, did not grab KD cheese powder. I did wind up finding tortillas of all things, cheese taco shells and a cheesy sauce as well. Need to use some of that up but not now. Need to put the eggs, 1/3 cup of the lentils and beans, sprinkle some cheese as well, should be very good.

EDIT 2. I did almost all the ingredients besides lentils and eggs. Decided to use egg cooked in mini griddle on a toasted english muffin later. Lentils were not available. I did use the flavoured rice, beefless ground and beans, put shredded cheese in as well, did the Microwave for 4 mins since no eggs, once out of microwave put binders, sour cream and lime crema and garlic mayo, not too much of either. Was really good.

Hope all have a great day, in pockets for all.

@irishlove I am glad Buddy is such a good addition to the family, glad you are off Ibrance as well. I am sorry you've got problems orally, will be in your pocket for that to be solved for you. Never apologize for a longer post. I tend to run long at times too and there is nothing wrong with talking via the keyboard. Have you met my posts, especially as I drone on about food or budget boosting, floors and laundry.

I woke to what I thought was my alarm but it was the cancer centre reminder of Wednesday Herceptin the only other appointment is Sunday 28th but will book that I think on Wednesday. It will be a long day since seeing MO as well and having bloodwork. Thought about changing then thought why bother, just go and do the MRI, make sure necrosis is not reappearing. I am not worried anymore, if it comes back post Jan surgery, I will find if there are more treatments that can be done.

I will be doing laundry, I have some clothes and bedding to do, did not finish the cycle so starting again. Not worried, use so little detergent no difference. Still gets really sudsy in there, got socks to clean up as well, for that will either wash them separately in the smaller washer OR the small salad spinner I kept as a mini washer. I works well, do small bits of laundry in there, still spin using my portable machine as well. I do spin stuff twice now, still use the wool balls and save electricity as it does not take long to dry stuff in there anymore.

I will be using lentils, rice, eggs, cheese and possibly beans along with beefless ground. Small portions of each. 2 eggs. Microwave those, choose whatever seasoning to go in. I did happen to find unopened liquid cheese from Old El Paso soft taco back so thinking can make a mix of the quesos I have using cheese, tostitos queso and some of the queso crema. Mix them up and put them in a previously used tostitos jar to live in the fridge. I will see. Posting meals as they come up.

EDIT MEAL1 So little bit less stuff in there. 2 hashbrowns heated in breville oven. Once done, I did chop up 1/3 cup of black beans with shredded cheese. scooped into a large bowl and added a burrito. 3 mins 30 seconds for beans and burrito to heat up in microwave, dumped in the e hash browns. Cut everything up. Added salt and sour cream dry seasoning, a bit of ranch seasoning and a bit of caesar seasoning. I love how the beans when chopped into cheese come out looking like a ground beef texture. Meal was delicious if I do say so myself. No idea what I would have for the second meal. I will check the freezer and see what I come up with, could be eggs and sliced frozen peppers with beefless ground. I really don't know. Dishes are soaking in hot water and dish soap for now.

I do hope everyone has a good day, in pockets for all too.

@irishlove - Irish, so sorry about your tooth and your inability to get anything done for it in a timely way. Ugh! I also understand your feeling about just existing and not really living. I don't feel that way all the time, but I do sometimes, and it does seem like that feeling becomes more predominant over time, as we all trudge on here with our various meds and treatments. Just not right. In your pocket and fingers crossed that you find a solution (an easy painless one) very soon!

@wren44 Glad you get out with DD and to the store. Lunch box is a good idea, we just don't know how much we need when at our appointments.

I take a crossbody bag for the water and charger with cords, god forbid I run out of power. My main bag is also crossbody so have one on the left should, one on the right. The main bag has keys, wallet and holds my phones. One is main phone for calls other does my music. I always ask for cheese, digestive cookies and gingerale in the chemo suite.

I also got a grocery delivery delivery, bought kitten food, my cat Tigger is a bit thin for my taste so increasing his calories. He does have a good appetite though. Needed lightweight litter as well. I used to do it on Amazon but they started saying I had to buy a minimum of two, PIA when only need one. Got myself some Oh Henry and a ouple of Tostitos queso stuff.

Hi all. Hope your families enjoyed fathers day and/or lovely summer day. We were blessed with rain. Might just help with the water bill. In this heat I find the plants need watering a.m. and p.m. I see the birds are coming for water. I moved the bird bath and put a pump in it to try to attract more birds. DH removed the ragged Crepe Myrtle from side yard. It was up against the home and dragging on the roof.

I think tomorrow night will be the one night only that the night blooming cyrus plant does it's thing. There are 6 trumpet like closed flowers that will open one night only and then dry up and fall of from the main plant. It's so worth the wait as it's beautiful. More trumpets may form again in the season.

Mara, you amaze me with your ability to live life to the fullest. As my Grandmother use to say "She doesn't let any moss grow under her feet". LOL It's so wonderful to have some family nearby, even if the contact is minimal. As my DH will be 80 soon, it's harder for him to take care of this house. He spent most of the day eating brownies we made for Father's Day, playing with Buddy and sleeping. I believe the slow moving blood cancer may be causing severe fatigue. But also the "feel like" temp. of 104 the other day didn't help.

Hi Wren. So good to see you post. I hope your DH is finding the Memory Center comforting and aiding with his needs. I imagine it's difficult for both of you and missing each other. So glad family was able to visit for Father's Day to celebrate.

First thing tomorrow is find the oral surgeon who will take me on as a patient. I believe my dentist is afraid to deal with me due to health problems. Then I need to alert Primary Care Dr. of kidney stones (definetly fighting them). Reading up on the cause covers about every drug I am on and other illness I have could be causing them. Thank you everyone for your love and concern. Sometimes I feel like I'm just falling apart and forget I need to take one step, one problem at a time.

In pockets for all your scans and needs.

    Irishlove

Hope everyone is having a good day. They are testing fire alarms in all of our apartments today and tomorrow, so I'm planning to essentially not be here for two days. The sound is absolutely awful and it goes on randomly all day, each day. A friend and I are going to go out to breakfast tomorrow, and maybe do some other stuff, but I'm on my own today, and with no car, as it needs to go in the shop. I'll probably spend the day here in the business district in which I live, just going to the library and a couple of local eating places, just to kill the time. These Xeloda side effects don't help either - even on this "off week", as they can actually be even worse than during the "on week". So many here complain about the volume level of these alarms, but our maintenance people tell us the extremely (ridiculously!) loud sound level is required by law. Oh well, this too shall pass. At least it's sunny and warm (low 80's) and that will be nice for walking around the neighborhood.

Thinking of everyone here and hoping all are doing reasonably well!
