Cheers to all women everywhere - it's International Women's Day! Celebrate the women in your life! Kiss

    LOL @ HD! LOVE your ever-changing avatar/self.

(((Lori))) Feel better soon! (I so hate sinus issues, having some myself...)

    YEA for KK's sister!!! Smile

I'm in Moscow and it's still cold here. I think spring starts in about 3 months??? Just chillin' with a beer (it's after 7:00 p.m.) and wasting time on the computer.

The painter should be done by Tuesday. He'd better be as the carpeting is being laid on Wed! I'll take some "it's finally all done" pics later this week.

    Cheers!

HA HA HD, we do have one of those. It will be the last building done on the end. That will be seating and grill area. It is called "Lori's Shady Lady Hotel"!

Junie, would have been nice to call the Saloon, The HTL! But we already had the signs made. Used friends and family members. George and Rebecca are friends. Jimmy (sherriff) and Melody are the grandkids!

Holding my glass up to women around the world!

Dee, maybe it's my hair scaring everyone off.  I am at work too.  We got snow and wind last night but I still wore my sandals to work.  Never drove my vehicle in 4 wheel drive before in my sandals.  What the he## is the matter with me!  Happy Tuesday too all!  HD

Thanks, NM--I'll have a glass of each....I enjoy wine, but it sure doesn't like me!   Think I've mentioned before that I'm  not a Champagne fan and much prefer a Bloody Mary over a Mimosa for a morning drink...

There was a Champagne toast at the wedding rehearsal dinner--it was the BEST Champagne I'd ever tasted.   Usually, I can only stand a sip or two but had two glasses!   Liked it so much that I had DH buy a bottle from the bar to bring home with us.   Well, forgot and left it in his sister's fridge.  Called her today to get the name and told her to give it his niece to have a toast with on their 1st anniv.....

Then got to surfing around to see where to buy this great stuff and how much it might cost--not sure I can buy it locally anywhere, but if I want to order on-line----less than $5.00 a bottle!!!  Go figure--guess I'm a good, cheap date!   No wonder I stick to ML as my drink of choice...

speaking of which--fill 'er up Jocks; heading out to the hot tub.   Need a little relaxation.   We're starting to get our spring winds and they make me and the dog so nervous with the constant blowing and whistling through doors.

HUGGSSS to ALL--happy hump day tomorrow!!!

NM, that looks like a lovely selection.  I am a red wine girl, and a white Alfredo sauce pasta girl.  There, I am in heaven.  Mmmmm!  I'm thirsty...following Junie out to the Hot Tub...snow is all melted but 30mph winds here.  I hate the wind too.  See at the tub.....HunkyD

Snow and wind here too HD.....but I didn't wear my sandals to work! Nor did I need 4 wheel drive...hehe!

Junie, $5 champagne is gonna cost you more in shipping!

NM, I'll help in the cause, you can contribute some of that to me! And I'll give a toast be-CAUSE!

More snow and wind right now, nothing that is really sticking, but went and brought my containers in, that I had planted. The green house isn't completely insulated yet, and it is suppose to get down to the low 20's.

Damn it SPRING.....get here already, would ya????    PLEASE! Cry

Hmmmm.....windy here too....BUT nice and sunny and warm....breezes are cool so I am in heaven! Nice wine bar you shared with us MN! Junie, send me an email with the name of that champagne please! DD got me a bottle of VERY expensive champagne for Christmas, and it was good (Moet-Chandon), but I am happy with Korbel or Cooks. AND I just discovered that the Andre Spumante is actually good....nice and a little sweet. So I will look forward to see if I can find the one you had that you enjoyed.

Visited my 100 yr old aunt today....last year she was so energetic, and looked so beautiful even though she didn't even know we were coming (makeup, etc)...but this year she is very weak and thin. She had a stroke a few months ago that almost took her. But she is at a wonderful place where they just take fantastic care of everyone. Her sis (my grandma) lived there till she was almost 102! Was sad to see how downhill she went, from last year, but she did recognize my mom and just brightened up soooo much!

Well dear friends, it is pau hana time in the islands, and I hear my Dad (spilling) getting the ice cubes in the glasses.....will think of you all while in my gorgeous place of birth (NO, not the ocean Lori, LOL)!

    Hello!

It seems like everyone is having good times and adventures! That's awesome and helps me while away the hours while healing.

