I love Ned! Is he scratching his butt? Love him anyway. My daughter was born in the year of the monkey and one of her friends keeps giving her sock monkeys but none of them can dance.

HD, get a passport, and pronto....only some countries need visas! Actually, on our magic bus I don't think we need passports...just need to show up, and since you have pre-boarded, you are just fine!!! Are you feeling better? Looks like you have a soulmate in Gail's DD....another sock monkey collector!!!

Jaybird....YAY!!!! So glad you will be on your way home, soon. Funny about that passenger getting to get on that flight too! I know you will give Avery the biggest hug imaginable!!!

DD just called....her lab has hip dysplasia...had xrays and will be on anti-inflammatories, but her bill was much smaller!!! I need to see what anti-inflammatories her vet put her on that are less than $100/month! HD, looks like it will be manageable, I sure hope so!

Let's get this bus moving faster so we can get to jaybird and help her drink all that good stuff she has waiting for us!!!

How nice to wake up to such BEAUTIFUL flowers, Dee!!! Definately a day-brightener! Thank you. Hope everyone has a Happy Hump Day! We're taking my parents to a neat attraction, out of town today, and the weather is perfect for it.

Thanks you guys. Gosh, I have the best friends in the world here! Love the NED dancer Dee! Amazing all of the different sock monkeys we have found!

Kathy, that is sad news about the 8 yo. One of my brothers partners just lost an 8 yo cousin. On a quad and pulled out into the street, without looking I guess, right into the side of a car. Sad thing too, it was a 17 yo driving the car. Kids just don't think sometimes. But glad your Mav is doing ok and DD's too.

What a fun trip. Looks like we got Jaybird on board and will have her home sometime on Thursday. Tasting all these wines are great. Sugar dear...could you get us some cheese please?

Hope today finds everyone feeling well. I know I am!

    venga bus

Hope that works. Glad our bus doesn't look like this one!

Ok, where's the ParTay??????  I want a bunch of drinks so I can go to sleep early because I need to get up early to catch the early bus to Boston for my first pre-op appointment tomorrow.  60 days to reconstruction day!  I'm alternately excited and terrified.

Hooray for clean scans, no travel bans, our special bus and all of us!

NM, you defiantely need to party!

I love Vengabus! sweet of you to suggest a stormy name, but the storm is what I'm getting away from.I had some serious health issues as a child and someone told my mom once that naming me "gale" would cause my life to be filled with stormy weather. When I was a kitten I was always cleaning up after everyone and my mom nicknamed me 'the little white tornado' (remember the Ajax commercials) and told me I turned the storm into something good. But... I'm ready for some sunny weather for a change!

I felt some strange lumpiness on my right breast this morning.  My PS saw me this afternoon and wants it checked by my onco ASAP.  He said that it's unlikely that anything is wrong, but he wants it looked at because it's close to where my bc was. UGGHHH....  I cried all the way home.  Talked to my hubby and a friend.  Then, got home and poured myself a big glass of wine.  I hate the waiting game.  I have an appt with my onco on Friday morning.  I am going to see if I can get a hold of my BS tomorrow.  I'm thinking he may have an ultrasound machine in his office (he was my 2nd BS, so he didn't do an US in his office, but my 1st BS did).  Now I'm stalking doctors!!!

I'm really hoping that it's just scar tissue.  That side didn't drop as much as the left side.  However, my PS said he didn't remember feeling the lumpiness when I saw him last month.

Did anyone feel dense or lumpiness post BMX? Help!!!  I'm going to pour a 2nd glass of wine!!!

Hi Kittycat, Thank God you were able to have your PS check out your lumpiness (that doesn't sound right!), and already have your onco appt. Glad you didn't put it off. I hope they can get the ultrasound results pronto, after you have it done. Yup, waiting is the absolute pits!!! Sending positive energy your way, and prayers and some comforting (((hugs))) too.

As far as some happy news....I couldn't believe the diff in Maverick today...he was jumping up and down, running, smiling :) and just plain happy. Hard to believe how he could hardly move, and so lethargic a couple of days ago. Wish the vet could have given ME a B12 shot too...or maybe his strong anti-inflammatory drugs are working already. That sure brightened our day to see him like that!!!

I like your cheer NM...good rhyming, and spot on!

Hi Kittycat: just stumbled on your post.

As my uni began to heal, it developed scar tissue.  This did feel lumpy and bumpy, as some scars form keloid scars which raise up.

I wasn't feeling or checking for anything after the mtxmy as I had been warned it would keep changing and changing, making me crazy.

If you had a bilat, and you just had your surgery a year ago, chances are good honey that it is only scar tissue.  You don't mention if you are on tamoxifen or arimidex but if you are, that is even more likely to make any new cancer unlikely.  My uni had so many new bumpies after a year of forming scar tissue, that I'd drive myself insane running to the breast surgeon.

Rest easy tonight and go get your scans.  The breast cancer flags go up at anything at all, so best to know that and be ready for them to freak out over EVERYTHING.  Remember, they are on your side.

big hugs to you, please post what the findings are, OK?

    xoxo

    Good morning all :O)

Kitty, I had found a lump under my incision line between where my boob and arm pit are. The PS says its just were they stitched inside and it formed some scar tissue. We are keeping a close watch on it, but so far it has not gotten bigger or changed. Since you had DCIS and it was not invasive, I doubt you have anything to worry about. Good to get checked to be sure and for your piece of mind. Good luck and try to stay calm.

