    A Birthday poem for Kathy:

I hastely tried to search online, for the perfect birthday rhyme.
But couldn't find a suitable poem, and just decided to make up my own.
You're cute and cuddly, just like a doll, I just want to grab your hand and take a stroll.
Actually just teasing! I think you're pleasantly mature, and even find you've got mysterious allure. Birthdays can sometimes be a little drab, I'm sure, but can be fixed with laughter, it's the cure! (and beer)  You're rare and a little eccentric, an awfully cool friend for a chick!
I wish you a super fabulous B-day, and hope there is a hundred more, every one more special than today.

    Hau'oli la hanau!

We've deteriorated to the level of suppositories here in El Paso.  I might as well swim with the lushes...I mean luscious.

Happy birthday, Kathy!!  This one's for you .(beverage, not suppository)

Wow, it sure has been busy here, I love it!

Hunky, you are sooooo awesome, I too laughed out loud when I saw the pic. Kathy will love it! Looks like she's getting a little toe tickle!

Happy Birthday girl, hope you had a great day!

I don't know where to begin, from all the posts! CAZ, glad to see you popping in. Had to laugh about the spilled wine and suppositories. Hope your mom heals quickly. Glad to hear the temps are cooler there. I know I was glad to get home, it's just too darn hot down there! Can't go outside for more than about 5 minutes, as that heat brings on the hot flashes.

Dee, love love love the poems.

Junie, glad the fish fry was a good turn out and no rain. Hope the critters didn't figure out how to get in the liquor bottles......what a waste that would be!

We did not get the tin at the auction, but got some from somewhere else, and it was FREE! I have a funny to tell about a drunk at Happy Hour. Don't have time right now, so join me for Pau Hana and I will tell then.

Dragonfly, welcome to the lounge! Hope you stop by often, lots of great fun and the company is the BEST!

    See ya all later.

LOL @ Dee! At least you have a rider, I push mow my 1/2 acre! But I DID buy a snowthrower last year so at least THAT chore isn't as bad anymore.

LOL @ Hunky! Your head is between some young man's thighs?????????? And, how good (or not?) does a foot feel at one's crotch? (sorry, it's been months for me.....)

Where oh where did the Summer go? Guess I just worked it away? Been doing mostly Manchester and Moscow, one easy one difficult. Glad to have a job so not complaining.

With Fall/Winter approaching we'll have to start making cold-weather drinks and hanging out in the hot tub - yes?

    Cheers!

    (off to Manchester tonight)

We must have a hot tub somewhere! If not, there is the heated indoor pool! Right?

    Ok, Story time:

Setting:  Bar/Lounge area at the hotel we are staying. Manager's Reception from 5:30-7:30, free drinks with munchies: Corn chips, salsa, hot cheese, etc.

We arrive at 6:30, because we had been out to dinner with friends, George, Rebecca and their daughter Emma (age 14). There is a half wall between the bar serving area and lobby area with seating. We are sitting in the lobby area.

Rebecca & Emma are laughing; because there is this guy on the other side of the half wall (we can only see him from the upper chest area and up) he has this big glob of cheese hanging from his arm! By the time I am able to lean forward to see, he is face down in a plate of chips & cheese! Passed out! We are just cracking up. The bartender (Brenda) had left the area and was coming back. She looks at me and I motion for her to "come here". She gets closer and I am pointing to the direction of the patron, face down in the plate of chips & cheese. She looks at me, keeps walking and says "THANK YOU!"

Later I find out, from Brenda, this guy had 3 or 4 double shots of vodka w/cranberry juice and had downed all of them within about 15 minutes! He comes to, sees the mess he was in, mutters something, takes his shirt over his head, to wipe the cheese from his face, and makes more of mess! Also, before all this, and before our arrival, Brenda tells me he and his wife had a big fight in the bar; he was trying to hide the smell of alcohol and had asked for limes to eat and then jalapeño peppers!

We go to leave 2 days later and saying good bye to Brenda, only to see that there was still cheese on the top of the half wall. She had cleaned the side of the wall, said there was cheese everywhere! She didn't know there was the mess on the top of this wall, and to top it all off, I find out the guy was standing! I thought he had a bar stool there that he was sitting in!