Oh, the itching! It's driving me nuts!!!

We went to the breast oncologist yesterday (how many people have more than one oncologist??) and he is going to change me over from Tamoxifen to Arimidex in a month. I'm thinking this is a good thing - he says the side effects are less severe.

Other than overdoing it yesterday while we were out, I'm doing well and trying to heal fast!

    Take care!

Ha ha ha.....I have funny story about Junies champagne, but I'll let her tell it!

Kathy, girl.....you have long long long time, yet to live. I can not believe the longevity in your family! Mine has obesity, diabetes, COPD, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack and alzheimers! Thank God I don't have any of them yet, but if I must...give me the "oldtimers" first! And now, thanks to me, we can ad The Big "C" to that! Have you started packing yet to come home? LOL! I wish we could have had those cool breezes when were there.

Connie, good to see you back. Sorry about all the itching. Dee, weren't you itchy? But it seems like yours was from the anesthesia? I only know to suggest some benedryl Connie. And you better quit over doing it!

Thanks KK, we are having alot of enjoyment doing it. Its slow going, we only have the weekends to work on it, and it seems we are gone more than we are home on the weekends. We will be home this weekend. Next weekend we are going to the Home and Garden Show in Flagstaff, but that will just be one day. Then the following weekend, back down to Phx, and going to Festival of the Old West.

Well I hope everyone is doing well. Not going to go through all the names, as I know I will miss someone! Newbies....where are you?

    Humpin along, Lori

    Hey Y'all,

Yes Lori I was itching like a person possessed! It was first from the anesthesia and then from the pain meds. The Percocets were the worst for me, but helped the pain the most. I am taking Tomorrow and Friday off for some extra R&R. Too much stress at home and working all the time is kickin' my butt. I don't know if I will post any between now and next week, not that I post alot anyway :) You all take care and have a great week and weekend! Cheers to cold beers!

    OXOXO Dee~

Happy Wedsedsay! What is the drink of the day??? We just HAVE to celebrate today as my carpeting is being laid, if the carpet guys ever get here (it's almost 9 a.m.). The painter still isn't done, only some trim painting is all, to be finished next week, Gawd , what a long strange trip it's been!

Spring (???) in Chicago, higher than 'normal' temps today, supposed to see 55! Woo-hoo!

LOL @ my daughter Avery. She saw HD's avatar and said "That looks like my grandma." I don't think I'll mention that to my mother..... Surprised

    Cheers to Humpday!

Par-tay, Par-tay--Jaybird, is the remodling finished??  I hope so 'cause I'm toasting (toasted!) to it being finished!!  It is always amazing to me how much longer it takes to finish any kind of house re-do.  Hope it is finished and that you are pleased with the results!

Checked with our local likker store tonight--they don't stock the Champagne I liked but I just need to let them know and they'll order me some!  LOL--they are really nice to us--we spend so much there that DH gets a discount on his scotch!!!

Spring has officially sprung here!   Can't watch tv for all the tornado warnings, watches, thunderstorm crap!!!   Looks like all the really bad stuff is moving between Casino Girl and me.   Think we will be rockin' and rollin' with thunderstorms shortly.   YEA for spring!!!  Guess I'm looking at a "thunderous Thursday"!!!!  LOL!

    ALL--big huggssss and bottoms up!!!!

He he......hope you got laid yesterday Jaybird! The carpet I mean! I hope you got your carpet laid. Sorry, I just couldn't resist!  Curious tho, as to how ANYONE could look like HD's avatar! That is so funny. Outta the mouths of babes, you gotta love it! Hope you and Avery are able to enjoy that nice weather. We got snowed on again last night, about an inch. It will be gone later today, but I am so sick of it. But it does help clear the air of some of the pollen, so not sneezing as much.

Junie, I hope you didn't get blown away. You and Donna are in the tornado path, so I am sure you will have lots more of those to deal with. Just stay safe. Did you get that roof leak fixed? Probably more like Thunderous March & April!

