No drinking for me tonight. I had way too much scotch last night, stayed up way too late and had too busy of a day today to even thing about drinking as I'm too tired! This is a 6-day work week for me (ugh!) but I need the overtime pay so I can't really complain. I can't drink tomorrow night, either, as I have to be at work very early on Friday. I think I'll catch up on my drinking Sunday night when we have our holiday meal. And maybe Monday, too, as the store is closed!

And yes, Amy, the Vanille Royale is very good - smoother and yummier than Bailey's.

    Holiday cheer to all!

Hmmmm Im thinking maybe I should ask Santa for some Vanille Royale.

Janis: My goodness, after working all these days over the Holiday, your gonna be exhausted. It get pretty scary out there with the late minute shoppers.

Amy: This indeed is a goofy winter. Its warm here in the Chicago area also. Although, Im getting ready for work and its pouring rain right now. Glad its rain and not snow or ice though. Distorted humor has a big box of cinnamon bears for Mazer the Tazer. From Santa of course.

I didnt do any drinking last night either. The night before I had my fair share of Pinot Grigio. So much, that I blew off the wonderful dinner my husband made. Took my clothes off and left them right in that spot. I woke up in the morning only to find my 2 cats sleeping on them. Off to the cleaners they go. Black dress pants just dont cut it when they are wrinkled and covered with cat hair.

Hope you all have a great day. Im off and running. Busy in my line of work too. All the hospitals massively discharge people to rehabs for the holidays. Thats how they deal with their staffing issues. On the other hand, the SNF I work for, is full and we are gonna need as much staff as we can muster together.

    Have a great day.

    Hey Buds~

STILL don't have Internet access at the house, so am posting at work.

I'm still not ready for Christmas, and my family Christmas is tomorrow evening....guess I'd better get with it, huh?

I'm so disgusted - I ordered something from collectibles.com the last week of NOV, and still don't have it. When I inquire they just tell me it shipped on 12/4 and should be here any day. Grrr! Needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again.

Glad to hear everyone is drinking their fav holiday drink. The Vanilla Royale sounds yummy...might have to check that out. I bought some stuff in Jamaica called Jamaican Rum Creme - it's pretty darn good too.

Hope each of you has a wonderful holiday, if I don't talk to you before. And remember - don't drink and drive, you could hit a bump and spill your drink.

    Cheers ~

Hey Donna: Stress, anxiety, and presents not coming on time is so much part of the Holidays. I will sure be glad when this is all over.

Janis: So what exactly do you do at World Market? I was desperate. Had to find a special kind of licorice candy that my husband likes. There is a World Market in Northbrook so I stopped there and guess what? I found the Candy. Its the first time I have been there. It was so much different than I pictured. Its a pretty neat store.

Amy: Distorted Humor is nudging me. Wants more Apple wafers. And I dont have any!! He is also a little jealous that Im thinking of adopting Barbaro. Thinks Mazer the Tazer will be charmed by the horse of the year.

Enjoying Pinot Grigio, being serenaded by my husband - so its time to go. Have a great evening.

    Hey Buds~

Got my Internet working at home WooHoo! I spent at least 2 hours on the phone with the support tech Mon, and BF comes over last night and determines it's a faulty modem cable. Glad it was so easy to fix, but why do I feel like such a dumb ass?

Finished up the family shopping this morning on my way into work, so that's taken care of, but forgot I am responsible for sister's birthday cake tonight, so thank GOD, there's an awesome bakery close to the Target I stopped at this morning and I got a chocolate granache (sp?) with raspberry filling. It's to die for.

I have never been as stressed as I have been this Christmas. I'll be SO glad when it's over. What a moron, trying to move, go on vaca and get ready for Christmas all at the same time. Never again!

I am SO ready to leave this empty, boring office...wonder if anyone would notice if I snuck out early?

Anywho - Merry Christmas again sistas....

Let's all eat, drink, (a lot) and be merry!!!

    Cheers!

OH!!! Nice pic - thanks for sharing!!! I just got in from being out. Met a g/f for dinner (and wine of course) then stopped in at my old store and now I'm off to bed and then more retail craziness tomorrow. Only 16 more work hours before my day off!

Good Morning! Well I guess Im gonna do a repeat from last week. On this Holiday week-end, I have started my day with some Baileys and coffee. Then it will be off to making more cookies and fudge. Have to, cause I ate all the ones I made last week.

Donna: Moving, vacation and getting ready for the Holidays? If that were me, I would be a crazy woman by now.

    Vickie: Yummy picture

Janis: OMG this week-end is gonna be wild at your store. Good luck with the crowds.

OK gotta go. The baking begins.

First batch of fudge - well lets just say I carmelized it. So its hard as a rock and not edible. Second batch, came out great.

It is officially afternoon, and Im getting myself a glass of wine. Just love these Holiday week-ends.