    Cheers,

    Lori

Lori, I think that is a pretty good little story.  Was he by himself during his nacho nap?  LOL.  I bet Emma got a big chuckle out of it anyway.  I guess he must not have been too tall either.  Sometimes,  fights with your loved ones can often end up as a "bad f'king fondue!"  Glad you are home now!  Cheers to free tin, ratbags, and cheese!  HunkyD

Glad you're home safe, Lori.  Wonder if the poor cheesy guy in the bar has any idea of his entertainment value?  Glad he just quietly faded into his nachos--have witnessed too many ugly, angry, violent drunks in bars.   OK--maybe I've missed something, but just what is all this tin for--what Old West Town??????  Enlightenment needed!

Taking my ML out to the pool--wow!  Does that pool have some stories to tell!

no hugs yet for those still in pain--just big ole' smackeroos!!!

The old west town is part of the fence we put around the side of the house. Needed to enclose the area. My flowers are there and the deer and rabbits were eating all my time and money I put into my flower bed. Most of the town is just a "front". Down on the end will be 2 actual buildings. One for seating and barbie, the other will be storage or a green house, we are not sure yet. So the tin is for the roofing. Here are pictures. We have more done since these, but I haven't taken any more pics yet.

Hi Buds~  remember me?  CRAP how the time flies....

Hunky - that picture is TOO funny - you have a real gift there.

Lori - your "town" is awesome!!  I can't even manage to finish the most basic home projects, so I'm super impressed!  How cool will it be when its all finished!  Are you getting ready for your wedding?  Love your story about "cheese face" LOL

I hate that I haven't been on in so long.  Lizws texted me last night about Mena's passing.  I don't know if any of you knew her or not, but she started the "Mojo" thread and was one of the first people I "met" here on the boards almost 5 years ago.

So - here is a toast to Mena.  A strong, funny, and inspirational woman.

Hope all is well here.  I really am going to catch up someday!!  I miss you guys!

    Cheers,

Lori--thanks for the pics--all I can say is "wow! that's one hell of a fence!!"

Donna--good to see you pop in--was so sorry to hear about Mena--we had some good chats back in the day and some hysterical PMs over her mojo thread!  Mena's in good company now.

CAZ--hope your mom is improving and Wahine--hope your dad is well enough to continue your fantastic journey.

Raining again, or should I say, still--or should I say deluging!   Have had torrential downpours off and on all day,  I think I have mold growing in my ears!

Much ML tonight, for sure!--taking my iced-down bucket out by the pool!!

    love ya, junie

Wow Lori, you may have an attraction that people will pay to see when you're all done. What a great imagination you have!  Hunky, you crack me up all the time. Kathy, you doing okay, how's your dad doing? Junie, I'll have a few ML's with you tonight, I had a fill yesterday and I need something to dull the pain. I would die from heart failure if I had to push mow a half acre. Jaybird, have you landed yet? Come on over and have a few with us gals. Kitty, I'll have a shot of takillya with you. Caz, I hope your mom is doing better so you can come out to play soon. So sorry to hear about your friend Mena.

    Hugs to you all!

    Morning ladies,

First let me say, I did not know Mena, but none the less, sorry to hear we have lost yet another sister. May she rest in peace and may her family find peace. Raising my glass!

Thanks for all the compliments on the fence. It was Darrell's idea....I have NO imagination! It is a fun project and we work on it when we can. We have a few more signs up, I'll take more pics in the future as we move along.

Donna, great to have you stop by, hope you are not still working your a$$ off! And ditto what everyone has said about Kathy's dad and CAZ's mom. I think Kathy is due home tomorrow. As for grass, we have 80 acres and just a small patch of it in my flower bed, so small.....Darrell cuts it with a weed whacker! Dee, we don't want people out here! That's why we are here! We are at the end of a dirt road, we can run around nekid if we want and no one would see us. Hope you were able to get that pain dulled! Had to laugh Junie at the mold in your ears.....eeewwwww!

Hunky, we ALL got a chuckle out of it. In fact, we were laughing so hard, I think all of our tummies hurt. Yes, he was alone until two of his daughters, little ones, maybe 12 or so, came and got him and took him back to his room.

ChEARS to mold and growing old!

Thanks for the well wishes RE Mom.  We've managed to counteract the constipation.  Her silly cast is so heavy, she's going to walk is circles for weeks after she gets it off.

Sand storm here in El Paso will keep me off the balcony for happy hour.  Somebody join me in the lounge for an adult beverage?

