how about drinking?

So, I was doing my hair today. No shedding in the shower. So then I decided to cut about an inch off for fun. My shorted layer is about 2 inches past my chin. So, after I did the trim, I noticed m hair started to shed. Then I started drying in and it was shedding more. OMG - I look like my dog Bear, when he sheds! LOL! No clumps, but I was afraid it would be noticable. So, I wore a hot pink top for work to distract from the shedding. And I'm not wearing black until my head gets shaved on Wednesday.
Yay Melanie!!! I am so happy that you are BRCA negative!
Lori - love the Red Devil cocktail. And it looks like the red devil, too! I wish I could have that instead of chemo!!! Maybe I should have both - LOL!
Designermom - welcome to our bar! Have yourself a drink and enjoy!!!!

In the spirit of having to lose my hair and get my wig this week, I changed my avatar to one with a black wig. I was a senorita for Halloween last year! Ole! Where's my margarita or Pacifico??? LOL! I was trying to post my pirate pic because I love that wig the best, but it keeps telling me the image is not valid or something crazy like that.

Oh Jaybird - I understand how disappointed you must have been on your birthday - I'm coming up on the same birthday too.
I promise I will post pictures tomorrow - just too tired tonight! Yes if anyone wants recipes I'd be happy to share. We had a lemon basil chicken pasta, salad with fruts and nuts and poppy seed dressing and fudge pie.
You all who are cutting hair soon - I just admire you all so much for your strength and your great attitude but then again what else can you do! Anyway, I think about everyone going through chemo and rad. and I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful new hair growth very soon. Beanius - delay? I am sorry - things like that alway seem to happen to me like that also. I just hope when you do start it will be easy!
NM - Wow long surgery!! I know you are glad it is over and so happy you got good results and good news. And the weight loss is fantastic - congratulations! Same to you Lady Madonna!
Ok tomorrow I'll do the picture thing but be warned you guys know pictures are not my forte. Also Kathy said I should try and post a picture of my ceiling - she was surprised by it or I guess my descriptions of it....
I think someday getting together centerally would be amazing. Kathy and I just had so much to talk about and the time just flew by. We laughed and she brought pictures and it was just really great!
Oh Sunday was Liesl's birthday so she got to spend the day out by the pool chasing the pool polaris (cleaner) around the pool. She is just hilarious doing this as she knows it's routine so she patiently patrols around then when it gets closer and closer to the edge she leans way over - looks just like those old Snoopy cartoons when he is doing his Vulture impressions. Then the cleaner (named Dewey by the way) climbs up the side, she waits - gets still and as its tail come sweeping by she darts in for the kill and grabs the tail with her mouth and water goes everywhere and her tail is going a mile a minute! Afterwards she shake the water off her beautiful little face and looks to me for praise and congratulations! Such a fun day!

Heather you are too cute! Hey I'd use any excuse to wear a pirate costume to work.0
-
I didn't wear the pirate costume to work! It was kinda short! I wore it to a Halloween party. I made my husband wear a pirate costume. He looked like Jack Sparo from Pirates of the Caribbean! LOL!!

