@tanya_djamila Happy belated birthday!
Nothing on the agenda today, expecting cat food and litter deodorizer from Amazon.
Laundry on spin cycle, will move to the dryer and then floors. Got breakfast in the rice cooker, added bunch of corn, lentils and ham. Set to a longer heating cycle. Put some spicy taco shells in with cheese and white cheese seasoning. Will take an hour. Let it all go through, put in bowl and add a binder for extra creaminess. Probably mayo. Post if really good.
Meal 1 Had a little too much liquid, really did not need to much of that, need to only put water in if I need to season rice. Just makes it take so long to boil off the water. It was in rice cooker for 90 minutes. Debating taking the rice only approach or the partial packages of pasta too. I will say it was quite delicious. If I want food to turn out soft without burning, it is perfect for that hands down, just want to make it done within a half hour.
For now, between times, watching 9to5. I have always liked that movie after Dolly Passed on.
I hope all have a good day and in pockets for everyone.

@tanya_djamila - Wishing you a very, very Happy Birthday! I agree with the others that these birthdays are all extra special when you are in our situation. Celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! 🎂🍨🎊

Tanya- Happy Belated Birthday!!

I slept decently yesterday, I usually sleep around 6 hours for the most part, not sure if because I am getting older but that seems to be enough for me.
Got a couple items on their way, using instacart app for this one, just needed english muffins and loperimide, should be here around 1030.
EDIT loperimide and what turned out to be sourdough english muffins, not on purpose already arrived. loperimide in the amount I was wanting is sold out.
EDIT 2 Instead of doing fast food delivery, decided to get a couple of bags of chips, I hope the have them. If not, will be refunded.
Floors are on the agenda of course, at least is sunny here, we were under a tornado warning last night but sunny today.
Not sure on meals, think I could stand to make a partial box of Kraft Dinner, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 cup and use sour cream and onion seasoning and mayo to make it creamier. Lentils will definitely be added too. I could also heat up a burrito, to go alongside it since I still have a lot of them in the freezer to eat up, lots of hash browns and diced potatoes.
EDIT 3 The actual meal wound up to be 1/3 cup of knorr garlic pasta and 1/3 cup lentils and a pat of garlic spread, subbed in for the butter, heated for 1/2 hour in the rice cooker, was quite good. Throughout the day, I munched on some sour cream and onion rings by humpty dumpty, very yummy.
Hope all had a good day today, was in pockets for everyone.

Nothing too much new here, woke up to a dream where my Mom left me at the mall and could not find her, has to be related to her passing away back in 2019. I was not overly perturbed when I awoke and knowing what caused it helps quite a bit.
I still do not have anything on the agenda, thinking next week, look into updating my health card, expires on Nov 11, my birthday, rather get it sorted early.
Not sure about food yet, got some new sour dough english muffins so could do something with an egg, lentils, rice and half a muffin and garlic. How I will make them all I will see. Could use red lentils to thicken up the egg, rice and lentils and put some good seasoning in. I will post later.
EDIT MEAL 1 Decided to add a bit of everything to the meal. 1/3 rice, 1/3 lentils, one egg and a mini pot pie. I have it going for an hour and a half and did not put more than 1/3 cup water to cover rice. There is white cheese powder and the regular cheddar powder in there as well. It was friggin delicious.
While waiting for it will watch May Day with Ryan Reynolds, looked interesting to me. MayDay was a funny but not too funny movie, sort of a lighter version of behind enemy lines, Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branaugh were excellent in it. It plays on the apple streaming channel.
Laundry about to start, got some stuff in dryer at this point. Get that stuff done earlier in day, cat area to be done, floors etc. I actually did not leave anything soaking which is amazing.
I hope everyone have a good day and in pockets for all.

@mara51506 Dreams can be so strange sometimes, glad you were able to shrug it off. I barely ever remember much of my dreams sometimes just bits and pieces. Hope you had a good day, I haven’t seen May Day will have to put that winter watch list. Looking forward to a nice cooler weather weekend!
Hi to all here hope it was a good day and you have a nice weekend ❤️

Update from here:
PET scan and MO visit this last week, plus labs and Xgeva. The Verzenio/Imlunestrant combo I have been on for 7 weeks is working. MO said, "now, for how long, 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year". We all know each subsequent line of treatment usually lasts shorter and shorter; this is my 4th line. We are still not addressing the HER2 positive change from the April liver biopsy- - the Enhertu did not work at all. I guess with the next progression we will re-biopsy and go from there. For now, treating with a CDK 4/6 and a SERD is working.