Cheers to no fears, cold beers and big ears!

Jaybird is passing out drinks on the bus. NM, we can drop you off in Boston. Love the cheer!

Kitty, try not to worry yourself to death. Like Annie said, anything unusual always raises a flag for us, but good to be checked, just in case. Sending good vibes your way. Have another glass of wine!

Ok, I think maybe we should just call the bus "The ParTay Bus". We can't have it reminding Gail of any bad magumbo.

Kathy, glad to hear Maverick is doing well. How about hubby??? I know things turned out good, and also hope he is healing well.

Well, I put lights on my peach tree for the big freeze tonight. Instead, we got it last night! 24 degrees with ice and snow! IT WASN'T SUPPOSE TO FREEZE LAST NIGHT! All of the blossoms are covered in ice. Darrell was down there at 3 in the morning to check on it! I'm so bummed.........no peaches again this year. Frown

Can we have a "peach" drink of the day. Maybe some "Pink Silk Panties" for everyone! (Y'all know how I love PINK)

    Drink Type: Martini

    Ingredients

1 oz. Absolut Vodka        1 splash(es) Cranberry Juice           3/4 oz. Peach Schnapps

Chill a classic martini glass by filling with ice and water. Set aside. Combine ingredients in a shaker and stir well. Emply martini glass. Strain drink into the glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Kitty, ditto on what everyone else said.  I have had lots of surgeries/revisions, and i guarantee there are bumps galore.  I know you will be fine.  Kathy, glad Maverick is back to his self again. Here I am at work again.  Rain and cold here today.  Happy Thursday everyone.  HunkyDory

    Good morning!

I too found a lump in my noob the other day, but we're pretty sure that it's just scar tissue. And really, it's my abdominal tissue, so how could it be breast cancer, right? It's really reassuring that I can check in with my breast friends and have my fears calmed.

Does the fear of reoccurrance ever go away?

This weekend I'm attending some seminars at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center - I'm really hoping I can get some good tips and information there.

Say, who's driving the bus, I think they took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

    Ciao for niao,

    Connie

LOL @ Lori - I thought you wrote "Jaybird is passing out!" LOL!

I am home! Home Sweeeeeeet Home! Now to catch up on everything. My lawn needs mowing, I guess all my neighbors have done theirs already this week? I am such a slacker! Lots of laundry, too. And catching-up on cuddles and kisses - times three. Laughing

Well, cheers to the Magic Bus - thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone about the good luck on my lumpiness scare.  I need to talk to my onco anyway about my ooph/hyst surgery.  I should just have all my doctors on an email chain.  I can just keep updates for them, so everyone is in the loop!  LOL!

Lori - sorry about the peaches.  That sucks!!!  Yes, we need a peach drink for sure!

My mom is moving here on Monday.  We have to meet her moving truck tomorrow night at the storage unit.  My house is not up to par and I've been sitting on the sofa, wallowing in my misery about my lumps!  My mom doesn't know (she freaks out about this BC stuff with me and my sister).  So, hopefully they find nothing because it will be hard to hide!  She doesn't even know about my hyst/ooph date (I didn't want her distracted from her move, which is already stressful for her).

Tell the Magic Bus to swing by Vegas, after its stop in Albaquerque!  LOL!!!

OK, I'm ready to get back on the magic bus for a while, so have Jocks swing by my place soon!  Pre-op appointment #1 down.  Consent for surgery signed.  Found out I'll be donating a unit of my own blood toward the end of May and needles will be involved.  The PS was amused when I asked if there was any way to donate the blood without using a needle!  They're going to schedule the blood letting on the same day as the anesthesia pre-op routine.  So it's 1 down, 2 to go.  Been a long day, and I'm wiped despite repeated ingestion of caffiene since I got up at 3:45 this am.

YAY!!!!  Jaybird's home!   So glad you checked in and let us know.   Lots of Avery hugs from all of us and hope you get a few days at home to catch up on things before your next rotation.

Sending you all early TGIF cheers.   Heading out early a.m. to visit friends; attend a retirement party; party party party.   I'm 99% packed--will be gone for 4-5 days, but taking enough stuff to stay a month if need to!!!   Not sure what kind of net access I'll have but will keep tabs on you all if I can!!   Sure wish I was making the trip in our wonderful bus--well, I will do just that in my mind!!!

I've asked Jocks and Candie to think up a "chill pill" drink just for all of us.   I surely do hate that we get so worried about every little change that we feel or experience--always keeps us on edge, worried, scared, sleepless, nervous!!!!

HUGGGSSSSS to all--hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Wow! I just found this thread! You all crack me up!  I hope I can join you amazing women... actually I start my 1st chemo tomorrow at 2pm... just in time for Happy Hour!  I will be enjoying a slightly different cocktail than you all and not the kind I prefer on Friday, but a Happy Hour nontheless as I am finally getting moving on this treatment! YAY!  I hope I will be joining you soon for a "Cheers" moment!  How long did you all wait after a chemo treatment to indulge in a libation?  My stepsons (23, 21) are all excited about a "shaving all our heads party" that they are throwing for me in a week or two and my niece sent me some "Bald Head Red", a wine from North Carolina... we are hoping for a toast with that!

    Hugs!