NM - Welcome back girl! You just sit back and relax, do some reading...but don't worry about trying to catch up and respond to everything that has happened while you were gone. You get the Tattie Tender of your choice, all to yourself, for as long as needed! So glad all went well and I know Sadie is glad to see you.
Milo - St. Thomas? Kathy is there! How awesome would it be if you two could meet up there!
Kitty - When I donated my hair, I thought the only restriction was bleached hair. Anyways, hair that they don't use, or can't...they sell. And use the money for making the wigs. Pantene (I think) also has a donation thingy. And I must say, you beautiful no matter what color you put on your head!
Stacy - Let us know when you start and try not to worry about it. I know that is easier said than done, as its just such a scary thought and such an UGLY word. You will be ok!
Beans - I just don't know what to say about your situation girl. UNBELIEVABLE! I just can't even imagine the anxiety you must have. I would be sooooooo pisssed!
Celebrations for Astorm (cancerversary) personally, I don't do that one. Not a date I WANT to remember! I only know the months that I had surgery, started and ended treatments. Good luck on the ultra sound. Also celebrations for Lady M on her NEGATORY BRCA.
Connie - Glad to see you still have time to stop by The HTL and check in with us. You get an "A".
Stanzie - Can't wait for pictures and what a SCHWEET meal you planned for Kathy. I personally would love the lemon basil chicken pasta recipe. I eat tons of chicken, in fact...I'm surprised I don't cluck! Funny story about Liesl! BTW, it's your day for "Drink of the day".
Welcome Designer Mom. Grab a drink take a look around. Sounds like you know our Beans and Kitty? (You girls letting our secret out?)
Here is our Pirate.....argh argh! (I think)

Lori - thanks for sharing my pirate photo! I just love the color of this wig. Too bad it's a costume wig.
My hair is falling out on my arms and my computer. OMG! I am not going to wash it today. i need it to look halfway decent, when I visit my customers. I did cut off about 2.5 inches last night so it looks fuller, in case the shedding gets really bad. Every time I see hair I examine it to make sure it's mine and not my dogs (they are border collies and have long hair, but not as long as mine). LOL!!!
Designermom is on our chemo June 2010 thread. Glad she found us. We can all eat, drink, take our anti-nausea meds and be happy at the bar!!! LOL!!!

HI gals, FINALLY have internet in our room, because the tv did not work for over 24 hrs, so we talked them into giving us wireless. BEAUTIFUL, but hot, weather here. The first day was so hot, that even the servers in the openair beach restaurant here at the Marriott were having a hard time working! Some setbacks such as DL not having a record of my tix even though they had upgraded us, so had to buy a new tix and will take it up with travel co when we return (we pd them in FULL months ago). Plus, get to hotel, and they show we should have arrived days earlier...SHEESH...very hot lobby to wait in till they get it straightened out. A couple hrs later, they upgrade us to top floor, ocean front room....OK that part was very nice!!! View of pools, ocean, parasailers, cruise ships coming in, etc. from our balcony. Miloryder, get in touch with me!!! I will pm you my email in case you don't have it, in case you are getting here while we are still here, or maybe we will cross paths at the airport!!
Sorry to hear of more delays, beans, and of your hair falling out Heather....so many problems, but we can escape from it here!
Stanzies dishes were sooooooo good....I mean we were salivating for her dishes after arriving on the island....so much better than what we can find here! And that dessert was to die for also. I think we should all gather at her house for our get-together!!!! Amazing house and amazing grounds, fountain, and pool. We also got to see Liesel (sp?) staring down the pool cleaner at the edge of the pool.....precious. She has lovely children too! And yes, I did not expect the extent of damage to the ceiling.....but luckily the water did not damage any of her beautiful furniture!
So nice to get back on our thread here and see how everyone is doing. Read all the posts, and want to say hi to everyone, but not enough time to respond to all the posts! Maybe I can meet miloryder while we are here! Oh, the seller of the prop for my parents now wants to close asap (cause of seller of house he wants), so have had to be back and forth with emails while on vaca...SHEESH again!!!!
Just limin',
Kathy

