What really crappy--nah, make that shitty few days!   I'll add my story to the pot before I grab my bucket and go meet Wahine and her stiff drink!   Remember me whining about the leaky ceiling?  Torrential rain again this evening, and the ceiling started leaking again.   We have company from out of town and just as he passed underneath the leak, plaster fell on his head!  It was a small piece but not what you want to have happen to guests.   So, now we have TWO coolers in family room, more guests arriving tomorrow night, and of course--more rain on the way!!!   Big group hug to all!!!!

Jocks has my bucket o'beer ready.  I'm ready for a few cold ones!

Oh no, junie! I think that black cloud needs to LEAVE us all alone and disappear already! Reminds me of "chicken little, saying the sky is falling"....can imagine how embarrasing that was....but just plaster (no pun intended) them with drinks....and they won't care at all about ceiling leaks. We had a dry day today, but its comin' our way.....maybe severe weather late tomorrow night. Hope you can keep things together till hubby's big day! Esp try to keep the house together....wishing for NO MORE LEAKS for you!

Kids got here okay...having fun, but oldest g'dau is afraid of my witches....even with them turned off.!

Cheers to NO leaks, NO freaks, and LOTSA treats,

    Kathy

OMG - I'm off the forum for a couple days and I'm reading about everyone's bad news!!!  We all need a drink!

Junie - sorry about the ceiling leaks.  I love the stories about the Halloween costumes, though.  Brick layer - great!!!

Dee - I hope your daughter is feeling better.  I'm excited our surgeries are only a day apart.  We can celebrate together!!!  More drinks!!!

Hunky - That really stinks about your break in!!!!  Those MF's would probably cr*p their pants when they saw you with a shotgun!!!  You go girl!!!

I am so totally going RV camping.  I am WAY too much of a wimp to go tenting!  LOL!  Although, my hubby is sick to his stomach.  I told him we didn't need to eat last night, but he insisted on going to Jack in the Box.  I think they must have given him a bad chicken sandwich.  He was up all night and came home early from work today.  So, who knows if we'll really go camping.  I'll drink no matter what!!!  :)

Just popped in to try & catch up & say hi.  Wow, am shocked by the rotten crap that's been happening. HD - can't imagine what you're going through, but here's me hoping & praying you get everything squared away & that they nail those bastards to the wall.

Dee - hope your pain is going away & hope your DD is much better!

Junie - wish I could lend a hand or a bucket - hang in there!

And everyone, here's wishing you a safe and fun Halloween.

Happy All Hallow's Eve to all.   Have spent the afternoon bar hopping--haven't done that for ages and had such a fun time!   Have spent the evening laughing with hubby's long-time friends who have come to visit and be here for his birthday.

Have a funny--we had the front lights on for one friend who didn't arrive until late this evening.   We had earlier changed our doorbell to be loud screams for tomorrow night.    Only house in neighborhood with outside lights on.   Doorbell rang--screams--NOT our friend........a couple of teen-age kids from town had been invited to a party and they were lost.   They saw our light and thought this must be the place.  Sure of it when they rang the doorbell.    We recognized the name of the street they were looking for, but had no idea where it was.....hope they found their party.

I have been promised a Bloody Mary first thing in the morning from one of the friends who brought jars of his canned bloodymary mix.   Can't wait--almost as good as what Jocks would bring me!!!   Hoping tomorrow day/night are going to be non-stop fun and there will be no rain!!!

    hugggssssss to everyone!!!!!!

OMG.......Just got done reading the last 3 pages. I had to come out to the office, as my laptop was not connecting to the internet. I can't believe everything that has happened since I have been gone! Hunky and Dee especially. I am so sorry.

Hunky, I guess the best way to look at your situation, is that it was only material things. But DAMN.....what P.I.T.A. to deal with, and then having personal stuff on the computer. Also sorry about whatever happened with your bro's visit. But on a lighter note, I lmao when I saw the picture you posted and love the new hair! As for a netbook. That is what we take with us. I HATE IT! I can not type on it. The keys are too close together, I have long nails and make too many mistakes. Did you download messanger on it?

Dee, as for you daughter. Oh my......you must just be out of your mind! My prayers go out to her and you and I hope she gets better real soon.

Donna, so good to see you back. Please don't stay away so long!

I am having a hard time remembering everything from the last 3 pages, but did have some laughs in there. Especially Junie and her costumes, and buying for hubby!

I am sooooo glad to be home. Like Kathy said, no drinking, no internet, no tv and his mom usually goes to bed at 6:30, but managed to stay up til about 8 with us. We drove to Nashville on Friday, stayed the nite at an Embassy, then flew out Sat. morning. Well you what staying at the Embassy means.................FREE HAPPY HOUR! Woo Hoo. Then as soon as I got home, I had 2 beers!

