    You guys are cracking me up!  I need it!  Day 3 of chemo #2.  Feeling a little lousy today.  I have bone pain from the Neulasta shot and a little queasiness.  I've been eating little meals every few hours and keeping up on my new anti-nausea meds.

    So, in addition to getting my head shaved, I got my 2 long hair cats shaved into a lion cut.  They look so adorable!  My husband is due for a buzz cut.  I figured we should take a family portrait of the buzz cuts.  We could send it out for Christmas and really scare the relatives!  LOL!

    I wore my wig out for the first time yesterday to get the Neulasta shot.  The nurse agreed that I needed to trim a little off, so I ventured to the wig shop afterward.  Also, got me a couple more cute head scarves there.

    Everyone have a wonderful 4th of July!!!  :)  I'll probably be sleeping!  LOL!

    Heather, glad to see you are trying to get that protein down....good girl! Don't forget the water. Also glad to see you are resting when you need it. All of that is so important! The dreaded DAY 3 - I remember it WELL!  Hope the new puke pills do the trick and don't give you another headache.

    Wow, Lori! I *never* looked that hot so I hope you aren't complaining.

    That orange kitty on the shelf looks like my avatar! We took him and his brother to this really expensive cat B&B once. When we came to pick him up he was on this really high shelf and wouldn't come down. He was starving and lapped up half a bowl of water... and he had peed on himself. No one could tell me if he actually come down off the shelf during the 3 days he was there. This is a 20# cat who isn't afraid of dogs.

    I agree I never looked like that in my life! Wow, how wonderful! I just don't even know what to say. I'd love to have great pictures like that to look back on but - oh well. I'm just so happy to know someone has such great pictures. Actually from your small avatar picture - I don't believe you have changed at all - you still are very beautiful! Thanks for posting - you look so happy! I love that!!

     Astorm - that is very sweet about the kitty. My cat is almost all black and not very social but deep down I know she is a lovely sweet girl so even when she bites I know she is still a wonderful little creature and I'm grateful she is with us. My sweet and wonderful little dog is everything to me but it is my cat when I'm really upset and crying who comes and licks the tear from my face and lies down with me. Animals are amazingly wonderful

    Had my first follow up appointment in Boston on Thursday, got one drain pulled, found out I'm having a reaction to the dermabond or ink or something along all the incision lines, the belly button is still "mad at us" and all black,  the belly incision is "unzipping" but everything is "comiing along just fine."  I was so exhuasted by the time  got back  home at 7:30 pm  that I didn't even notice the power was out.  I was so tired all I did was sleep yesterday.  I don't feel much more energetic today. So, that's my sad story, I'm going back into my corner to sleep, sulk, or whatever for a while. Happy 4th of July weekend everyone!

    Lori, I don't know what to say.  I don't think your shoes are very appropriate for riding though....LMAO!  NM, gawd..I am so sorry you are going through some problems with incision.  I hope each day brings you a little more energy.  We are headed out for a day trip so I have to just wish everyone a happy Saturday and blast off.  Chairs  HD

    HD - Tanks for the beary punny joke, Me love this bar too, Me need drinky.

    Dee - Love the party, it's a blast! Thanks for the fantastic picture!!!!!!

    goldie - Hot, Cha, Cha, Chica! What a babe! Love your outfit and quad, you are sossss red hot! Love the kitty rescue and the fireworks tooooooooo. Let's party!

    Stanzie, AStorm - I love your kitty stories. I miss my old shelter cat. He was sweet and affectionate and so lovable.

    boz

    NM - My heart goes out to you. I've been recovering from my comparitively itsy-bitsy surgery and it's been hard...little by little it gets better. Keep resting and I just know you will get through this tough part. Sending you lots of teddy bear and kitty hugs...

    My beach town is getting ready for all the fireworks, this is the busiest time of year here and it's just a hassle getting anywhere so I try to stay home. This will be my third 4th here and every year it gets foggy and drizzly and you can hardly see the fireworks. I live across the street from the water where the city does the show, today it's actually sunny so hopefully it will be tomorrow and  I might see the fireworks from my deck. I'm wishing all you hotties the most fabulous and fun 4th of July tomorrow!!