Native Mainer - It is so so so good to hear from you! What a long surgery, wow, I was whining about mine at 2 ½ hours. Also it is so good to hear you are happy with the results & B9 path report- fantastic news! Rest up, take care and hope to hear from you again soon.
DesignerMom - Yes, I stumbled into this fun bar and haven'y been kicked out yet. I like to hang out in the pool at the swim up bar. It's always sunny, perfect bikini weather (and I actually look good in a bikini for the first time in how many years???), and the bartenders keep my Shirley Temples full. Can't wait to get off these antib's so I can order another vodka martini. I hope you will have fun here too. None of the food or drinks have any calories and there are no hangovers. And the really cool thing is the bartenders drive us home if we get too drunk!
Connie - Great to hear from you again too, sounds like you are very busy! Good point to celebrate keeping my hair longer.
LadyM - Fantastic news on the BRCA test!
Astorm - I will be praying for good US results for you. I hope it doesn't lead to more invasive stuff - yuck-O.
kittycat - I love your new photo, really nice. Good luck with the hair loss, I'm sorry you're going through that but you sound in good spirits so that will help.
Stanzie - Nice menu! Thanks for the sympathies about another delay. I'm almost 100% sure that it's a go July 6. I even have one sister flying in to Seattle to be with me and another driving to town. I hope to have an easy time, for sure. I told my sisters that we're just going to have fun no matter what, and they have to prop me up and take me around to all the shops and stuff even if I don't feel well. I told them that I'll have all my puke pills with me but if I feel like puking I can just puke and then keep shopping. So I'll bring my barf pan too - LOL! I really enjoyed your story about Dewey and Liesl - very cute - and I hope you get ceiling pics on.
Goldie - You know, I was really anxious the first two or threeeeee times I was posta start, it's all gone now for some reason. Maybe it will be back when I'm actually sitting in the chair. I will say I'm pissed about 4 weeks with a drain for the axillary dis and then the infection, and now battling to keep yeast at bay. Thank God for yogurt and acidophillus. BTW That kitty is a beauty isn't she! I love the pirate pic!
I'm mostly doing great but have a weird schedule to keep yeast from taking over my bod. I'm driving my DH nuts with eating yogurt in the middle of the night. Some things are hard to explain to guys. Our refrigerator makes this loud groaning sqeek everytime I open it, so it wakes him up and then he's all sleepy-grumpy in the morning. He finally was so tired he slept all night last night and didn't hear me getting up every 2 or 3 hours. This too shall pass....(only 3 more days - yeah!!)

Wahine - Good to hear from you, sorry to hear of your logistical problems, but it sounds like you're having a nice time. Hope you meet up with milo and good luck with the house deal for your folks. Cheers!

If you want to give that special someone a unique gift, the Mezz at Foxwoods Resort Casino offers a $3,000 cocktail that will surely impress her. The Sapphire Martini contains Curacao, Sapphire gin, and dry vermouth. What makes it so expensive is the fact that it's served in a glass rimmed with blue sugar, and instead of the usual olive, you get a blue sapphire and diamond earrings!
Now if one could just find the handsome wonder to present this cocktail!!
(I did it , I found picture and posted!)

Took so long doing the picture - I'll post reciped and pictures of visit later tonight! More later....

Ooo, Stanzie, I like. My go-to cocktail is Bombay Sapphire but I've never made it with Curacao. Maybe I'll wear my sapphite earrings to the clinic today for luck.
Heather -- I would wear that pirate costume every day if I were you! When my girls were younger I used to make them some pretty clever costumes (once I turned a 3 YO into a pumpkin fairy, which she had described in great detail). They would wear their costumes for weeks after Halloween. Sometimes when I look at my 5'9" 14 YO, I could swear I still see that squash blossom hat on her head. There are adults in my community who walk around in costumes so no one would even notice here! My SIL really had a good time with the wigs. I think men really like variety too!

wahine - how fun that you are still joining us at the bar AND you're on vacation. i want one of those fruity drinks with an umbrella on it! And maybe a pu pu platter - oops, that's Hawaii. Maybe they have those in the Caribbean. Tell my pirate friends I said "Argh mateys!"
Astorm- what kind of community do you live in that the adults wear costumes on a regular basis? I live in Las Vegas, so I guess anything goes here. I was thinking of getting a showgirl wig. Woo Hoo!!!
0 -
Thanks Lori for posting that pic of me. I was able to save it to my computer and use it for my profile pic. I decided to use the pirate photo for today, since wahine is in the Caribbean! LOL!