I've read thru you guys' crazy post and thrilled to see a bunch who are a little left of center like myself. I was just diagnosed with ILC last week, but put off going to the doctor till after MY Jamaica vacation. Priorities of course. The Jamaica Rum creme is excellent and I had more than my share. Donna.....did you try the Dirty Banana while in Jamaica? Or even better the Bird Shit? Hope you guys don't mind another drinker to correspond with. I've got a case of beer with my name on it in the fridge and it is 5 o'clock somewhere, right? Marsha

Always welcoming new drinkin' buds. Are you sharing the beer? Could use one right now, darn fibroids are acting up. Maybe it'll numb them up. "Bird shit"?? What's that?

Well those Jamaican bartenders don't really like to tell you.....but it tasted like Jamaican Creme Rum, Dark Rum, Fresh Banana and Kaluhua. Topped of course with more dark rum. Yumm Also here's another one: Gumbay Smash: 1 ounce coconut rum, 1 ounce malibu rum, 2 ounces oJ, 2 ounces Pineapple juice and 1/4 ounce (just a splash really) of Apricot Brandy. Shake with ice. Now that one will just make you stupid after 2 or 3! Anybody else want to give me something different and yummy? Cheers, Marsha

Yep, very busy. Or should I say insane! Surprisingly, though, no real crabby people! Only 8 more hours to go! Had an excellent night out with my g/f last night. Tonight I wrapped the 4 (!) presents I am giving and tomorrow after work I'm off to my aunt's house for the family holiday dinner. Can't wait to pop open than bottle (bottles?) of wine! Happy Holiday's to all of you!

    Cheers!

A Cosmo Martini popsicle.....you gotta love that! (Good thing I had the booze to go with all that) Have a bleary, I mean Merry Christmas! Marsha

Hi Shel-Missing you lately. Hope you and Mac have a great Christmas and vacation in Florida. You girls deserve lots of happiness.

Just one question everyone. I know that I can post it here and get honest answers. Do you think that I'm too old to go braless?? I'm 49 and have my expanders in. Finally big enough to not wear the foamy inserts and frankly, sick of it all. Not big, but do have a bit of cleavage and booblets. Haven't gone braless since my 20's. Whatcha think?? Why do I always pose such idiotic questions?? Frankly I don't give a damn. I'm doing it either way. TeeHee!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ONE AND ALL!!

braless, braless, Lini is going Braless! Go for it Lini!
I'm 46 and um rather big and I love to go braless when ever I can get away with it I HATE BRAS! a man must have invented them they are the most uncomfortable thing there is! Unless you want to try a chastity belt of course!

Wish I could have a nice stiff drink but will have to let you girls do that for me. Not suppose to drink while onthe coumadin. Think I may have to find a way around that once I get my levels settled.

I had my port removed last Thursday and could use a good drink now. Maybe a percocet after I get back from my MIL and I don't have to drive anymore tonight. Yeah Think I will do that!

OK well I just wanted to toast all you wonderful ladies and may you have a very Merry Christmas!

I've been hanging out in the Circle the wagons thread off and on all day and I am full of
chocolate covered carmel flavored xanex lolly pops

assorted fruit flavored ativan hard candies

    rasperberry and vodka jello shooters

    rum balls

    rum soaked fruit cake

and good old fashion CHOCOLATE by the bucket full!

...that with the bottle of Disaronno my sister and BIL brought has made me feel just fine (boy that stuff packs a punch!!)...anyone want to join me...I still have ALL of Nathaniels gifts to wrap...aauugghh.
Hope that all my drinking buds that celebrate Christmas have a very merry and happy one!
Gonna go wrap...if I can still stand and make it to my bedroom...I can barely type. HMMM...not supposed to drink alcohol with Xanex...guess what...hasn't killed me yet!!

    Merry Christmas, ALL!!

One of my presents from sweet step-daughter is a mix of something called "Wine-arita". You mix it with a bottle of your favorite wine in a blender with ice. Can't imagine what the end result could taste like......anyone heard of/had it???? I plan to introduce it at a New Year's Eve party!!!! Happy holidays!!!

Hey Jaybird.....just got home from a Christmas breakfast at a friends' house (mamosa's and poinsetta's all around) and got a great bottle of Merlot to go with all those mixes in the gift basket! Guess when folks think "What should I get Marsha for Christmas this year?" they all had the same idea.....BOOZE. One friend said they were gonna get me a honey ham but decided I might prefer a case of beer and a carton of cigarettes so gave me a gift card at the grocery store instead! Thank God I'm not the only wacky person in my world! By the way Jaybird, I've read several of your posts and seen your picture....you are a beautiful lady and I sure hope that is a post-BC pix! Drinks all around on me... Marsha

Marsha - LOVE the Dirty Banana! Drank MANY of them! Don't know Bird Shit, but bet I'd love it too!!

Where are you staying? Are you going to Montego Bay? My siters and I had a blast, but then we'd have fun anywhere, 'cause we're all drinkers!!
As you may know, I rarely cook, and currently have a $65 Prime rib roast in the oven. Hope I don't screw it up! If I do, I'll be sure and serve extra wine and maybe nobody will notice!

Hope everyone is having a great Christmas.

As far as the braless thing goes, I was 60 and my new girls looked and felt so good, I went braless in dark tshirts and felt great! Stopped after the first year when they loosened up a bit, but it was fun while it lasted!