    Hunky, Beanie, don't get carried away with sympathy for me--my doc told me this would happen with the belly incision,  Well, actually, he said to plan on it and if it doesn't then I can celebrate being the one in a million it DOESN'T happen to.  And I've been through worse before with the holes in the left boob that wouldn't heal b/c of rads.  The belly will heal.  I got a good look at it today with a mirror and it isn't even as bad as I thought it was.  I already know how to deal with this and, BIG BENEFIT--my current doc lets me shower with the drains in and the incision open--actually ENCOURAGES it!  So I won't spend this whole summer scheming and plotting to sneak one shower a month past the doc!

    Now if anyone wants to send sympathy--no coffee, no chocoloate, no caffiene for 1 MONTH after surgery!  I may go mad. . . .

    Happy 4th to all my lounge friends!!!   It is cool and quite rainy this week end--but everyone is out on the boat just now.   I knew I'd be miserable--too chilly--and if "momma" ain't happy, no one else will be either!!!   I'll use the peace and quiet time to get things ready for our cookout.

    We were surprised to learn that we also now have grandkid number TEN on the way!

    Hope everyone is having a great weekend!   I'm looking forward to some quality lounge time come Tuesday!!!    Hugggssssss!!!

    Hi All, I wanted to post my 4th of July Cocktail for all to enjoy. I'm not sure if anyone else was going to post a drink so I hope it's okay if I do, this one looks like it has a double kick:

    FOURTH OF JULY COCKTAIL (with no caffeine, coffee, or chocolate so NM can drink too)

    Ingredients:

    * 1 oz watermelon schnapps

    * 1 big splash of cranberry juice

    * 1 thin slice of jalapeno or serrano pepper

    * 1 slice of lemon and 1 slice of lime

    * 1.5 oz tequilla

    * 1/4 oz blue curacao

    * 1/2 oz syrup

    * watermellon wedge for garnish

    Directions:  Mix schnapps and cranberry juice in a shaker and pour over ice into a glass. Next mix in the shaker the jalapeno, lemon, lime and tequila, blue curacao, and syrup. Slowly strain into the glass over the red layer and garnish with watermelon.  4th cocktail

    CHEERS & HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

But at least you can get an idea of what we saw from our balcony! Hope Miloryder has a great trip this week, to St. Thomas!ChEARS!

    Beans, thats a gorgeous pic too! What a perfect reflection. We didn't go to the fireworks tonight, but it came to US....neighbors have all been setting off the pretty ones that explode up high with pretty colors. Just sat on our deck and got to see some spectacular ones.....although it IS illegal here. Oh well....nice celebration....just gotta keep reassuring the dogs that all is ok. DH was saying how neat it will be to set them off over the lake next yr, from the place my parents are buying. Knowing us, we will prob get caught...LOL.

    Happy, Happy, everyone!

    Quick Late Happy 4th!!!The Country Club about a mile or two away set off fireworks which if not for the trees would have been perfect ! As it was they looked like they were two houses down and were quite amazing. However!! my daughter was sure our cat was lost forever with the noise. I kept telling her she would come in as soon as they finished but she couldn't relax and enjoy the show not knowing where her baby was. Sure enough immediately after the finale in she came! Whew!!!

    Wahine - Love the vacation pictures!!!

    The drink is perfect and the balloon fabulous!! So now hopefully sleep! Goodnight All!

    Hope everyone had a fantastic holiday. We went for our ride out at Escudilla Mountain., about an hour and a half from where we live. Had a wienie roast and shared some wine. It was absolutely beautiful, and the forest is mostly made up of Ponderosa Pines, so the smell was just as amazing as the day. I did change my shoes tho!

    Astom - I AM COMPLAINING! But only because I don't look like that anymore! J/K, I am glad to just be alive. Had to laugh at the Kitty B&B! (but not the part where you think he may have stayed on the shelf for 3 days) Turn them in for abuse!