Hi ladies!  Dee, I hope you can forgive my ignorance thinking your sister was exposed to the H1N1 flu, rather than your daughter.  I was thinking about your post today and was hoping everything was going well.  I went back and re-read the post and realized I had a real DAA.  I hope your daughter is showing no symptoms.  I have not really been up to par lately.  Started spitting out internal stitches from the last surgery which required a little digging to get them out yesterday at Dr.  Back to the antibiotics.  I have to be well enough in 2 weeks to get this spacecraft off my chest and also my tram revisions.  Since I am spitting out apologies, I so hope that you are not PO'd at me Kathy for using your pic in the last picture.  Sometimes I just don't think.  If you were offended, I am sorry.  Hope your dad is OK and you are on the big bird headed home.  We miss you!  Junie, do not worry about the ear mold.  Just drink a little more and you might only notice a little mossy brain in the mornin'.  Come on out to the pool, I would love to have a drink now, and CAZ is here avoiding a sand storm dermabrasion. Casino, glad you popped in.  It was very nice to hear from you.  I know losing a BC sister is the pits, even if you have not met.  I will hoist for her indeed.  Jaybird, Kitty, just a quick shout out to you two.  Kitty, I can't remember when the Ta Ta chicks get to Vegas but hope you have a great time at the Pink Square event. Lori, love the western town theme.  Have you ever watched the dwarf show with the Roloffs on TV?  Reminded me of that kind of.  Counting down for your wedding!  All those I have left out in this big post, good wishes to all....Moss, sauce, and drinking to a loss!  HunkyD

Grabbing my ML and heading out to find Hunky by the pool.  CAZ, if you'res still in the lounge, come on out to the pool.   It is s t i l l  raining--I will go blind if the sun ever shines again!    Had one of those "wow" experiences early this evening.   I let the dog out back before dark and he was out in the yard doing his business.   It was kind of foggy, but just all of a sudden, the mist/fog came boiling up out of the valley and as I was watching the dog, he just started fading away until I could barely see him--no, I wasn't drinking!!  Then a little gust of wind came and blew the fog and there he was again.  It was really weird to see.

Have had problems all afternoon with tv/computer--think the rain is washing out cables/lines--we'll probably be drowned out later--I just hate that.   So glad it is always sunny and warm at our lounge...

    big hugggsss/or kisses to all.

    Morning ladies,

Seems as though I don't have time in the evenings to post. In the afternoon & evening I am out in the office on my computer out there. With it getting dark earlier, by the time I get dinner and other things done outside, it is starting to get dark. We shut off the power for the computers at that time, since we are on solar, which is why I don't get on the laptop in the house of an evening.

Junie, I hope you don't float away and the sun will come out soon. You can come here, no rain in I don't know how long! And the sun shines almost always! That fog incidence sounds like something out of the Twighlight Zone!

Dee, I had forgotten about your daughter until Hunky mentioned it. How is she doing?

CAZ, how long are you going to be in TX? That sandstorm can't be anything new to you, you get them down in the valley, don't you? Hope you and mom are doing well. I just know she is so grateful to have you there.

Hunky, had to laugh at your spacecraft comment, thought you were going to say you were spitting out little aliens! I hope the next couple of weeks go by fast, so you can be done with all of this and put it behind you! Will you be in the hospital for any time, or is it out patient? Feel better soon.

    Kathy, are you home yet?????

Jaybird, I think you are abroad again.

Hope everyone else is fab!    Lori

Home from Surgeons office.  Infuction is gone from the spitting stitches.  I am healing he said.  My spacecraft (TE) has shifted towards mars causing my discomfort. He told me I am done with fills. That alone is something worth drinking to.  I only have a couple weeks to go until the another fun vacation at the surgery center.  Getting my CL loaded in ice and heading for the pool.  No more swimming for me gals!  You guys are all on your own!  Tomorrow is Friday!   Bring it on!  HunkyD

    Good evening ladies,

Thanks for asking about my daughter Hunky and Lori. She is doing fine, she was exposed to the virus, but never came down with full blown flu, so she was lucky. Other than that I am still having a lot of pain, so I am just laying low on the couch after work. I talked to the PS on Monday and he told me I still have 4 more fills to go! I will be at or around 1200 cc's when done. Looks like my exchange will be early December just in time for my B-day. It will be a great present to get these things off my chest.  Cheers to all you great ladies!

    Peace and hugs,

    Dee~