Stanzie, I had never seen a $3k cocktail b4......WOWSA! And it looks beautiful too. Sorry I spellled Liesl's name wrong earlier....for some reason my mind hit a blank (DUH.....can blame it on another senior moment, right?).
Looks like miloryder and I will miss each other by a few days....wouldn't that have been something if we could have met up here!!! There is a swim up bar in one of the pools that looked SO similar to the one we have here at he HTL!!!! Had fun swimming in the pool....doing somersaults, handstands, and acting silly, since I don't know anyone here. Also a very nice day at the beach on property, even found an open beach umbrella....YAY.....cause it is hot. But yesterday and today there have been tradewinds and seems so much cooler than when we arrived. Still hot, but tolerable. Had the MOST AMAZING drink yesterday....a mango daquiri that tasted like pure pureed mango. I asked....and all they add to the mango is a little sugar and dark rum! YUMMMMMO! Rum is cheap here, and actually saw vodka and gin in the grocery store for $1.99 a litre...surely that would give you a massive headache, but I have never seen it so cheap!
NM, So glad you are back here with us, and let us know how you are doing. OMG what a long surgery you had......very thankful you made it through that okay. BE sure to take it easy now, ok????
Heather, LOVE your avatar...that is such a cute pic of you...and how sweet to put that pic up since I am in St. Thomas! See lots of "pirate" ships go by, from our room, full of tourists!
Beans, Hang in there! You have a good attitude about all this waiting and all the delays you have endured.
Dee, Don't be a stranger again....it was so cool for you to pop in at just the right moment! HD, Junie, where is everyone???????
Well.....its a hard job but someone has to do it....gotta go have a pina colada......
Chairs!

Kittycat - really cute. Santa Cruz is full of crazies and hippies. The downtown area had a campaign "keep Santa Cruz weird"... need I say more. I think you have some crazies in LV too but they probably go home.
Got my new glasses! Splurged a little, they are Dior and have bling on the sides. Well I just drank 40 ounces (of water unfortunately) and I'm off to the clinic. One the way home I'm picking up 6 bottles of wine that I have on hold at my favorite wine merchant but I can't imagine drinking anything else today.
0 -
AStorm, Are those your new glasses in your avatar?? They look really pretty!! Hope all goes well for you today. I loved hearing about the costumes you used to make for your kids, and can just visualize the pumpkin!!!! Hmmmmmmm.....we might have to help you drink all that wine....j/k!

Hey, Ladies! Had my first total meltdown since coming home, and now I'm exhasted. Gotta corner I can nest up in and watch the goings-on? And Jocks, dear, PLEASE massage my feet!
I am getting better slowly, but still very tired. Will drop in from time to time.
0 -
Awwwwwwwwwwwww.....so sorry NM about your meltdown. Not unusual with all you have been through, but sorry it happened. Good for you, asking Jocks for a foot massage....I think one of the gals here mentioned you could have Pants or Jocks all to your self for awhile, so go for it! Ask them for whatever will make you feel more comfy, and happier! Glad you are doing better....it will take time, and hopefully you will have a little more improvement every day. Yes, nestle in the corner if you like.....there are lots of happenings to watch here. (((NM)))

NM, glad you are back home. Tough surgery. It is going to take a while. I have been having fun seeing all the new avatars...etc. Bean...gawd....you need more than the shirley temple. How about a vodka spiked yogurt? I hope you get started this week. Kathy, so neat that you two gals got to meet. Food sounds excellent! Heather...you are a gorgeous wench for sure. I do so remember the hair falling out episode. It was not one of my fondest memories. Then when your head starts hurting...what the hell is that all about? AStorm, nice shades and love the bling! Good luck on that US today. I hope all you gals in the trt zone are doing as well as can be. Oh, and about the dog chasing the pool cleaner...how funny. I would love to see that on video. We do need some pics anyway Stanzie. Connie...glad you are checking in while busy, and another big welcome to all the new gals....I am not doing this in word so can't go back and check pages. Junie...hope your bed and breakfast is not to0 tiring on you. Hi to Miloryder, Dee, Lori, Jaybird! Hi Casinogal! I know I am missing people but I really have to run, to the fridge. Chores! HunkyD