Happy Labor Day week-end to all. Mara, I think Canada has one too (Labour Day) at a different time? Here's hoping everyone has a pleasant and enjoyable three days; and as pain and worry free as possible! You all are just the best.

Hello Everyone!
Whipping by to say hello. Have missed so much activity since last I was here that I have no clue what's going on with who. But I did gather that @tanya_djamila had a birthday - Happy Birthday to you! And that @shanagirl had some fantabulous news! I see that is has been some time since @micmel has posted. I hope all is well with her and would love to give her a hug. This place was like a second home for me back in the new and horrible times of first becoming a cancer patient. This coming December will be the 10 year anniversary of that fateful mammo, the one I had because my boob would not stop hurting and aching. I fully expected menopause to be the cause. Not Cancer. But … we all know this story, don't we?Love and hugs to all! Hope you have a beautiful Fall and a break from the summer heat. We are finally able to breath clear air and see the sky after a summer of forest fire smoke and ash on everything. Stay well!
8 -
@candy-678 I am glad your drug has been working for 7 weeks, in you pocket for it to last much longer.
@runor I did see on facebook that New Zealand, Australia and Mexico had firefighters heading home after helping with our fires, definitely glad the smoke is gone.
I slept OK but am having a real balance issue, not like dizzines but my legs feel like they are going all over the place. I have not fallen as of yet, thinking I will grab a cane or two for extra support. At the moment it is annoying. No falls yet.
Got laundry and a desire to do floors, they need doing every day. Cat area needs clearing out as well, get those on the go. Figuring out my food for today as well.
MEALS TODAY Had a portion of mexican rice, part of a full box with lentils and canned ham added. Took 90 mins to heat through but it did taste very good with the seasoning that came with the package. I spooned out around 1/3 of it and took one of my many burritos. When the rice, ham and lentil was done, put it on plate with burrito for 3 mins in the microwave, very enjoyable.
MEAL2 is just a buttered sourdough english muffin and new peanut butter purchased yesterday.
Hope everyone has had a good day and in pockets for all.

Slept alright, all laundry was done yesterday and completed if you can believe it. I also cleared my sink before cats were fed, cleaned up a mess from Tigger as well. I just love the paper towel for that purpose. Use the paper towel and a spray I use for sinks, toilets and even wash machines. Smells very good. No balance issues today, need to find more bed exercises to do for legs, can't put myself on floor and reliably get up
Happy labour day, believe you have that in US as well so nothing is open here. At some point this week or next, need to get on top of renewing my health card, runs out in November, prefer to handle it earlier than feel panicked about it. Then since I do not have a passport or drivers license I have a purple ID card and it will run out next year. Plan to do that early, need that if bank asks for extra ID.
I am going to get recycle and garbage together tomorrow as the day moves ahead after labour day and did not bother with the recycle, debating leaving a box for Tigger as well. I will see.
Doing some laundry using some powder detergent that is years old, I prefer liquid if I am honest but feel it would be silly to just keep the powder in the linen closet. I don't feel the pull of buying laundry supplies like I used to feel but would like to get them used up.
Food is a mystery, I have so much. If I want to keep it simple, can simply take one of the million burritos, 1/3 lentils,1/3 cup rice which would be my complete protein and add an egg. Het up the lentils, rice and egg and heat up in the rice cooker. Start it on quick rice setting. I do need to check the fridge as I do have leftovers in there which had ham, rice and lentils. I will post later what I have.
I do hope all have a good day, in pockets for all as well.

Runor~ my good friend nice to see you here. I’ve been busy with my daughter and getting her back to her life. Cancer is evil. I misss seeing pu around and our talks. I was glad to hear you’re doing ok. Worry about the hubby. They slow down too. I still see my husband as this young strong man. I have to remind myself he’s 60.
Happy birthday Tanya 🎁🎊🌹🎂🧁🍭🍦🥮🍥🍩 hope you’re well hugs to you.
Sending love to each of you. I read when I can. Seems the days get away from me anymore. Love. You all ~M

