@cookie54 Yes the caring people certainly outnumber the bad eggs that is for sure.

Slept OK, got up, started a large laundry much to my cats' chagrin, they wanted food, they endeavoured to trip me by staying under foot but were unsuccessful, guess in a cat's mind, any way to get attention is good. 😂

Not sure on meals yet today. I still like throwing everything in the rice maker, does not burn at all. The meat pie cooked first in the microwave was really good with the diced potatoes turning into proper potatoes and of course the lentils. I do have leftovers from yesterday so will start with that and add to it. If good will post on it. Also working on finishing up my wee yogurts. Was debating using one of them to add to a rice and beans with lentils dish and add a bunch of seasoning to it. If it works out, may buy some plain yogurt later. Also debating using some of my boxed stove top stuffing, add to diced potatoes, lentils and the like. Treat my rice cooker like a small crock pot and that seems to work. Air fryer still does hashbrowns and other stuff I prefer to be crunchy.

MEAL 1 Put leftovers from yesterdays meal, dumped in rice cooker, put some extra beans and lentils and put in 1/3 cup chicken stuffing and some canned chicken. Used steak seasoning and garlic butter seasoning as well so meal may taste a bit salty, I will post on taste, rice cooker is doing 1 hour 20 mins with stirs and will bind with mayo, not add salt to the finished product. It really tasted good, turned the stuffing into proper stuffing and that did go well with the chicken. I was also finishing up leftovers from yesterday, delicious to be sure.

MEAL 2 will be simpler, sourdough english muffin buttered and toasted, I let it cool down and add an obscene amount of peanut butter but that will be later on.

I do hope all have a great day, in pockets for all for appointments, SE or just hoping for good days for us all.

I am still posting as well. Good sleep, laundry on go, floors to be done and of course the whole what foods do I want to have. If want rice cooker stuff, eggs, beans, lentils, rice and cheese could be a good combo, small amounts of each with seasoning of choice.

MEAL1 Weird. Got the 1/4 cup measures of rice, lentils and beans. 1/4 cup water. Weird ingredient is one of my lightly strawberry yogurt for extra protein, added cheese/taco seasoning, sour cream seasoning and some garlic, been going up to the cooker every once in a while, give a stir and a taste. I can barely pick up any yogurt taste but it is tasting pretty good. I also added some shredded cheese too. I will post again. I do have the cooker set to brown rice which is timed for 80 mins.

Meal 1 was freaking delicious. The amazing combo of above ingrededients tasted so good I was saying mmm the whole time. I was smart for adding savoury flavours to reduce the strawberry flavour. Lots of proteins, fibre from lentils/beans and rice with some canned chicken. It was great and finished the whole thing.

I will post meals as I do and hope all have good days, I am in pockets for those feeling the effects of today's date as well.

@micmel - Thanks so much for checking in - it's always so nice to hear from you. I absolutely share your thankfulness for everyone here, and the fact that we have each other for love and support. Such a somber day. Sending hugs and best wishes to you. Good thoughts for all of your family too.

I wound up watching a couple things, the Sept 11 programs from Canada, Gander NFLD coverage of the thousands of people brought into a tiny town so they had somewhere to go til planes allowed to land a CBS special about the horrific events as well, cried again for all of those lives lost. May they all be at peace now, the planes, tower staff and firefighters there and the after effects of breathing all of that material by running in and being there day after day for the cleanup. I would also remember about the people on the United flight that managed to bring the plane down themselves to mitigate the damage. I know they are heroes. We should remember what evil in the world can cause one nation to do to another and keep our eyes out. Oh well, enough doom and gloom from me. Making separate post for today, feels like this needs to be left here.

I did not sleep at all, was doom scrolling watching videos, not 911 all night but did watch silly videos to lighten my mood.

I got all laundry from yesterday done up, Just need to remove cloths from dryer. More laundry will acrue as the day goes on.

I am reading on Facebook those cheap meal ideas but decided to put that on the wayside, I find myself triggered by some of what people are buying and all the rude comments to the posters. I have mentioned what I eat if a post is asking that but largely stay mum unless poster is asking for ideas as a single person. My ideas may sound weird but those Knorr Pasta sides or even Kraft Dinner can be split up easy, KD cheese pack can also be added to taco or cheese seasoning as an add in to rice, beans and cheese. A box of the KD noodles usually lasts for 3 to 4 meal additions and different seasonings. Beans and lentils go without saying, I have some of each on the regular. Can turn diced hash browns into real potatoes. I am thinking Thanksgiving, we celebrate before US and I can see turning say canned turkey, some of the stuffing with lentils and beans and rice on the bottom. Cheap enough to buy stuff to make up gravy. Will keep pondering on that and meals.

MEAL 1. I put in a couple of frozen hashbrowns, 3 eggs, 1/3 cup lentils, 1/3 cup rice as well. 1/3 cup water. Added some ranch dressing, not much, don't want soup. Added taco seasoning and a generous amount of the sour cream and onion seasoning. Shredded cheese handful added in and then I set rice cooker to brown rice setting which for me is 80 minutes. In that time I did stir it around. When taken out with the scoop, plated some and could not finish the plate, it was delicious but super filling. I LOVED this combo. My thoughts are should have another couple of meals for sure. Looking at some burrito and a side of this stuff.

Laundry, floors, food and such will all feature in my day, will find a light movie to watch or watch people on youtube play my favourite video games. Listening to the player comment is fun and reminds me of being a kid watching other people both in arcades back in the day and my brothers play them too and just enjoy the comeraderie. Lets me see games I cannot afford and it is a lot of fun.

Oh well, nothing on the agenda for now, will post meals here as usual, I hope all have a good weekend and in pockets for all.

I did wind up on a mall walk of all things with DB and SIL. I did sit down a few times when SIL stopped in stores that was fine, she wanted me to walk slower, no heavy breath but legs were protesting. I skipped No Frills shop and we went to mcdonalds. Had a happy meal, cheeseburger, mini fries and apple juice. They give a squeeze yogurt type of thing which I just finished. Nice to see them, brought up to date on stuff they are doing as well which is good.

@mara51506 Glad you got out today and were able to catch up with your brother and sister-in-law. You'll probably feel it tomorrow in you legs but hopefully it will be a good kind of soreness.

@chicagoan Surprisingly, I am not feeling sore muscles, not sure why but am glad for that, just glad to see them again. Also managed to not do a lot of shopping at the mall too. Got some soap at Bath and Bodyworks. They wanted me to spend 25.00 to get 5 but I do not need that much, one was plenty for 7 bucks instead.

Nothing on agenda for today. I did spend the night going to the bathroom but do not usually drink that much before bed, annoying but slept well in between. Floors, cat area, laundry and possible blankets need doing, I will see about that.

Meals will be featuring a lot of lentils, black beans and rice or pasta, have not decided yet. I have also discovered an enjoyment of adding a bit of stuffing mix, not the whole box into the mix as well, gives a good flavour, must check fridge as I know I have leftovers from yesterday. Post as usual once decided.

I hope all have a good day and in pockets for all.