NM - I am so sorry today was rough but I guess melt downs are part of the package but I do remember how hard it was and it brings it all back. It will get better, really!
OK, so I'm so photograph challenged it is just sad. I've spent hours trying to do this and no luck. I do agree posting something from the internet is a whole lot easier than from your own pictures. I did get the picture into photobucket and got the URl and ....nothing. Arg!
Will keep trying but patience is apparently needed before seeing any pictures - sigh.
Ok so for the recipes - I took a basic recipe and expanded on it and tried to remember everything but some measurments are very approximate but it is more what you like or don't like. It turned out long. I put the chicken pasta and the very simple fudge pie on the same page. I'm not sure how much space these posts allow so perhaps if you are interested in the recipes PM me and I'd be happy to share.
I think Wahine's hubby took pictures of the actual food - not sure if it made a particularily pretty plate but those I don't have. Anyway, will keep trying to post our toast to all of you!!!

grr still trying to post picture... A-storm fabulous glasses!!! They go perfect with your little dachsund! Have I had too much to drink or when you posted your puppys picture was he/she playing the piano or should I just go to bed now?

Huggsss to ALL...quick pop in while I can. DD and g/kids gone after wonderful 6-day visit. Had just enough time to wash up bedding and remake bed and DH friend rolled in for a couple days....soon as he leaves, more kids/grandkids for the 4th. I'm one worn out puppy just now! Had one hell of a storm while g/kids were here--rained SO hard--and ceiling leaked again--scared one of the grandkids when more plaster started falling. DH FINALLY called someone to come look at ceiling/roof and see what they think is the problem. Haven't heard back from them yet. They are probably scared to come back--they came early--DH and friend out doing guy crap and I was in the shower....heard the doorbell,so threw on robe and raced to door because with everything else going on we've had computer problems (and have been having withdrawal sypmtoms for a couple days!!!) and was looking for new desktop monitor to be shipped and was hoping it was my UPS guy....so, there I am dripping wet--tell them come on in and do what you need--give me a few minutes...race back to shower; get soap off; get dressed--and, they're gone! Go back to blow dry hair and doorbell rings again--yayyyy the UPS guy with the monitor!!! Absolute total chaos constantly!!
Sipping on a nice Merlot that we had with dinner....think I will probably have to finish off the bottle! It is a Red Diamond label; think it is from vinyards in Washington state. Really good--we bought a case while we were in StLouis area last week...lord, I love wine--but it will talk to me all day tomorrow!!!
Gonna pour me one more glass and ask Jocks to ice me up a bucket of ML--heading out to the pool to see who's there. Maybe we could add a resident shrink to one corner of the HTL--I surely do think I might be losing my mind!!!! thinking of you all...hugggsssss!!!

Stanzie - the weener-pup is my study buddy and that is a calculator and pile of really boring accounting textbooks. I'm in the process of taking the CPA exam (one exam passed, one more next week and then 2 more by the end of the year)... hence the nerd-girl glasses.
Junie - sounds hectic! Have another glass of wine. Might want to get Pants to help you with that ice, or one of the wenches. Jocks is busy with NM's feet.
NM - the longer you are under, the longer it takes to get that stuff out of your system. Can't imagine why Michael Jackson felt this was restful! Maybe he had better drugs than I had. I still like the vodka idea...
Ok, ladies. If anyone offers you a pelvic ultrasound - run and hide. They had me drink 40 ounces of water in 30 minutes and then wait an hour for the procedure. It was one of those 90-minute hours. And then the tech said my bladder wasn't full and made me drink another 16 ounces of water and wait another 30 minutes... still not full and I couldn't drink any more so we waited another hour before she said they need to reschedule. I laughed but she was serious. Told her that was not okay so she did the ultrasound. I think she wanted to go home early and I messed up her plans cuz she pressed on my bladder until I almost screamed. By the time she finished i was smacking myself on the forehead to keep from bursting and/or crying. Then she let me go to the bathroom... but guess what? that was just the OUTSIDE part of the procedure...
On the way home I picked up some really nice wines and we are now enjoying a little white Burgundy.