Hi to everyone else, Jaybird, Caz, Erika, KitKat .....oh my....who am I missing? I am hoping the laptop will connect later so I can get on tonight.

Sending hugs and all my love to all of my Breast Friends!

Yea, Lori is home.  Dee, good job with the pictures...I also am so glad to see ya all posting.  I have decided to enjoy a drink early today.  I think if anything it helps my typing on this damn barbie keyboard.  Keep your hands real close together and pray you hit the right key.  I miss all my computer programs.  I wanted to add a shotgun to my last picture but can't now.  Rats....hope you all had a great halloween...I know Junie did...I am doing some laundry today and helping hang a new door with no windows in it.  Did you know...not all doors fit all door frames....LOL!   For the love of god.....buy yourself a house built in 1942 and see if home depot has doors, etc to fit!   I guess if you can't laugh at it....start drinking....that's what I am doing. Love to all....can't list all the names, P.S. Kitty...hope your husband is feeling better!  HunkyD

It sounds like everyone had a nice Halloween despite all the crap that happened beforehand. We're on our way home from camping and ATV riding. I didn't ride my quad, but rode in our Razor (side by side) ATV yeaterday and today. I was a little sore today, so we took it easy. We had a great time with friends and enjoyed a few cocktails. My DH started feeling better too. This is the 1st time we've been camping since I had surgery. The spaceships survived!

I love the pics Dee! Very cute! Cheers!

Kitty--glad you got to have your camping trip!  I have loved tent camping, evolved to a/c heated pop up--now only into hotels with room service!!!  But, have fond memories of the camping days!   Hope all had a fun Halloween.........my birthday dinner for hubby was good and fun--never did figure out who was stirring my pot of beans with the ice cream scoop!!!  (that's how demented the evening was!)

    hugggssss to all!!!!

Hi everyone..kitty, glad you got to go for a little outing.  Glad you did fine with the spaceships and the atv ride.  I went back to work today following an appointment with my plastic surgeon this morning.  He says he wants to do another surgery on me.  Doesn't like where my implant ended up because my expander had rotated so far off course.  Just needs to "tweak" the pocket he says.  He says now the expanders they put in have tabs on them that you use to keep them in place...I was just a little to late for that I guess.  The PSurgeons are truly like artists..so I will be having surgery in December along with Dee and Kitty.  Don't have the exact date yet. I can't hardly wait to use all my vacation time for surgery.... Meanwhile...out to the cyberpool to fill my bucket.  Next week is oncologist Tuesday and Dentist Thursday.  I will have to drink through a straw on Thursday so Pants "please have em handy"  XXOO HunkyD

Hunky, that stinks that you have to use vacation for your surgeries. I assumed my exhange surgery was "sick" time. My boss didn't object - thank goodness!

Well, it's too bad October is over - such a fun month! Looks like a few of us will be having pain pill cocktails with our surgeries in the month of December! :)

Good golly girls, so much going on in December! Hunky, I am going to get you one of those swirly straws! What on earth are you having done, that you need a straw? Hopefully this will be your last surgery/vacation!

Junie, at least the beans got stirred!

KitKat, I think Dee and HD were calling them percocetinis! We will have to empty out the mimosas from the fountain and fill it with those! I am with Junie on the camping. Did the tent thing for years when the kids were little, now we only camp at the Hilton's! (and Embassy, my fav!)

Dee, hope you feeling better and your daughter too!

Kathy, I hope you have some halloween pics to share.

Donna, A great big congrats to you on 5 years! When do you actually start counting? From surgery or the end of treatment? Do you get to go off that dreaded Arimidex??? I believe that is what you were on.

Lori, Love those straws!!! It amazes me that all we have to do is mention something, and someone here is creative enough to post a picture of it! Hope you're still on your "honeymoon high"....or at least on cloud 9...

HD, I wonder if mine have the tabs? I have alloderm though and I think that is supposed to hold everything in place. Not fun having more surgery, but so GLAD your dr wants you to look as good as possble....very nice when they are perfectionists. The final outcome should be really good.

Well, gotta get ready for the foot dr to cut on my toe...then to wear that big sandal thingie for a few days. Thats when I realize how many times I hit my feet and toes on something! Hope it works this time, otherwise next time will be working on the joint, and that will be lots more involved.

junie, you and I need some pampering after the rough weekend we both had! I have dibs on Pants, and you can have Jocks, if that is ok with everyone....

