NOT a lovely day!   No snow yet, but we have been upgraded from "watch" to "warning" and temp has just dropped to freezing.  'Spect we'll see some white stuff soon.   Just talked to friends in Okla--snowing like crazy!   Casino Girl--you getting dumped on???

Looks like a good afternoon to putter around, watch tv--KU plays in a bit...and drink some ML!!

Will head out to the pool in a bit and see who all is having a lazy afternoon there!

    Hugggssss!

Good lord HD did you win or lose the mud resling match?  LOL Nice cap too! K those pics are gorgeous!  I am so ready for a vacation. Had planned on going soon but as usual things happen and haven't been able to get away YET. I have an appointment with my PS on Monday to see if he can do something about the problems I am having with my chest and arm. The pain is getting worse :(  I am having a percotini tonight to tide me over. Anyone want to join me? Where is everyone? HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It was just too nice to stay inside today!  One of my friends came by and helped be put up the new mailbox post so the mail carrier will stop leaving me nasty notes.  Even though I didn't do much today I am soooo tired, and have a bit of a sore throat.  I'm hoping it's just springtime allergies kicking in, but just in case, Jocks, can you mix up something with lots of Vitamin C and enough alcohol to kill off any nasty germs?  Maybe something that will give me enough energy to get ready for bed?  Oh, never mind that last part, I'll just sleep here beside the pool tonight.

Dee, I wasn't aware of that pain you have been having (or did you mention it, and I am having another senior moment?).  I am so sorry to hear that. I hope the PS can take care of it without too much trouble...and so glad you will be seeing him on Monday. Please let us know when you find out what is causing it. I would guess its from too much snow shoveling with all the snow you had this year...hoping you just pulled something...and its nothing serious. Will be thinking of ya! Try not to overdo it on the percotinis.....

SNOW again for some of us???? Jaybird I never had limoncello, altlhough a restaurant here makes it...is it really good? Stay safe with all that snow...you too Junie, CasinoGirl, and whoever else is getting hit with it again....and this is SPRING??? We might get some snow/rain mix but I think that is all they are expecting. NM, so sorry to hear you are sick....maybe enough likker will make those nasty germs hightail it far, far away! Scoot germs, scoot!!! Hope you will relax and take it easy.

Anyone see 2012? Saw it last night, and pretty disappointed. Saw "most" of The Box on the plane, but need to rent it to see the ending (we were landing!)...I sorta liked it though. Hope the night will be nice and peaceful for everyone....and pains will go away!!!

Here's to No More Snow, and Germs and Pains to Go (away),

    Kathy

Well...I got six inches last night--screwed big time!   LOL!!!  THAT is how much snow we got last night!!   It  is snowing heavily right now with another 3 or 4 inches possible.   Not quite my idea of how the second day of spring is supposed to look.  Looks like we're housebound again for a couple of days.   Heading out to the hot tub for a warm soak.

    Happy Sunday!!!

Not really screwed here, only 2" for me! Embarassed

I need a stiff drink after braving IKEA on a Sunday. That place was crowded! What else to do on a cold and dreary Spring Sunday? I'm trying to buy Avery some bedroom furniture while not spending a lot of money. Oh, and a few things for me, too!

The liquor budget is down so no drinking this week. I still don't want any red wine so no problem not spending any money on that vice! I'll be here in spirit though! Cheers!

Jaybird, Hope you found some nice furniture for Avery! We don't have an IKEA here, but its fun to go in them when we travel...I think the food area is especially neat! They had good swedish meatballs, and some sort of apple cake that was soooo good. Good prices too! Not surprised that you do not want any red wine....YUCKO....having to clean up after that guy got sick from it....would make anyone abstain! Where are you off to next? Seems like a lot of trips lined up, but hope you were able to schedule being home with Avery on Easter. That is SUCH FUN!

Connie, are you doing okay? Hope you're not overdoing it!

    Cheers All,

    Kathy

Dee--that's a great choice of drink for today!  Going to be rainy here (if it isn't snowing) and a complete washout tomorrow, so I'mg going to stock up !  Pineapple and passionfruit juices have a lot of Vitamin C, don't they?  So they're good for my sore throat, right?

Yummmy drink Dee! Looks like the passion fruit seeds are in the drink too...good fiber....LOL. My Dad has a passion fruit vine (lilikoi), and makes lilikoi jelly. I love eating them as they are...sooo good. Hmmmm..... 2 oz of likker per drink...sounds like a slammin' way to start Monsoon Monday! Um, Pants, please make us a PITCHER of these, so we can start the week right!!! Yes NM, they should have plenty of Vit C...so drink up!!!

Lori, Hope you got home safely and had a great trip!

    Mahvelous Monsoon Monday to all,

WOWSERS! What a week end for everyone! Sickies, snow, rain, getting screwed, mud wrestling. All this crappy weather really has our sales down, we need a hot drought!

We had a rather productive week end in Phx. Got a pellet stove for $450 to use in the green house next winter, got our tile for .50 a piece, picked up our whiskey barrel fountain we bought at the trade show, bought some flowers to put in the green house. One in a hanging basket of jasmine....smells so nice! Wish it could bloom all summer. Got about 40 bags of dirt on sale to use in our containers and of course lots of drinks at happy hour!

Dee, good luck today. NM, hope you are feeling better. Connie, glad you checked in and can join us more regularly soon. Libido? Whats that? KK, 2 day green hangover...BUMMER! HD, love love love your mud wrestling pic. Jaybird, you are just one busy chick!

When I first saw the drink for today, I thought it said "Moonshine Monday"!

Hoping for some drier weather, really getting "screwed", no more sickies and warmer temps for everyone!

E, Hope your little one gets well soon! Try to get warmed up in the hot tub...and have that Monday Monsoon too!

Dee, Hope your dr visit went well....let us know!

LOVE all the drink ideas/recipes Dee! Maybe I'll use some at my 50th b-day party! Tongue out

Avery had a cold but it didn't last long - thankfully. And I didn't get sick - more thanks!

Spent a lot of time last night putting together put-together IKEA furniture. I forgot how much FUN that stuff is! (not) I hope to get the rest done tonight.

Afterward, I had to have a drink and I 'found' some white port I'd been saving (bought it 2 years ago) so I had some, with some cheese & crackers. Yum! It's from CA, 2005, a viognier from Trentadue winery. Very nice! Cheers!

    Hello all :)

Sorry I haven't updated you about the doctor appointment. Yesterday I was so busy that by the time I got home, I crashed on the couch and woke up around 2ish this morning and couldn't go back to sleep. I am dragging butt today! Anyhow, the doc is sending me to get more aggressive PT for my scar tissue and lyphedema. I have cording that has occured since my last surgery and that seems to be what may be causing some of the pulling pain I have been feeling. We shall see what happens. He also is now wanting to wait more time for my revisions to get these problems under control. I don't care really..maybe I will be able to get it done by the end of the year. I will probably be going home and crashing again tonight. I have been here since 5:30 this morning. I'm tired!

Take care and have a few for me :)~ OXOXOX

FrownFrownFrown Sorry you are so worn out, Dee! Thanks for the update, and I am hoping the PT will take care of all that pain. PT isn't fun, but can usually help a lot. You deserve to be able to crash when you get home...just take it easy and try to catch up on your sleep. Hope you'll be back to normal soon, and can be our fun Dee again!!! Will hoist a few drinks for you till you feel better....do take care!