    NM - So glad you have the strength to check in with us. Sorry about the problems, they will clear up and in time you will feel better. I can already see a difference, just you're your posts! You are doing the right thing...R&R! Wishing you a super speedy recovery my friend. Grab yourself a couple of drinks from the percotini fountain!

    HD - where did you go for your day trip?

    Beans-Do you get to start chemo tomorrow? And you can post a drink whenever you like. If there's one there already, post anyways. Nothing says we can't have more than one DOTD!

    Junie-glad you got that little bit of quiet time. And a big CONGRATS on GB #10!

    Dee-you got that right! Best thread on BCO! Hope you were able to enjoy the Holiday Weekend. Don't be such a stranger...we miss you!

    Kathy-I am so envious. What gorgeous views. I'll bet you just hated to leave!

    LadyM-I too am glad you survived! 4 teen boys? You have your hands full! But I am thinking its better than having 4 teen girls!

    This is Escudilla Mountain. We did not make it to the summit, but did do lots of riding.

    Morning Lounge Lizards!

    Melanie (Madonna), YES....there ARE iguanas all over St. Thomas....or at least a million of them at the resort we were at! So funny...the first ones we saw, I was taking pics of....then realized we would see several every day! Had to warn a sunbathing gal at the pool...a HUGE iguana was sauntering over behind her, near her head. Miloryder will be back there soon...this week....she goes there so much...we should ask her if there are iguanas all over the island. I know at our resort, they feed them, and have  "feeding iguanas at 10 am" as an activity...LOL.

    Stanzie, So glad your cat returned home after "all was safe".....and too bad your sweet daughter was sooooo worried...can't blame her though. We lost our dalmation one yr, when we were in Tunica for New Years Eve..neighbors did tons of fireworks. He jumped the wood fence and ended up run over on a busy highway over a mile away. That was dreadful....broke my heart....and my DD who was feeding our dogs for us, had to go and claim him on the highway (someone at church had mentioned seeing a dalmation run over, so announced it, and took her there). Also made me so mad that they were doing fireworks in the city, illegally, which caused my dog to die. So pets really do get very scared with fireworks, and we have to keep a watch on them. Glad yours had a happy ending!!!

    OK....'nuff sadness...I need a STIFF drinkie....DH made our watermelon margaritas last night, but the first batch didn't have enough watermelon in it, so I asked him to make some more. WELL....he makes doubles for himself, and he really was feeling the likker. I found things put away in the kitchen in the strangest places.....LOL! And he had to go to bed early....so funny!!! I finally put up a flag holder yesterday so we could fly our flag...since we both served in the military, it was about time we had a flag flying on a special day! (Good thing I didn't ask DH to put it up...it may have ended up upside-down)!

    Lori, What BEAUTIFUL pictures!! I always forget there are some GREEN mountains in AZ! Sounds like you had a lovely day.

    ChEARS Big Ears (gotta get ready to be in OZ in 2 mo)!

    edit: Lori, just saw the pics you posted.....SO GREAT how you put it all together!!! I wouldn't even know where to start. Great job! Is there anyway to include the pic that HD did, of that bar picture that had HUNK on the tv screen??? Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!!!!! Very  much appreciated, and now all the new gals can see what we all put together.....was it last year that we created the HTL?? And then all the additions!

    Thanks K, I do have lots of pictures to add, and I do have that one you are talking about. I bet I have 30-50 pictures I have gone back through pages and saved. I won't be able to put them in any kind of order as there are too many. One of the most recent ones I need to find is the cartoon one of the party bus. So whoever posted that, could you post again or if you know what page its on, I can get it from there.

    Song I was thinking of was "I love this bar" Toby Keith, I think?

    We'll make suggestions as usual, and then vote. I do have a couple pics of some of our patrons. If anyone doesn't want those on the video, TELL ME. They would only be ones that were already posted here at The HTL.

    Lori, I wouldn't want the one I posted waaaaay back of me and Junie and Hunk to show up on youtube! But the one of us with grass skirts was rather cute....can't remember who put that one together. I'll need to listen to that bar song...not a country fan so haven't heard it, but I do like some country songs, and I'm sure it would be a good one!