OMG junie, PULEEZ don't let strangers in your house and then run back into the shower. That could have been a really bad scenario! Guess the roofer guys didn't know what to think...that part is funny though. Hope you got your new puter and/or monitor all set up and purring along. I am finding it SLOW using this teeny netbook, and for you and DH to share one for awhile must've been hard. Boy are we spoiled nowadays! I remember (yup I am OLD! LOL) when it was so amazing to even have those "computers" we first had...no online capabilities....and had to hook up to a cassette player and enter those programs manually! A couple of yrs later, DD comes home from HS and gets "online" (had real computers then), but I was amazed that she could "connect" with others that way. And what a learning experience it has been!
AStorm, Is that your pic in your avatar? When you posted your new glasses pic it looked like a professional model's pic....but now you have another one sans glasses. That is a gorgeous photo, if that is you, then you are very pretty! What an ordeal you had yesterday....SHEESH...very glad you insisted on having the procedure done THEN, instead of having to go thru that again. Hope you hear good results. Nice to enjoy the wine at home...YAY for that!!!
I think miloryder mentioned she was going to post the "Painkiller" as the drink of the day, since it is sorta the unnofficial drink here? I prob need to really try one today! And sounds like several of us could use a "painkiller"!!! NM, I do hope that you are being pampered at the HTL...and that you are feeling a little better today. Sending gentle hugs again...(((NM)))).
Oh, when Stanzie mentioned the menu she prepared, I think she omitted the yummy pupus.... they had basil,tomato,cheese....yummmmmmmmm! If the recipes are too big to post, please send them to me in an email Stanzie, if you have time. You are an amazing cook, and awesome hostess!
CHAIRS (I like that better than CHORES, HD...lol..but you are so funny to think those up!),

