The time difference between us is a bummer, I am having a lovely sauv'blanc, is now 9.21pm. Waiting to hear results from a girl on our Aussie site and I am getting sad, she hasn't posted so now concerned.

    Donna what was the red?

Janis, I have been lurking and you both look so happy and
    beautiful.

    Love Nav

Would love to see all of you at Pickstock!

Janis, what's up??? Sorry you've been out of sorts. what can we do to help turn things around?

    Cheers, hugs and prayers

I'll put Pinkstock on my calendar but I won't know about attending until closer to that time.

I saw Mr. Huge Monday night. He seemed out of sorts after finding out about Avery and then I was out of sorts about it the next day when he was avoiding me (he still is but not really, he plays around and steers clear of anything more than "occasionally") and I was just smacked in the face with REALITY and then thinking about my life and my 2-year cancer-free/survivor anniversary (today!) and taking Avery in to my onc's office to show her off to him and all the nurses I was just overwhelmed earlier this week but I'm okay now.

I'm not drinking tonight as I'm tired from a full day and from being hungover. I managed to drink an entire bottle of wine last night (over the course of 6 hours) so none tonight. I met up with some other single moms this morning and could hardly handle the two toddlers, a 4-year old and a 7-year old. Avery was the only quiet one!

Then I met up with a guy I'd had dinner with about a month ago. He's smart and articulate but not quite the lover I'd hoped he'd be but it was nice to 'celebrate' my anniversary with someone compassionate, and getting naked was a bonus!

So, I've just been hanging out with my baby girl, trying to enjoy my cancer milestone and trying not to think about not being here for her! Catch ya'll later!

    Cheers!

Thanks Dotti! Time flies! Unfortunately Winter doesn't go by half as quickly as Summer does! Maybe my priority should be moving somewhere warmer and THEN finding a new job!

I moved from Memphis to a place with 4 seasons, winter being the longest! It does seem to NEVER end. Enjoyed some Piesporter Mich. yesterday with friends as we fixed up goodie bags for a St. Paddy's Day Red Hats Luncheon (we retired ole ladies do have our fun!)

Janis, @ years is a good milestone.
I thought I would never find someone that wanted to have a ready made family, but I did actually I found several. I was just not ready for them. but I've been with my hubby since 90 and we combined our ready made familes. He had two and I had two. The right one will come around.

Dotti, I have been invited to join a Red Hats group, althou I still get to wear the Pink hat for a few more years. I have my first function with them later this month. I already know a lot of the group as they are my daughter's in-laws.

Nav, I hope the other gal just got busy and that the news wasn't too bad.

Poor girl suspected she had enlarged node under her "good" arm, which turned out to be a cyst. She had a car accident on the way to see her surgeon, she is fine though.

I pondered answering your 'question' at all and all I'm going to say is that I wouldn't do anything to risk my daughter's life. You obviously don't know me so don't make assumptions.

I think there were times during tmt that it was best for everyone around me if I had a few wines with my dinner or whatever!.

Be this right or wrong,I don't care. With chemo' induced menopause, mood swings, exhaustion, hot flushes, scared,
anxious, Young children at home (4&5) etc etc etc
If wine helps, I say do whatever it takes. There were many times I went to bed tipsy with not as many worries as I would of had sober, and KNEW my children were safe.

I think especially what we have all been through we know our limitations and boundaries.

Thanks (I think?) yowyow! Avery is the best! If ANYONE thinks that I'm going to do something stupid well then they're just wrong! I'm careful about pics but if I get an album together I'll be sure to send some of you the link! My little angel is fast asleep now so I am enjoying some wine (no, not an entire bottle!) but since my dogs wake me up at 6:00 and she's awake shortly thereafter I really cannot drink a lot. She's just too much fun not to be awake and alert for!

    Cheers!

Janis, (Re the thanks I think) yes that was my point and
    intention.

The other thing is some ppl can have a btl (its really only 4 glasses) over a period of time and not be too effected, and others may be a screaming mess. So how can anyone judge you. After reading this thread, I understand there would be ABSOL' NO WAY you would put your little angel in any harm.

    Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!!!

Just presenting some facts is all. Most people aren't aware of just how much it takes to be considered impaired.

And no worries, I'm gone. I think the responses speak for themselves.

Each to their own in my book, I would respect anyone who decides that alcohol has no place in their world.

So I would expect our choices to be respected.

But checked the link very informative and from now on I may still drink a bottle or two but will start at 3pm not 8pm, so I can spread it out.

    Ladies (my friends),

It seems there might be someone here that has it out for me so I'm going to scale back on my postings, only for that reason. For those of you who know my e-mail address you can contact me there. I'll still read but will not post on this thread often. I just don't trust this person so I have to do what I have to do.

Janis, It makes me sad but cross that someone has effected you like this. I have loved reading about your beautiful adventures with Avery (have been lurking for a while). You seem to have so much support and so many friends here. Please don't let 2 posts upset you enough to scale down your posts. I have boys 5 & 6 and I call this site and another Aussie site my professional councelling. My boys do have to drag me away from the keyboard to get fed. LOL But if I'm happy the whole family is happy.