@cookie54 Thank you, I do feel more balance, dunno why but I will take it.
I slept well last night, no real dreams. When I woke up was poking around facebook, some political comments more comments on looking at pictures of meat I would not like to eat. I do not comment on that kind of site unless there is something positive I can say. Don't like the totally negative comments. I still comment most on cheap meal ideas. I do stick to my rice, lentils, beans and one egg. It does taste good out of the rice cooker. If having all four ingredients, take 1/4 cup of the rice, lentils and beans and add egg later. All fits in the rice cooker. If only lentils and rice, 1/3 cup each as well. Debating on making some taco cheese seasoning, taking a pack of the Kraft Dinner cheese and dump it in with Old El paso taco mild seasoning. I will see about that. Guessing would be good. I will post meals later on because I often change my mind about stuff.
EDIT1 I put 1/3 cup of Kraft Dinner, 1/3 cup water and 1/3 cup dried redlentils, mixed those with the taco/cheese seasoning. Heated on a quick rice 30 min setting, when plated, just put a small squirt of sueso and jalepeno and sour cream and lime crema. It really was very good. Rest of the taco/cheese in one air tight container, Kraft dinner pasta in another container.
Laundry and floors to do first. Yesterday I was sure it was Labour Day until mid afternoon when I finally clued in that it was Sunday. Today is Labour Day so happy Labour Day to both countries today. Hope everyone has a good day and in pockets for all.

Hi everyone. So great to see Runor and Micmel stopping bye to say hello. Cookie thanks for thinking of me. Just seems the days have gotten away from me. I'm doing ok. Saw the MO and he referred me to RO for my hip. NED, but I fussed about the horrible pain and asked if radiation could help. My appt. is Thursday.
DH turned 80! Still holding out on treatment for NHL or CLL. He'd need another biopsy. SLeeps alot, but he takes such good care of me. Say Neuro. Talked about the eye pain and not able to find a Opthalmologist is my network. My pressures are high, but not to the point of great concern. He wants me to see an Opto and follow pressure checks. Say Urologist last week. Lovely Dr. Concerned about bladder with the Pet/CT scan seeing blood in bladder and symptoms I have. Can't get in for next appt. till November. He'll insert the ball with camera to take a look. Up to date on appts.
Wanted to tell you a short story that may pertain to you. Target has a recall on wet wipes. They have fragrance and packaging that made wipes contaminated. Been associated with UTI's and pneumonia! I stick with no fragrance brands, but DH slipped up and bought a batch of Lavendar scented. I always cut the packages upon and put them in a clear plastic container that seals tightly. I had a few wipes left from the lavendar group and placed a package of non-fragrance on top. I noticed a blue fluid on the bottom of the container. I threw it all out and since I did that, I have not had burning down below that would be significant enough to wake me up, and burn all day. Plus no UTI since. Might be coincidental on the UTI's, but what an improvement on starting the day with one less painful area.
Tanya, belated Happy Birthday. I hope both you and your DH are doing better. Shanagirl, hope the weather cooperates so you can put some miles on your feet and enjoy the bay. Mara, so glad your DH is reactive to your alert, even though it was false alarms. He certainly does care a great deal. To each and every dear friend, I'm in your pocket for all your needs.

I slept OK last night, hard to get out of bed due to some back pain I have been dealing with. Being strict with myself allowing moaning and groaning when get up but no to crying and feeling too sorry for myself, taking advil and Tylenol and doing what I need to get done through the day. I normally cry when it is normal, non cancer pain. Unsure what I did and no need to figure it all out.
Nothing but chores on the agenda, laundry, floors, sinks and toilet to be done, cat area and garbage to go to the curb. Will do it step by step, need to empty containers indoors and my outdoor ones as well should be easy enough.
I have pulled out some of the shredded cheese and will be opening more lentils and beans. Will store them separately and add them to other meals, still have a lot of mini pot pies as well. I can figure out meals from there. I have to say the cheese powder I too from a Kraft Dinner meal mixed with taco mild seasoning from Old Elpaso is so good together. Easy to put a tsp of cheesy taco goodness in whatever is made. Will post on meals later.
I do hope everyone had a good labour day as a cross border holiday for both of our countries, in pockets for everyone too.

@irishlove You have got me thinking about wet wipes and UTIs. Hmmmm… Perhaps I will switch to non-fragrance and see if it makes a difference since I too struggle with UTIs. My lab results have been coming back with bacteria and I know how careful I am. Hmmm…

Oh Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a good Labor Day weekend! Mine was so wonderful. 🥰
I’m so glad to see @runor and @micmel . this is a great morning.. I’ve been feeling so good lately since my last hospitalizations. My energy is back, I’m up doing things during the day and I had a wonderful Dinner with my daughter and cousin and her husband at my Son in Law’s restaurant on Sunday. Food was delicious as usual and I felt so good to get out and get dressed and makeup. Especially after this terribly long recovery all Spring and Summer from the horrible hemorrhagic Pneumonia and relapse. I also feel great off the Verzenio. and no chemo pills . So that’s my update all. have a beautiful new week.🌷🩵

@shanagirl What an uplifting post! It was so good to read how well you are feeling and that you had a good day. Smiling with you!