Kathy, amazing how you always find time to post while on vacation! Sounds amazingly beautiful. Bummer you are going to miss Milo and hope you can get those other problems taken care of as well. I hope you can take a picture of that swim up bar. And you can do summersaults and handstand? I'm impressed!
Beans, no one gets kicked out The HTL. You have to leave on your own! But I can't imagine why anyone would WANT to leave! We are crossing our fingers for the 6th and no yeast infections. Good grief, if it's not one thing with you, it's another!
Astorm, when do you get results from your US. I hope you don't have to wait too long. Just read about the problems. Oh how nice it would have been if you could have just let "loose" on her! Also, its nice to put a face to the name. Nice shades Ms Bling Bling.
Stanzie, that BY FAR has to be the BEST drink of the day. I'd like at least 6 please, dear Pants darling.
Kitty, you are welcome! I hesitated, as I didn't ask you first. But since you have approved before I thought it would be ok. I also did not say who it was, just "our pirate". You are so darned cute in anything you have on!
NM, we have lots of little corners to sit in, I'll even join you. Meltdowns are allowed, although not encouraged! Hope you are feeling better today. Gentle hugs to you! Check in when you can, or just stop by and read so you don't miss any fun! And don't' worry about catching up with replies.
Oh dear Junie! Soooo much going on, I don't know how you do it, and then to have all of those issues on top of it all.
HD, you crack me up...."chores"....but I have to agree with Kathy. But mostly I like.....
CHears!0 -
Kathy - aww, you are too sweet. Everyone looks good in this bar! I don't have a camera anymore (kids seems to absorb them or something) so I had to wait for one of them to upload a photo of their mother. Took long enough!
Lori - that's what my DH said!
I want to go to Stanzie's house! Maybe she'll bring a little puupuu platter here to the HTL.
I see we are all sitting around the pool with our bling from yesterday's Drink-o-the-Day! i just realized why I had such a terrible experience yesterday -- I forgot to wear my earrings! My mama always said it's easier to make friends and influence people when you're wearing a nice piece if jewelry or some really cute shoes. Could have used some of her Southern charm yesterday!
0 -
Goldie - tried the copy and paste and nothing. I got the one up so I know it is possible... I'll just keep at it. I actually just like the glass on the drink but then when I saw it came with jewels I know we all needed those to cheer us up!
A-Storm - I think your glasses make you look very pretty - no way nerdish! My Mom said the same thing - also to dress up when going shopping as you will get better attention. So you will definately have to have the drink for the jewelry! CPA - Wow, I'm in admiration - means you can actually do math!! Going to take my daughter for her first math tutor appointment this afternoon. She is excited cause it is a male tutor and it will be at Caribou Cafe so she can have decafe coffee - she is happy! That was certainly the most horrible US I have ever heard of - can't imagine why they at least couldn't have been nicer - hoping you get good news soon!
Junie- Oh heavens you life sounds exactly how mine goes! It is really crazy to read about all that but I so understand!
Heather - the pirate costume is stunning! How fun!
NM.- thinking of you - hope you can come out and play in the sunshine soon and get your vit. D. and be pampered while you float serenly around the pool. Perhaps you will need some gorgeors pool boys to fan you and feed you peeled grapes to get your strengh back. Take care!

Stanzie - Loved the sapphire martini and the pic is gorgeous. Hope you can get those pics posted, would love to see them.
Wahine - too bad you and miloryder won't get a chance to meet there. Nice of you to keep us up to date an your trip, it sounds so nice and fun swimming in the pool, I love doing sommersauts and all, takes me back to when I was a kid. That mango daquiri sounds so delish...and booze prices are amazingly low, please stock up and send some over here!
Kittycat - you and Astorm really have a lot of crazies - Vegas and Santa Cruz - wow!
Astorm - maybe I missed the glasses? You are so pretty in your new avatar, nice pic! I had the transvag US a month or so ago, you described it perfectly, I had one thing to add, tho, which was good ol' flo showed up for mine too, just to add to the whole joyful experience. CPA exam, you smartie! I got an MBA and thought about going for the CPA but my eyes glazed over at all the accounting. Almost as bad a chemistry but in chem we got to goof around in the lab and try to blow each other up. You're smart and cute and I wish you all the best with the CPA deal. I hire a CPA to do our taxes, it is such a great profession, we've been with the same guy for proly 20 years and he helps us so much.
NM - I'm so sorry to hear you had a meltdown. You have been through so much I can only imagine how you must be feeling. I'm so glad you have a good corner to take refuge in while your healing, and thank God Jocks is there to massage your feet! Be sure to take a lot of soft pillows and however many boxes of kleenex...just take it nice and slow and easy and please drop in when you can. It is always a delight to hear from you!! Rest and recover and do like HD told me, add some vodka to your yogurt (or to whatever you're eating). It really helps.
Junie - what a lot going on! So glad you're getting the computer probs fixed. I've had my share lately and I'm waiting for UPS to deliver some new parts and maybe even a new laptop!
HD - Ya know, spiking vodka into my Honey Nut Cheerios each morning has been a no brainer, but how could I have missed the idea of spiking it in my yogurt??? I'll remedy that right away, thanks for the suggestion.
Goldie - thanks for keeping your fingers crossed for me, I appreciate that! I gotta be all clear within these 6 days so I can graduate from whatever the heck this is to whatever the heck chemo will do to me, oh boy, I think I can...I think I can...chug-a-chug-a...toot...toot!