Beautiful sunny day here (albeit cold)....hope all you gals have a super day today!!!!

    Hugs,

    Kathy

Kathy and Hunky - I'm pretty sure the TT's are at your service for whatever pampering you need. Just give my pool raft a little shove with your foot to make sure I rotate & tan evenly, please?  And my vote is for percotinis in the fountain, please - just for a few weeks, until everyone's back on an even keel.

And wasn't there supposed to be a party soon - for Lori's wedded bliss, Kitty's camping trips, Kathy's cool Halloween, Donna's return (hi!), Dee's DD getting better (I hope?), and Junie's drying out?

Cheers to no tents leaking, and pocket tweaking!

Erika...great post and toast.  I'll give your raft a little turn now and then, and the fountain sounds mahvelous!  Pleast don't let Dee or Kitty swim in the percotini fountain.  I think it is going to have to be huge...more like a waterfall.  We were supposed to have a party for Lori.....I can't do pictures yet until I get new puter, and I have been just a "tidge" < (real word?) soured up latetly, so am not going to be a good party planner.  Would love to attend however.  I would also love to change my hair on my avitar....I don't think Jaybird liked it....LOL!  I don't really either but it sure has alot of highlights.  CAZ, mine's not long enough for a ponytail yet...and I hope you are holding your own with the Hop Stoopid!   Wish Languinitas would get a tee shirt for it.  I would order one. Lori...I am going to need the straw next Thursday night after dentist appt.  He is very generous with the novacaine. Takes me about 4 hours to come out of it.  I drool more beer than I drink!  Cheers to new brides..atv rides, and of course...the percotini fountain!!!   HunkyD

Jocks--I'd like a cafe-mocha vodka-vallium latte, please--and then, my usual bucket o'beer!!!   That cocktail sounds like what some of you ladies might be needing in the weeks ahead!!!   Wonder how it would go with Percocetinis????   Bet we'd get some wild parties and creative toasts with that combo!!!!   Hugggsssss ro all--off to the pool to help nudge E around for her even tan!!

Percotinis - LOL! I was needing those 2 weeks ago after my last fill. You gals really make me laugh!!! I'm in Chicago this week. Went to dinner at a brewery with my boss. Busy day tomorrow and I'm off by 2 hours because of the time zones! I'll need one of those special mocha drinks! :)

LOL at Junie's "Drying Out". And after having one of those mocha latte sumpin sumpin, you probably wouldn't be able to say it again!

Kathy, how's the tootsie doing? and didn't hubby have something done too?

Junie, hope your hubby is doing well.

Dee? How is your sweet DD? ....and you of course. Tests today?

HD, hope things are settling down over your way and you are able to cope with everything that is going on!

KitKat, have fun in The Windy City. Glad you are able to check in. Hardly a day goes by that I know I can come here for a laugh. I think that's why we all keep coming back! The company is the best!

I think I am going in to flip E, she's been out there long enough! **SPLASH**    Tongue out

I see we have another Cat in HTL! Hello mom, and welcome!

Hi gals....I mean if I can get anyone away from that percotini fountain! Sure attracted a crowd there...LOL.  Looks like our TT's have their hands full now with all of us ladies showing up everyday. I wonder if the firemen will help take care of us.....hmmmmmmmm.

My toe is fine...just have to wear this #%&## surgical shoe for over a week....that is the worst part...plus not getting it wet till after Friday (then changing dressing  & soak 2x day).....so no showers for me till Fri...and no jumping in the pool....  :(      DH had to see surgeon right after bringing me home, but luckily the surgery on his wrist will not be till the 16th. Otherwise we would have been quite a motley crew!

Nice to have our Lori back here! Hope E, Kitty, Hunky, CasinoGal, Jaybird, and everyone else is doing well today! HD, hope things are getting back to a nicer normal at your home! You deserve some stress-free months!

Think I need to add another fountain for those mimosas.....not sure I can handle the percotinis! Then heading out to see if E is still in the pool, and needs to be flipped over!

Dee, best of luck on those tests, which I think are today??? Keeping my fingers, arms, legs, feet, (minus toes), and eyes crossed on that one! Gotta have some happy news.....please let us know!

    Ciao,

    Kathy

Ok, thanks for flipping me in (as opposed to flipping me off), was getting a little too much sun. Isn't there a swim-up bar in the pool? Or could we snap our fingers & build one right next to the outdoor pizza oven?  Just a thought.

Dee - hope your DD is better? And certainly hope your tests are all good. I'm sure the TT's will have your chair warmed up & your beverage ready when you get here. Hope all is well!

    Cheers to all,

    E