Nice to see Runor and Micmel popping in to say hi.
Here's my little update. Had a PET scan on Friday and MO appt today. My current treatment of Orserdu/Ibrance seems to be working so that's good news. In between those two appts, I did a whirlwind trip to Western Massachusetts to be a surprise guest at one of my best friend's 70th birthday party. I think I spent more time enroute than I did socializing but I was really grateful to be well enough to attend, to still be alive honestly. I chatted with a man who is 14 years into his Stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis. Both of us just try and keep going. I've been busy working at the Cubs-I know there's quite a rivalry between us and the Phillies right now to get the top Wild card spot. Hoping we can both keep wild card slots-anything can happen from there.
Our weather is beautiful at the moment-hope everyone else is also enjoying more temperate conditions.

Everyone sounds so good. As can be anyway. Too much stress here. I NEED to get away for a little bit but can't go far. Tomorrow I'm heading to Madison, WI For a few days to see a big regional quilt show and the botanical gardens. Maybe even a little shopping. All only an hour and 20 minutes from home.

@irishlove Sorry your hip is causing you pain, can;t hurt to see what RO has to say. Glad DH is still being monitored and doesn't need any treatment at this time. Fingers crossed that he won't ever get to the point of needing it. In your pocket for Thursday.
@mara51506 Hope your back feels better soon, I hope you took it easy today and maybe did some heat/ice to get relief.
@chicagoan Great news on your PET, glad your treatment is doing it's job! Oh that sounds so nice to be the surprise guest, I'm sure your friend was so happy yo see you there. Fingers crossed that both the Phillies and Cubs make it that far.I'm ready for Eagles football this weekend actually I enjoy all the games.
@shanagirl Well I am soooo happy to hear the joy in your post!! You have waited so long to get back to doing the things you enjoy and I am absolutely thrilled to hear this! 😄
Well summer boating 2026 is a wrap! We had a beautiful weekend on the water with family and moved out of our summer rental yesterday. We were blessed to be able to enjoy the season. I had my fill and I'm ready for Fall!
Hi to all here and in your pockets for your appointments and any struggles 💕

Well, I was lucky, a young person was walking buy as I was rolling my garbage bag down the steps and she offered to bring it to the curb, I let her as I am low energy today, there are lovely people here. I need to actually make smaller bags I know but glad to have had help, this was last night but it was very much appreciated.
I have not done anything much today, started out depressive for no discernable reason so just went about normal chores, laundry, floors, etc. Decided a Mcdonalds breakfast could be helpful and it was. Tonight am having a strange sort of meal. Wanted one of my bigger meat pies and some diced potatoes with some lentils. I cooked up the meat pie first, it says not to use a microwave less than 1000W BUT I always add two minutes. I figured I could heat the meat pie first then scoop into the rice cooker. Using a longer cooking setting and stirring around every once in a while. Will have gravy in there so salt and a tiny bit of ranch with bacon should be enough. Will post later if it is good. The diced hashbrowns just turn into proper potatoes. I don't expect any crunch to happen with that. May also be a big enough meal for left overs, we will see.
POST MEAL Not sure how many diced hashbrowns added, round a third of a cup of lentils and a bigger beef pot pie with its' own veggies. I first cooked the beef pie for the 2 mins extra to make sure it cooked through, did not trust the rice cooker to handle that food safely. Once heated in microwave, I plopped in the middle of the rice cooker. I wound up stirring ingredients every 15 mins or so. Had it on a brown rice setting, that just brings cook time to an hour and 20 minutes. By the time it was done, diced hashbrowns became proper potatoes, meat pie softened up and the lentils were there. Scooped out onto a plate, added sour cream and onion seasoning and salt, used mayo as the binder, was going to use ranch and bacon but even though had not been opened, it exp in may, I sniffed and stuck my finger in, tasted off. The mayo, sour cream and onion seasoning and salt made it taste wonderful. I could still get the gravy element in there as well. As said, it was a long process but good meal, was unable to finish all of it so have more for tomorrow as a side, probably have with a burrito, have to see.