I am having a toast in Jaybirds honor   "To getting laid"

Well, Jocks, it's been quite a day.  Please mix me up a pitcher of raspberry martinis and turn on the bubbles in the hot tub, Pants.  I arrived at my place of employment this morning, a good 45 minutes "early" in order to get some paperwork done that I've been putting off, to find the building surrounded by fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, with pylons blocking off the major accesss road. At first I thought it was a drill of some kind, but nope, it was a real fire.  An electrician putting in a motion sensing light switch in a bathroom had a spark catch the insulation on fire!  So we sat out in the sun on the (very, very cold) stone benches watching all the scurrying around.  It's been a weird day ever since.  Now I 'm "home" in the Hot Ta Ta Lounge and ready to relax!  As soon as the hot tub warms up my still cold butt I want a loooong massage to go with my drinks!

I vote for a Fire Engine as the drink of the day: Fire Engine Recipe

     1 part Jagermeister
    4 parts Red Soda

NM, Glad the fire happened BEFORE you were in the building!!! And I hope no one was hurt. Yeah, our firefighters are real "eye candy"....you might want to start a fire just to call them out...LOL.

junie, Hope no more tornado warnings for you!!!!  Lori, Haven't gotten to see your new "town" pics but will check it out when I get home.

Champagne for me and my parents tonight at pau hana....yummmmmmmmmmm. Hope everyone has their drink of choice ready and waiting for them in the lounge. That FIRE ENGINE drink looks soooooo pretty NM...wonder what it tastes like???? Well, I'll be on my way home tomorrow night....Friday night till Saturday night....loooooooooong time to travel. Wonderful time here, but will be nice to be home too!

goldie--(panting through an early morning hot flash)  YUMMY!

wahine--no one was hurt at all, no major damage done to the building, the only smoke was from burnt toast in the student's lounge.  The worst that happened was the home show set up in the auditorium was delayed an hour or so, and some inconvenience for those of us who work in the building.  The whole thing didn't even make the local news--surprising since our offices are in the back part of a very large Civic Center in the capital city of the state!  And it isn't the first time I've sat in a parking lot and graded paperwork.  But it was more fun to stand around looking for goldie's guys!

NM, they are not "my" guys. They work here at The HTL. A few of the girls here (won't mention any names) have had fires, so I thought it might be safe to hire a few, to keep on hand, just in case. They're always around to lend a helping hand!

I have an appt with the PS next week.  I'm afraid my left foob is sliding south.  Yikes!!!  It doesn't look bad.  Actually it was always higher than my right side, but I'm kind of anal, so I want to make sure there are no problems!  Plus, it feels kind of strange!!!

Lori, I never looked at your hair pics on your profile until tonight.  I noticed the note in your sig.  Anyway, you look great!  The hair progression pics remind me a lot of my sister.  Her hair is about 5 inches long now.

Hunky Gaga...........love it girl! But another surgery? Are you kidding me? One of you is NUTS. What does he want to do now? I can't believe it. Haven't you put yourself through enough? You have gone GAGA!

Thanks KK, I did the pics more for myself, so I could see the progression. As it always seemed like it just wasn't growing. Guess it just was growing fast enough for me! I will keep taking pictures, but probably every 3 months now. I have a couple I need to add to it.

Was a gorgeous day here yesterday and today, almost 70. Now for tomorrow, only 39! And that is the high. We sure have some strange weather out here in northern AZ!

Think I'll go do a few laps in the indoor pool, I see our fire crew in there working out!

Putting Pants and Jocks on hold for Kathy, I am sure she will need them when she gets home from that long nite/day of travel!

    Happy Saturday! Lori

Oh yea, we got our fertilizer line up, with the new logo. Check it out. Altho I really liked the one with tomato, the one we chose is more generic and works better with all the lines.

Happy Saturday to you all :)

It has been nice taking the last couple extra days off to get some much needed R&R. The weather has been gorgeous but the rain finally got us today. We are heading to Cincy to the riverboat casino so wish us luck, hope to win the big jackpot!  I will have to talk to you later about the surgery HD, but if thats what you think you need to do then do it. I know I am going to have to have some more surgery due to the extra skin and my left boob sliding down to my hip. Just a suggestion, but I would like to see some female staff/firefighters in the HTL for those of us with a beef allergy. Thanks ;)  Have a great day and I will TTYL

I found crocuses in my yard this afternoon!  And I can see where the daffodils are starting to come up!  There IS hope for spring!   42 degrees and droping, breeze is picking up, supposed to be rainy and sleety tonight and tomorrow. Yuck.  Gonna freeze my precious crocus!
